Printer was fine for 9 months.  That is, Apple devices could print using AirPrint.  Computers laptops MacBook Pro and Windows 8 were also very good.  But now printer is not visible by any device when trying to print / set up a printer.  Finally managed to do work with a USB cable, but it's not practical for all members of the family.  Have you tried:

    Full power reset

    Reset wifi

    Updated drivers

Recycled all devices that are used to be able to see the printer.

To confirm, the printer says that it is connected to the wifi & AirPrint and wakes up when the control panel is touched.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100 - AirPrint - wireless

My HP Officejet Pro 8100 worked very well with AirPrint, but then I changed my wireless router and I forgot how the printer was set up originally.

I use the 8100 with my apple iPhone 4s, it is not connected to any computer and I don't know that it was never connected to any computer when I installed it initially.

Question is: how put it all again from scratch? There is no "set up" screen on the printer, so how do we?

I 'know' the printer must 'connect' to my wireless router, but how to do without a connected computer?

My router is a Homehub4 of BT, and it works very well with my iPhone and ipad.

Thanks in advance for the advice - I looked for info, but everything seems to indicate that needed a computer connected physically but I am sure that this was not originally the case - just turn on and AirPlay has worked!

Maybe I need to uninstall "somehow" airplay on my iPhone?

    Help!

No! I said that originally - no PC.

BUT, BE, under the impetus for me to try again and this time, keeping my finger on the blue WiFi button and the power button at the SAME TIME and now it during (what seemed like an age) the connection has been made! Finally, I can print!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g wireless connection problem

I have a printer wireless OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g.  My PC is Windows 7 (64-bit).  Recently, the printer wasn't working reliably and we took to reboot our router frequently at the same time.  Router problems seem to be solved because my PC at home and the work laptop are well connected and running.  However, the printer would not work last night when I really needed.  The documents would appear in the queue, but never reach the printer.  Today, I uninstalled all the software of HP using the CD of origin and reinstalled all the latest software and drivers from hp.com.  Of course, I rebooted the printer several times during this process.  Using the Network Wizard wireless via the screen of the printer, I am able to locate my SSID and enter the WPA key.  The printer confirms that it is connected to the network.

If my computer and printer are both connected to the same network why can't the HP software locate the printer?  Whenever I try to run the installation/Setup program it tells me that there is no HP printer on the network.  As I said, this printer has worked on this wireless network in the past.  I also downloaded and run the scan HP and difficulty of the program to see if she could solve the problem without success.

    Any other suggestions?

Well, what I'm going to make you, it's just a basic uninstall and reinstall the printer. I'll describe the steps and you are right, we can use the USB > wireless Assistant. You can access that by running the software after the installation of the USB. Here are my steps...

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it. Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

The START menu type "%temp%" and press on ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl+A and press on REMOVE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

Follow this link to download full feature software and drivers of the printer:

    Hi RatChat007,

Please make sure that you only use the link in my previous post and not any other source, it is a newer version of the software that should solve the problem.

If you saved the file on the HP site earlier or used the CD, don't forget to download the file from the site, which should solve the problem

    Thank you for continuing advice.

I was able to access the configuration of the router device online.

As one of the submenus to the local network, called "Wireless Interface", I met it.  It sounds like I should disable HomePNA.

What the output drop-down jack August?  The other option is RJ-11.

Then what should I do?  Try to connect to my other MacBook?  Or should I unplug and "reboot" first the router?

    Thank you!  Bruce

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 loses wireless connectivity

After sitting idle for a period ranging from a few minutes to a few hours, my 8600 OfficeJet loses connectivity with my DI-524 router. When this happens, the 8600 shows an IP from 192.168.0.128 (only the IP I never saw him show). I can not print from my computer Windows 7, check the ink levels or ping the 8600.

I can restart the 8600 and all will be well (at the same IP address) until the problem recurs.

I would try to set a permanent IP address to the printer.  The router know not how to deal with the printer might not go to sleep and could end the connection.  In my view, affecting an address permanent IP will correct this.  You can choose an IP address outside DHCP-range routers. You can check the routers web page to see what this beach is to guess just using a maximum of low IP (maybe try 192.168.0.254 or 192.168.0.5).

PS. It seems that the router DI-524 is an older router.  Have you updated the firmware on it lately?

  • OfficeJet Pro L7650: Disables the settlement L7650 screen saver in win 10

When I install the drivers for Office Jet Pro L7650 screen saver stops working.  I tried to change the settings on the PC nothing works.  When I remove the PC screen saver L7650 stand works correctly.  Reinstall the printer turns off the screen saver.  This happens on two PCs, I have upgraded to Windows Pro 64-bit 10.  The printer is connected to the network cable and the PCs are members of a domain.  Other HP printer drivers have no effect on the idle screen.  I use the "OJ_AIO_L7X00_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5" Installer for the printer.

It turns out that the printer is only a problem caused by another device connected to the PC that is visible.  The culprit was a KVM switch.  Once the KVM has been disconnected from the PC would sleep with the installed printer.  Has taken a lot of time to identify the problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: disable auto-answer

Whenever someone calls me (she is not a fax, but a regular phone call) talk to me, I get a message on my printer there is a ' incoming call auto answer on ", then the name and number of the person calling.  I am unable to answer the phone manually.  This just started today.  I have to disable the automatic response to meet again my phone?  If so, how can I disable it?

Hi @maaryann1008and welcome to the Forums of HP!

You have set up the printer to receive faxes? Do you want the auto-answer on without it interrupting your calls, or do you just want it out?

You can make the necessary changes to your fax configuration by using the menus on the front panel of the printer. Please press the arrow on the right side of the touchscreen when on the home screen, and then select Setup. In the configuration menu, choose the fax configuration, ad go to auto answer to turn it off, or go to rings before answer to change the number of rings the printer rings before fax answers.

Please let me know if these changes on the Panel before solving the problem, or if you need assistance. Thank you.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8000 A809 wireless printer

Recently I had to install a new router that has a new password, and now I have a wireless connection between the printer and my Macs (OS 10.7). I had read that I need to run the installation using the original HP cd, but I couldn't get to re-establish the wireless connection. Anyone has an idea on how to restore the connection with the printer?

    Hi Pastel_paper,

Thanks for your post, I will do my best to help.

I understand that you have replaced your router and should now connect to the new network.

I reset the network settings and run the Wireless Setup again.

Here is a link to a document on the reset network settings

Connect your printer with a USB cable for Mac and turn on.

On Mac, go to applications/finder/Hewlett Packard / utilities/HP setup assistant device.

Open the installation wizard and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Once wireless has been established, you can disconnect the USB.

  • can I use my non wireless hp 8500 Officejet Pro to work wireless?

Already, I have a wireless internet facility and uses a motorola 3347 modem/router.  I use a Mac with 10.5 and a PC with windows 7, especially interested in printing from the PC wireless (in the room of my son).  Can I get a usb wireless dongle and attach it to the printer.  Or better yet, can I install my printer ethernet cable modem?  I think his probabl; is not so simple, but I was wondering if there is an option that is less expensive than buying a new all-in-one wireless.  Thank you

In fact, the best way to connect is by Ethernet to your router!  Just plug with Ethernet (and disconnect the USB).

Download the latest version of the software for your printer (for your Mac and PC) from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.  Choose "Network" as installation type when asked.
