P6510F: p6000

Hello, after upgrading to Windows 10 my computer worked for several days without any problem. The other day I went to use and he got stuck on a blue screen that says "select keyboard layout" and contained what seems to be languages very various. I couldn't use my mouse and my keyboard.

After restarting my computer, I rebooted again and one of the "function key" pressed and it has a diagnostic screen. The first two tests passed, but the third test failed and said something like BIOHD-8 error calling HP Support and backup of your data.

I had a tech running some software on the disc, but he says he tried 3 different applications and could find no data. I wonder if there are other options for recover my data or is it lost?

Second, if the data is lost I need to buy a new hard drive to get the computer up and running again or I'll better just buying a new computer?

DRM for any help!

Hi there @lbrannon,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that your computer did not start correctly and that you have run the diagnosis and it failed on at least one of the tests. A technician tried to recovering data from your hard drive, but none were present.  Looking for help to try to recover the data on the hard drive. I'm happy to help you with this.

OK first of all, what was exactly the error reported on the third try, that you mentioned?

As the recovery you ask, it depends on what this technology is already. Some services are out there who can do essentially legal recovery, using a mixture of hardware and software to replicate the device in conditions, but it is very expensive. It is common to take the path of the recovery tools data by the hard drive manufacturer, which is probably one of the things that tech already tried. So, it is always possible that the data could be recovered? Yes, it is, but if common tools finding nothing, then you're going to look at several extreme methods, which are more expensive and there is still no guarantee.

Now, to get your computer and run again, again it depends on the error you got. If it is purely a hard drive error, then you can try another HDD compatible, and if you have a recovery image to reinstall the original image. Of course, a new computer is always an option for you, but it boils down to what you prefer.

Please let me know how it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

    Hello

According to Corsair, the DIMMs that you chose is detected only at 1600 mhz, which is not in the specifications published by HP.

You can roll the dice on the DIMMs that you chose, but I wouldn't recommend that buy you them until you contact Corsair and get a confirmation.  Computers HP can be very finicky with DIMMs, especially if you try to mix them with other DIMM modules.  If you do buy these bars and want to be them mixed with the existing DIMMs, then make sure the timings of latency CASE corresponding information validated HP. Also mix DIMM sizes will cause the memory function in unbalanced mode that adversely affect the performance of the memory.

You should be able to make your own decision on whether to roll the dice.

  • HP Pavilion P6000 series (MN: p6710cs-m)

    Hi guys

I have some problems with this desktop computer. This PC is 1.5 years. I bought an external graphics (GV-R725O5-2gi), but the new GC will not work. I ran the card on an old PC of 5 year with maybe end of 1 PCIe slot that it runs. I have suspected that the card is broken. Stock of 300W power supply, I changed to new 450W. Next step was instalation of the HW on the motherboard, then turn on the PC. This card has no external power supply. The fan on the card works. The PC does not beep ani signals but the screan is black and the PC is no W7 boot. I also have an old (Inno3d GF 7300GS) card for testing. I don't know what interface PCIe gen is the GF 7300 GS but the amd's PCIe Gen 3. The PC works and the start-up of W7 with the GF 7300 GS. I chcked the BIOS for Setup, but it is bad for the config. I turn off power save mode or something like that enable this opt: pic.  My first idea was compatibility question maybe update BIOS version. But when the GF 7300 GS runs that the BIOS is not the problem I think. It is possible that I have to upgrade the BIOS? my version of the bios (2.10.1206) and the site of product extra have a new version (7.15 A Rev. 3.02 M).  Slot PCIe on the PC is 16 X, but the card is only 8 X I have search for PCIe compatibility issues, but CESP 1 standard to the most recent must be compatible. In some cases the PCIe 1 may have some problems. You can put a 3 PCIe Card in a PCIe 2 motherboard and it wil run. Here is the motherboard spec. I think that this configuration should work but I don't know where is the problem. I don't know what to do.  I also read a coment in this forum that the older generation of AMD cards worked well on HP Pavilion P6000 serias. Can you help me???

    PEAK.

    Thanks, Ervin

Based on specifications, your HP p6710cs is four years old and has a PCIe Gen 2.0 x 16 slot. The card you are trying to use is that GEN 3.0 PCIe may require a mother UEFI based that supports a certain level of specification. Please try to older pre-R7/R9 map as the HD 6000 / 7000 series.

    Hello

Consult thispublication of documentfor general information on the selection of a video card.

I would not recommend an upgrade of the processor until you install a new video card.  Upgrading the CPU may be an unnecessary expense.

The P6000 PC has only a power supply 250 watt so that will have to be replaced.  I would look at the Corsair CX600 because it has the power and the appropriate physical dimensions.

Ultra settings can be a little complicated depending on the game.  I use the NVIDIA GTX 460 with some modern games (COD, BF3 and HAWX 2) with parameters utra without problems.  Right now, I recommend the Sapphire HD 6870.  The 6870 is better than the 460, so you shouldn't have any problems.

  • Exchange of energy supply a m9350f to a p6000

I want to add the hard drive of a m9350f p6000 unit.

