OfficeJet Pro 8600: new wifi protocols

I have an OfficeJet 2012 8600 on a WI - FI network.  Until recently, we were running on a 802.11n 2.4 MHz network. Recently we got two new computers (will my laptop audio/video cards and their cracking laptop screen.)  New computers have network cards that can run the 802. 11A / c Protocol of 5 MHz.  We also moved and our ISP gave a router that can operate in this mode, makes our much faster Internet. The printer works fine as a printer Wireless ' ess but does not scan wireless.  I ran ScanDoctor and the program will not identify the network.  Is there something else.  I don't want to go back to factory settings, because I fear that I will lose the connection printnig.  Other ideas.  The last OfficeJet provide this Protocol?

Put this gateway to Comcast in full bridge mode. Now plug your own router that you have full control over.

  • cant WiFi connection HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to internet

I can't get WiFi HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer connect to internet... at least I think that's the problem. I followed all the instructions on the HP print and Scan doctor as well as solve problems of failure to install HP. My router is working fine for everything else and I entered the router the static address for the printer.  It seems that my printer thinks it's connected to my WiFi (Ihave WPS it several times), but when I type there nothing appears in my IE IP address. My router does not see the printer either. I have the latest driver installed on my computer. I suspect that this may be a router problem: new Asus Double 450 Mbps N Router router (dual - band, but it appears my router uses the 2.4 Hz band to connect with WPS). Windows 7 64.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello NRHII,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to connect the Officejet 8600 via a wireless connection. I will do my best to help you! I would recommend power cycling the router, the printer and the computer:

    (1) turn off your printer
    (2) unplug the power cord at the back of the router
    (3) restart your computer
    (4) wait less than 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the router
    (5) turn the printer, wait for the computer to turn on

The wireless light blinking on your printer? If so, please reconnect the wireless on your printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard: (this information is declared here.)

    1. On the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow key ( ) to display the second navigation screen.
    2. Tap the Installer icon ( ).
    3. Tap network , tap the wireless configuration wizard , and then press continue . The printer looking for available networks.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: is the Officejet Pro 8600 wireless compatible with the new standard AC dual routers.

ISP is the Modem upgrade to DOCSIS 3.0 model. My current router, Linksis E 3200 is not fully compatible with the new modem, I have to upgrade to a model of AC Smart WiFi dual band.

The wireless in this 8600 printer is compatible with the standard AC. If this is not the case, can it be upgraded via download to make the wireless compatible. Top of my head I have think.

The wireless connection in the Officejet Pro 8600 is compatible with 802.11n connection on the 2.4 Ghz band.  Check your new router (or candidates for a new router), most routers AC will be also in charge of N connections.

  • How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?

How can I set up my new Officejet Pro 8600 more printing on paper photo 4 x 6?  I'm running on Windows 7 64 bit.

It's strange.  Looks like you have a second paper tray and put it to the default tray.  The second paper tray only supports the types of paper that show on your list.  It's strange because unless you have purchased a second tray paper, plus model has one.  Does only the high-end model.  Other than that, only certain types of media can be duplex, so if you have double-sided printing, it can limit the selection.  I'll watch what else could be the cause and get back to you.

  • My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not analyze superior at 300 dpi of the location of the single document.

    Hello

You can pass the value of hp scan: launch of the demand application, select the shortcut to scan (PDF or JPG to the left) and change the resolution you want and save.

This will send down the printer settings. So the next time you scan, the printer uses these settings.

    Good impression.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: can not get the printer to function after installing new wireless router

I recently changed routers from D-Link to a Netgear R6400.  I could get my desk, the laptop and the i - Pad to connect to the new network, but not my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more.  When I try to change the IP address, which is what I think I do, the screen indicates "this feature has been locked by your system administrator or the one who put up the system."  I'm the only one using this printer and I put in place originally, but I do not remember 'locking' anything.  Will you please tell me how to solve this problem, so I can use the printer again.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

A suggestion that we recommend is to uninstall and reinstall the software FULL of features.

Alternatively, you can try the doctor print and Scan?

