problems of Crysis 1 has No black screen now.
I've seen a lot of answers to questions indicating that crysis 1a given accidents to black screens on different o.ses that I had windows 98 XP and Vista and my copy of crysis 1 never gave me a problem unless I used too resouluton that my graphics card could not overcome. So its fustrating it seems that anwser people see that it may have something to do with the fact that the crysis 1 submits this list operating systems to start up will not have windows 7 or the latest graphics cards. I am however trying to operate live 9 and with windows compatatbility for xp service pack 2 and 3 becaused I liked X.P more. I would get an arrested response and a .dll D3d10 fault as if I was running in vista. OK - I quote your new thread, so I can read all the information on one page - stick with a wire on a single topic in the future. It avoids the confusion and repetition of the suggestions.
«I tried everything everyone else has, it just that someone has said that there crysis1 and can play on a 32-bit windows system.» It does not say something on his record or how he got that works perfectly, I guess it's the only one who says it works in 32 bit, all others, say if he to work ultimate 64 bit, why does. I'm using windows 7 32-bit professional. Oh, also instead of use oide im using A.C.H.I put sata up.in my bios it would have something to do with it. IM is not running in parrellel but serial.data flow. »
Nothing to do with AHCI, 32 vs 64-bit or your motherboard is compatible Win8.
«However trying to boot into 9 direct mode and with windows compatatbility for xp service pack 2 and 3 becaused I liked X.P more»
Compatibility mode does not make Win7 run like XP. In addition, it is not for you to determine which
appropriate compatibility established by your bias towards XP. Use what works.
A strange thing with this game is it will run in 32-bit mode with no compatibility setting, but requires a consistency when using the 64-bit .exe - I use Vista sp2 with 64-bit .exe."I would get arrested response and a .dll D3d10 fault as if I was running in vista".
You choose the game settings are what determines if the game uses DX 10 not the operating system.
Some of the very high settings are DX 10. When the gpu is not capable of DX10 these options would be
not be available.
Vista is the first to use DX10 and Win7 is first of all to use DX11 does not mean that they use also
DX9. Check your System 32 folder and you will see many files d3dx9.
Monopoly$ oft seems to think it's a good marketing advertising just the DX10-11 concept with
Vista and Win7. A confusing marketing concept. With that cleared up - tell us exactly what is or is not happening.
EG - accidents to black screen when? When you load or playing?

You always use the same settings when you played the game under XP or have you tried

OK, so last night, my computer was freezing up so I held the power button down to turn off, I turned it back and he asks me if I want to start in safe or just normally. I chose because it starts as usual, it's just sitting there, it goes through the motions as it will start but it never does, I went to sleep woke up to the top and all I have is a black screen with mouse pointer again, nothing has changed, the same things happen when I try to start it in safe mode. I tried to get the disks it is came up with, but the computer seems to not even acknowledge that they were never inserted, I don't know what to do, can anyone help me, I'm sitting here on the laptop of my bf and I am interested in this black screen with the pointer of the mouse in the Middle, I don't know what to do...
Hello
You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

I have a desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400z running Windows 7 (64), my computer was working fine, however I thought that I needed to update the drivers and things from the HP website.
The first thing I installed was the following: H - RS880 - Μatx Motherboard BIOS Update
That restarted immediately frozen mouse on a black screen. When I turn on the computer the lights and the fan turns on but the screen remains black. Their is nothing wrong with the monitor, it's light is on, but when turn light it just says: "monitor going to sleep".
I went through these troubleshooting pages: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/4269972/model/4300925/do...
without success.
Any other suggestions of what I could do to fix this?
Hello
Disconnect the PC and press and hold power for 30 seconds. Remove and replace the battery CMOS. It's a $4 item. Now let's see what happens. If no joy, then try the steps above once again.
If your PC support has been changed or modified then put it back in its original state.

