pcfax brother problems

I have a mfc9130 brother who receives faxes and download directly on my computer in a file in pdf format.  The computer is configured to never sleep.  the brothers canned software will still idle and faxes pile up in the fax as if the computer was not connected.  Anyone have this experience or have a solution?

Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft community. I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.

As you mentioned that the computer is set never to sleep, it is perhaps a problem with the settings of the fax machine itself.

You can try to fix the machine standby time which could help solve this problem. TO do this, follow the steps described in the following link and check if it helps.

Hope this information was useful. Let us know the results once you have tried this method.

  • Brother print driver problem

    Am tryint to install the control for a Brother MFC-9440CN Center, but guard give the error message - says need to install the Service Pack of Windows (R). Sought something like Microsoft and seems to not exist. Have you tried the other recommendation here: all programs... Updates Windows - Update of other things but does not solve this problem. Does (R) service pack exist? Does anyone have a link where this exact service pack can be downloaded? It's ridiculous how much time gets lost trying new softward FIX so that I can actually do my job. MICROSOFT - 1) provide a quality product 2) provide support for accessible customer.

    It seems that this printer driver was intended for a previous version of Windows.

    I suggest that get you the latest drivers for Windows 7 for this printer model.

    You can also run the troubleshooting of the printer.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter

    Open the printer Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Under hardware and sound, click on use printer.

  • Problem install driver Brother MFC 8300 (using Windows Update)

    I need help for my printer to work with a new installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  I had to reinstall due to a CMOS error, I think it was because of a dead battery.  It could even be something else because I had other problems with this facility (explained below).  In any case, the printer is a former Brother MFC 8300 (he was a workaholic!).  Past times, I have re-installed Windows, there have not been any problems with this printer.  I just install Windows Update driver (the driver is named 'Brother MFC8600/9650 Series' in Device Manager).  But this time the installed "Windows Update" the driver and says that everything is working properly but when I go to "Devices and printers" it does not appear in "Printers and faxes" (as he usually does).  FYI, there is a list for "USB Composite Device" in "Devices" that shows "Brother MFC8600/9650 series" as a scanner.  Don't know what that means.

    I also tried to manually download the driver of 'catalog.update.microsoft.com '.  I downloaded 2 different versions of the driver.  It has a size of 2.0 MB file and the other has a 2.3 MB file size.  I found myself by installing do not either because I didn't know where the appropriate destination location has been using the 'Expand' of the 'Command Prompt' command with "expand -F: * " ."  I think that the file for the "Windows Update" file size is 2.1 MB (my memory is not the biggest however).

    I am running as a "Standard user", but I installed all the drivers of devices as an administrator.  I also noticed a problem with an application that I used before this re - install, "Ultracopier.  On installs previous he has installed fine and he demanded 'Administrator' rights after the start.  But during this installation, it did not work at all and did not 'Administrator' rights after the start.  I also had problems with a 2 to external hard drive related to the permissions and access to certain files and folders.  I don't know if any of this matters but I thought that the more information the better.

    I hope someone can help me with this because I really need this printer to work.

    Hello

    Sorry for the late reply.

    I suggest that you restart the Printer Spooler service and see if that fixes the problem.

    A print spooler is software that temporarily stores the disk printing hard or in memory until the printer is ready to print.

    Please follow the steps below:

    You must be logged on as administrator to perform the following steps:

    1. By clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, open administrative tools. In the search box, type Administrative Tools, and then click Administrative Tools.
    2. Double-click Services. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Right click on the print spooler service, and then click Properties.
    4. Under the tab general , next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
    5. If the service is not already running, under Service status, click Startand then click OK. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    For more information, please see the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/why-cant-I-print

    If you are still facing problems while using the printer, I suggest to uninstall the driver again and install all the optional updates offered by Windows Update and then install the printer drivers if not included in the optional updates and see if the problem persists.

    To install optional updates, follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Windows key + R
    2. Type wuapp
    3. In the left pane, click search for updates, and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer
    4. If updates are found, click on view available updates.
    5. Select the optional updates, and then click on install. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Hope this helps, get back to us if you need further assistance for Windows.

    Check with the support of brother, their documentation online and drivers. As the brother of OEM

    I have DC Acrobat and run it on Windows 7.  I have a Brother printer.  I downloaded the new drivers last night, but the same problem occurs: when I try to print, I get a message in a dialog box, "the cocument could is allowed.  When I click on out of the box with this message, I get a different dialog box including the message says "it has not chosen to print pages".  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    The way I got it to print has been:

    Without opening the program, in the list of applications, move on to Adobe Reader and right click, select Properties.

    Go to the compatibility and click 'run as Admin '.  Reopen the application and all prints for me now.

  • Provision relating to a brother ConstraintRows problem

    Hello
    I have problems of creation of constraintRows using ActionScript with patterns for a brother aaplied to a canvas. I get a height that is less than defined.

    Here's a code in AS3 (does not work) to generate two rows, Row1 and Row2.

    AS3:

    consRow = new ConstraintRow();

    consRow.initialized (this, "Row1");

    consRow.height = 36;

    this.constraintRows.push (consRow);

    consRow = new ConstraintRow();

    consRow.initialized (this, "Row2");

    this.constraintRows.push (consRow);

    Fixed one with a height of 36, the second adjusts to the rest of the space available to the container, according to the example of the MXML here. The problem is that the first row has an end result of height = 19, so that if I look at the expression of the explicitHeight single table = 36 and not the actual height.

    Here there is an MXML example where the first line has a fixed size, and the other rule. This is to compare both MXML and AS3.

    MXML:

    < mx:constraintRows >
    < mx:ConstraintRow id = "Row1" height = "36" / >
    < mx:ConstraintRow id = "Row2" / >
    < / mx:constraintRows >

    If anyone can see what I'm doing wrong please let me know.

    Thank you very much in advance,
    Jose.

    Hello

    Finally I realized it wasn't a question of constraints, but the properties of the container and the Childs.

    Present apologies and thank you indeed.

  • Printer E2000 and Brother MFC - 9330 CDW problem?

    I have a router E2000, which I think is hard to connect to / wake my printer Brother MFC - 9330 CDW.  I attributed to a static IP address and when I run the network status of the LCD of the printer it is said that it is connected to my network and everything is correct.  But I can't ping from my Windows 7 computer, which is connected to the same WLAN.

    I can also print using my phone, connected on the WLAN, using the Brother printer app so maybe that's not the E2000. I don't know if it access the printer just like my pc.

    But if I reboot the E2000, my Win 7 machine can connect to the printer in a first time, but at some point - usually minutes but it may be days - the connection is lost and I can't seem to restore without having to reboot the router.  Restart the computer or the printer reset the connection.  The only way around this is to restart the router then immediately open Control Panel on the printer to my pc and let it open, maintain a connection with the printer, which is obviously not very convenient.

    I tried to reinstall the firmware for the router, which is the latest version, and I also have the latest firmware installed on the printer.  I also removed and then reinstalled the printer several times in my control panel when you add a printer.

    I'm not that techy, so I know what else to try.  If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you.

    I recommend that you connect the printer to the router with an Ethernet cable. The IMO is always the most reliable connection for network printers. The mobile application can directly connect to the broadcast wireless to the printer without going through the router all together.
