Officejet Pro L7555 replacement ink cartridges

I have a HP Officejet Pro L7555 printer.  It uses HP 88XL size printer cartridges, but lately, I haven't seen this size of cartridge in my local stores.  The 88XL has been replaced and this is the new model of cartridge No. ?

Hey 2davidc8,

To get a HP 88XL cartridges to print to your printer, I can't say as to why the cartridge is not available in your local stores. I don't see that the cartridges are still available at HP Shopping.

Kind regards.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500: new ink cartridges does not

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500.  It's probably 2 or 3 years.  He says not what 8500, but I think it was
a diagnosis 'as model A909a.  My level of printing showed that the black ink cartridge must be replaced.  I knew too because what should have been print black was printing a red light faded.  I replaced the black cartridge with a HP product, but it is always print red and get more faded.  Any ideas what could be the problem?  Thank you!

UPDATE!  Good news!  Somehow I discovered that I needed to update the software. I think it could have been through the option "Scan Doctor".  When I tried to install the software on your computer it wouldn't.  But I went directly to the HP software download site, informed my hardware information and that worked!  I downloaded and installed the updated software and that fixed my problem of black ink cartridge.  I'm so happy and proud of myself!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless - ink cartridges

I have had this unit for about two years. Use it mainly for scanning, not a lot of printing.

After about four months, after printing next to nothing with him, I had to replace all four cartridges. Not one, but he had to have all four. All four ran empty cartridges at the same time.

    About eight months later, ditto.

    About eight months later, ditto.

And now, about eight or nine months later, once again.

I don't use it enough to empty one of the ink cartridges in this period of time, much less than each of them.

What is happening on that he needs new ink cartridges so often?

It is absolutely impossible that all four ink cartridges would go dry at the same time - four times. Is something wrong with the printer?

Windows XP. The cartridges were all HP.

    Thank you.

    Hi stevewest26,

If you leave the printer turned on 24/7 the printer will do a printer maintenance to avoid the cartridges get clogged. During the maintenance of the printer it use some of the ink in all 4 cartridges to properly initiate the print heads and keep the printer in good working order for you when you want to print. It is best to let the printer on so that he could complete the period maintence of this way you don't end up throwing the printheads due to jets of a bite. If you are not using this printer to print you may consider a scanjet do your scans. I hope that explains why you see the cartridges being exhausted.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8625 black ink cartridge setup snap

I am trying to install our new printer Officejet Pro 8625 and the black cartridge (950) that came with it does not come off in place. Every time that I push it in it jumps out. I tried to use another cartridge (950) that was in our Officejet Pro 8600 and she also wouldn't install despite editing perfectly in the other printer.

    Hey @millconst ,

Thank you for taking time in your day to ask this question on the HP Forums today!

It's clearly a hardware problem if different cartridges component snap. I STRONGLY recommend that you call into Technical Support HP.

If you are in the Canada, U.S. dial 800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP worldwide.

HP printers usually have a warranty of 1 year from the date of purchase, you can check the warranty using the following if you wish; guarantee cheque.

    I hope this helps.

  • Correct ink cartridge HP Officejet Pro L7555 - was 88XL; can I use 940XL?

The HP Officejet Pro 7500 series seems to require the HP 88XL ink cartridges, but these are not well highlighted these days.  The 840XL works in the 8000 series and these machines seem almost identical to the 7555 I.  The 840XL works instead of the HP 88XL?  What is the difference between these anyway?

Thanks for any light you can throw on this issue.

HP Officejet Pro L7555 requires ink HP 88 is correct. These are not well highlighted these days; is not true. You can always shop online at http://shopping2.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/search-SimpleOfferSearch?PageSize=15&search=&SearchTerm=HP+88 for the HP 88 ink.

It's the HP 940 ink that works in HP Officejet Pro 8000/8500 series printers.

The HP L7555 and Pro 8000 may seem identical in some aspects, but not all because many features are added in the new printers. Even ink the printer technology is updated.

The two sweepers in discussion mechanism different ink and so HP 940 work nto on both.