Update BIOS - black screen now on Satellite C660
First of all Hello first post. I have 2 laptops computers C660 girls 1 satellite crashed a while a go so she began using mines. Mine C665D now broke screen can see some of the screen. Decided to try first permutation screen not switch different connectors then swapped hardy Bank 665 to 660 and clean install win7 pro. Was good, but had no network drivers. Do not have another pc iPads allows only a bit difficult to download driver swapped so Hardrive back download driver 660 exchanged again for driver loaded all good work. Reading tips says update all drivers. Started at the top of the page of the Toshiba driver and did the bios update. Crash! During installation stop 'corrupts' BIOS and now will not start. Push button power led both come the fan starts and then just stops. Fact a little research, and it seems that the bios flash was not a good option, too bad it's on the driver download page, won't happen again. I tried to leave without battery f2 etc but still stops. Any help would be appreciated as I am defiantly out of my depth now. The two pieces currently in the laptop, but I'm pretty well on the menu drop-down put back together thing, tempted to bin then all but both will see if you guys can help.
was soon Blowen
A bit of an update might help others?
It seems that I need Ref lash the bios. From what I had read the reading process.
1. make a bootable usb stick (at this stage now)
2. download the bios. I downloaded back wi to be able to extract the files. There are 4 files as follows.
1 bios. ROM 4 356 kalonji
2 BiosCheck 1 kalonji (it is a Notepad I read file)
3. ec.ROM 128 kalonji
4 configuration 1389 kalonji
Not exactly what file to be copied to a guess, I would say 1 but maybe all necessary?3. remove the hard drive and optical drive
4 remove battery insert bootable usb, apparently, it is imperative that you keep it F key kept in then plug power on keep pressing the button F let go after a certain time (30 seconds not sure how long I'll try) release the F key. If you have a USB stick with a light if it lights it is working, wait just restart the system and I hope that you can now enter the rest of the system.
I got my old Acer laptop installed fresh closet 7 win was running very slow spen so much more sorting, day was services using 100% cpu, Windows update, this turned out well and now pretty well I hope make bootable usb and put on the Flash Toshiba bios.
Feel free to add if I missed something.
Thank you

My former of alienware m15x has worked for a long time and recently a program I was running in order to respond and did not close so I shut down my computer and went to look for a snack or something, I'm back with her already turned on but I never turned it on and everything worked out of the screen, it was black and white , but I was actually on the logon screen, do what most people would of done, I rebooted my laptop this time stay in front of her and to my surprise, something that has never happened before, the laptop has attempted to start, the sound of the startup sound knew no more, sounded different and then he moved slowly This has never happened before, and out of nowhere, the 3 locks lights were flashing, at first I thought it was normal until I did some research and discovered it means something, that concerns me a lot, my lights flashed in a sequence of all 3 locks at the same time, so big all the lock 3 lights were flashing at the same time all together. Anyway I tried some things, but none worked, advice? I would really like to help, oh, and there is no warranty left. in any case who all read this thank you very much.
We're actually after looking into it more and try things, something worked, all I had to do was take off the rear housing of the laptop (even if it is off) and take small battery out for about 5 to 10 minutes, put it back in then it clogs and hope for the best, luckily for me it worked. My dad previously owned the laptop and when he bought it was broken (motherboard) and when he was broken it does exactly the thing mine did recently, maybe his old motherboard just needs a reset of the bios (removal of the battery for a while). anyway thanks for the advice and help. :)

Satellite 1900-303 Wont Boot up black screen only - help!
I have a major problem. My Toshiba Satellite 1900, Windows XP Home edition, P4, 2.0 Ghz, 256 MB of RAM (not SP2 updated) won't boot to the top.
I ran Norton Sys works - speed record to defragment the HD. The screen is blank because the level of power that I it turns off after 10 minutes of no entry. My son spent portable (lid) open as he called and thought I forgot to close it as the screen is empty, and of course the laptop is off. When I have opened the screen (cover) still once he did not display and the system has no POST beeps. I tried to not start from a Toshiba Recovery CD - nothing, then a recovery disk - no joy - I then tried to boot from a Windows XP boot CD - once again no joy. A friend gave me a loan of its disk of v6.0 of SPINRITE to start from, as he says that he has its own operating system - once again no joy. Battery adapters and power are all ok, we tested with a multimeter.
Another note is that I have GOBACK installed v3, but because of the fact that the laptop does not start, I can't retrieve the last good point. I also think that as I was running a defragmentation program when this accident occurred the restore points is erased from the memory.
At this point, I'm stumped. I got a job on the laptop (Excel files) that I need to access. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.
My last resort after this forum is to go to the clinic of PC World which I never had used in the past. The laptop was purchased in PC World and I never had a problem with it
Hi Karen,.
When you turn on your laptop you see the Toshiba splash screen? In addition, what indicators are light up when you turn on? for example, Ac, battery, hard disk, CD-Rom, etc. ?

