Order of drivers?

I was given a V2030us compaq Presario laptop with a hard drive dead after I replace the HARD drive and reinstall Win XP Home there at - it a particular order, the drivers must be installed?

the chipset driver is your video and some ethernet

But if you have the HP disc which is the restore disc

who will restore your computer since you bought it

or from manufacturing specifications

so the restore disc has all the necessary drivers for your computer

He will restore the rest

But if you have just the disk on windows OS it is another

to install once you got your operating system updated to the

the drivers you should have burn the drivers on your drive

and install from there

    Hi HP experts...

I want to do a clean install of my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and I've always used my recovery disks when it was necessary to format and subsequently updated all the drivers in the support section and drivers HP, but it is a slow process, and I'm not even in what order I should update drivers when it that way or the other , and often a message jumped ud saying ' the driver is not properly installed - try again or the driver is installed correctly. But as mentioned, I want to do a clean install with my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit disk and would like some experts advise on order in which drivers must be installed. Can anyone help?

    Best regards hpenvy1

    Hello:

The order generally recognized installation of the driver is:

1 install the chipset driver and restart.

    2. install the graphics driver and restart.

    3. install the audio driver and restarted.

    4 install the ethernet driver.

    5. install the wireless driver.

Then you can install a driver you want.

I also do a practice to update to the latest service pack before installing the drivers, if any.

    Hello

Recently I get this message as the computer freezes momentarily and then recovers.

"Display driver AMD driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

I checked the support for Dell drivers and received conflicting results.

When I checked with the help of system analysis, it gave me a list of the 54 system-wide updates. How could it be possible?

When you use the label of my service, I got the following result:

ADMIN NOTE: maintain the label removed by privacy policy >

Don't you think that's what I use, and if yes, can you tell me who I should first put to date? Finally, what I have to uninstall the old drivers and update via the Device Manager?

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Jane

54 updates is not necessary. You should only update a driver to correct a specific problem. You don't need to remove the video card driver before installing a newer version.

I want to do a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) and I wanted to ask if there is a * installation order * for drivers for laptop (which goes first, second etc) after the Installation of Windows.

    Thank you!

    Hello

There is no special Mount for Win 7 command.
You simply start with the common drivers such as graphics card, LAN, WLan, touchpad etc.
Then, you must install the utilities and first of all, you should start by VAP (value added package)

During an upgrade to windows windows 8.1 8, that it appears from questions, as updating the drivers is essential.

    so the question is:

Install the drivers updated after the upgrade, correct?

All the drivers, firmware or other updates that are expected to return before the upgrade?

is there a specific order, the drivers must be installed?

First, try the Windows updates before installing Windows 8.1.

    Then Firmware upgrades if available

    Then Windows update 8.1

Updates then pilot and other updates.

  • Satellite C50D-A-13R and WIn7 - problem of USB 3.0

Hello, can pls somebody help me on this:

I expelled Win 8.1 portable a.m.. and installed Win 7 Home Premium SP1 instead.
Everything went smoothly so far, but the USB 3.0 driver:
It is always marked with exclamation in the devicemanager.
I had downloaded all THE 34 drivers/utilities for Win7 and installed them, of course, the USB3-pilot data, too.
    but still, this tenacious thing...
    Can anyone advice on this?

BTW: is there a certain sequence/order these drivers/utilities need to be installed?
And if so, why are there no clue on the download page?
And another thing: for some devices are two different drivers being given, how do I know which is the correct?
And finally: How can I disable the touchpad?

Thank you very much in advance for your help...
    IsNis

    > is there a certain sequence/order these drivers/utilities need to be installed?
This installation order is present to win 8.1 and you will find on the page of the driver Toshiba UE (installation instructions)
It seems that these setup instructions for Win 7 are not available.

    > And another thing: for some devices are two different drivers being given, how do I know which is the correct?
Check the device that is present in your model of laptop.
How to do? The procedure is described here:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

    > And last not least: How can I disable the touchpad?
You must install the driver of pad touch (Alcor and Synaptics)
Then, you can use the Fn + F5 function key to enable or disable the touchpad.
You can also disable the touchpad go to Panel of-> mouse-> device pointing (or Advanced tab). In the settings (or properties), you will find the touchpad options and also the ability to disable the pointing device internal.

    Regarding USB 3.0
Laptop Satellite PSCGWE C50D-A-13R supports the AMD chipset. As a result, AMD USB 3.0 driver must be installed.
Next to the installation of the AMD USB 3.0 driver, the AMD/ATI display driver should be installed since such driver contains also the AMD chipset driver files.

  • HP Probook s 4540: fingerprint reader does not

    Hello

Problem: fingerprint - Windows journal reader under does not have the ability to connect via the fingerprint reader.

