OfficeJet Pro 8610: lines when copying

I tried the solutions to vertical lines when copying or scanning, but none has solved the problem.

Please help, it lasts for a long time and I'm ready to move from the printers. Thank you

I have it! I was focusing on the large flat glass and originally made a quick cleaning of the small scanner glass, not realizing that it was the smallest glass surface that the scanning mechanism is until what I watched a YouTube of cleaning description. I thank very you much for your time.

    Hi @Wendy-needshelp,.

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your problem copying.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one with a computer and Windows 7 when you copy from sometimes flat it will only copy and print 1/8 of the page. I would like to help.

You mentioned having unplugged and replugged the power cord. This is something that could be done. If you can, I reset the power and try to connect the printer directly to a wall outlet, if you currently use a protector or electrical surge extention. Sometimes the surge protectors can limit the amout of the power supplied to the printer.

There was an update firmware released in April, which can help your printer. You can download the update of the firmware and run it from your computer to install it on the printer. You can go to the HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g_n Firmware download page by clicking here.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

I managed to answer my own question. I installed the software on my computer and then connected it by usb. My computer came next with asking me what language and location, I tried - showing the Lebanon and Arabic as the default value. I chose UK and English, and that's the officejet changed language on its screen.

Panic at the wire. I even beat the HP support counselor who promised to get the Arab Department to advise me!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan

HP Officejet Pro 8600 more black vertical line when copy or scan everything in the middle of the page

    Hi Clementstl,

I understand that you have a 8600 Pro Officejet which puts a black vertical line in the center of your copies/scans. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you solve this problem.

I recommend the rest of this document of vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans as it should be in a position to help to cross that line. The most common cause is a small spot of something on the glass of the scanner, so just make sure that when you're cleaning use you as much elbow grease you can collect

Just to clarify a little further, if the problem only seems to occur when you use the automatic document feeder, you'll want to focus your attention on the small strip of glass that he uses on the left side. If it only occurs when you use the flat glass, you want to concentrate on the large piece of glass he uses.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 - black lines when copying, colored scanning lines

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600. When I try to copy from glass, copy of ADF, I get black lines going the length of the pages. Whenver I scan, once more, the glass or ADF I get lines colored, ranging from the length of the analysis. I called HP customer service and the representative told me clean the glass and part inside of the ADF, but the problem still remains. No idea if this is a common problem? More important still, how fix it.

Do a hard rest on the printer. Let the printer and unplug the power cord. In doing so, it will remove the lines.

When a solution is found, please indicate the position that solves your problem.

If I have solved your problem, please do not hesitate to provide laurels and make sure that you mark this thread as provided solution!

The HP Officejet 8610 does not support automatic double-sided copy of a centre but only duplex printing.

You can use the HP scanner software to scan document manual duplex print it to work around the problem.

    Good,

After reading so many others and worth that they have with this issue, I submit to you that this could be a serious problem.

I have an impression of this printer using any software problem, if I try to select the paper size of 4 x 6 or the "Photo paper" options in the printer settings.

The best part is the error message I receive Windows 8.1. It is said that the printer "to monitor". There is no pop up n the printer as a mistake and nothing in the screen "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Devices and Printers\HP Officejet Pro 8610 (network)" on an error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And do not pull the shit 'check the paper tray' here... I checked about 12 hours of your support help documents and I'm tired of seeing this document as the solution to the problem. This is not it.

Also, I don't want to hear, which does not support the format of paper. The software driver has several options of stock of photo paper and several sizes...

What's next? That's what I want to know... What's next?

    Alrighty then...

I don't know what I did differently, but it seems to be the impression this morning. Totally weird, but happy that he woke up!

    Belle is not usable equal

The HP 8610 can care for the moisture content of the paper, or maybe the printer doesn't like the weight of the paper you are trying to use.  This is the simpler, more straightforward answer.

Assuming that you selected correctly before the type of media in the printing preferences for the printer knows what kind of paper to expect and how to react - the printer is maybe not able to manage this particular test.  If this is the case, and regardless of the perception of the quality of the paper, there is no way to force the printer to accept this document.  It is not a question of "bad paper" - it is a question of how the printer sensors respond to the book.

Beautiful paper is not always equal paper which is printed on each printer.  HP printers are not the only picky ones in the world.  All printers of high quality can respond to the report in this way.  You don't have to use paper HP, is told by the way.   Try different papers.  Place this paper somewhere cool and dry to store and try again later.

    Printing preferences

If you have not already done so, you can set the media type in printing preferences.

Setting the media Type tells the printer what kind of paper be expected; the printer sets the reels and the spring tension to pull the paper into the printer correctly.

  • Install OfficeJet Pro 8610 on Windows Server 2012

    Hello

I'm trying to install the drivers for a Pro OfficeJet 8610 on a system running Windows Server 2012. I installed the drivers from here (after choosing Windows 2012 for the operating system): http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-Pro-8610-e-All-in-One-Printer-series/53...

First of all, I tried to install using the GUI (Setup.exe) but ran into an error indicating that the operating system was not compatible.

I did some research and discovered that these drivers must be installed by using the command line and the command msiexec.exe. I tried to do it by using the following command-line (with administrator privileges): msiexec.exe /i PATHTOMSI

However, when I do that, it gives me ALWAYS an error of incompatible operating system. Don't know what to do here.

Here is a link to the Post on the HP Forum explaining the need for a command line install: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/installing-Pro-8610-Windows-server-2008rt-X64/m-p/426...

    Thank you.

I ended up soliving this problem myself while tinkering around.

