Off mode "Eve", computer automatically connects instead of connection

Hello

Recently, I installed an SSD, but don't know if that has anything to do with my question.  I put the computer in standby mode, and whenever he wakes up, it connects as a particular user. I even if ensure that the user disconnects completely before putting it to sleep. But when you wake up, the screen automatically than desktop users as if they were never disconnected at first. Clues?

Thank you

The problem could be due to problems with power settings or invalid power options. Follow the below methods:

Method 1.

Troubleshooting of power.

The resolution of the power problems can automatically detect and fix incorrect power settings. See the following steps to run this utility for troubleshooting. I suggest you to run the troubleshooter to from the link below:

If the method above did not fix the problem, then try Method 2.

Method 2.

Change Power Options settings.

This works if you have the password on your user account.

  1. Go in Panel.
  2. Click on Power Options.
  3. In the left pane, select the require a password on Wake up.
  4. Check the option, require a password.
  5. Save the changes.

If the method above did not fix the problem, then try Method 3.

Method 3.

Change the settings for the screen saver.

  1. Right click anywhere on the desktop.
  2. Choose the option Personalize.
  3. Choose screen saver.
  4. Check the option, on the resume, the logon screen.

  • No Internet connection when the laptop is off mode "Eve".

When I close the lid on my laptop (which puts the computer into sleep mode) or he falls asleep with the lid open, there is no internet connection when I wake the computer.  I have to either run the Troubleshooter or perform a reboot to get connectivity.  This problem just started and I got the laptop almost 2 years. Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

  • Unwanted automatic reactivation of the Mode standby mode when it is connected to the Internet

I have a relatively new home office Pavilion model p6140F, product number NP192AA, version number software 93NAv6PrA2.  Factory installed operating system is Windows Vista Edition Home Premium, 64-bit, Service Pack 2.  I am connected to the internet via a cable modem.  I made energy-saving settings for automatic sleep mode sleep.  Quite often the computer comes out of fashion "sleep" on its own.  What is strange to me, is that when this happens and I click the Start button at bottom left of the screen or any buttons on the Quick Launch bar, nothing happens on the first click.  Only on the second click the computer is what I normally wait until it gets when clicking on the Start button or the quick launch of the first time button.  I tried an experiment by disconnecting the internet cable from the computer modem and the computer behaves as I expect.  He remains in the mode "Eve" from one day to the next day when I unplugged the internet overnight.  It looks like something 'out there' on the internet is somehow take control of the computer, do not let it go in the mode 'sleep' and play with use and function of the 'Start' buttons and the quick launch area.  At the very least, it's embarrassing, if not malicious.  Is occurring with other users?  Wouldn't be some 'normal' functioning of monitoring by HP, Microsoft, providers of security software that I have permission, or is this behavior that should not be expected.  Thanks for any direction on the techniques of 'analysis' on mine could give clues at the origin of this strange behavior.

    Bad Board.  Marking as resolved.

    Dear Sir.

My lap top is under the VISTA system. Now the problem is that all programs can not be started or no response after the computer was not awake mode "Eve". I have to restart the computer to recover the computer to normal state.

Please please let me have your advice to return to my email address: * email address is removed from the privacy *.

    Thank you very much!

    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

    You can follow these steps:

Step 1: perform a clean boot to verify if an application or service is causing the problem.

See this article for more information on the clean boot:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
     http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Steps to perform a clean boot:
    a. click the ORB start on your desktop
    b. type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    c. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    d. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    e. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box and then click Disable all.
    f. click OK.
    g. When prompted, click on restart.

NOTE: Please check that you start the computer in normal mode after a repair. Follow step 7 article.

Step 2: Configure the power settings for keyboard, mouse, and other devices.

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel, hardware and sound, and then click keyboard.
    b. click on the Hardware tab, and then click the properties button.
    c. click Change settings.
    d. click the power management tab and verify that the allow this device to wake the computer is selected.
    e. If "Allow this device to wake the computer" was not selected, select it and click OK.
Follow the same steps for the mouse as well.