  • My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a does not allow a webscan

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a does not allow a webscan on my laptop Dell Win7, which indicates on its Web page ¨that that the corresponding software is not installed".  I already tried in vain to install all software from the included cd, but did not find the corresponding software.  I was surprised to see that this cd does not start by itself, the single executable that I found was a setupxxx.exe and that did not include the scanning options.

Anyone has a suggestion to solve this?

    Hello tutoke

The Webscan must be selected in the tab of the administrator of the Embeded Web Server (EWS). See the screenshot below.

    1. Click settings
    2. Click the administrator settings
    3. Check Webscan
    4. Press on apply downstairs.

    Try to scan the image.

New Premium Officejet Pro 8600 with envelopes in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 11 in tray 2 copies only to Tray 1.  When I try to select the tray 2 in copy options, only Tray 1 appears as a choice.  How to choose tray 2 when it is not listed and do the copy default tray?

I remember coming across this question:

    1. turn off the printer and remove the lower whole and not just the tray 2.

    2. turn on, turn off,

3 replace the tray 2 and the power up.

To enable tray 2 as default copy ferry. Go to the printer->-> select copy LCD display-> select settings-> a selected tray 2 as default.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 n911g: ink level 8600 rest from scratch with new 950XL

My black cartridge in my 8600 printer ran out of ink. I had already replaced all the colors of three cartridges with a 951XL defined, a month or two ago, and the process went smoothly as planned. Today after replacing the black cartridge, adjustment noise seemed short, and the façade is estimated ink level zero rest.

    I tried the following diagnosis:

    -Reinsert the black print cartridge

    -Reinsert all four cartridges

    -market power

    -a second new HP 950XL

    -test page

    -the print head alignment

    -clean the printhead

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Wifi question

My company delivered my new of Officejet Pro 8600 with locked out wireless capability... I guess that they do not want printing wireless at the office, but I use this printer home and print to it my personal devices wireless... any advice on how to re-engage the wireless features?

Your company would mind if the printer has been completely reset?  I'm guessing that they disables wireless and also put a password on the printer, so you cannot turn it back on.  I would call your business or if you know that you can't find in trouble do complete a reset on the printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: I got a new modem and the router. I uninstalled the HP software, but wizzard wireless configuration is locked.

I uninstalled the software so I could start over.  Configuration Wizzard is locked and I can not understand how to get unlock.

    Hi @bobbalou,

Thank you for visiting the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you replaced your modem and router, but could not connect your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to the new network, because the wireless configuration wizard is locked. I would like to help with that.

Try to restore the default network before attempting to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

    1. on the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.

    2. press on the installation program icon.

    3. tap network, then press the default network.

If you are able to restore the default settings of the network is should allow you to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

If you're locked up because he had a password set in place on the printer, you will need the password to access the server (EWS) of embedded printer online web to change the settings of the printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.
  • Using configured WiFi Officejet Pro 8600 in a location no-wifi via USB

My Officejet Pro 8600 is used at home via WiFi.

I want to take the printer to a location which does not have WiFi and print via the USB port.

The installation disc (v28.8) has mutually exclusive options when you run Setup.exe,

OK I see that now when printing there is selections for 'HP Officejet Pro 8600' and

"HP Officejet Pro 8600 (network)".  I have not seen in a first time.  Problem solved.

  • Office Jet N911a 8600 Proj... HP Officejet Pro 8600.exe guard eager to install a new printer

I just got an Officejet Pro 8600 N911a and installed out of the box with no problems... it prints, copies and scans wonderfully.

I just downloaded this package "complete" on HP.com and that seems to work as well.  He put an icon on my desktop and programs (I use Windows 7 64-bit) which is a shortcut that points to this "C:\Program HP HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin\HP Officejet Pro 8600.exe" - UDCDevicePage start

The first time I used this, he showed me a page of control with options to check the ink levels, connectsion etc.  Then I rebooted, and now if I click on the icon, I get the message of Windows asking me if its ok for the program change windows (as if its about to install something) and then shows me a box that wants to connect a new printer or change the wireless settings.  I tried to run the program from the command prompt with and without the "-Start UDCDevicePage ' qualifier and it gives me the same thing.  ... Always the same restart.

the printer works fine... just this irritating program.  any thoughts?

Something was damaged during the restart. You need to just uninstall and reinstall the software and the drivers again.
