Pavilion dv6-6c12ea Blu Ray 3D playback?

I have a notebook dv6-6c12ea with processor AMD A6 and Radeon HD 7690 M/Radeon HD 6520 G it play 3D Blu Ray? Thank you.

Use your HDMI connection, if you do not, then you are out of luck. It has also been said you need HDMI 1.4 and most are 1.3.

Certainly go ahead and try it, you're not going to hurt what it is, it will work either, or it will not.

  • Dv6 - 3217CL: DV6 - 3217CL Blu Ray Playback Choopy now

So I will add to woes for Blu Ray playback. This laptop can play Blu Rays without any problem. After a motherboard failure and replacement, the video playback is now rough at best. It read DVDs without problem but the Blu Ray performance is terrible. I ran all the updates maintenance, windows updates, driver check and everything I can find to fix with still very poor performance. I even upgraded to 10 Windows but has nothing to solve that I did a reinstall full of Windows 7 which is come with, then all the updates.

What has changed that causes this? I even tried an external player Blu Ray I know works but again, playback choppy on this machine. It contains 8Gb of ram max that says less than 4 GB can be used which is strange given his Win7/64 Although the BIOS has apparently locked the other 4 GB of ram. He didn't use to do so. BIOS version is F.29

I used this machine for the trip to the death of the MB (video chip overheated and failed).  After I fixed with replacing MB, as shown, playback jerky Blu Rays only. Thoughts or ideas?

I finally thought to it. It was one of the two memory DIMMS was not inserted completely. It was close, very close but not quite. The index was impossible memory as oppened to the installed memory. Playback now works perfectly.

    Hello:

I can't find any specs on that you bought it from memory.

Your PC will run from 8 GB of memory, but you must be careful as to what memory you select.

You must get the PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) memory and it must be of low density.

You can't get PC3-10660 or PC3-10666 memory and cheap will be high density and will not work in any case in your laptop.

You can see this related posts with someone who had the same problem, and when he bought the good memory, his problem was gone.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/hardware-upgrades-replacements/dv6t-3000-RAM-upgrade/m-p/2492127#M17965

I think you bought PC3-12800 memory and this is probably the high density - two bad things.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-1277el blue screen and disk hard error 303

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1277el with Windows 7 installed. For some time the laptop crashed several times with blue screens until one day windows no longer starts or is is stuck on the loading screen.

I used an Ubuntu live CD to backup data to the HARD drive of the laptop on an external drive, but after that transfer a large amount of data that I received a warning ON impending drive failure due to reassign areas.

Restarting the laptop I received the following message from the HP auto test:

    Hard drive 1 fast (303)
    Hard drive 1 full (305)

The strange thing is that, after the first time that I had these messages, Windows rebooted to work without any problem and I've never had any blue screen again.

What should I do? Anyway to change my HARD drive or her trust?

    Thank you

    Hello new solvayhütte.

Probably, he continues to work because it detects a problem with the drive.  However, the reader may not be totally dead immediately.  So now is the time to get ALL the data that you want out of the disc before it goes bad.

You have two options currently.  You can replace the drive hard yourself (it is not difficult) or contact HP for a repair.

To replace the drive hard yourself, you can use your notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide for instructions on disassembly of the laptop.  There are also specifications stating the hard drive inside your laptop.  Use this information to buy a new hard drive and compatiable.

If you do not want to replace the drive yourself, you can contact HP and inquire about a repair.  If you are within the United States or the Canada you can call to the 1-800-474-6836.  However, if you are outside this area, you will need to go to the HP support site for the contact information for your region.

I hope that this information has been useful.  Have a great day!

  • My 2 months, Hp pavilion dv6 3131tx crashes / freezes during playback of movies, music or using the internet

Heya, this problem is annoying me a lot since 2 weeks, my new (2 months) pavilion dv6 hangs / freezes on the music, video and all using internet. I tried a lot of things I started with my media players, I use itunes, windows media player and vlc. they all had the same problem, so I don't think that's the problem. My second step was installing all drivers and updates of windows and hp advised me. It took forever because im living in a campus of colleges and the internet is very slow. but finally I managed to download all of them. After a rebooth, I checked if all the drivers and updated when installed. and they where but the problem was still there. My third step would open the BIOS menu and run both hard drive test and he said that there where no problems detected. Then I took a peek at all my settings on my video card, sound card and windows, but could not detect anything. If anyone has a solution, I would be really happy to hear. Thank you

    Hello

Start Notepad and let Windows load completely.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  For the run box, type msconfig and press ENTER.  In the next window, click the Startup tab, uncheck the box next to each startup item and then click on apply to apply the change.  Reboot the laptop and see if it now works normally - when surfing the internet, keep in known safe sites that your security software is disabled.  If it runs without hooking, reactivate a substantive point to the time (start with your security software), click on apply and restart the computer to see if it still works ok.  Keep doing this until you experience the problem and you will know that the last program that you configured to start with Windows is the origin of the problem of gel.

This error message means that your hard drive dies and has to be replaced.

Once you have the new drive, you must order the recovery media to restore your PC to the operating state.

It is a set of DVD and a CD or a USB key, which will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.
