OfficeJet 8500 more A910G Printerheads don't align

This A910G was a replacement for a HP 6150 wireless Christmas.  Setup was easy.  Unfortunately, after less than 10 days of very light use, the print heads do not line up, I can't print anything readable and the alignment tool on Board will not fix the problem.  I now own a piece of a $350 hardware and $200 in news for ink cartridges and Caan can't print a thing.

I also want to add that the possible causes of failures of alignment are the cartridges of weak or empty, no HP or reloaded or incorrectly installed ink supply. I have also included another link to a more detailed with some additional options to try the first document should not solved the problem. If you continue to have problems, you can contact HP at 1-800-474-6836 and they can determine whether it is necessary to replace the print head or not.

Problems with the wireless device Pro Officejet 8500 lock up after 4 hours of inactivity. All the functions work well under normal circumstances - prints, scans, faxes and copies. It is currently configured to run wireless.  Once locked, the lights and the touch screen remain but the unit is completely frozen and controls the printer or touch the printer touchscreen or buttons he will wake up. Even the switch does not shut off the unit. The only solution is to unplug the printer and turn it back on. My first cat 1 hour of HP support has been a disaster and almost laughable. I'm afraid that something is wrong with the software unit powersave, but haven't seen enough comments think it's widespread.

All others who encounter this problem?

At this point, if you are satisfied with the LAN cable to connect your printer to the network, then you should delete the queue of your folder of the printer and then re-run Setup from the CD.  The reason why you need to do is that the passage of wireless LAN probably caused the router without wire-to assign the Officejet a new IP address, and unfortunately, the SW printer was not able to follow the change.

If you are unhappy not to be able to run the printer wireless, we can try some other experiences.  In the WRT54G configuration, change the renewal period of group key from the default setting to higher value it accepts.

Also, what version of the WRT54G do you run?  Have you updated FW from the router to the latest version?  I've actually updated the WRT54G in our lab to run the firmware of tomato which allows me to schedule the router restart at 03:00.  The defects of this operation has solved many problems related to a firmware of the router.  An alternative is to put the WRT54G Router on a light timer that turns off the router for a short period of time once a day.

Finally, it is likely the printer radio has a failure.  You should consider sharing the printer.

  • OfficeJet 8500 more scanner not found, the printer works fine. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

I had to remove the drivers and the software once.  I have re-installed, but now the printer works fine and when I try to run a scan of the computer or the printer they don't know each other and I can't scan.

It fixed...  I had asked a computer specialist to look at and he cheated by creating IP port and tell the PC to print via the port.  Although the sweep of the network was suspended on that port.  Installed the printer via a USB cable and then removed from the printer and reomved first which stood on the IP port.  Once it is I installed the printer again and scan network found the printer immediately and went big.

  • OfficeJet 8500 more: scan to PC (Mac) lost the function of OSX 10.11, how to fix?

The release of the new OS x 10.11 El Capitan deleted the option scan to the computer directly from the printer.

resetting the printing system and reinstall the printer is no longer work and has never been a long-term solution, but rather a bimonthly periodical procedure for maintaining function.

the buit in the printer driver is not enough and there must be an adequate solution in order to maintian this useful printer.

Install the HP Easy Scan app below:

    https://iTunes.Apple.com/us/app/HP-easy-scan/id967004861?MT=12

Then go to System Preferences > printers & Scanners and double click on the printer, open the parameter tab, then open the HP utility.

  • HP Officejet 8500 plus and Coreldraw do not work together

I used Coreldraw to 20 years and HP all in one printers for the past 10 years. the last printer is a HP Officejet 8500 more.  The printer refuses to print a page as described and the Preview on the screen is correct - when it prints, only the top left quarter of the page comes out full blown on A4 paper. If I want to print properly, I have to manually change the preview to see the reduction of 50%, and then to print in the upper left corner (all on the landscape). The preview shows my original A4 in a neighborhood of top pages on the left. When she prints - out full blown on the A4, which is exactly the right size. I can't work like this, I can't print page numbers at all. He always used to work on the jets of previous bureau (L7780). There is a missing link between HP and coreldraw... Please give me some advice ASAP...

