• BEEP and Siebel: limit the number of records displayed in a table

  Hi all
  I use BEEP with Siebel. For example, my XML has a set of 50 activities. These activities are of a different type and different date. Now, I want to show:
  
  5 activities the newer type A in a table.
  5 activities the most recent type B in another table.
  5 activities the most recent type C in another table.
  
  I tried using the position() method, but since I use the same set of activities 3 times it will not work. The reason is that after you sort the activities in descending order of creation date, I could end up having 5 recent activities of type A digit 4, 9, 17, 23 and 31. That's why I can't use <? If: position() < 6? >.
  
  The 'worst' solution would be to create a link of multiple values in Siebel for each type of activity and prior filtering of activity types in the object link, so I could use the solution above to limit the records per table. But it is really more practical in my opinion.
  
  All welcome ideas on how to do this inside the model.

• Question for David Powers on a subset of records display

  David,

  I used your fantastic book, PHP Solutions to great success in the development of my own projects.

  My problem is in the rest of your approach to display a subset of the records in my database. In your book (page 333, php solution 12-4), you use the tables, and in my design, I am using CSS. Everything works fine if I display the record set, but when I want to limit the number of records displayed on a page, I can't make it work. I suspect that your method using the table is "autonomous" insofar as the table was created on the various parameters of the subset.

  I don't have an example of a line of code, rather I would like to find a resource that could help me shed some light on this problem. I have tried things for hours today, but can't achieve my goal to limit the quantity x of subsets per page.

  Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

  The fact that the thumbnails are displayed in a table is not relevant. What controls the subset of records being retrieved from the base is the code in step 4 top of page 335.

  $startRow is the current page number (counted from 0) times SHOWMAX (the number of items to display on the page.

  Which translates the SQL on page 2 that said: ' SELECT * LIMIT 6, 6 IMAGES. ($startRow is 1 * 6).

• Unable to get the total number of records processed by the processor of trade rules

  I use a business rules processor to implement multiple business rules on one record and I am looking for a summary of the number of records increased and does not have a specific rule.

  
  To illustrate:
  Suppose there are 2 rules, invalid number in Column1 and valid number on Column2.
  10 records to process and 3 folders don't rule 1 (valid on column1) and 9 entered failure of rule 2 (valid number on Column2).

  In the browser of result of the processor Business, the number of past records and failed is displayed but is not part of the output of the processor itself. In the example above, there will be 1 pass and 9 fail records and given the values of said the total number of records can be derived which is 10.

  This is why the expected output will be:
  Success of failure
  Rule 1:7 (10-3) 3
  Rule 2: 1 (10-1) 9
  Note: The number of records that failed can be derived from the table of the rule ID but I don't know how to get the total number of records in order to calculate the number of records that a given rule.

  Your question is unclear.  Forms already did what you mentioned and appears as such in the image you downloaded.  If you don't see it in a particular form, open the form in the report generator and check at the level of the 'form', property 'The Console window' is not NULL and properly reflects the name of the appropriate window.  A NULL value prevents the message bar appears.

  Region (North), Product Category (ABC) - > 15 (sales number of records using count (sales_id))
  
  I want the opportunity to provide a detailed report that will be the drill down by 15 which shows 15 retail sales records.
  
  The detailed report will be called using the link of Action which has navigation BI of the measurement column (which has 15) to transmit the list of sales_id filter prompted based on the results of the analysis of the synthesis report.
  
  Any idea on what I need to do in the synthesis report for sale id instead of the number 15 list? I don't want to display the sales_id in the synthesis report.

  In your example, each of the 15 sales ID are in the same product category (ABC), Yes? So put the link of action on that column, instead of the measure (so ABC in this example would be the link). In the report in detail, you will need to include the column ID of sales in order to produce the 15 lines, but you can hide it so it does not appear on the report. (The reason for which you want to include sales ID in the destination report is because the column measure would break lines only assuming that there are no measures that are the same. If they are identical, they could roll to have sales in the report ID ensures that the lines remain distinct.)

  I get a stupid number or a '0' repeated instead of the incremental number.

  There is no line number in your SQL. Count() is an aggreate function that is used to count the number of records in a group - do not return a line number. In a SQL database, there is really no such thing as a line number that the rows are returned in an arbitrary order, except if specified. If you just want to assign an incremental number to a line, do so with a loop counter in your script, or try this method:

  It seems that the problem is that the indictment may overlap; You can count the same rank 0, 1, 2 or 3 times, depending on whether 0, 1, 2 or 3 of these 3 independent conditions are met.

  Try something like this:

  SELECT     COUNT (in_stop_cd)
        + COUNT (CASE WHEN in_process_cd  != 0        THEN 1 END)     -- this site doesn't like the other inequality operator
        + COUNT (in_opt_cd)        AS grand_total
  FROM    table1
  WHERE     dt          >= TO_DATE ('01-JUN-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
  AND     dt          <  TO_DATE ('02-JUN-2011', 'DD-MON-YYYY')
  AND     record_type       = 'A'
  ;
  

  You want to make charges without making 3 assists separated through the table. The problem is the 3 original requests had slightly different WHERE clauses.
  Put these conditions in the WHERE clause and make other conditions apply only to the individual counties, either with a column instead of *, or using a CASE statement that contains the condition that applies only to the column.

  Also, the date is not a column name good. Do not compare the DATEs to strings. If your column is really a DATE and you want to ignore the hours, the minutes and seconds, then the best way is to compare the column with 2 other DATES, as shown above. It's more coding, but it is more efficient and more reliable.

  I hope that answers your question.
  If not, post a small example data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) and also publish outcomes from these data.
  You don't have to display a large amount of data. You can probably give an excellent example of this problem with only 5 or 10 rows of sample data.
  Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
  Always tell what version of Oracle you are using.

  It is very very very simple.
  Select the State of the active or active history
  Include columns, the name of the account, active, quantity and once again the amount.
  In the fourth column of quantity, please apply the formula (partially fx) RANK ('-quantity "." ") Quantity per account. The account name')
  After the application of the formula, you select the filter lower at 11.
  You can hide the fourth column.

  The RANK function would rank each asset based on their quantity. We apply the sentence per account. "" Account name " while the ranking is done separately for each account name. We then apply the filter under 11, while only 10 records are displayed in the report.

  Once the number of records is limited, then you can apply the pivot accordingly and get the result.

  I have a Web in which I want to display to 8 records at the time, in the data block, I've specified 8 as value "number of records".
  However, the record includes too many fields to display on 1 vertical line, I wish so to divide the fields into two separate lines, there will always be 8 folders, but each in two lines.
  How do I do that?
  I use form 10g. The block is a block of database using QUERY CLAUSE, and the canvas is stacked.

  You will need set the 'Distance between Records' property for each item in the block for multiple registration. This will increase the space between the lines, so you can stack them in two rows. Unfortunately, you cannot set this property to the block - so you must set for each display element.
