NTBACKUP. EXE WILL NOT DO AN ASR DISKETTE

I can make a backup of hard drive using NTBACKUP. EXE, but it won't make an ASR recovery on my USB floppy disk. I tried to help a Q299526 article but records were not there. I couldn't find the dossier_Windows/repairs where they were supposed to be. I looked away for the files asr.sif and asrpnp.sif but nothing helped. My PC recognize the USB floppy and it is #1 in the start position.

Hello

I suggest you try the procedure below.

a. click on the star t button, type %windir%/repair and press to enter.
b. now, search for the files Asr.sif and Asrpnp.sif.

Also the article below which might help you.

  • Sidebar.exe will not start

    Hello, Microsoft community.

My problem is, sidebar.exe will not start. He does not appear in the Manager of tasks and does absolutely nothing when I run the executable file.

I have a new laptop, just installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit on it. Now, here's what I just did after installing Windows:
    1 remove some windows components:

    -IE

    -Windows media center

    -Games

    -Tablet components

2 installed all updates and drivers needed

3 optimized for SSD Windows (I installed on the SSD and HDD extra for Windows files):
-moved my user on an internal HARD drive folders
    -off hibernazation
-a rejected the files on the system drive for the content index
-Move page file of SSD to HDD

-people with disabilities Prefetch and Readyboot

To solve the problem, I tried (I rebooted after each operation):

-running sfc/scannow (says it fixed a few errors, but eventually I saw no changes)

    turn the component Windows Gadgets

-in the course of running sidebar.exe administrator

-installation of hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979164) - said that it is not compatible with my setup.

I really hope that the information is more than enough and can someone help me solve the situation.

  • vCAC Designer (cloudutil.exe) will not launch after upgrading to 6.1

After having recently upgraded 6.0.1 to 6.1, we are unable to launch the vCAC GUI Designer (cloudutil.exe). The error stated at the launch of the designer customer is as follows:

    DesignerError.png

We tried the following already without success:

    1. We have a ticket open with support. A sev 1 for two weeks now. The ticket is with genius. Substantial quantities of newspapers were provided to support.
    2. The designer has been improved in 6.1 installation. We followed the procedure to uninstall the old client of Designer, download a new of the IaaS VAMI and install it.
    3. We get the same error, no matter which client or server is installed on the client of the designer. We tried the IaaS server itself (Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1) and several client machines (WIndows 7 SP1).
    4. We use self-signed certificates. Not that it should matter as it was working before the update 6.1 with self-signed certificates, but we validate the cert is in the store of confidence on all computers where the client attempts to run from.
    5. We tried to remove the client, ensuring that the customer directory no longer exists and reinstall the client.
    6. Also tried running Setup of customer "as an administrator".
    7. Validated the client installation program (DesignCenter - Setup.exe) is not "blocked" by right-clicking on it-> properties-> unlock.
    8. Tried to launch the Designer customer (cloudutil.exe) in different compatibility modes.
    9. We are able to run the query in the CLI commands by using cloudutil.exe. This confirms that he is able to talk to the back end. We can even list of all our stubworkflows and see the various revisions of them, but you can't change/see the stubworkflows using the CLI (this must be attached to a separate... note).

We noticed the DynamicOps.Repository Assembly in the error references Version 6.0.0.0 after the upgrade. Some assemblies is not upgraded / replaced as part of the upgrade, it appears, so it's possible, it's normal, but it stood out.

Unrelated to this, we are having a problem with the workflow specific heel after the upgrade as well and you have another position open about it here that Workflow Stub WFStubBuildingMachine fails after upgrading to 6.1

Because we cannot enter the designer customer, we are not able to solve the problems, which means that we are down hard. We would prefer not to roll back even if we have good backups, as if no one else knows this problem then VMware will probably not initially get of it, and we will not be able to upgrade to 6.1 down the road with confidence.

Has anyone seen this or something similar? Even if you do not, you have any suggestions to try?

In case someone else runs into this problem, here is what has been done to work around this problem:

    • Open the cloudutil.exe.config file located in the Design Center directory is installed in.
    • Add the following block of the code highlighted in red between the two lines in black.

