I have 4 GB of Ram on a 16 possible and I thought shoud get more. I was just wondering can I have the back off the coast of the Tower during its execution so that I can see that actually the sounds before investing in another hard drive and memory cards? I'm so unhappy with my computer that I love even more to use it and I used to stay on 10 to 16 hours a day.  I don't have microsoft nhave word more and I miss the fonts that he used and for a reason that these fonts are missing off the coast of my e-mail program when they were there before the failure and the loss of MS Word IE fonts.   HP Pavilion p6610f than Desktop PC Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit HDD (I think) could not restart. There was no indication of a problem before me by clicking on the button restart. I have this sometimes just to clarify things, looks like things work better. When it restarted, it went to a screen with 2 choices 'launch start repair or load normally. I chose startup repair. He loaded some files & drivers but finally comes to the screen 'blue '. I tried to start the computer with all the 'F' keys, none worked, always came back to the blue screen. Tried to start the recovery discs I did, same thing. I started with the ERD that I did it. Same thing. Would not not even go to Safe Mode. Nothing. But, there is no prior problems. Nothing made me think that I should do something to deal with a disaster. Then a "friend of a friend" came and replaced the hard 'for free' drive and installed windows 8 (which I hate) and now the computer makes a ticking noise and a sound plaintive, as when there is a bad DVD in the drive, it work so now slow, freezes, takes internet forever and made so much noise I think it's going to explode. I think I should replace the hard drive with the "right" and then use my recovery disks. He said that windows 8 was just too big of an OS for the hard drive, it took, that is why it is slow. But couldn't I erase or reformat the hard disk, and then use my recovery disks. As it is, I have no HP software on the computer more.  Is there a way to get the data from my old hard drive? I'm willing to take the time to learn how to do all this by myself if I knew that this is possible and if it is useful? [edited font color and characters]

  I understand that you fell on some hard drive problems and a friend of a friend installed a former player for you and since he turned slowly and noisily. Personally, I recommend that you buy a new hard drive and then review and follow the instructions on the HP Support document: performing a recovery of HP (Windows 7) system, which will guide you through the recovery process and get your computer back operational.

  If you don't have the recovery discs for your computer you can buy them for a cheap price of HP Media software and the drivercommand.

  I would use two monitors on my HP Pavilion p6610f desktop computer.  I have two lcd monitors.   I buy a vga adapter digital and connected a monitor to the VGA in the back of the computer and plugged the adapter connected to the other lcd screen in the digital output on the back of the computer. The monitor connected to the digital output signals no signal.

  Can I use a Setup dual monitor on a pavilion p6610f using video output that is on the motherboard, or do I need an additional video card?

• HP Pavilion a6767c desktop computer: WIFI HP Pavilion replacement card

  I have a 2009 HP Pavilion a6767c desktop PC (model name: FQ587AAR), in Windows 7 Home Premium. My problem is that my WIFI signal is weak to 1 or 2 bars on a "good" day. Sometimes, I don't have any signal. Everything on my desk works very well. For comparison, I also have a HP Pavilion dv6t - 6 c 00 CTO Entertainment Notebook which is furthest from the ATT wifi router modem than the office. With the laptop, I still have 4, for the most part 5 bars. My smart phone Samsung S4 also has good Wi - Fi signal in the House. The problem seems to be with the Wi - Fi Office. My device manager says I have an adapter 802. 11 b/g.

  Is simply a new card internal Wi - Fi? If yes what is recommended for my office to the brand and I should get? And it of just a matter of unplugging the Tower, grounded by static electricity, opens the box and try swapping in the slot?

  HP Desktop Pavilion p6610f 64bits just installed new refurbished Hard Drive No. OS and yet I followed all the steps in the tutorial of HP, but one thing I didn't notice at first was that HP is said to use the smaller ports numbered disc hard SATA Seagate SATA HD shows that it is in the drive of 1st in the BIOS and when I checked for the SATA port There was just the USB ports, I assumed they were the same, but the only ports connected on 11 were the mouse and the keyboard on the 6 & 7 and a mass on the 11 port storage device (that is the hard drive?)  If it's the hard drive, do I go back and unplug something and put it in the USB port 0 and port 1? I had so many problems with the computer from another installed a faulty? hard drive, after the failure of the original, and I just wanted to be sure I did well, and it would be so good sail once I install my Diska recovery and follow other steps suggested by hP.  I guess I'll let it start and see what happens. (I'm on a right of the laptop next to my office right now)  It said to restart with the appropriate boot device.  I guess I should put in the first disc of recovery means turn the computer off then turn it back on again.

