Optiarc BD ROM BC - 5500S does not work...

My BD/CD/DVD drive does not work because Windows cannot load the driver software. I had the computer since November and I had not had any problems since mid-February. I already tried unistalling the driver and then replace that did nothing. I tried to delete upper and lower filters that do not work also, and I tried to reset the settings of the BIOS which once was unsuccessful. The only thing that worked was restore my system to a previous point of update in which case it worked, but the next day it did not work. I would like to restore my system again, but because of the space(300mb) limited of restore points update that I can't go far enough once again to a point before this problem. This was incredibly frustrating and completely fault of windows because of the Automatic Updates installs. A solution would be much appreciated.

Please run a SFC scan on your computer, then the post back for us to share the results.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

1. click on Startand type cmd in the area to start the search.

2 right-click cmd in the programs list, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

3. at the command prompt, type the following line and press on ENTRY:

sfc/scannow

To check that you have all the current updates follow the steps below:

Click on the Start ORB

In the Search box, type Windows Update

Then this will open a new window and automatically check that there is no update is not installed on your system.

Drivers for your CD/DVD drive:

Click on the Start ORB

Then right click on computer and select Manage

In the management of the computer window double-click Device Manager

And then select your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drives by clicking once on the plus sign (+) next to her and then select your drive and right click and select Update driver software.

After update your drivers to check if your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive will now be recognized.

    The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

  • My CD-ROM/DVD-ROM does not work

    My CD-ROM/DVD-ROM does not work.  Manager of devices display a "!" on the Optiarc DVD RW AD - 756 A ATA DEVICE.
    1 device state poster (this device cannot start. (code 10)).
    2 update driver... shows that the best device driver software is already installed.
    3. it is the driver of manufacturing.
    4. I tried the microsoft fix it downloads and it has not solved the problem.

    Hope that enough information... Oh, my computer is computer laptop HP Pavilion G60-231Wm.

    Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.

    I agree with Maurice. If the drive can read a recovery media or any other bootable media there must be a hardware problem and I assume that the optical disk drive is defective.

    I have a problem with the PA3352E - 2 CD 2 CD-RW/DVD COMBO USB 2.0. A colleague is owner of this car and use it on a NB DellC610 with Windows XP on it. The problem is that the drive does not work with this type of nb (with a NB from Fujitsu-Siemens newest there no problems); There is always an error message about "surge." I think it has to do with the USB 1.1 because the player seems to be built for USB2.0. Is it possible to use this drive correctly with usb1.1 (ok, the flow is low, but more important is it works in general)? Unfortunately his nb will not work with USB 2.0...

    AFAIK this external must have a power adapter. You use it too? I'm not 100% sure, but there are difference how much power Gets the USB slot. Toshiba notebooks is around 500 my and some producers another laptops send between 300 and 500 my. The external device requires approximately 700 my.

    Have you used an external hard drive that is compatible and supported for boot from the CD?

    Whenever I register, it says sorry, an unexpected error has occurred, please try again later. I have tried at least 20 times since yesterday and it doesn't seem to work. I have them even called and they told me, the service is stopped and will be fixed this morning but yet nothing works.

    I don't think that you need to register something apart from the serial number of your laptop. But in my opinion this could also be done at the point of service.

    Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
    are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura
    ones. Also check the website of the manufacturer of the car.

  • I have a computer running VISTA. The CD-ROM/DVD-rom does not work and can not read the CD of the program that I placed in it.

    It won't read a DVD.  It will not read ANY CD or DVD.  I tried 12 different CD/DVD.  This isn't an upgrade to Vista; the computer came "made for Vista" with Vista installed on it.  I had added Nero.  I removed Nero.  I did all the updates. I have not released the driver and reinstalled.  He claims to have the latest driver software, but it won't work.  The computer can see the CD/DVD, but he calls it a 'CDROM '.  It is not the case.  It is a DVD/Cd-RW with Labelflash.

    I did everything suggested that past discussions.  I ran FIXIT program that claims that the drive works properly.  It is not the case.

    I tried to get various programs to recognize.  They cannot see the installed media.

    I uninstalled iTunes.

    Please do not give me the answer of cut-and - paste stock; It does not work.

    Please tell me what to do to make Vista see the media inserted in the CD/DVD-RW drive.

    You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation (if all goes well
    saves the data, and you need to reinstall the programs). Be sure to do a good backup or three.

    You can use another DVD that are not protected but you will need to copy you have the product key.

  • MyCD Rom does not work help!

    In Device Manager it sayes windows cannot load device for theis hardware drivers. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (code39)   I uninstalled and unplugged the computer and when I plugged it back in and turned on it says please consult the manufacturer of your device to help get this device installed I have no ideal what I do to help someone!     Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
    Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
    This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

    Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
    slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

    Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
    ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
    contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Also check with your system manufacturer to see if there are any updated drivers for your DVD. Or even if it
    are you can reinstall the 'old'. Many use Windows default drivers however some special aura
    ones. Also check the website of the manufacturer of the car.

  • DNG converter NEF with Nikon 5500 files does not work

    hope it's someone who can help me. I have a new Nikon D5500, but Lightroom 5. As it is not compatible, I use the DNG Converter to convert my NEF files to DNG, so I can use it in Lightroom 5. I converted the files two days ago, but since today the DNG Converter does not detect my NEF files in the corresponding folder.

    Also, I tried to update the compatibility mode that I have Windows 8, but even if it does not work.

    Any idea? I would appreciate answers I want to prepare the photos of my sister's wedding.

    A common mistake that you are probably aware of, is that the DNG Converter works at the FILE level. In other words, in the DNG Converter, you choose the file, but you do not open this folder. If you have selected the folder, but are still having the problem, then another consideration would be the software that was used to download the images. Some versions of Nikon Transfer seem to influence the NEF files that Adobe software cannot read. If none of these problems relate to your situation, please explain what is different about these NEF files from the previous that you were able to convert.