Overview: after installing the drivers of the fingerprint on the HP site and thanks to the HP protection tools to register successfully to fingerprints, I tried to log in via this method, but the Windows Connect screen does not display this option. Device Manager correctly identifies and shows the fingerprint sensor - however, the Control Panel does no detection of biometric devices.

I really need help with this problem. Details of what steps I took trying to make the scanner work are given below.

    Specs:

    1) 4540 probook s

    (2) Windows 7 64 bit

    (3) i5 - 3210 m, 1 GB Hd 7650 m, 4 GB at 1333 Mhz, 750 GB 5400 RPM, VFS 491 fingerprint reader.

Details of the problem and the steps of my work to install the drivers:

After a new installation of Windows 7, I went on the site of HP driver to download the latest drivers for Probook s 4540:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5229457&...

I installed the drivers in roughly in this order:

    drivers ethernet controller 1) realtek.

    drivers audio 2),

    (3) the chipset and USB 3.0 drivers (but not the Intel MEI driver)

    (4) Intel video driver: a problem such that the pilots were not allowed to install. After you disable switchable graphics in the bios, I was able to get these drivers to install.

    (5) AMD video drivers: installed after graphic driver intel HD - installed but Catalyst Control Center was not displayed. Then I reactivated switchable graphics in the BIOS, re-installed these drivers and CCC was now available.

    (6) support for HP keyboard shortcut

    (7) HP Universal camera driver

    (8) fingerprint sensor fingerprint validity

    (9) Synaptics Touchpad driver

    (10) Atheros wifi & bluetooth

    (11) Jmicron card reader

After driver installation, I installed the HP protection tools. According to request a reboot of the PC, which I did-, he asked for the setting up security etc... Part of this pocess was the registration of fingerprints - successful. However, log off / restart of windows, an option to connect with the fingerprint reader does not appear in the Windows login screen.

I open the control panel and found there wasn't that no biometric device only tab, even if the Device Manager showed biometric sensor, device and validity (VFS 491). I then uninstall HP protect tools and driver validity sensor fingerprint, and made sure that these services are running:

    -Credential Manager

    -Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

    DCOM Server process Launcher-

    RPC end point mapper-

    -Windows Biometric Service

    Plug-and-Play

Then as suggested in another post on the forum, I installed first of all this:http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55109.exe , then the drivers of the validity of 4540 s drivers page, then HP protection tools.

After the reboot HP protect tools as before to register my fingerprints, but still no windows login prompt came to connect with fingerprints. However, a change after installtion of http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55109.exe that has been in Control Panel it is now a tab for biometric devices. However, it is said that windows did not find it all installed biometric devices. A picture is attached showing the Device Manager and Control Panel!

Please HP offer a solution. Thank you!

OK problem solved. I don't know if it is related to the HP windows 7 system essential updates driver installation and Intel MEI or not - but I install these.

What has really worked probably was it - > install the drivers of fingerprint and then the HP protection tools. Once rebooted, open HP tools protect, then return to the administration in the lower right corner-> the administration Console-> increase of security system-> tick windows login security and your done. Now, you will be able to connect through fingerprints registered.

  • No wireless connection in network connections

I did a clean install of Windows XP.  I ran all the updates.  There is no wireless connection in my network connections.  I looked on the microsoft website without success for a download of this connection.  How can I get it so I can use my wireless to my router.  I have a Linksys WPC54G and use a Dell Inspiron 8600.  XP Service Pack 3 is installed.

If you did a clean install of Windows (as opposed to 'restore to factory conditions'), you must reinstall all the drivers for your hardware.  Windows XP includes some basic drivers, that's why you are able to start Windows, but you need the drivers for your specific hardware.

Go to http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?c=us&l=en&s=dhs and enter your Dell Service's number.

  • T60 RANDOMLY does not connect to the internet when you start

One fine day this machine just stopped to connect to the Internet, either wired or wireless. I think it was a windows XP update that caused the problem

Made it work again by loading the updated drivers:

    1.60 power management

HotKey features - forget press release #, but he was later

    Login to 5.62

Where possible I have uninstalled these files before installing the new versions

Reinstalled the NIC drivers, noting that the most recent driver wireless is a not supports the network card in my T60 and decommissioning accordingly by the .txt file that accompanied the latest version

    Everything works, sort of.

But if I stop and then perform a boot cold it does not connect (wired or wireless). When this happens, you know because at startup login manager tells me it could not connect. If I do a reboot it will connect (99% of the time).

I can close the lid and go in standby mode (hibernation is disabled) and when he returns he will connect (if it linked before)

And then sometimes even on a reboot it connects, but a subsequent reboot seems to work

    Any ideas?