    System: HP Z600/Windows 7 64-bit/Coreldraw X 3.

Actually received a call from HP. The problem is with the printer driver version 22. They said that their engineering team changes only the drivers for the questions that appear to have a global problem and nobody does CorelDraw/HP printing on the problem of the project. If you encounter this problem, I suggest that you contact HP and HP Service ticket 8053804517 reference. It will be a problem with printer HP ALL using the 22 driver.

As mentioned above, their work around is to install another printer driver. They recommended to call your printer a 6980 and installing this driver.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 more Coexistence of USB and WiFi connection

My printer was working with a direct link to my computer. Since I wanted to print from other devices using Wifi. I activated the WiFi and computer printing stopped.

    These two connections can coexit?

How can I fix this now?

Hi there dbspecial, I hope you are well

I saw your post about wanting to use a wireless and USB at the same time with your Officejet 8500 connection has more. Yes, you can have these two connections at the same time, you will just need to have both installed on your computer and select the correct driver when you print. However, you are not able to have an ethernet connection at the same time and wireless.

If you don't have the wireless configuration or the installed USB Installer, run the installation or the HP print and Scan Doctor if you happen to be running Windows.

  • I have an Officejet 8500 has more, but he can't find my Linksys router

I just bought an Officejet 8500 a more printer,.

It does not detect my router Linksys (WPA), all the other networks in this area are visible, except our Linksys router, with WPA security.

Tried to set up with the software, plug the USB printer and tried to connect the linksys router, it say: you are out of reach of your wifi access point (something like that)

    Help?

    Here are some tips:

    1. ensure that 802.11 g is present.  Other modes (such as 802.11n) wireless are OK, but g must be present.

2 broadcasting your SSID and don't use MAC filtering.

    3. make sure that your router has the latest firmware.

In short: If you look carefully at the screen of the printer, you can see the 'RETURN' key, although it was not lit. Press 4 times. This should open menu supported...

If you have performed all troubleshooting, including the cleaning of the surface of glass scanner, then I would say you are right in your assessment of the defect.  How long have you had the replacement product?

However, I have one last thing, I would like for you to try.  I have the steps for to do you a factory reset on the printer.  I'll send them to you via private message.  Please check your Inbox for messages in the forum.  Before you perform these steps, please read Bob_Headrick wire on the printer reset, found here.

If the product is still under warranty, then I suggest call HP for Technical Support on this device.  If you are in the USA / Canada, then the number to dial is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are not in this area, please click here to access the global contact list for HP Technical Support.

  • How change the font size on a hp officejet 8500 has more

I have a hp officejet 8500 has more.  How can I change the size of the font to print full page.  The numbers of police is very low.

    Thank you for your help.

    Kathy {personal info deleted}

    Hey Kathy,.

I see that you have a problem with the text in small font on printed documents.  You say that this only happens when the navigation and printing from the internet.  What browser do you use?  (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)

Have you tried using another browser?  Normally this problem is the result of a problem of compatibility between the printer driver and the browser program.

So, you can try using a different printer driver, such as the 990 c driver.  The other pilot should be able to go beyond the question of compatibility and printing back to normal when on the internet.  For more information on how to exchange for a different driver click here.

    Hope this helps,

    Jason

  • HP OfficeJet 8500 has more 910 g give up connection every now and then

I explored the forums for 8500 more connectivity issues and did the following, but the problem persists:

I am using the Wi - Fi connection (force 4), web update services and software packages, can use eprint, but printer loses connection (even with eprint servers). I have it set to fax so phone line is connected and noticed that when a call arrives (or goes), it restores the network connection. It seems that he loses the connection when it starts in mode 'sleep'. Is there a way to disable, and then do a test?

I noticed that first print wirelessly from a laptop computer crashes and comes back with an error (sometimes work after a long time), but the second try and then work (it seems that the first test is trying to put the printer back to the mode 'sleep'!)

I have the static IP assigned (in both the printer and the router) and static DNS primary.

I have IP v4 ONLY on the printer.

What can be done? Help, please. The printer is only a few days old!

