  I just bought two of these printers to computers (HP 8500 910 has) for a business that I'm in personal computing.  I install these printers to print invoices from QuickBooks POS for.  They complain that they are slow to print, I can see that they are sometimes (but it is matter of QuickBooks, not HP...).  They need TWO copies of each page to be printed (TWO bills), but the HP driver does not offer this option in the settings of the driver (amount of copy), then it would print two copies via a job (QuickBooks separates it via two jobs for two copies and delays in-between, which I can not change...).

  So, I need a driver that works with a 910, 8500, which will offer a number of copy on Windows 7 64 x environment.  I looked at Windows 8 and the pre-loaded drivers supplied with Windows 8 have an amount of copy for the 8500 series: /, but not Windows 7...

  Click on the MENU START

  1. click on devices and printers

  2. click on addition of PRINTER (local printer)

  3. Select USE EXISTING PORTS (select the port that the printer is turned on now)

  4. another window will open. On the left, select HP. Right side, choose DESKJET 990c. If you don't see the deskjet 990 printer in the list, choose to update windows. After update, it should appear.

  I can't find any interface or driver for scanning, except the screen on the printer.

  Use of the screen, I have the choice of jpg and pdf (also by e-mail, but who do not need).

  PDF: Give me the whole page and I can "save under" a tiff file or anything else since Acrobat up to 1200 dpi, but the resolution is certainly not the 4800dpi promised in the specification of this machine. And there is no mention of the color depth.

  Where is the driver!

  I have never had a scanner that didn't come with a driver that could be imported into PhotoShop, offering an interface for different resolutions and cropping.

  Should I remove this printer?

  By the way, I was on the chat for a long time yesterday, because the yellow cartridge sunk and emptied at the time the implementation has been full. Cat person told me to call phone support today, but one of the service centres is down and the tree of phone hangs up on me.

  Using Navigator MP EX or ImageCapture? If you use MP Navigator, make sure you check the settings on the new users to make sure that it is looking for the network version of the scanner.

  I suggest to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

  I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

  After the updates, I recommend you to reinstall the series HP ENVY 4500 full feature software and drivers.

  You may need to configure the automatic duplexer in the HP printing software.

  Discover sone of the procedure described in this document - printing on both sides of the paper (duplex) (OS X). Note: This model of printer supports automatic duplex printing. Scroll down to "How do I duplex automatic if my printer takes in charge?" in the FAQ section.

  I click on the color picker and where I saw the normal color #0000ff blue on my windows computer, this version of mac mountain lion shows a color purple-ish. Strangely, if I enter the # hex in the color picker and use it as a filler, the correct color appears on the scene, but when I use the pipette on that color, it shows as purple color again on the toolbar.

  I saw something similar to this happen when you use adobe photoshop. However, the usual solution is just to do the color management profile to monitor RGB. The only drawback with Flash is there is no preference to set. The palette of colors in Adobe Photoshop displays as it should with correct blue.

  I should also mention that I use a Samsung 941bw monitor with my mac mini, which could also be part of the problem.

  I thought I would make this post anyway, just in case it's the OS & Adobe Flash CS6 and not the monitor.

  I've included a screenshot over which shows that I chose the color purple and then did a form of a rectangle on the stage and it comes out blue.

  You can try to change the display settings of your monitor in Adobe RGB color (1998).

  System Preferences > displays > color and see if that helps.

  I can't get my Officejet Pro 8500 Premium 910N a scanner on my MacBook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.2). It keeps telling me "software for this device is not installed. Scanner/printer does not recognize my MacBook in the network. My MacBook recognizes an Officejet in the network. I can print from my MacBook to the printer, so there is no communication between the two, it just won't scan.

  I have:

  Check updates (update Apple) no update available.

  Reset printers

  Done a permission repair disc

  Several reboots

  Uninstalled and reinstalled MacKeeper MacKeeper

  Put new cartridges in the printer (HP-brand)

  I'm seriously running out of options. Help?

  FIXED! Sunshyne2005, thanks a lot to direct me to the solution!

  Here's what worked:

  1. Connect to hdsetup
  2. Press the report Page button on the printer (the one with the box)
  3. Continue with step 3 of the Sunshyne2005: open a browser and enter the IP address of hdsetup.
  4. Look around for the wireless configuration wizard (sorry, I can't access is no longer hdsetup, and I just don't remember where it is)
  5. Enter the SSID (name) of the wireless network and the password
  6. Note: You will see a button to finish, but it has no effect. At this point, the printer is successfully added to the wireless network and access the hdsetup disappears. Therefore, the wizard will no longer work, but the important thing is that the printer is connected. : )
