    Hello

Since this is my first post, I'll say this first: I love my 4 GB Sansa Clip!

I had a strange problem, however, and a quick look through the forums has not enlightened yet, although I apologize if it's already been processed somewhere I use my Clip in MSC mode exclusively (DPW was just too odd and flaky). To make it work fine on Windows XP, Mac OS X Tiger and Ubuntu Linux 9.04. Windows is on my main computer, and several months ago the Clip stopped being recognized. In fact, when I plugged into the computer, it come alive and say it is 'connected', but it would not charge and it would not appear as a device in Windows. So I tried it on my Mac mini, and it worked fine. So I used it on my Mac mini since then, but tonight, the same thing happened there: I plugged into it, he said 'connected', but not charged and could not climb. I'm so back to my Windows machine thinking maybe the moody aircraft was begging for some MS action tonight, but no luck. So I restarted in my distro Ubuntu (9.04 v and guess what?) Fortunately, it is charging as I type and he fitted immediately and allowed me to transfer files via.

So, what gives? Why would it matter what operating system tries to mount? It is a complete mystery to me, and I wonder how long I could have before even Linux stops recognize it...

Anyone else encounter this? Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for your Mac problem, but sometimes the Windows can have a brainfart and corrupt the USB driver. Go in with the connected player Device Manager and look for a faulty device (indicated by a triangle-and-yellow exclamation icon) in the tree view of the devices Universal Serial Bus controllers section. Delete any you find, disconnect the drive and restart your PC. Once Windows has finished loading, reconnect the video and Windows should detect and reinstall the driver.

Check the checksum of ISO that you downloaded? Eventually looks bad media.

  • Installation of operating system problem

I installed windows 8 via a usb port... After it was installed, it took too much time then I restarted the system... But after that, nothing has worked... First, he showed that no operating system has been found... Then you are prompted to restart the system and reinstall windows... And it kept saying... If I remove the USB he invites me to restart and nothing else works... pressing f10 or shift + f10 is not even open the prompt... and if I insert the usb key I get the BOOTMGR missing... Press ctrl + alt + delete to restart... I tried evrything... f2, f12, f8 or f6... nothing happened... How to fix this... I can't even not the bios or Setup... even to the registry editor...

Power the system down, it turns the power off and wait 10 to 20 minutes.

Plug it in again after 20 minutes and start the thumb drive and make a custom installation:

Boot from the Windows 8 USB key
    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Operating system problems

My laptop is an Acer Aspire and the white sticker on the back says E1-571-33124G50MnKs, which is what I guess is necessary for a new post on these forums. My laptop had the hard drive completely fried, unable to be reused. The hard drive has had an impact and just stopped working. At the start, he says "Insert bootable device" and I had this happen with one of my other laptops before so I'm aware of what has past. But I just bought a new hard drive of the computer and I really don't want to have to pay all that money for windows 8.1. I read that a few discussions they suggest that acer remembers the key of windows product, is - it true? and if this is how I recover windows on my new hard drive? Thank you!

IIRC the E1-571 uses UEFI bot by default, and it has stored the key. You should be able to install without problems. If you reinstall from the Acer restore image you will automatically get all good drivers and other institutions.

  • Change of operating systems problem

Big question for the tech people out there who knows how to solve this problem. I bought Windows 7 to replace my old Windows XP. When I loaded it on, Windows 7 has got recorded on one of my internal hard drives and not my C drive. Anyone know how I can remove XP C drive and replace it by the already loaded on Windows 7? I have tried to format the C drive, but it does not. Annoyingly, whenever I start my computer it wonder if I want to load Windows 7 or an earlier version (XP). Any help would be great :D

    Hi all
I have a problem during the installation of operating system from the recovery disk (Win XP Media Center Edition).
After loading the disc, I seen the installer welcome window, set up all the parameters in it and pressed the OK button.
After that, an error has occurred (in a black console window):

Check the type of partition MBR

After reading this message and pressing a computer key restarts and that's all that happens.
Also I can not install another OS (Win 7 for example), during the last part of an installation, I get a message "the work cannot be completed.".

That's happened? I don't understand what is the reason for this problem. I was reinstall another OS (the drive recovery too) often earlier and everything was OK.

You can install WXP using the Microsoft installation disc?

I'm not surprised by the response of Kingston.  The issue of density memory was mentioned message #2.

Try a few other manufacturers of memory and see if you can get the own memory DIMMs.

  • problem with restart operating system upgrade

I recently bought a refurbished mac model identifier: imac8, 1... I bought and installed snow leopard operating system and I am now trying to upgrade further, the problem I have is when I do an upgrade that the computer does not restart, it just goes to the star screen and do not turn off and restart it, how do I solve this?

If the computer still has installed 10.6.3 according to your profile and then download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 v1.1 updated Combo. Then, open the software update (System preferences - software update) and see if there are several updates to the system. If there is, install them all!

If you want to install a newer version of Mac OS X, then you will need to make sure that the computer has 4 GB or more of RAM (your sleeps 6GB) and then navigate to the Mac App Store and install El Capitan 10.11.1

If you continue to have problems, maybe a visit to the dealer that you buy is in order or you will need to find a CENTER in your area that can help. Apple stores won't work on a 2008, it is considered a legacy machine.

  • No operating system not found of starting problems

I understand that there are other threads covering this error message, however none with this particular set of circumstances.
Reminder: My system came with an empty msata slot that I filled with a 240 gb intel 525. I did two great patricians, loading on Windows 7 and cloning the windows installation 8 factory to another. Bios supported configuration using inherited and put my ssd as the first drive in the boot order. and as if it was magical, I could duel boot 7 & 8.
Question: when I pulled the factory 5400 RPM drive I haven't had the no OS found message. Representing a little less a perfect starting, I went into recovery and command prompt 'bootrec (FixMbr/FixBoot/RebuildBcd)' commands. All crossed very well and after the closure of the cmd prompt window that I was given the opportunity to stop and start Windows 7 ultimate to the recovery page. Convinced that he had worked I accepted this offer and was welcomed by no operating system found once again. Confused, I went back and did cmd invites new bootrec /ScanOs and again found two.

    What I forget?

Thank you in advance for something useful.

Please do not take into account. Incace anyone else have this problem, I had to use the BcdBoot commands to add files of Bcd for each partition on the disk msata.

  • 11 - k000na: problem of restart of the operating system after disk erasing

Hi there are members of the HP support forum!

I bought my product, the HP Pavillion 11-k000na, in October of last year and around in time to March this year, I found the speed of the computer to be really bad, so I decided that I do a disk cleanup and restore the computer to factory settings I've done. Restart the computer, I discovered that something has gone wrong and after many failed attempts I could not restart the operating system.

Time and time again, the laptop gives me the same error - message

    Error code 0 xC0000001

When I bought the computer it came installed with windows 8 and I've quickly updated to windows 10, would be the problem that when I restored it to factory settings, it does not know how to restart now?

Any help would be really useful thanks!

    Hello

On the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10, built in recovery partition got corrupted and will stop running more.

    How do you reset phone?

Only I know is to order for your model of HP USB recovery. Or pure 8.1 Windows update install using Windows Media creation tool. Both methods retrieve product key of activation of the Board BIOS chip, automatically and be activated.
