Optical mouse USB drivers?

I use a Dell USB Optical Mouse, M/N M-UVDEL1, with my Dimension 4700. The mouse does not seem to be working properly. I can't find a CD for the mouse supplied with the system, and when I check the Dell site for drivers in the section of the mouse and keyboard, it does not list all (for mouse or keyboard). How can I find the driver for the mouse, or alternatively, how to improve or repair, the behavior of the mouse? Thank you.

  • For Microsoft basic mouse (USB) transmissions, are there no function ' point to a window and scroll it?

I have the following functionality with Microsoft Basic optical mouse (USB) in Win7

I have several windows open. I'll just move the mouse pointer to a single window and scroll with scroll wheel. Then, move the pointer to another window and scroll with scroll wheel. My old mouse under win XP was to have this feature.
Now with Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse I can click ON a window and scroll the content, click ON another window and scroll the content. But the point and scrolling is more convenient. Does someone can tell how it is possible with Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse? Or this function is not available?
I installed Microsoft Intellipoint 8.2 and use WIn7 Ultimate.

After trying to uninstall atalyst control C CAMD Center, I realized that I deleted my USB drivers during uninstall. What happened is that I did an uninstall Express instead of a custom uninstall. I had only to uninstall my driver display and CCC. Apparently, in this uninstall, there was an option to uninstall the so-called AMD USB filter drivers.  So, I have a computer that starts perfectly in Windows, but can not connect.

Note: The keyboard and mouse work during the Advanced Startup Menu Windows 8.1.

With this limited functionality, I tried the following:

    1. plug the mouse & keyboard in different USB 2.0 Ports & USB 3.0 Ports, but everything remained the same.

    2. I tried two different system restores. We've been when I uninstalled AMD Catalyst Control Center, and the second was on July 9, 2014. Two restorations failed due to the inability to access a Windows file.

    3. I tried to boot mode safe mode w / networking, but, oddly enough, nothing happened.

My last option is to reset my PC to factory settings - which means that I will lose 600GB of data - or attempt a repair of the BONE. However, I have HP recovery discs. I bought last fall, and they come in 4 disks. But, the recovery discs aren't for Windows 8 8.1.

My question is, is there a way to repair Windows (NOT RECOVERY, BUT REPAIR) with recovery disks despite them being for Windows 8 and 8.1 not, or I have to buy a disc of Microsoft? And if so, repair Windows will reinstall basic USB drivers for the connection?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi mclightning88,

Have you tried updating your Win 8.1 install in the Advanced Start Menu?

Here the instructions on performing this task.

If it works, you're in business. You lose third part of desktop applications and need to reinstall, but will retain the personal data.

If you recover you can also create a custom refresh image of your PC after getting it setup the way you want. When updating from your PC in the future, simply reinstall the office applications installed after the creation of the image.

You can also create a system image on an external drive whenever you like go in Control Panel - history file. Check the lower left corner of the history file for "System Image backup" dialog box.  Then, you create a Microsoft Recovery drive. The instructions are here. You can restore an image of the Win 8.1 system with the recovery disk.

There are also a lot of good third-party imaging solutions that are available.

Unfortunately you are unable to repair your installation of Win 8.1 with Win 8 HP recovery disks. If you use this method, you will lose everything. You must rebuild your Win 8 back to 8.1 Win install.

As a last resort before a factory HP restore, you should consider this option to retrieve data.

  • USB optical mouse is recognized but does not work.

I use a computer portable 64-bit of windows 8 and I have tried to use all ports.

The red light under the mouse appears upwards (the mouse is a mouse usb HP in the base address) but I'm not able to click or move.
I read the previous posts about other people with this kind of problem and checked my device manager and uninstalled all my drivers and then re them installed for the mouse, but I noticed that when I uninstall the drivers mouse and plug it in again, it installs several things; under Human Interface drivers it installs the HID-compliant device and 3 USB input devices.
It also installs "HID-compliant mouse" under "mice and other pointing devices".
Every 10-20 seconds it will make noise that indicates it is be unplugged and plugged back in and all the drivers disappear and reappear.
I tried to use another mouse that looks like this, and none of them work in my laptop. They both work in my PC and my laptop of brothers, they are both windows 7.

