Numbers of USB port on P20 - 832

Hallo,
Anyone know how the USB port number is arranged
(side high, low, high-back, back-down)?
Thank you.
Marcello

Hello Marcello

I also have Satellite P20 (a red) ;) but I did not find precise information on this subject. Maybe the service partner can give you an appropriate response. If you want you can try to communicate with them.

  • Satellite L20 PSL2ZE: Identified as 1.1 instead of 2.0 USB Ports

    Model: L20 - 264 (PSL2ZE)
    OS: Windows XP Home SP2

For some reason, 2 of the 3 USB ports are identified by the operating system as USB 1.1 devices (Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller) instead of USB 2.0 (Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller). Is this as expected?

User reported this behavior after installing a few webcam drivers (summary details, apparently a Logitech QuickCam Pro).

Also, I am unable to find a suitable chipset driver package, since for this model, the driver page offers only a package Intel while device ID numbers point to ATI IXP SB400 chipset.

    Any ideas?

The same appears in my device manager!
I have a Standard Enhanced PCI controller USB host and two inputs OpenHCD USB Host Controller Standard.

  • Driver files that run the parallel port and USB port

In the system information utility where to look to find the parallel port and the port driver USB, name of file that manages these?

Know the drivers specific, is only half the story.  Why you looking for these drivers?  You have problems with your parallel port or USB port?  This can be caused by problems with drivers or it could be a hardware problem (hard to diagnose a hardware problem without good parts to swap and test).  If you need to update the drivers, you must use device (not msinfo32) Manager - or maybe clicking on an executable file that loads the drivers automatically (depends on how it is sent by download).

Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need drivers (I assume that you want to the parallel port and USB ports), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  Or run the Setup program of driver provided by the vendor of the computer or the manufacturer of the device.  Be VERY careful get Vista compatible drivers for these devices are difficult to identify (they usually come with the numbers of model or something like that if they can have serial numbers) and using the wrong drivers could make the problem (whatever that is) worse.

If you update the drivers succerssfully and the problem persists, then it is probably a hardware problem.  In this case, contact the manufacturer of your computer for technical support (hopeully it is still under warranty) or bring it to a professional computer repairman (NOT Geek Squad or one of those big store centers because they don't really know what they're doing and charge a lot for this level of expertise) to have the components tested and possibly replaced.

    I hlpe that aid.

  • BlackBerry Classic USB Port disabled

    Hello

I have a classic BB, he was charging, and came up with an error message "one of your USB ports ended load and has been disabled".  I rebooted, but now have the questions below:

    1. the buttons on the right side (high volume / low etc.) no longer work.

2 one of the speakers at the button no longer works.

    3. I've lost some data of contact including numbers and photos.

    4. sometimes video will not play saying that the format is not supported, but I wanted the video previously.

    5. to make a call the phone sometimes puts mute / constantly resets the call.

Y at - there a reset option, I know there is an erasure of data, but the above seems to be more material related.

    At soon Ed

Agree with your conclusion at the end. Here are my thoughts...

A hardware reset on BlackBerry is performed by removing the battery. Not an option for devices with non-removable battery.

There are two ways to do a software reset the BB10. http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000002141&language=English

A reset to the factory on BB10 settings is carried out using link. http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000021918

A security wipe erases all data and user settings and make the data unrecoverable. It can be launched from the handset. http://support.BlackBerry.com/kb/articleDetail?articleNumber=000014058

I really hesitate to reconnect the device to a power source. I might try a reboot hot first and see if the behavior of the weird software fixes. Then I could try a security wipe. But if the unit is under warranty, my next step would be the point of sale customer service call.

Just curious, was the error or warning on USB is displayed on the device or the computer?

  • USB ports stopped working unexpectedly

Hi, I am currently on "Toshiba Satellite C655"run"Windows 7 Home Premium". It's a laptop of 2009 model (2 GB). Last night (24/02/14) my USB Ports stopped working, they have been and continue to read anything every time I have to plug my devices. I usually only connect a cooling block and a USB mouse to the computer. They worked perfectly until I disconnected the. When I reconnect them, they work momentarily, and then I hear the beep sounds when you eject a device. I tried to connect several flashdrives, a printer, and one I tried the following hotfixes:

Note: The order of numbering has nothing to do with the order, I tried to apply each patch unless specified elsewhere. This computer had Windows 7 Home Premium REINSTALLED at some point. Just for your information. This message was made when there are others with the same problem is due to the fact that no solution not specified by Microsoft Technical Support or the Microsoft community were effective.

    1) System Restore to the last known point, where they worked (and still). (Point restoration @ 15/02/24)

    2) Windows Update

    3) turn off the computer, disconnect the battery and the power supply and holding 'On' button for 10seconds.

(Note: whenever I turn on the computer now they work only for a moment, usually from 60 to 180 seconds.)

    (4) Start > research ' Device Manager '> "De Bus USB controllers" Expand and turn off and restart the computer. They are re - activate automatically but my problem persists.

    (5) download and run "Microsoft FixIt.WinUSB... ", on the 1st, I had a problem with devices not updated. But I actually watch updates by using Windows Update and ""searching for hardware changes "" on USB Bus controllers "." I then did a 'System Restore' and now Microsoft FixIt found no problem but the USB Ports don't always work.

    (6) will ' services.msc"and change the Startup Type of Manual to Automatic for Windows install and restart Windows."

    7) regedit

    8) sfc/scannow

I am really lost with this problem now. My laptop works and worked perfectly fine until this problem occurred. I have fixed minor problems with computers before, but this is a bad joke for me now. If someone could please help me with this problem I would appreciate it a lot. Thank you very much.

Thank you for your help, but I discovered something funny on my computer. My cooling package (product name: Laptop Cooling Pad NSB;) HYCF-6181-2 model number) is to disable my USB ports when I plug. If I leave it unplugged and restart my computer, my USB mouse is still working on a port. Also tried using my USB and other devices. The problem is my block of cooling that strangely disables my USB ports, whenever I plug. Thank you very much for your quick response, fortunately the answer might help me in the future. For now, I have solved my problem.

  • USB ports not working not not in Windows 10 after update laptop (Vostro 1500)

I updated an old laptop, Dell Vostro 1500 from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Everything is great, the touch pad works, it is much faster than it used to be, one thing is, none of the USB 4 ports work.

I went to the dell website, all I get is an alert indicating the device is not compatible with Windows 10 and that everything is up to date. I couldn't find the specific drivers on the website of intel and their program detects that too, everything is up-to-date

I have google and could not find anything other than sites like pilot scape, which I don't know

In Device Manager, there are 14 points to USB, there are 7 USB Universal Host Controller family with 2830-2836 A numbers

Besides, there are 7 USB Root Hub with an error symbol. When I check the properties I have "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19)"".

I tried to uninstall and looking for changes, that did not work. I also tried fix registry of CCleaner

What are my options, is it possible to get USB ports work on my laptop?
