  I'm after Satellite L500 owner inside knowledge about BIOS options. Is someone can you please tell me if there is a USB - HDD or equivalent option as I would like to be able to boot from a live linux USB from time to time.

  I want to create a captive text box and all the lines of text to the top on the left and the right, so I use the option justify the option lines.

  I would like to have a single line, such as the title, centered (or other), you can only select this line with text (Path) (on ClickDragging) and paragraph tool > focus (or other).

• Object Layer Options Question

  I just upgraded to CS6 in CS5. (I use Windows 7)

  I put a 2 layer (created Illustrator) PDF in Indesign and do only the layer 1 visible in the object layer Options (display the layers). I'm doing this in CS5 and pdf exactly stays where I put it.

  In CS6, the image moves. I need to stay put because I use 2 layer for placement.

  How can I make the pdf stay exactly where I put it after that I do a non-visible layer?

  Looks like you have picked a crop option, such as bounding box or art, which may vary with what is visible.

• Newbie on title bearing Options question

  Thanks for the research!  I created my first project and is now trying to end it with a nice rolling title. Now I can't get the title all drive faster than 2-3 seconds, how can I control how fast the title roll, and how long it begins.

  Here I want to come, please let me know if this is possible:

  1. The full title clip lasts 12 seconds
  2. Title rolls of offscreen, begins in the second and is entirely up to the screen in a stationary position for about 5 seconds (does not roll off the screen)
  3. Title is displayed for about 5 seconds, then fades to black (complete in 1-2 seconds)

  Is it possible to have as much control over a title of the bearing with Premiere Elements?

  I find that you so much more control, when the animation of titles, if they use keyframes on the fixed effect > Motion > Position (and for some, more "looks" Motion > scale too). This is done by creating a static title (do not use one of the presets) first and then drag it to the Timeline. With it is selected, click the effects tab, and then look down to the button change the effects. Click on that, and you will then have the effect controls panel. Note the fixed effects (those that are added automatically) and find the movement. It has a small triangle beside it, and you want to twirl that open, by clicking the triangle. There you will see the Position and scale.

  With keyframes, you can adjust the speed of the roll or Crawl, can start off screen, as you want, can pause a title, when it is in the center of the image, then turn off the animate (in any direction you want!). The animation is only limited by your imagination.

  Help files has good coverage of the keyframes, and Steve Grisetti has a tutorial into 3 parts (IIRC) on keyframes on Muvipix.com. I strongly recommend you to those.

  Keyframes can be used to animate most of the effects, not only fixed effects, so no learning curve is more than offset, by the power that you will earn a lot in Meadow.

• Cannot advance beyond Question Quiz

  I have a situation where a user responds to a question of the quiz, moves to the next slide, and then goes back to the slide of questionnaire, but find the answer grayed out and none of the buttons (Clear, back, Submit) functional.  The user is blocked on this page.  In my preferences settings, backward movement is allowed and all quiz questions allow infinite attempts for a failing grade. Pass mark allows the action, "Go to the next slide." The 'Required' parameter is "Optional - the user can ignore this quiz."  See the progress and display the Score at the end are not active.  This only happens when you answer the question, go forward one slide, then back to the first slide.

  No idea why it would be gray outside and buttons become nonfunctional?

  If you checked the control panel/view Advanced Interaction (F9) and those who are indeed the only one scored the objects I want to offer another tip. In our LMS sometimes marked on the last slide objects do not appear, it is why I avoid to have something marked on the last slide. For the most part, I end up with a slide of thanks or something like that, afterwards and even a very short last slide, and then the problem is solved. It is a workaround, I know.

Now, the user can turn on the amount. And then click on the button update (at the bottom of the advanced data grid). Now in the service of update, how to loop through the quantity column? • Advanced masking Question

  I'm looking for an effect, but I'm not close to what a few hours ago.

  I tried different ways to go about this, but he escaped me so far.

  According to Lieve, since you need to mark the various questionnaires separately, you must have these quizzes of CP as separate files... which, as she says, is again a requirement of SCORM.

  You could put all the CP files separate together in one package with "Mode Multi-SCO" of Captivate, but in all cases I've seen, the LMS breaks those separate lessons anyway... so you will need to use the LMS to open one, go through it, close it, had him marked, open the other by the LMS, etc..

• Sanitation - 2 attempts by Question scenario Total Workflow

  I am trying to accomplish the following with all my quiz slides - I want the user to have only 2 tries to answer the question properly before 'fault' of the issue and have to move on to the next. This is the expected result:

  Responses of the user in question #1 incorrectly. They receive an error message saying: the answer is not correct and they will be returned to review the content before you have a second chance to answer the question. They returned to the slide designated to review the content and then returned to the question #1 to try once more. If the user answers correctly, they receive a success message and proceed to the next question. If they do not respond properly again the Incorrect popup should appear saying you did not properly issue goes wrong and they advance to question #2.