I finally realized that you can go to the 'Préférences' menu on the touch screen and disable the "power saving Mode" - this apperently solved the "problem of loss of connection" (with static IP/DNS and IP v4 only)- but the screen was continually WE (and quite brilliant - more than a lamp at night!). I also found that there is an option under "Tools" screen saver But the screensaver works just the video "promo" continuously without interruption and with the same brightness on the screen. Is it possible to say 'black' after 10 minutes?

Perhaps HP should provide a screen saver that turns off the display after a period of inactivity.

APPARENTLY, THE LOSS OF CONNECTION BUG IS DUE TO "ENTERGY SAVE MODE" WHERE THE WIRELESS LAN CANNOT DETECT TRAFFIC TO WAKE UP THE PRINTER. THIS SHOULD ALSO BE FIXED IN THE NEXT FIRMWARE.

To SUMMARIZE: In order to avoid the 'loss of connection"(for wireless) perform the following steps:

1 assign a static primary DNS and static IP address (through EWS doing via a browser is easier - see below on access EWS).

    2. optional but recommended: connect the printer wireless MAC address to the same static IP address in the configuration of the router (router consult manual or vendor on how to do this).

    3. via the integrated Web server accessed through a browser of computer - under 'Network' settings, select 'IP v4 ONLY' (EWS is accessed through a browser on the same wireless LAN by typing http://192.168.1.xxx - where xxx is the IP address assigned statically - you can find it via touching the wireless icon on the screen in the printer)

    4. go in the 'preferences' and disable the "power saving Mode" (in the touch screen of the printer interface)

    5. optional but highly recommended: turn on the "screen saver" in the "Tools" menu (in the touch screen of the printer interface)

6 see if it the problem slves (mine is running fine since then)

These steps are for HP Office Jet 8500 has more 910 g printer. I hope it helps someone here!

  • OfficeJet 8500 A910: Officejet 8500 A910 think all black cartridges are empty

OfficeJet 8500 A910 keeps telling me to replace the black cartridge to continue printing.

First, I removed the cartridge (which was 3/4 full), he looked at it and put it in.  I was able to print 10 pages until it gave me the same message.  I did once again and was able to print 2 pages.  Finally, I put in a new cartridge.  The printer told me it was happy.  I printed 10 pages until the replacement cartridge message came again.  I removed the new cartridge and put it again.  Print more than 10 pages.  Now it does not PRINT because the printer think to replace the full cartridge.  I tried to close, replacement print head cleaning all ports.  cleaning the contacts of the cartridge and print head, changing the yellow cartridge.  NOTHING IS THERE FACT.

It seems that the sensor is messed up, but where is this sensor?  O for the day where I was allowed originally instead of the treatment of the HP me as I have the brain of a worm.  If I could just disable all the sensors on this printer, it works fine, but HP wants to control everything, so nothing works.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Anyone find one solution other than a new printer?

    Hi @CWickstrom,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to print because of the warning of low ink on your printer HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem.

To help you better, I may need more information.

What is the exact error message that you receive?

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  • HP Officejet 8500 a e-all-in-one: Officejet 8500 A progressively less black ink prints

    Greetings,

I have an Officejet 8500 a e-all-in-one, which was a little finiky when it print black ink. It prints well in the morning and for most of the day, but sometimes late in the afternoon, it will print progressively less black ink until it stops completely. When he is left alone during the night, it will start printing without any problems again in the morning. The amount that we will print does not seem to have an effect. It will do the days where we printed almost anything just as often we are printing constantly throughout the day.

There is a laptop connected via the USB port and two other people who connect via radio. A computer has 10 64 - bit Windows, Windows 64 - bit to 8.1, the last is a macbook. Printing problems are are produced through two connections.

There is no problems with the ink cartridges, they are brand new and in Full ink levels report.

The printer has aligned the printheads several times with success.

I ran to the printhead cleaning several times and it had no effect.

I took the print heads and cleaned the contacts on the back and in the machine.

There has been no error on machines or computers.

At this point I'm not sure if it's a matter of ink clogged or if it is somehow overheating.