    • Save the file and close.
    • Restart the Client to the designer.

This will tell the designer Client to use only 6.1 assemblies at the launch. The customer refers to 6.0 assemblies during the launch after the upgrade which are not present on the file system longer, so it's the only way known to work around him. The development isn't sure why old assemblies are always referenced, but they are reproduced it in their laboratory.

I have windows server 2003 SP2 and Exchange 2003 SP2 installed on it. The server is patched with up-to-date lasted. Whenever I try to run backup windows (ntbackup.exe), nothing is displayed. I can't see Ntbackup.exe process listed in the Task Manager. Any register no error.
    Help, please.

  • WinHlp32.exe will not install. "Update does not apply"

I'm unable to open the help option in the PSpice Student program. I tried download winhlp32.exe but the installer said "update does not apply to your system. Any ideas?
What I have to do is to import files system in PSpice library (files .bsm I think)

    Hi TomAndz,

You may be unable to open the help (.hlp) files that require the Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe).

First cross check what is the file format of the files in the library for PSpice

You will need to check the options in this menu of specific program associated with the search parameters.

Check the link if you need help with the below .hlp files
I can not open Help files that require the Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe)
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/917607

You can contact the software vendor for more information about the option to search within the software.

    I hope this helps!

I used LizardTech DjVuBrowserPlugin50.exe on my old XP PC and recently tested on a laptop.
My new PC has 64-bit Firefox 41 and using 'install module file' produces a message saying
"This add-on has not been not installed because she seems to be corrupted.

The answer is to put npdjvu.dll in the Mozilla Firefox plugins directory, then turn it back on. Open the menu (the right hand of the menu bar icon), and then select Add-ons. Scroll to Viewer DjVu Plugin and change the "Application activation" status to "always enable".
Have had no problems since, while I installed LizardTech Djvu Solo and DjVu Control, which contains DjVuViewer.exe

  • VB6 sp6 package setup.exe will not register files/deivers

    Hello
I wrote several applications in VB6.  Send us these requests to clients for my product configuration in the field.
I use the package Wizard and deployment of VB6 SP6
When the visitors in the field run the setup.exe, they get the error-
An error occurred when registering the file 'C:\Windows\System32\hid.dll '.
This happens to a lot of files - such as Ws32_32.dll, setupapi.dll, mswinsck.ocx...
I read that it has to do with SysWOW64 seen pre-compiled drivers inside who are older than VB6 has access revision to, and that the vb6 setup.exe which is part of the package cannot update drivers SysWOW64.

Is there a way to make a vb6 package that installs on Windows 7?  If not is there at least a way to remove the errors, so that customers are not, the application is running.

    Thank you
    Martin

Problem: Explorer.exe will not start after login.  Desktop is missing, taskbar, tray system, clock, start button and desktop icons and system stalls.  Check the Task Manager shows explorer.exe has not been loaded.  The first couple of times this happened it, CTRL + ALT + DELETE is the Task Manager, and I chose restart from, even when you are connected, and then explorer.exe should boot and load.

I have not checked yet to see, if and when this condition occurs again, if explorer.exe is going to load by clicking New Task Manager tasks.

Safe mode and running last last known good configuration worked the last time.

What should I look for in the registry?

  • Make a backup of ASR, saved, but at the end of the record, I got this message: discovery of the ASR diskette has not been created.

at the end of the recording, I got this message: discovery of the ASR diskette has not been created. You will not be able to restore an ASR backup without the system information stored on this disk. What does that mean? Should I save my data otherwise? I don't have a floppy drive (I'm surprised if someone does) but I have a dvd read/write cd drive... One last thing. When I looked at the content on the flash drive with program de-Frag it was lit, which means completely fragmented, the program recommended it de-fragment it... is this safe with a file of this size on a flash drive?

Original title: Saving went well, but

Windows XP is too old to do something other than a floppy drive.  If the automated system recovery disk is important to your backup and restore needs (HINT: YES it IS!) then get a USB floppy drive to create the ASR disk.  Or get a copy of most modern backup and restore program that works under XP and use modern media (USB, CD/DVD, keys etc.) to create a startup/recovery media.