Power supply(5188-2625) of the p6000 doesn't have enough connectors, so I would take the

power of the m9350f(5188-2862) and replace it.

The p6000 will accept this power? If so, there other things to do to achieve this?

    Thanks in advance,

    You are welcome.

If the DVD and hard drive are both connected now, disconnect them and use the 'Y' to connect the new drive.  You would make two cables one.

If the p6000 POWER supply does not have so much power, the Exchange would be better.

  • HP pavilion p6000: memory upgrade

Have a Pavilion p6000, SN MXX0490MHH, product # BT543AA #ABA.  Provided 4 x 2 GB with 8 GB of ram installed on the chips.  Operating system is Windows 8.1.  Upgrade to 16 GB and bought 4 x 4 GB DDR3 1333 MHz, DIMM parts.  Does not seem to accept the new memory.  Question: Is this good memory, and this system will support 16 GB.

    Hello

Explain what "is not except" means. Windows is not except the new memory or the BIOS does not recognize the memory or the PC does not start with the new memory?

We cannot answer your question, given the information you have posted.  You can certainly search the forum for others who may or may not have success the upgrade of your particular PC model to 16 GB.

Try to clear the CMOS memory. If this does not solve the problem then test each one dimm at a time.  Don't forget, with the former PC HP DIMMs need to be a game.

Try this memory bootable Diagnostics CD. Download memtest86 iso file and burn the disk using Imgburn.

Memtest86 4.20 more Installer USB.  Test each dimm one at a time then as a complete set.

  • No Pavilion P6000 desktop no signal to follow after the lightning

I had a lightning which has taken on my desktop HP P6000 computer.

    The model number is QN641AA.

It would not be a signal to the screen. I left the power cord DVI on the graphics card to the motherboard DVI port and it worked for a few minutes.

I replaced the motherboard with a modernized one and a new graphics card. The renovated is not the same, there a few more places to plug things in exacptly. It is supposed to be compatible and it's HP.

I also replaced the processor with a new since I damaged the old a. He has been blocked for the cooling fans and I broke 2 pins.

I don't always get a signal. The hard drive is running, I can hear it. There are no beeps and no lights on the keyboard.

    Any ideas?

I took it to a computer store. The guy he just tested and said that it's a bad mother "renovated".

He said he gets a lot of people bringing them after that that they install 'renovated' mothers purchased online to E - Bay.

He said he thinks he gets as much is because online sellers made test used motherboards that they sell as "refurbished". They just plug in the power outlet and if the LED lights, they say, it's OK.

  • I had a computer with a dead HDD p6510f so I thought the upgrade also.

HP pavilion p6510f, Win 7, 4 GB of ram with a dead hard drive. I thought to upgrade the Athlon II X 4 630 to a Phenom II X 6 1045T at the same time to get more power calculation, but for the money I am better doing a map of graffiti instead? I'm not a gamer but do a lot with the video and it's a little slow. I also plan to go with a 32 or 64 GB of SSD to put the operating system and a 500G to 1 t hard drive to store data. How can I get the xtra power for additional components connectors?

    se77,

A simple reading of the plug on the upgrade of processor p6510f reflects no Pheom II X 6 support: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02153181

But you could add more RAM motherboard.

As Danjen said, the addition of a new graphics card will require a new higher power PSU.

  • HP P6510f: updated USB 1.1 to USB 2.0

Can someone tell me how to get (if possible) a card to upgrade my 1.1, USB 2.0 Port. My computer is a Pavilion P6510f. I'm having a hard time finding this info. Anyone know if the USB adapter is connected to the motherboard? Thanks in advance. Ray

The P6510f has 2 USB ports in the front.  The back has 2 USB 1.1 for the keyboard and the mouse, and 4-port USB 2.0 data. I would surmise the 2 fronts are USB 2.0, but you can test the speed of data with the same USB key or USB port from any rear USB 2.0 with HD Tune 2.55 version (freebie).

  • Updating BIOS for P6000

Is there an updated BIOS updated to the Pavilion 6000 series?

And if so, how do you know which model I have? (6071 in 6085 and what important...)

    Hello ShawnyD,

There is no update of the BIOS for the series Pavilion P6000 from what I can tell. You can always find any driver updates are available directly from HP by visiting this link.
    http://goo.GL/7HKZw

That being said, it doesn't seem to be much difference this time for what model you like they have all the same drivers.

Sometimes it may be important because there are always a few subtle differences between versions (there must be a reason to make a new version isn't here!).

On your case, you should have a label and the label must include information such as your model number. On some machines, it is on the other side is on the back or even some place on top.

Check out this link to help find the label and then to identify the model number.

    Hello

I noticed that HP Partsurfer shows only 95 watts as replacement processors processors.

You will have a reasonable chance of getting one of these processors AMD AM3 nested 95 watt to the work which lies in upgrading processors listed by HP.

AM3 Sockets have been known to have an excellent compatible with AMD processors.  Some of the top processors might still work but know what's the return policy before buying anything.