  So far, that I had no chance with this project as sanitation is out of the box – I guess because the 'Action' to the level of failure is specific to the last attempt, so even if I say I want the user to have both tests it performs only the action "jump to slide" after the second attempt.

  Based on the following parameters, here is what I am experiencing:

  

  Responses of the user in question #1 incorrectly. They get immediately try to answer again. If incorrect second time it goes back to review the content when it is up to the user of the issue is allowed two attempts to answer correctly before they are returned to examine new lide content - it's basically putting them into an infinite loop of the question "Leap of drag" and return to the issue until they get the correct question. Even if I set the value of 'Attempt' to 1 under the Action of properties Quiz always shut up again and again until the answer to the question correctly. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

  Also, I guess that sanitation does not work when you use "Partially Correct" option, since then a question with multiple answers where only is selected by the user is not technically 'incorrect' and it advances to the next slide. Thoughts?

  Ok.  I think I understand your question better now.  You want a different action on the first attempt of the last attempt.  The first time that the user gets the question wrong you want to that they be bypassed the slide of sanitation, but the second time to continue the quiz.

  I agree that it is a use case that Captivate could do with adding. I see no obvious way to do this currently.  Captivate allows to access the slide of sanitation on the last attempt, but it does not give you choices separate action on each attempt.  What needs to be added is the ability to perform different actions for each level of failure.  I suggest that you connect to an improvement for her request.

  Hi all

  Long time lurker, first time poster. I hope someone can help me.

  After watching this excellent video about adobe captivate blog "so what were the right answers in any case" I created a quiz with user variables and conditional early action. It displays a red x next to each question answered correctly at the end of the quiz.

  • I created the variable user for each question to a value of 0. On an incorrect answer, the variable would be set to 1.
  • At the end of the quiz is a blade that question and shows a red cross next to each question with a variable set to 1. uses conditional action that is triggered 'upon entry.

  It works, but my problem is when I saw the quiz (in the browser or SWF), on an incorrect answer, the legend of the failure appears but does not really advance the question when I click anywhere or press o. It works well on the correct answers.

  Can I sovle this by adding a next button, but I'd like to understand what I'm doing wrong.

  I tested this workflow on 6.1.319 and it works fine. If a little guess in the wild... No 6.0.1.240 around at the moment. Seems strange, because a simple action like your Assign action should normally release the read head. But of course, it's a question slide and they do not always behave as expected. Could you try to replace the action of the beneficiary by a standard tip with 2 statements, like this action:

  • Assign the var_question_1 with 1
  • Continue

  And please, let me know if it works? This could be a difference between the two versions, but not sure at all.

  1 I used a service tech, as a gift, the Dec23/10 online. Problems occurred during the 5 hour session. PC was going well in advance.

  2 on PC Dec25 would not start. Operating system not found message that appears. Used F8, last known 5 times and it no longer works. Put into service on battery 4 times. It no longer works.

  3 a written tests HP for operating system not found {but was for XP and WIn2000}, with drive to test the hard drive. Message adjustment but

  other areas didn't have so not.

  4 related to Vista and Win 7. It's for the boot drive address not found Error Message.

  This message comes not so much waited and did as below.

  5 performed a full scan on MBAM, program no. threats 6 Ran Reimage and 2800 + corrupt or missing files found and repaired. This did not help and used the battery when you restart.

  7 when the open PC Windows updates were parties and 71 had to be installed. Had to use battery or reboot.

  8 new updates have shown, once again. Installed 8 and 1 failed. {Windows PowerShell 2.0 and 2.0 WNRM, optional}.  Could not start on more then ran battery test the boot drive HP fix error.  Test the Test of the Bios and the hard disk does not appear to work correctly according to the instructions, but normally open when you restart PC. I'm afraid to stop PC again.

• How to get generated automatically the primary key to create procedure

  I have a service of physical data corresponding to a table named ACCOUNT. The primary key on the table is called ACCOUNT_ID. There's a trigger on the database which generates the primary key value and adds it during an insert. I would like to have this primary key value returned by the procedure of creation of physical data service. Any ideas on how this can be done? Thanks in advance.

  Click the column which is filled from the sequence.

  In the Properties tab (bottom window), under general, for automatic numbering, click the 'Value' column, select sequence. You get a noise on some things have changed, just click OK. With AutoNumber = sequence setting, this column appears as optional (question mark).

  Just below that, for purpose of sequence, type the name of the sequence (you can also specify MYSCHEMA. In case the sequence SEQUENCE_NAME is under another schema).
