now my USB is protected, it is not recognized in writing

my USB is not recognized, and when it is to be determined it is write protected. I tried to re-formatting it but its write protected and it does not work. I tried to copy my files to my pc and then remove them but write protected and no it's not be recognized which is more than a kick in the nuts for me lol.  I use XP and windows 7 at home, at College and I tried run / devmnger... thing and does not work either. Anyone who has an idea, it would be much appreciated. Dave.

I have seen this before... to be honest I just threw the USB off as they fairly cheap these days. I suspected it was a problem with the chip of the card controller I've tried all kinds of things to do work, formatting, disassemble, check disk etc.

  • Nighthawk R8500, USB 3.0 Flash drive not recognized USB 3.0 Port, Port of only 2.0

My Nighthawk R8500 router with the latest firmware, V1.0.2.54_1.0.56, does not recognize my SanDisk Ultra Fit 128 GB USB 3.0 Flash drive when it is connected to the router USB 3.0 Port. The Ultra Fit is formatted in FAT32 and works fine when plugged into USB Port 2.0 router or my laptop.

At first, I thought maybe USB 3.0 Port on my router wasn't working at all, but it recognizes my SanDisk 16 GB Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive that is also formatted FAT 32. Unfortunately both my laptop have USB 2.0 Ports, so I don't know if the problem is with the router or the Ultra Fit Flash Drive. Everyone knows about this problem of their Flash 3.0 player is not recognized in USB 3.0 Port their router, especially with a SanDisk Ultra Fit? This problem can be resolved through firmware? I'd really like to take full advantage of the speed of USB 3.0 as I like to share files through my router via ReadyShare and ReadyCloud.

Thanks in advance for any help, Carlos

Technical support with me. Installation of a updated firmware, V1.0.2.64_1.0.62, which became available shortly after my post, solved the problem. -Carlos

  • USB 2.0 Bluetooth DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED - Equium A100-147

    Hi all!!!

I have posted b4 about my problems of BT, but still no further forward.

I have a 2.0 usb toggle universl BT, my last worked well until it broke.

Since I had xp pro installed, but my USB does not recognize my rocking do not even have a pop up? any ideas.

When I plug it 3 fast Dong

    Unplug and made 2 Dong

I tried to install the drivers usb, but nothing.

do my head now... Please someone help me resolve this issue!

As far I know Equium A100-147 doesn t support the internal BT module and so if it was not equipped with the BT Toshiba stack.

If you use an external 3rd party module BT, then you should check if there are drivers designed specially for this external BT dongle.

Also, check if the BT dongle would be recognized in the Device Manager.
If there is no dongle BT listed in the list of devices, then remove all controllers and hubs of UBS in the list and restart the device.
After rebooting again Win XP should initialize the USB ports again and then you try to plug the dongle BT again.

    Good luck

Thank you for your message.  Other USB devices work on your computers?  If so, which can exclude the USB port.  This would lead us to a driver problem.  Your computers are up-to-date on Windows Updates?  Execution of Windows updates can load drivers that may correct this problem.  You can also click HERE and enter your SD card reader model and possibly download a driver.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.

  • Failure of Windows 8 install, now the Windows 7 product key is not recognized, because it was an upgrade only.

After several attempts of downloaded installation windows 8, I ended up with a useless and made desktop resettlement using my windows disc 7. Now, the product key for my windows 7 is recognized as a key to upgrade only and does not have to satisfy to MPA.  Where is my satisfaction? I have 30 days to resolve. Either I need a key for my 7, or a facility for my 8. Everything on my end, that I could find online tried. I think this is a Microsoft problem and the solution must come from them.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

  • External USB (NTFS) 2 TB drive not recognized

    Ladies and gentlemen,

I m a complete beginner of VMWare, who inherited the ESX of my predecessor structure. The server host is installed on Linux and I m accessing it through my virtual Win 2003 Server installation. Hope that I can turn to you with my question:

I m running an e-mail server on Win2003 and search for backups add a 2 TB external hard drive. I think that I´d be simple add in Win 2003 vm ware config and see the resource in Windows after restart. Of course, this didn t happen.

I can not even see in available resources. I read some of the similar posts here, and some say that this USB support is not available in ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 and I want to upgrade. Others say it s enough to reconfigure the VMX file to add the USB support. I had a quick glance in the vmware log and he says (see below) that he actually sees, then there might be a glimpse of hope.

Yes, I have plugged in and out several times in despair :)

The problem is worse that I cannot access the server host correctly because have no knowledge of Linux and am looking at all this only through the installation of the client Win 2003. So the upgrade to eventuall wouldn be an easy thing as well...

Can I please ask you to help if West any solution that would solve this? Thank you very much

    Hello

Have you checked the player on other computers running Windows 7, Vista or XP?

Be sure to check forums and with Support of the manufacturer of the Drive, their documentation online.

It is SanDisk however, these methods can help with other brands of USB keys.

Cruzer not recognized by the PC
    http://KB.SanDisk.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/10/kW/Cruzer/r_id/101834

    ===========================================================

Check with manufacturer's support the system, their drivers and documentation online and ask for their
Forums (if any) for known issues. Search for updates of BIOS, chipset of low-level drivers and others
USB drivers on the site of the manufacturer of the system (motherboard for systems custom built manufacturer).

If a PC remove ALL power and reinstallation of the cards, memory and cables (at both ends where possible)
-in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and make sure that the ventilation openings
are clear. For a laptop on everything that can be done is to reinstall the memory and clear the vents.

If nothing works and it's a PC, you can disable the onboard USB and use a USB add-in card
is not expensive. Of course for a PC or laptop using a real computer store (one who does in)
Home service) or system manufacturer support can be requested.

    ============================================================

    Other troubleshooting methods:

1 reboot to be sure nothing blocks the ports.

Follow these steps to remove corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

    -----------------------------------------------

Then lets refresh the USB stack

Control Panel - Device Manager - click in the box of white/white - VIEW - show hidden devices

Look everywhere EXCEPT USB controllers for your device and if find you them (maybe
plus_d' one of each) under disk drives, you can have several - right CLICK and UNINSTALL
    for all instances

Control Panel right CLICK on EVERYTHING - Serial USB controllers - device configuration-manager and

My wife has an ipod Nano 7 G. We have 10 Windows and iTunes 12.3.3.17. It worked fine for months. But today it has plugged his ipod, and he wiped all the music on the ipod, suffice it to say that she is not happy. She then unplugged, plugged in, and now she is ' ipod detected, but is not recognized.

I uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes. I followed the process to update the driver. But it still does not work. What else can I do to make it work again. In its current form the ipod (just a few months) is essentially useless.
