• The numbers won't let me record time

  I transferred my data from old iMac (mid-2010/Mavericks) numbers to a new (end 2015/El Capitan). In addition to the fact that I can't use the wonderful version of iWork and I'm stuck with a version with an annoying interface, numbers will not work correctly.

  I have a table to track the interactions I have with my students online. In a column, I record the time spent in particular student tutoring. Although the numbers transferred the old data to the new program, it won't let me enter the duration in. I can't copy and paste. And since I get paid according to time spent, it is a crucial column.

  Suddenly something I wrote in iWork unresponsive. It was written in a Macbook Pro also on Maverick.

  No v5 is the author of Pages is directly compatible with Pages ' 09 v4.3. It must be exported as document Pages 09 format. This principle applies to numbers v3 and Keynote v6 documents regarding their iWork ' 09 counterparts.

  No document pages created by page v5.5.2 or later version (from Yosemite) is directly compatible with v5.0 by v5.2.2 on Mavericks Pages. The document must have its file Type changed to single in front of Package file format file format it will open on the Mavericks. This can be done on the relevant v5.5.2 + versions via the file menu: Advanced: change the file Type: {line, package} hierarchy of menus.

  If you try to open a document v5 + Pages in Maverick with v4.3 Pages ' 09, you will receive either an index.xml file is missing, dialog box, or you need a newer version of the Pages to open this file. The two dialogs are true. No v5 Pages document using the internal index.xml as did Pages ' 09. You need Pages v5 (as part of the second paragraph) to open a Pages v5 document. Mavericks will tell you that there are for new updates on the OS X App Store, but in reality, Mavericks is excluded of course Pages, Numbers and Keynote applications.

  If you are still on the Mountain Lion, then you deal in two scenarios:

  1. You purchased and downloaded Pages ' 09 and Numbers ' 09 the OS X App store before the fall of 2013.
  2. You have installed the iWork ' 09 DVD retail

  If point 1 and if you have a Time Machine backup that contains these applicatiions autonomous, then by all means, just to restore them. Otherwise, visit the OS X App Store purchases tab and see if there are entries for these older applications. If this isn't the case, then it is unlikely that it remains available in to redownload of the OS X App Store, Apple withdrew long products. You can try the installation/download to reinstall these applications to Mountain Lion, but he may scold you v5.6.1 and numbers 3.6.1 pages being incompatible.

  If the point 2, then you need to reinstall in iWork ' 09 DVD retail, then followed with updated Apple iWork 9.3 (gets you updated to v4.3 Pages, Numbers and Keynote 5.3 v2.3). • Pages and numbers - white police and photos of models

  After the update new OSX, on i' 08 work when I type something on Pages, numbers as it NEVER appears in any font color other than white or transparent, so I'm having a problem. I have highlighted and change it to any other color or black and it says it's black, but he never shows up. And it gets frustrating.   It seems that you have upgraded your iMac OS X El Capitan and your version of Pages and Numbers shows only white/transparent fonts when you type.

  If this happens in all new documents, I would say that the behavior of test in a new user on your Mac-How to test a question in another account on your Mac useraccount. This can give us more information about the cause of the behavior and how to fix it.

  In turn, since there is a newer version of the Pages and Numbers created for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later, you can look in these versions on the Mac App Store.

• Why the Pages and Numbers do not use the default printer?

  Recently, I added a second printer to my home network and selected as the default printer. But when I try to print, the correct printer is selected in the dialog box print only part of the time and apparently depends on which application to print from. I believe that Safari, Mail, Contacts and calendar properly use the default printer, then the Pages and Numbers and instead do not the old printer unless I have change the selection in the dialog box impression every time I print.

• Photosmart 3210 print extra page after the installation of the Mavericks.

  An additional page is printed after or before each document.  Page is strange for example 2345 X numbers.  or 2.

  Go into the Contacts application and ensure that it uses the same account synchronization like the iPhone and other devices you may be using.

  Also check the part of the accounts of the Contacts application preferences and make sure that it's only using one account.

• Numbers 4.0 - Bug with default date when entering the time alone?

  I've just updated to 4.0 numbers after upgrade to Mac OS Sierra and met with what seems to be a bug.

  Previously when I enter a time in the format hh: mm in a cell that has the format of Date and time, it would create the date date of the day, because none has been provided explicitly. It is the behavior expected according to this support article:

  If you do not enter a date and a time, Numbers adds a default value for you. For example, if you type '13:15 ', Numbers adds today's date by default.

  What happens now in numbers 4.0 for me when I get home just a moment, is that it gives me 01/01/2016 as the date, which is a huge pain, because I rely on the fact that the date is (or should be) today's date by default when you enter data in my spreadsheet and right now that means I have to manually change each date by hand to be released today.

  All confirm that this behavior occurs in numbers 4.0 (Build 3507)?

  Here is what I get here after typing 13:15 in numbers 4.0 under Sierra:

  

  I left the Format of data in automatic mode, but get the same result when the format Date and time.

  It might have something to do with your region settings in system preferences (I'm using the default values for the United States).

  Have you tried numbers, reboot and try in a document of closing costs?

  Go to icloud.com and see if your contacts are there.  If so, you can recover.

  I find that I can use the automatic numbering if I have elements that do not go on a single line and double line spacing. But if something runs several lines spaced single, I want a space before the order of the day, then that must be a new paragraph, is that correct?   Automatic paragraph/list numbering increments and applies the following number when you type a return (paragraph break).

  Two returns by typing in a line is interpreted as a signal to stop the numbering of paragraphs and list.

  ""If something runs several simple lines spaced, so I want a space before the order of the day, then that must be a new paragraph, is that correct?".

  You can insert an empty line without creating a new paragraph by typing a line break. Press SHIFT + return. Then press return to enter a paragraph break to create (and number) a new paragraph.

  You can also use the text Inspector (Format button, and then text) to set the Pages to add a space before or after (or before and after) each paragraph so numbered or not.

  I just changed phones (from htc to the iphone) and took my contacts with me. I have a huge list of numbers under the name of block because I get harassing calls daily. I went in my contacts and set the block to block calling name. The numbers always appear as a block, but they can call me, so it sounds. No idea why they can still pass?

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple.  Reading your post, it seems that you have several numbers under a contact called "Block", but one of the numbers listed in the contact are always able to call.  I definitely calls for some parts, that I'd rather not have from time to time, so I can understand you wanting to get this resolved.  I'd be happy to help you!

  Maybe it seems to me that the contact is not blocked on the iPhone you are currently using.  To do this, press on settings > phone > blocking & Identification.  Scroll down this page and click on 'Contact the block', then look for your contact 'Block' entry and tap it.
