  I have exactly the same problem on my Equium A100-338 loaded with Vista.

  I have satellite a300 PSAg4a - 02500 m laptop. All of a sudden the display has stopped working on the laptop. I tried to plug in an external display, but it does not work also.

  I can't even see the bios screen not. Laptops normally, I hear no beeps during startup, just the fact that there is no display.

  This laptop has a M86 ATI graphics card 512 MB. Its out of warranty.

  I'm on OS 10.6.2 on an iMac Intel Core Duo.  I got a J6480 Officejet for about a year.  The scanner worked fine when I bought it first, but now it has stopped working.  If I use the HP software, I get a message "an unknown error has occurred."  If I try to scan using the buttons on the printer, I get an error of "No scan option available" on the screen.  I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the software and it did not work (although before the reinstall, the error messages comes to say, ' no scanner available, "so I guess it's an improvement?).

  To reset the printer in some cases, this might work.  With the printer, unplug the power supply from the wall and disconnect the power to the printer.  Wait 60 seconds and then reconnect power.  Reset the printer and must go through the starting sequences.  See if this reset helps.