    Hello

As you have tried 2 other mice in all ports of the computer and both does not work, but the same mouse works in any other computer shows that the problem is with the controllers USB (universal Serial Bus) of the laptop.

I would ask you re-install Bus controllers and check if that helps.

a: press the Windows key + R, and then click on Device Manager

    b. expand the Controllers of Bus USB section by clicking on the'+' sign.

    c. Uninstall each of the devices under the section USB Controller by right-clicking on each one, and then clicking Uninstall.

    d. close the Device Manager and restart your computer. Windows RE-automatically install the USB controllers in your computer, without you having to do anything further. Your computer is now running properly USB devices.

Answer please if you have any questions.

It cannot detect any USB (same optical mouse).

  • My 2000 wireless optical mouse scroll wheel works intermittently-"mouse sigal is low."

Original title: my 2000 optical wireless mouse scroll wheel works intermittently

I recently bought a set of wireless with an optical mouse wireless 2000, office 100 wireless keyboard and a wireless desktop kit 3.1 receiver. After you have installed the drivers and the Intellitype/point than roulette software of the mouse does not work all the time, for example after clicking on my way in a 80 page PDF manual and long Web page that the wheel seems to not work in one direction, then the other way won't work. I tried new batteries, latest driver bouquet of microsoft site (intellipoint 8.01) moving to the receiver or away to "signal low mouse." Today, however, the mouse is 2-3 feet away from the receiver and it keeps popping up saying ' the mouse sigal is low you want to start the troubleshooter? Yes, I tried this and tried to move the USB without success. Can someone HELP please... Tired of drag and drop

Same problem here, but I found a way to make this work (in fact there are two ways LOL)

-Remove one of the batteries.  Believe it or not, the scroll wheel works perfectly when I remove one of the battery (any).  However, I do not know how long it will last since there isn't that one battery in operation.

    OR

-Remove the lid of dough and remove the batteries.  Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw about 2 rounds (for some reason, I think that it is screwed in too tight).  Replace the batteries and you are or that you set.

I can't guarantee that my methods will still work, but the fact is that it works for me since then.

  • Aspire mouse usb and 603G problems

    Aspire 603G, win 8.1

With the help of the optical mouse NSB

I have problems with my mouse plugged in by USB.  The mouse will panic at random and I don't know how to fix it. When I click on a link in Google Chrome, it will open several pages.  If I am in a program, XCom enemy unknown, for example and click to move, shoot, or no matter what, he'll just keep clicking.  Other programs are the same.  Sometimes, maybe 2 out of 10 times, the mouse didn't not fit which is which is clicked, then it will be * taken * upward and I'm having a crazy amount of screens open. Try closing some tabs and eventually close all cause them the mutli-random clicks mouse.  So boring.

I tried to go into the options of the mouse on the control panel and change the double click speed, but it's not helping. I moved the mouse to several usb ports and have the same problem.

Thought it was the mouse, tried 2 other different brands and having the same problem.  Tried to uninstall and don't reboot, no help.  The only problem I see is the mouse uses a default Windows driver dated 2004, but Windows Update tells me that it is the most recent.

Any help to limit what the issue is, or can be, will be appreciated.  I'm drowned in the tabs of the browser here.

  • Wired Optical mouse keeps freezing & has no lights

My wired microsoft optical mouse keeps freezing & the red light turns off. At present, it will work only after first off the entire computer & its reboot. However it only works for a few minutes.  This may be due to my 3 year old grandson disabled showing a lot of interest with small fingers in the below & red lights this afternoon. Bless!  Suggestions please?

If it flashes on and outside and dies at random... you probably need a new mouse.

Don't know what has been rough on me pointing out what is obvious.  Direct - Yes.  Probably what you end up doing - Yes.  Rude - I can't.

So, if I remember, the most expensive computer mouse was about $ 25,000 - yours is * definitely * an inexpensive mouse.  ;-)

If you want to try something before replace you... Try the mouse on another computer for a few days - it has the same difficulty?  If the answer is Yes - replace it.  If not - you probably been--but try a Different mouse on the computer in question.  Does show the same symptoms?  If so, chances are two things (the latter is more likely): 1) issue software - install the latest motherboard chipset drivers.  (2) USB port bad equipment - try a different USB port and/or get your motherboard extracted for hardware failure.
