    Hi guys

I have the Virtual Machine that will be used as a Windows 2008 Cluster

Being my iSCSI SAN I am assigning LUNS to my Virtual Machine is the thing the initial setup in disk management is as below

    Initial configuration
    Disc 1 - data - E
    Bus n ° 0, Target Id 0, LUN 0
    Disc 2 - newspapers - F
    Bus n ° 0, Id, target 1, LUN 0
    Disc 3 - BK - G

    Disc 4 - TempDB - H
    Bus n ° 0, Id target 3, LUN 0
    Disc 5 - Quorum - Q
    Bus n ° 0, 4 target Id, LUN 0

But after I reload my disk management is messed up like this

    After the reboot

    After the reboot

any ideas guys how do I solve this problem?

    Thank you very much

I don't think you can 'fix' it.  Since the drive letters are correct, I worry the real disk ID #.   The order comes from the order in which they were connected.

  • Oracle 11g client install on crashes windows 2008

    Greetings,

I'm trying to reinstall the client of Oracle 11 g on a Windows 2008 R2 Ent. Server and the installation hangs on the back windows where the last message is:

    From Oracle Universal Installer...

Monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors greater than 256.    65536 real past
Preparations for the launch of Oracle Universal Installer from c:\temp\2\OraInstall2012-07-19_12-04-18PM. Please wait...

At this point it just hangs.
Is there a setting I'm missing?
I cleaned up the previous installation (directories etc., after you run the deinstall script)

The installActions log file under c:\temp\2\OraInstall < timestamp > display just the first two lines above.
The installation program creates a < single value > dd_vcredist under c:\temp .txt file that contains the following lines at the end, it seems to stop at this point always.

Direct installation of R12 on Windows 2008 64 bit is not supported. You install it on a Windows 32-bit operating system, and then migrate to Windows 64 - bit.

I read the articles, that is to say http://www.Boche.net/blog/index.php/2010/03/28/Windows-2008-R2-and-Windows-7-on-vSphere/ , on VMware Tools now including a video driver to work for 2 k 8 R2.  I'm under ESXi 4 U1 with all the patches, but when I install a new virtual machine that is running R2 and install VMware Tools, I don't see the folder C:\Program VMware Tools\Drivers\wddm_video that I can upgrade the driver to.  In fact, I see not all records related to drivers.  What Miss me?  Is there any place I can download the drivers from outside VMware tools?

    Hello.

I don't see the folder C:\Program VMware Tools\Drivers\wddm_video can I upgrade the driver to.

This is the wrong path.  It is located in "C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\VMware\Drivers\wddm_video"

  • Oracle 9.2.0.8 on windows 2008 R2 64-bit client installation

    Dear expert database;

for specific needs, we need to install a client 9.2.0.8 to have connectivity with various databases.

As I am a beginner in Oracle, can you tell me if it's good?

1st part of client install Oracle 9.2.0.1 full (in architecture 32 or 64 bits?)

    2. install the patches 9.2.0.8 Group (in the same architecture as the first installation)

    3. install Patch 30 with O-Patch

I have a lot of problems to find good sources for the OS/Architecture (windows 2008 R2 64-bit) version, I'm not sure that the old version of Oracle can be installed on this configuration.

Can someone help me and tell me that it is possible to do?

  • Connect to the server, Oracle, 11.2.0.1.0, Windows 2008

There are two Windows 2008 Server: SIGA (database server), SIMBA (application server).

On GIS, Oracle 11.2.0.1.0 database has been installed. It's tnsnames.ora reads as follows. Execution "TNSPING SIGA" works very well. TNSNAMES is used to resolve the name.

    GIS =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = SARABI.lionsland.local.de)(PORT = 1521))
    )
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVICE_NAME = ORCL))
    )

The SIMBA, Oracle Client 11.2.0.1.0 has been installed. It's the tnsnames.ora is identical to the above. Running "PING SIGA" works very well. The name is resolved to 192.168.1.201. However, execution 'TNSPING SIGA' fails "12535 TNS Timeout". The track is given below. I don't understand where is the problem.

  • Oracle 12 c Standard Edition on Windows 2008 R2 64 bit 12.1.0.1.0

I have a funny problem here. I installed on Windows Standard edition 12 c and I can connect without any problems by using the command prompt or SQL Developer. The problem I am facing is that, after some time, I can't create a new connection and I am getting a timeout in SQL Developer or nothing happens by using the command line. Connections I created before work always and I see that the database is available - I can run queries in SQL Developer old sessions and everything seems to be there. If I take the database using windows services, then I can create new sessions, reconnect and everything works well. It is the first time I see something like that. Is there something I need to put? A kind of connection pool or something similar.

    Thanks in advance,

We have Oracle database 10.2.0.1 server is installed on Windows 2003 R2. We plan to move 10.2.0.1 using RAC installation on new hardware (if any) on Windows 2008 R2. All I can find metalink is-
"Oracle database release EVERYTHING yet not been certified with Windows 2008 R2"

I wanted to know if I'm right about that. Your help is appreciated. THX.

That is right. No Oracle software is currently certified on Windows 2008 R2. And there will be only a 10 gr 2 to the client version (10.2.0.5 Server version), first support will be 11 GR 2.

    Hello

    Thanks for the replies.

    The problem has been resolved.

due to unzip the software in the longest trail, we got this error.

    Solution:

We tried to unzip the software using 7zip.

and unpacked the software to drive direct c (shortest path as C:\BPM\)

Then I tried to run the setup.exe file, it worked very well...

Once again thank you for their support.