    (1) what the order the drivers are loaded, and how I change that

    (2) could be a sign that the battery needs to be replaced?

I have a mint-fresh Win XP SP 3 on my PC. All available Win updates downloaded and installed.

Printer Dell is #2 in my list to be installed (#1 was Adobe Reader), that is, I do not expect without conflicts.

    I downloaded and unpacked R146832.exe,

    It does not automatically

When I run the SETUP file, it comes through 3 windows and stalls on the 4th,

    Here's what it looks like

    Connect your printer

In order to continue the installation, your printer must be connected using the USB cable.

Connect all the cables to your printer, and then turn on the power.

Note: installation will not continue until you connect the USB cable to the printer and your computer.

    Back next cancel

This window gives the same message, no matter if the printer is connected to the computer or is not.

I have 4 ports USB (2 front, 2 back), and I tried each one,

those on the front I use several times a day (USB key, Kodak camera, camcorder JVC).

those in the back are used by external hard drive and printer Canon,

that is all the USB ports are good.

To exclude a mechanical problem, I tried the Canon printer USB cable (a lot of work).

I also tried to run this CONFIGURATION file via the Windows Start menu.

In all cases, the NEXT button remains inactive, and Setup stops.

  • Aurora - Council MIO in brick?

Recently did a BIOS update to A11, and DELL-Chris M could talk me through a few problems of memory, stick, thanks.  Shortly after my only installed HARD drive died.  Upgrading to an SSD and an additional memory while I was home.  Fresh installation of Windows 7, following an order of drivers I found out Alienware Arena forum I think.  Hadn't gotten deep into Tesla1856 positions again, stupid me.

Problem - at one point that my MIO card seems to have stopped working.  After reading many, many jobs Tesla1856 (very useful, thanks for all the efforts you have put in) I think I might have bricked it by installing the command center off my disk resource (to February 2010) and then upgrade to the current CC 2.8.9.  Probably should have shocked the MIO before the new installation of W7, but had not yet seen the advice of Tesla.

Current state of computer - well boots, fan works very hard all the time.  CC opens but all time and fan speed see the zero.  I tried the power resets and the withdrawal and replacement of the MIO USB connector.  MIO has an orange light, but he died immediately after stopping, I remember holding the light for a while when I was doing all the memory, bios troubleshooting.   BIOS seems to be unable to locate the MIO card.

Tried using the 32-bit diagnostics Alienware my resource drive, but he does not see MIO or lights or anything either.

1 - use the 32 bit my correct resource drive diagnostics?  I don't think that I have a partition more since I did a clean install on new hard drive.

2 - the only 'unknown' device in my device manager is a USB of something.  I only have my monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected, I suspect that the unknown is the jury MIO on USB1.  its okay?  And only CC provides drivers so if uninstalling/reinstalling CC does not do the trick, no luck?

3 - I tried the troubleshooting that I could find in favorites of Tesla185h, at least what I understood and could have access to all.   removal and replacement of the USB of the MIO card are "reset"?

4 - my main question is, making another fees would install Windows 7 and this time having the unplugged MIO and goes directly to the last CC rather than to install one off my original disc of resources likely to help?  or I'm probably looking for a jury of bricks MIO?

5 - Finally, resembles a MIO Board is ~ $100 new dell or $30 used from various online sources, anyone have experience?

After almost bricking my motherboard do the update of the bios, find 2 bad slots for memory cards (using 4 now vice 6), with a matrix of hard drive completely, all within ten days; I'm a little wary to enter for yet another party, there again, not sure I want to go through the hassle of reinstalling the MIO card to have an opportunity an of again soon.

And frankly, I think I'm ready to spend $30 or 100 just to avoid having to do a fresh install of Windows.  I think that there are 250 or so various updates between W7, office, etc.

At least my computer works now starts, Bios A11 works; but with fans all running all the time, is not a long-term solution, of course.

I'm really trying to understand if there is no operation troubleshooting more to do before ordering a replacement MIO card.

Thank you for advice or assistance.

You have an Aurora aka Aurora R1 (x 58 chipset)

0 - this is bad. It should work.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/Owners-Club/Alienware/f/3746/t/19454040.aspx

1 - Yes, but the download-able version may be newer

    2. it's bad (I think the MIOs bricks look this way)

    3. No, do not reset. It prevents Windows to do it's hardware initial detection on this subject.

4 - if detected in diagnostic (outside of Windows) equipment, sometimes the second Clean-Install work correctly. Weird, but true.

5 - parts are always a gamble. Vendors claim that everything works fine. Sometimes Yes, sometimes no.

6 - another bet on this system. I would have stayed on the A09.
