  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-n259tx and problems with the brightness. You can try to use theWindows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant, if you need it. Simply download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that may need updating.

  But the problem im getting is, if I hold one button, the mouse does not work, which, as you can tell, is unplayable.

  I tried the following on a machine not that different to yours and it seems to work.

  First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Disable your wireless card (should be f12).

  Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

  When you are done, reboot the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, open your Downloads folder and launch the installer of Synaptics - when this is complete, restart the computer again.

  Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense, then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

  If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

  I was offered an update of software SP77359, which seems to me to be an update of the BIOS provided by HP Support Assistant. Version F.82Ap1. Two days ago, I updated the BIOS via the support and, on the report wizard got an other update via the support Wizard. I applied this patch to find that it was still an other BIOS update and now, which has been applied this third update has appeared. Please let know us how I do.
  
  The model number of my machine is actually N9R33EA #ABU (as reported by the Assistant to support) but ths was too long to type in the name of the product.

  Yes, if you look at the document Touchpad in my last post, there is a section called the sensitivities of score setting TouchPad and ClickPad. This should help you to change the sensitivity on your TouchPad.

• Product: HP Pavilion Notebook-PC G7, cannot access the bios settings/turn off the keys f1 - f12, please help!

  I got this laptop PC in 2012, it is a series of G7, I'm pretty sure. My problem is that when I turn the computer off and turn it back on, there is no option to open the menu of the bios (esc) or any option besides. Just a symble blue HP directly in the middle of the screen with a symbol of little loading below him. I pressed ESC, f1 - f10 and virtually all other keys to try to access it. What I really want to do is to disable most annoying f1 - f12 function keys.

  I'm no longer under warranty and my operating system is Windows 8.  There is also no error at all, just no response what that's right don't charge up to login password screen.

  Please help and contribution is appreciated.

  I see that you are looking to access the BIOS of your laptop Pavilion. You can't access BIOS in the same way on Windows 8, because you have a faction of a second to get the right timing because of the quick loading of Windows 8 feature. This third party link will show you how to access the UEFI that will lead to the BIOS. You can also do it from the Windows 8 login screen as this Microsoft link will show.   I have two devices paired bluetooth connected to my computer laptop, but audio still plays through the built-in speakers of Realtek.

  I understand your message that your Pavilion laptop - 17-g012na will only play audio through the built-in speakers and not the Bluetooth devices are paired.

  These speakers have worked in the past with this laptop? Have you verified that your system is up-to-date available throughout drivers and software?

  Microsoft has a background paper on connecting devices Bluetooth here and also a document of difficulty connections Bluetooth.

  I know from personal experience that some Bluetooth speakers and other devices, even when it is associated with, should click you on them to connect before it will actually start communicating with the PC.

  If you already have a 8 GB 1600 MHZ RAM on your PC you just need to buy another 8 GB 1600 MHZ RAM, that should work

  My laptopn is getting very hot with pick up my wireless connection, which is a few feet across the room. My other devices work very good about it, but the laptop has trouble finding in the majority of cases. I use a very late version of Windows 8.1 called Areo SX. The laptop connects momentarily and then in a blink he disappears. Also, in regards to other nearby wireless connections, the laptop is unable to locate any at all. A quick response will be greatly apreciated.

  In addition, you can watch the the power management of your wireless adapter:
  Turn off the power to the adapter:
  1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
  2. expand the network adapters.
  3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
  4. click on the power management tab.
  5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
  6. click on OK.
  7 test cycle.

  1. start network and sharing Center.
  2. in the pane tasks, click on manage wireless networks.

  Forget the network: (Windows 7)
  1. press start.
  2. tap manage wireless networks, click on the application at the top of the start menu.
  3. right click on the network, and then click on remove network.
  4 confirm the warning by clicking OK.
  
  Forget the network: (Windows 8)
  1. press Windows Key + C
  2. click on settings.
  3. click on change PC settings.
  4. click on network on the left.
  5. click on manage known networks.
  6. click on the name of the network.
  7. click on forget.
  
  Reset TCP/IP on your PC:
  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
  2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
  3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
  4 restart your PC and test.
  
  It can also help to reset the Winsock Catalog:
  1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.

  Reinstall the NIC drivers:
  1. download the drivers from http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/ , but do not run them again.
  2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
  3. expand network adapters.
  4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
  5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
  6. restart your PC and test.
  
  Test an ethernet connection:
  Not call explanation. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.
  
  Test another connection:
  Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

  It can start pretty quickly

  Try the next method.

  Hold the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent hybrid boot.

  Let off the laptop computer for 10 seconds.

  Start by typing esc button permanently as soon as you press the power button (do not wait for the prompt) and see if it will access the start menu - if that is the case, select f10 to open the Bios Menu.

  While I put a fan 90 b error and it froze on some video games, it was still under warranty but I wanted not to part with them for weeks and tried to clean it myself, I tore from the power button ribbon clip out of the motherboard and it will not power, my first question is that this will be not covered will be?
