OfficeJet Pro 8610: Program InstantInk HP

I try to save my printer to the HP InstantInk program.  One of the steps requires that I have print a page the printer which will include a code identifier for the site instantink.  My printer now appears to be out of yellow and white ink and, therefore, do not print.

Is it possible to get this code without being able to print?  If I go buy ink, it defeats the whole purpose to register for this service.

Hey @Undrhil,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I understand that you're looking to get the claim code from your e-all-in-one printer HP Officejet Pro 8610 without printing so you can finish your instant installation of ink. I want to help you with this.

If your printer is connected to a network (ethernet or wireless will do) tap the Web services your façade of 8610's (). If the webservices are not activated, activate them and press OK to enable the automatic updates of printers. If you see just low ink alert messages jumping in front of them. Under the summary webservices, you should see an ePrint ending address by @hpeprint.com. The foregoing the ' @' symbol is your claim code. If this code does not work, press Print Info under settings webservices; (I realize that this will not print, but it will update the code and make it sustainable for the rest of the configuration of your ink instant).

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: HP Offijet Pro 8610 and retractable edition

    Hello

I have a question about printing and adjust it.

I have an image that I want to print, and it is great.

I have 2 printers an epson and an officejet 8610.

When I print on my Epson printer, the image is shrunk and print everything on one page.

But each big image that I try to print on the 8610, it prints some parts of the image to other pages.

I'm no shrink to adjust option in the settings of the printer and my programs are already developed shrint to print.

So, how to activate or find the shrink to fit on the 8610 printer?

I have instant ink if I want to print on the 8610, but since it prints on several pages, it must continue to use my Epson currently.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @Grenpara,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your print request.

I understand that you use a HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 8.1 computer and you try to print a large image file, but there is no scale to move page or reduced to fit option so the image is printed on several pages. I would like to help with that.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: No desktop Windows 7 printing and Officejet Pro 8610

I bought and installed a new 8610 Officejet Pro about a month ago.  My desktop computer is a unit of HP Windows 7.  The printer is wireless.

Until a few days ago, everything worked fine, but now I can't print anything from my desktop computer.  Printing from my computer MacBook laptop works very well.  Printing from my iphone is fine.  Digitization of the desktop computer is fine.  Webprinting is fine.  The printer icon has a nice green checkmark in the devices folder.

I ran printing HP and doctor Scan, which claims to solve a problem of port, but does not solve the problem.

I use windows to troubleshoot the connection, claiming to make the printer available to my homegroup, but it does not solve the problem.

I tried to change the security settings for the spooler.  Has not solved the problem.

I can not manually stop and star the spooler via prompt back.  Said system 5, access denied error.

It's maddening.  I got rid of my old printer (which must be printed from the office) so that I could have a capacity of wireless printing, and now I have the ability wireless, but impossible to print from my desktop.  Aaaaggghhhhhh!

    Hey @steplaw,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Now I'll have to charge you another Officejet driver on your product. Because the network connection is fine, and scanning is still fine, I do not think that the problem you are experiencing is connectivity or related software. This driver replacement, I'll have to charge you will work exactly the same way as the e-all-in-one printer driver Officejet Pro 8610. Therefore, you won't lose all the features by this fix. 2. Once the download is complete, you can get a command prompt to run the download. If you see the prompt run, please let it run.

    4. Then, click on the Start menu. In the box "search programs and files" type folder and press enter on your keyboard

NO option to change the order of printing on any tab

This option existed.  What has changed?

Deskjet 6980 driver is compatible with the Officejet Pro 8600 series (including the 8610) and provides the order of the pages, but also of the other missing features of the Officejet Pro driver 8610 including:

    • Order of pages
    • Resizing options, including the page scaling in percent or adjust.
    • County of copy (with Assembly option)
    • Image mirror (for printing T-Shirt transfer or stickers)
    • Watermarks
    • Tip of color (the color, Saturation and brightness, the individual sliders for CMYK tone)
    • Overspray
    • Drying time

The Deskjet 6980 driver can be installed as follows (the instructions are for Windows 7, other versions would be similar): file devices and printers, click with the right button on the Officejet 8600, select Advanced, new driver, Next, properties of the printer, Windows Update, wait a while for the page to refresh, and then select the driver HP Deskjet 6980 (HP), OK.  It may be desirable to change the name back to Officejet Pro 8610: right click on the printer, the printer, the general properties, type the name of the desired printer, apply.  While, it may be necessary to activate the duplexer: click the device settings tab, set the duplex unit installed, apply, OK.

Install another printer driver will have no effect on scanning applications.
