I need to replace the ink cartridges, and the instructions that came with the printer do not explain how.

I not sure how to open the printer to get the cartridges.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 continous (not of paper) paper jam error

As soon as the printer powers on it the ink carrier Wizz backward real quick (as he struggles to move) and then gives me a paper jam error (the resume light flashes and error appears on my screen). He did the same thing when I try to print anything (including the status report page).

When I up the access panel upward (power on), the carrier of ink isn't even move to ink cartridges which can be changed. I try to move with force, but it does not move (if I use more strength, somethings will break). Ink is a bit new, so I don't know it still has ink in there.

    The steps I've tried:

plugged the power supply into the wall outlet

    roller cleaning

THERE IS NO PAPER or PAPER PIECES BETWEEN ROLLERS (I checked like 20 times)

    reset the printer

There is a large black gear coupled to a white average speed on the left side near the bottom of the printer. I manually drove the speed by pressing (rotation) of North (or forward or to the rear of the printer) for a few seconds and once I did that. the ink carrier was able to move as it's supposed to, and I could see the ink. but once the power is back on, the carrier of ink was in the locked position and fights again and gives me the paper jam error.

I don't have really any troubleshooting documents on the CV online on how to fix a jammed media of ink and clearing paper jams, so I'm out of options.

    It is plugged into USB

The main problem is the paper jam error.

I don't know if the stuck carrier of ink is the cause.

  • HP OFFICEJET PRO 6230: Best way to change the settings WIFI on HP OFFICEJET PRO 6230

    Hi all

Just after some advice about this printer. It's the printer be mobile , so it can be taken with the Member of staff, connected to wifi where they are and then the group they present to can do impressions of him through their ipads (via AirPrint).

This all works well 'in House' connected to our wireless network. Have set up the printer wireless via the software installed on their laptop computer (with a USB cable to transfer the settings of the printer), but y at - it an EASY way to change the SSID and password wifi when they are there in the area? I know you can hold down the button "wifi" on the printer for three seconds (until the wireless flashes) then hold down the button "WPS" about to access/reuter and they have a link but it's only if WPS is available and that the staff member can access the reuter/access point.

They will have their laptops with them and USB cable in order to re - set the SSID and password, but seems a bit lengthy to go by "connect a new printer" for each site they visit. Is the right way to do it or there at - it another way 'over easy' I forgot. I guess also here the printer remembers SSID/passwords so that there be set up a time for a given location and then will be "auto-connect" if they come back? Is this correct?

Any help on this is much appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Andy

Not the printer that you want to do.  Here is the Guide of the user for you to read on your wireless options.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-6230-ePrinter-series/5390318/model/5390319/manuals/

You will need to run the configuration each time to connect software.  You could try Direct another wireless to connect to the printer.  You need a printer with a Panel for configuration complete front so you can easily change the SSID.

Whatever it is, everyone will have to load the software in order to use the printer.  It can automatically connect, but do not count on it.

  • Office jet pro 6230: office jet pro 6230

I have a new officejet pro 6230 and the lights indicate a print head problem.  I changed the cartridges, powered it on and off and still get the flashing lights.  I looked up the authorized service centers and there is not less than 1000 miles of Cleveland OH. (go figure).  I bought the printer at Amazon and hoping not to have to return it.  Does anyone have suggestions as to where to fix as it is under warranty or how to solve the problems of flashing light?  Thank you.

I had a similar problem with a HP 8500 - and I followed the suggestion to replace the print (for a cost of US $130) TWO heads!  Unsurprisingly, after that the HP ALWAYS had the same problem.  I did some research on the problems of print head on this site and found out that in all cases (that I found) was the ONLY way that the problem has been resolved by completely replacing the printer.  Unfortunately, mine was out of warranty.

But, since yours is still under warranty, my suggestion is to contact HP customer support - they will be able to tell you what they can do for you in respect of the guarantee: Contact HP customer care. HP® customer support

  • HP Officejet Pro 6230: Install printer drivers when no internet connection

I need to install the base for a 6230 OJPro on a PC printer driver that has no Internet connection.

The HP installation wizard insists to request registration information (e.g., zip code), then try to go online to return it to HP.  While the PC is connected to a network, there is no Internet connection, and the installer crashes.

I get a Dr. Watson dialog box (I cancel), and then the Setup Wizard tries to go online (new) to find a solution to the accident.

Is it possible to install the printer driver, but not request registration information and/or jump to go online to register?

I did find a guide the administrator (or similar) which offers etc command line switches for changing the behavior of the installation wizard to do this.

    Thank you

    @John-Smith,

Thanks for the clarification. I went ahead and installed the basic printing software on my lab and managed to make some changes in the installer so that it automatically opens the online registration. See below:

Open the basic software download, click on the next button until you get the facility agreements and settings, here you have to click on the link that I've highlighted for you, see the image below:

Now once here, please uncheck the option I have pointed out, you can also choose to disable the other options here, I'll leave to you. See the image below:

Once you have unchecked the box to register online, click Next and continue with the installation.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Error Message: incompatible print heads

The printer is not even a month and has worked perfectly, until last week when he simply stopped Mid-print page. There are no jams, no flashing lights, it just stopped printing. I turned it and turn it back on and that's when the ink lights began flashing. First there was black ink, which I changed with a new cartridge (even though I know that the configuration it was not empty). Then each colored ink lights began flashing. I replaced all four cartridges with the new HP ink and the Scan doctor says that the print heads are alternately missing, damaged or incompatible. The message passes whenever I check. I am at a loss and impossible even to contact someone to get this repaired thing (because it is still under warranty).

None of the troubleshooting techniques worked. I had all the tried before they have been suggested, so I ended up contact HP and receiving a replacement printer. We'll see how it goes.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6230: Officejet Pro 6230 fault

I am trying to print and get all the lights of cartridge from in order from left to right.

What is a print head fault? If so, it's the second fault that I lived on a printer HP inkjet in as many weeks!

This printer - just like the other who has since been replaced - less than 1 year

    Hello
Welcome to the HP community @LincolnIBC,

I saw your post on the cartridge on your Officejet 6230 lights and wanted soft hand with my suggestions. Personally, I would try a reset and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, turn on the printer again and try to print.

If there are errors, let me know and I'll check to see if there is more troubleshooting to try!

    Reset:

With the printer, unplug the power cord at the back of the unit.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the unit.
If the printer does not by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

    Hi @AylestoneHash,

I have an idea! After preparing your post, my first instinct is to assume that the problem is somehow related to the driver. Now, I could be wrong, it's happened once or twice before, but I would like to test my theory. We will assign another driver and see if that fixes the problem then.