  • Ethernet network Officejet Pro L7555 printer-perfect on one but feel problems with others

My HP Officejet Pro L7555 is connected to an ethernet network.  Two computers are on the network in the same residential group.  The printer is installed on computer A (I-5 with Win 7 Pro) files downtloaded the HP support assistance.  It is shared with computer B (I-3 with Win 7 Home).  The printer works perfectly with A computer, which gives a perfect page test, but on computer B, it will print only a small portion of the top line, true for all applications I tried to print from.

When I try to use the HP solution on computer A Center, I receive a message that the installation is not complete.

The Scan doesn't work at all, showing no connection when used with Windows Fax & Scan, but then I could never run early on with my old Windows XP computers, and all attempts to download updates for the older systems failed.

Print clues about how to solve the problem would be greatly appreciated.

  • HP Officejet Pro K5400: Replaced an ink cartridge, but it still considers that it must be replaced!

Very recently, I replaced my yellow ink cartridge and it worked fine for a few days, but now the printer tells me that he should be replaced, even though I replaced it a few weeks ago! It's never happened before.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: replaced warranty for printer and cartridges of manipulation

My Officejet Pro 6830 AiO printer doesn't have 3 months after purchase (power supply is ok, but it no longer lights). I contacted HP support and a replacement printer is on the way.
Unfortunately I replaced all ink cartridges 'setup' 4 with brand new just a few days before the failure of the printer, so I asked the Lady to support (good person) if and how I can recover the defective device.
She told me to take off the cartridges of the faulty unit and retain them for the replacement printer, but was to serve once the "setup" cartridges sent with the unit will be out of ink.

    Now, I have some doubts:

    (1) when I take my full semi the defective printer cartridges, I fear that the ink will start to dry... should I cover the opening at the bottom of the cartridges with tape? Will it be enough?

    (2) the ink in the printhead of the defective unit will start to get dry as well. The defect of the device is clearly in electronics, while the print head has worked perfectly. Isn't bad to leave the print head is clogged by dry ink? I still have empty cartridges "setup" out (differentiation 'stock' of waste...) should I put them on the print head?

    (3) the defective printer does not turn so to loosen its cartridges, I need to manually pull the cart of the printhead to the center position. Is it Ok?

Thanks to all those who will clear this point to me.

    Hi @RickyGold,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you have questions about your printer HP Officejet Pro 6830. I am happy to answer these questions for you!

    To answer your questions:

    1. To properly store the cartridges, I suggest you put them in an airtight container, such as a ziplock bag or Tupperware. Make sure that the contacts on the cartridges are not touch anything.
    2. I wouldn't worry about the obstruction with the defective printer printhead.
    3. I suggest to try to move the cartridge door manually, but don't force it, if it will not move freely. If you are unable to get the cartridges, please contact HPtelephone support for further assistance. As they would be able to replace the cartridges for you. (After you fill out the information, you will receive a phone number.) If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Replacement of the 950 and 951 with 950XL & 951XL cartridges

I replaced all cartridges start-up who were 950 & 951 with 950XL and 951XL. I now have a lot of wet ink over printed pages and printing is unreadable. It is the upgrade to XL one no no?

XL 950 and 951 cartridges should work correctly in the Officejet Pro 8600, I had no problems using it in my Officejet Pro 8600.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: color ink is not printing

We just received our 6830 Officejet Pro a few months ago and feel sometimes but not often. Yesterday when I tried to print, printed only black things on the page. None of the colorful text printed at all - not even in a different color or a shade - so it appears none of the color ink cartridges has been used. The printer indicates that all four cartridges are about 50% full.

Things that I've checked or tried:

The computer has the choice of the color selected.

Color copy gives the same result - no color.

I checked the vents and they don't seem to be blocked. I stuffed them with a needle just to be safe.

I hit the bottom of the cartridges where the ink comes out and ink on my fingers. They are not dry.

    I'd clean the print heads.

I tried putting the printer off, and then restarting the computer.

The "test page" and the "print quality diagnostics page" do not print with any color either.

The printer indicates that it not there no new updates.

Color printing perfectly fine a few weeks ago, no sign cartridges drying up. It is under warranty, but it's our third of these printers and really, I prefer not to be yet another replacement if it is possible to solve this problem! (The first two were a high pitched noise all the time while it is plugged). Thanks in advance for advice.

After the execution of the cycle 'cleaning print head' repeatedly, the color ink is now working!