Howdid you try to solve your problem before - probably your best chance immediately to determine what you have done is to try to use the system to a restore point before you start that.
If the system restore fails, let us know and we'll see what we can find.

Envy 15-j144na: indefinate black screen when you turn on
I need help I have a laptop of hp envy 15-j144na
the power led lights up when I press the power on button. the f12 key led stays orange. the caps lock white button will blink twice every four seconds. the screen never lights up.
When I turn on, I hear the drive power upward.
I tried to take out the battery and unplug AC and then pressing the power button / stop for 15 seconds then fix ac and power on.
I tried to remove the battery and memory and power cable. then put it all back together and tension.
I tried to hold the windows key and the b key and pressing power for a second, but it is not the bios update.
I tried to connect an external monitor, but it does not show anything
When I power the laptop on the bios does not appear if I press f2 or DEL or esc.
before that, windows is checked 10 crashed when using bittorrent and then reset and black screen now power on.
any ideas?
I left my laptop this weekend, and he had the same symptoms.
I swapped the hard drive to another hard drive.
The new hard drive has windows 7 and the bios reported that he was unable to start. It was different because I could see something on the screen at least BIOS.
Then I plugged my hard drive laptop screen and back to work and it started windows.
I don't know why the laptop now works. Very strange. I have never seen this on any previous laptops or desktop computers.

I hope someone can help me. I changed a few settings in the BIOS Setup, and now I have just a black screen. I changed the main boot to the DVD player device. is it possible to reset to original settings?
I am running Windows XPclint341,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum. We cannot guide you more precisely by changing the BIOS settings that the BIOS settings are specific to your motherboard. However, most (if not all) parameters of the BIOS have an option to restore the default BIOS (sometimes called "default opitimized"). It may be an option in the menu that you highlight, then press enter or it can be assigned to an F key and States at the bottom of the screen, press F? for the default settings. I hope this helps. If you are still not able to reset, check with the manufacturer of PC for more information about the BIOS. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

I just ran the last update for my iPad and now it just continuously reboots to the black screen with the Apple Logo. I left plugged in all night and still no change. Hard restarting does not help, neither do not connect the unit to aMacBookPro. When I do this, iTunes complains that it can not connect because the iPad 'expires '. Now it is disconnected, but I can't turn it off. Even close the lid will not extinguish it. Any ideas?
Try the following. It seems yo may have to let the battery drain is completely:
- iOS: do not respond or does not light
-Also try DFU mode recovery mode post-test
How to put iPod touch / iPhone in DFU "Karthik doodles."
-If failed and that you cannot completely turn completely the iOS device, leave the battery to drain completely. After loading a hour repeat the foregoing.
-Try a different cable
-Try on another computer
S ' there is still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at an Apple store Genius Bar is in order.

I put my computer on 'Hibernate' when I went to bed. When I woke up, I started the computer learned to manufacturer (HP) computer screen introduction as usual, but windows doesn't not load afterwards, as he usually does: I just get a black screen. Lights supply and all the rest are on. Just nothing happens. Any ideas?
Can I use the firmware from HP (I guess that's what it is) to confirm that my memory and hard drive are very good. I tried Googling the problem, and some signs indicate a problem with the powercfg parameter. I can't get in cmd.exe to reset because I can't get into windows (although through HP firmware, I can enter in "Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe - cmd", which seems the same, but the orders that I see offered on websites do not seem to work - help?). Ditto with Safe Mode. I don't have Vista installation disc.
Any help is very appreciated.