I went through the process of adding a new printer through the devices window and printers.

I said my printer was not listend so opted to manually configure a printer. I have created a new local port and he just called the name of the printer. He then invited for drivers. I chose the disc and then navigated to the folder where I had extracted the printer drivers. Selected this file and the drivers installed.

This example gets the drivers installed in the system. Windows should then automatically recognize/install the printer if it is plugged.

Mind you, I had to do that only for printing on a desktop connection remote. If you need the real HP software installed to print AND scan, this will not work for this.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: No desktop Windows 7 printing and Officejet Pro 8610

I bought and installed a new 8610 Officejet Pro about a month ago.  My desktop computer is a unit of HP Windows 7.  The printer is wireless.

Until a few days ago, everything worked fine, but now I can't print anything from my desktop computer.  Printing from my computer MacBook laptop works very well.  Printing from my iphone is fine.  Digitization of the desktop computer is fine.  Webprinting is fine.  The printer icon has a nice green checkmark in the devices folder.

I ran printing HP and doctor Scan, which claims to solve a problem of port, but does not solve the problem.

I use windows to troubleshoot the connection, claiming to make the printer available to my homegroup, but it does not solve the problem.

I tried to change the security settings for the spooler.  Has not solved the problem.

I can not manually stop and star the spooler via prompt back.  Said system 5, access denied error.

It's maddening.  I got rid of my old printer (which must be printed from the office) so that I could have a capacity of wireless printing, and now I have the ability wireless, but impossible to print from my desktop.  Aaaaggghhhhhh!

    Hey @steplaw,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Now I'll have to charge you another Officejet driver on your product. Because the network connection is fine, and scanning is still fine, I do not think that the problem you are experiencing is connectivity or related software. This driver replacement, I'll have to charge you will work exactly the same way as the e-all-in-one printer driver Officejet Pro 8610. Therefore, you won't lose all the features by this fix. Please, try the following steps.

Step 1: Clear the temporary files:

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. In the box "search programs and files" located just above to start after you click on it, type %temp% , and then press enter on your keyboard
    3. When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will highlight now.
    4. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. A Temp file should you will automatically get the pop up to 'jump' this point.
    5. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    6. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

Please proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Load driver replacing:

    1. Please click hereto download the Officejet driver
    2. Once the download is complete, you can get a command prompt to run the download. If you see the prompt run, please let it run.
    3. An extraction should now take place. When the extraction is complete, an install window can jump open. Please close windows install everything. You do not want to run a facility.
    4. Then, click on the Start menu. In the box "search programs and files" type folder and press enter on your keyboard
    5. When the Temp folder opens, find the file 7z. Click this folder to open it. It should include files that say OJ860
    6. At the top of this file, you will see a file path bar. It may show something like "computer - disc Local C - users - AppData - Local - Temp - 7z... " Left click on the right side of this path to file on the top bar. The path should now highlight.
    7. Right click on the highlighted file path and select copy

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: HP Officejet pro not connected 8610

I have a new modem and children router Duel.    Router is Lynksis EA3500 with capacity of 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz.   You just bought a new HP Officejet Pro 8610 which I learned now will only work on a 2.4 GHz system.   When I connect the printer to the wireless system, it stops the 5 GHz network.   It starts all other devices.   These devices can join the 2.4 GHz but can see is even more the 5.0 GHz network.   Is not acceptable.

Do I need another printer, or can it be fixed?   I don't understand why the printer will not run on the 2.4, but allow only laptops, televisions and office use the 5 GHz range.   Ridiculous.

I spent 1: 30 on the phone with Lynksis first, and they checked the router works perfectly.   Then I spent 2 hours talking to HP in India and they just said sorry we will say HP to make this printer capable of 5.0 in the future.

Not good - ready to return the printer.   Another option?

    Thanks Eric

I just got the phone with Lynksis and they fixed the problem caused by the HP support line.  HP support line put me on the wrong channel widths.   Lynksis immediately saw the problem.  So after day LOOOONNNG computers and laptops are back on 5.0 and the printer is on 2.4.   Just surprised that the HP support service was unfamiliar with the issue and so ready to tell me that the computers will simply stay on 2.4 if they wanted to be connected to a printer.

    Thank you Eric student honor.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610 - error setting up Fax Wizard I don't use a proper phone cord

I have a single line by Time Warner Cable telephone system that is a set which includes the cable TV, internet connection of road runner and digital phone. I use a system of wireless phone with a stand-alone answering machine which works very well.

I'll just put up my new printer Officejet Pro 8610 and crossed the Fax Setup Wizard to use my voice single line telephone and fax system just as I did with my old HP Multifunction printer it replaces.

Everything seemed to connect and to work very well when one had the Fax Wizard to perform the test at the end of the installation procedure. As a precaution, I ran the consecutive times to test with the answering machine turned on and turned off and twice he spent in all categories, and once it failed to indicate that the phone cord was not the right kind.

I used the RJ11 cable supplied with the printer, but it wasn't enough long reach the phone in the wall jack that I connected an additional RJ11 cord so it would reach. So the two cords to have only 2 pods as they should.

I am trying to determine why I get together and pass and fails with the same set up?  If I need one RJ11 telephone plug cord in the wall to the printer?  Or am I running a subsequent wizard test too soon after a previous?

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions about the reason that I feel this inconsistency.

    Thank you

    Hi coollx,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that your HP Officejet pro 8610 is indicating that you are using the wrong phone cord. I'm happy to help you with this problem of Fax!

It is possible that what you need is a cord of unique phone from the telephone jack in the wall to the printer.