If the problem persists, disconnect all non-essential devices (printers, scanners, USB drives). Restart the computer with only the original mouse, monitor, and
connected keyboard. If this solves the problem of sleep/wake, one of the devices was causing the problem. Replace a device at a time and test to see if the
problem occurs again. Continue adding devices and testing until you find the device that causes the problem.

Refer to this article for additional troubleshooting steps.

  • Computer automatically "wake up" and unable to wake up mode standby when left idle

original title: screen saver does not work, the computer automatically "wake up". Computer regularly become inactive and cannot be stopped! Forced to pull the plug.

We have a Vostro 200 with windows vista. The computer still works very well except for two major problems. The first: the screen saver does not work. The screen goes black minute before the screen saver, but when it needs to switch to screen saver mode, the fan in the computer is a thud and the screen turns back on. The second: If the computer is not alone for extended periods of time (hours to end upward in a weird semi-off state). The monitor becomes completely black (the power light goes from green to orange) and the power of the Tower light flashes continuously. If we move the mouse or the keyboard, nothing happens. We are not able to easily to "wake up" the computer. If we hold the power button down for 10 seconds, the round ends. If restart us the breath fan aggressively, but the screen will not display anything. The only way to get the computer working again is to turn off the switch that powers the computer for ~ 1 min and then put it back in again once. After a time abnormally long start-up, the computer goes to the exact same State it was when he went to the black start (the documents are always opened ect.). Does anyone have a similar experience? I am baffled and could use some help. Thank you!

    Hello

I would guess that you have a hardware driver that is not fully compatible with the sleep mode function. I would check with the manufacturer and system of the various devices for driver updates (do not use Windows Update to do this). If this fails to solve the problem, you can turn off "sleep" (Control Panel/Power Options, check the settings of the engine at idle) or reduce the State of "s" that the system tries to get into the BIOS system (if available).

  • Windows 7 to automatically connect to the network after the standby or Hibernate mode

This just started two days ago after an automatic update Windows 7.  Whenever I wake up my laptop, I have to manually connect to the wireless network.  He used to connect on its own.  Not changed anything with the network or router.  I have the connection to connect automatically, but it doesn't.  He, however, automatically connect when I start the computer.  I tried all the tricks of problems of the past... I see the network and it will connect and works fine after that I have to manually connect.  Just can't understand why, all of a sudden, he stops connection.  Again, this started 2/10 after a Windows automatic update... it seems that all updates have been security patches and I hesitate to uninstall them because I don't really know what one of them is.

Yes! I think that I fixed it. I tried all this without result. Then it hit me. Turn off the "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is fine and good, but what the USB port? They can do this also. "' Go to the Device Manager and do a right click, Yes, the network adapter and uncheck this box, but also do it for the" USB Root Hub "under"controllers of Bus USB.

computer automatically starts in safe mode without prompting, a problem with your computer can prevent Windows to start normally

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

  • start the computer in safe mode and appearing automatically jump to the top of websites

Original title: appearing automatically jump to the top of websites and to hear the mouse click as sounds radomly

    Microsoft community.

I have essentially two problems in my computer.
    (1) since almost a month my computer automatically goes into safe mode when I pass it on or restart. So, I have to change the user account to come to normal mode.
    (2) in addition to this since 5 days I noticed pop-up program (exactly which is the site web news.net ) in the right corner of my computer screen and it comes with random noise (similar to a mouse-click) that I mentioned earlier.

I guess this program automatically installed when I tried to download another program almost a week back.

I tried to remove the program using Control Panel, but it is not in the Panel.
Then I ran a Kaspersky internet security scan (license and currently updated version) that was installed in my computer and then I ran Microsoft security scanner and none of them could picked up a problem.
So I ran computer more secure mood.

When I tried to clean the boot. I noticed only with safe mode even if the clean boot dialog box appeared options such as ok or cancel orders are not visible or they are absent (or damaged). Here, because I couldn't do the clean boot function properly.
And I always get that previously mentioned his pop-up at random.
So I am worrying because this could be the virus and it can harm my computer or your identity. I really appreciate if you can help me in this regard.
    Thank you
    Kind regards.