  My hard drive installation was a success and now, after installation program recovery discs and 100's of updates Windows and updates of the HP driver, everything seems to work very well.  The hard drive is intalled in port 1 and there is no noise as if it was with the previous replacement hard drive.  But things are still running much slower than they were before the crash.   I disabled elements start and removed many unnecessary programs and don't have not download all of my old library backup files in order to preserve the memory. I will buy and install several memory cards, a mink, update the BIOS Hardware Diagnostic test and hope that somewhere along the line, I will not solve the problem.  I consider this case closed and I thank all those who have posted to give me a helping hand.  Taylor

  Dave, welcome to the forum.

  Yes, you are right that the video memory is not enough.  I suggest to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU) at least 500W.  This will allow a better video card and future updates.  I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.

  Now for the video card.  I like XFX cards.  Here is a card that should work:

  I have a strange problem with my capacity wireless on my computer. Initially, I had connected my computer to my WiFi with no problems, then a while later, start the computer, the wireless wouldn't connect. When I looked for the driver (Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band Wireless Network Module), it had disappeared from everywhere: network pilots, research, etc.. I have to restart the computer several times until the pilot showed once again and I was able to use the wireless.

  Now, the pilot has disappeared completely. I looked all over my computer and cannot locate. My page says wireless network is not available. Even after several re - start, he disappeared, and I can't access my WiFi. I tried to download from the HP site and get the message "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been canceled. (9996) ' I've even used the tool directly on the site of Atheros, and it will scan the computer and says nothing about the driver is missing or defective; It is there just not on the list.

  First of all, I am the village * beep *.  I had a BB 8700 for awhile and after my failedto download the BB desktop PC crash and failed to back up my phone.

  I downloaded the PC to BB desktop software and the software recognized my phone was connected (even gave my BB PIN code).  Everything worked without problems until I was asked for my password.  I tried my password for my phone and which was not accepted.  I tried a few other variations without result.

  I have no backup file, nothing to indicate that the password is / was.  This doesn't seem to be a "simple" problem  A person must enter into the database of RIM to reset my password, give me a temporary and then allow me to enter a new permanent password.

  Hi there - I realize that it's been 2 weeks and I hope that it is already resolved, but this requires clarification.

  There is no password that anyone can give you to solve this problem. The password to enter the PC is the correct password that you use your BB is blocked from password. But the trick is to know what is the password.

  Most of the time, the configuration of the BB keyboard, you may think that you are entering in some characters, but in reality you are before anything else. The use of the alt, ctrl, caps, sym or other control keys affect the actual characters resulting which are sent by your BB. You must know exactly these characters rather than just the BB keyboard keys you press... and reproduce exactly the characters when you type your password on your PC keyboard.

  My wife and I have our own BB Storm, with separate Windows Vista Ultimate Edition connections.  She managed to save its storm with the BB Desktop Software under a windows login, but I can't back up my phone with the BB Desktop software on a windows login.

  I had several problems with our phones - many times I pulled the battery for 2 minutes on each phone to perform a soft reset. • RALink wireless Pavilion p6630f desktop

  I bought a new computer Pavilion p6630f desktop, installed wireless.

  From the outset, there has been no sign operating the Ralink RT2860 (works).

  Drivers have been updated and declared operation be Device Manager.

  A wireless computer in case installation is new to me.  I was expecting an icon, or lists of programs would allow me to set up the wireless with security and preferences, etc. as it is with, say, a D-Link router external.

  What I'm missing here? I have not be able to justify all this problem on the site of Ralink or with the HP support site.  As I found it, HP doesn't make absolutely no mention of the card wireless installed or the setup of software/firmware, did in fact, no manual for 6630f Office.

  Working in obscurity as a rank amateur in this case.

  The problem is not a network.  The question is to be able to control the Ralink wireless and having it recognized by the 6630.
