PCI-6111 vs pci - 6111e

What is the difference between these boards? Thank you!

In fact, I found in the manual now the 6111E has not been trully premium, we have just updated the specifications of the 6111 to be more precise than she was. See section 3-2 in the manuals for these devices:

http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/321759e.PDF

http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/321759b.PDF

Under the analog input, the first 2 paragraphs affirm the two cards 'supports only differential (DIFF) entered ".

So in fact, they are the same card.

  • Problem with a precision of analog input on PCI-6111

    Hello

I'm reading an analogue signal which varies from 0-11 V using a card of acquisition data PCI-6111.  The signal comes from a Tube set (PMT) which is part of a microscope configuration, so it is very important that the resolution of the analog input signal be as wide as possible generate quality images.  According to the data sheet for the PCI-6111, the analog input resolution is 12 bits, which should correspond to a sensitivity of ~2.686 mV for my voltage range.

To test this, I set up a task to analog input with a 0-11 V voltage range to read samples of an analog output, which I wrote a simple waveform.  Since the 16-bit analog output resolution that I assumed that it would not limit the accuracy of this measurement.  I have attached the VI I used for this measurement below.  The analog input data are saved not truncated in a text file.

Analyzing these data, I found that the real input sensitivity is ~9.766 mV, corresponding to levels of voltage exactly 1126,4 and ~ 10 bits.

Is there a reason why the resolution of analog input is much lower that it is indicated on the card?  What are some of the ways I could improve the sensitivity of this measure?

    Best,

    Keith

Sorry, when you mentioned the specs, I thought you already had them. If this did not come with your Board of Directors?

  • PCI-6111 valid sampling frequencies

We have old card PCI-6111 that we still use. A question was posed regarding the applicable sampling frequency setting.

According to the manual, this thing must have base clock of 20 MHz and 100 kHz. There also a divisor of 24-bit and (not sure about this) multiplier of 2 bits. I guess that these can be used for the base of appropriate clock frequency scaling.

What sampling rate can be set on this thing? This is a spec 5 of average size, then that would be the upper limit. Can I put any arbitrary frequency (integer) under this? Or what I need to work explicitly what it's capable of? With a 24-bit divider, this would imply that there is a wide range of frequencies that doesn't "work" on this map.

What happens when I select a frequency that is "bad"? Round it inflicts, turn down?

Hello Isaac, it's Paul with engineering Applications to the OR.

This device offeres 2 at simultaneous sampling of the analog inputs, 5 MS/s per channel - The 2 AI can enjoy up to 5 Mhz per channel each.  You can only have 1 frequency clock for your tasks to HAVE, but this clock frequency can be adjusted from 1 kHz to 5 Mhz, set by you.  Note that most of our maps allow GOT down to 1 HZ, but this ADC is different because it uses a pipeline ADC convereter.  In addition, since this card can taste at the same time, it means that two analog channels will be read at the same exact time (in parallel).  In addition, the value of I is a 12-bit number.

I borrowed a PCI-6111 to my colleague and I'm the test. Analog, max entry in some time he showed 0,00000 V value all the time, but once it comes to show the value the min of entry (for example,-10 V when I put the input range of +/-10V). I have a PCI-6035E plugged into the same computer and the 6035E works perfectly. I tried different versions of NOR-DAQ (6.9.1 and 7.3) and NOR-DAQmx (8.5), but had no luck. I have also tried to link the analog on analog in the card to see if the sinusoidal signal of the output appears in the entry but had no chance as well. I don't know if this card still works and there's something escapes me. I knew that it worked before, when I visited my colleague to the United Kingdom. I wonder if anyone of you encountered the same problem before? Thank you very much.

    Hi Chitnon,

Unfortunately, it seems that you may have a broken DAQ card.  Feel free to contact support to determine if the card must be returned for repair.

  • PCI-6111 is recognized as PCI-6110

I have a Board OR marked as PCI-6111, but when I inserted in a PC, it has been recognized as PCI-6110. Subsequently, none of the inputs or outputs work. The analog inputs still show a flat 10V line, while the exit is blocked to 500 mV. The card go through self-control, however fails self-calibration. Reset of the card does not resolve the problem.

Based on the images below, what a card 6110 6111? Could he just scored, in which case the card is probably damaged?

It looks a little dfferent PCI-6111 cards available to us, but perhaps that is a previous model (it had been built, it seems, in 2000).

Or might pose the problem with inputs and outputs that the PC does not correctly recognize it? If this is the case, is there an easy solution (in relative terms) of the problem, sending to OR for repairs?

    Thank you for reading.

    Filipp,

Where did you got this card?  It is a very strange problem.  184111 K-01 part number is for a 6110.  The part number 184111 G-02 is for a 6111.  The jury is without a doubt a 6110 as you can see the 2 of the 6111 4 chips on the left hand side related to the 4 channels of the 6110 vs.  So I recommend you all what's wrong with that you send it back in OR for repair.  You can give me a call at 1-866-275-6964 SEO SR #: 1436085 and I can help you through the process of RMA from here.

  • The pci-6111 can capture samples 400 000

I'm just a signal that lasts 8 seconds.  The signal varies from 20 kHz to 25 kHz, so I would probably sample right around 50 kHz?  At that note, and if I wanted to capture the whole 8 seconds, according to me, that it would take me about 400000 samples.  Is there a way that this can be done with the card PCI-6111. FYI, I'm using LabVIEW 7.1. Thank you.

  • Problems with timing of analog input PCI-6111

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Hello SNL_NB_1167,

A good place to watch code you know works would be the finder of the example.  "" "" Open the finder example and navigate to hardware input & output "DAQmx" analog measures ' tension ' ContAcq - IntClk.prj

Run this code and see if you get the same results.  If so, then we would know that it's a hardware problem and not a problem with the programming.  If you see the correct behavior, then you have code that you can shape your out of.  I hope this helps.

  • Multiple PCI-61XX cards can be connected to sample at the same time? If so, how?

Our plans include a variety of experiences that involve the acquisition and use of cards PCI-6110, 6111-PCI and PCI-6115 for the acquisition of analog signals.  Is is possible to combine two or more of these cards so that they sampled simultaneously and thus increase our number of simultaneously sampled analog input channels?  If so, what are the physical connections, and how the software is configured to control simultaneous sampling?  Thank you.

The DAQmx driver that makes it really easy for series S, DSA boards and X series (but mutually exclusive, you can't mix and match the 3 ranges).  You need all the cards in a PXI chassis or, as in your case, a RTSI cable connected to all the advice and the cable set in MAX.  To configure the cable in MAX, right-click on "Devices and Interfaces", select «Create a new...» "and choose"RTSI Cable.  For each device in the RTSI cable is connected to, right-click in MAX, choose 'Properties' and set the cable in the tab 'Configuration RTSI.

Once it's all installation its as simple as adding all the channels to a single task.  For example, your physical channel channel could be ' Dev1 / ai0:3, Dev2 / ai0:1, Dev3 / ai0:3 "for a 6110, 6111 and 6115.»

  • Mac Pro 5 1-PCIe Configuration

    Hello

I have upgraded my Mac Pro 5, 1 (model mid-2010) with a few changes/additions PCIe and need some advice. Frankly, I was surprised by the fact that the Expansion Slot utility was not usable here and the old interface to help me refine the best configuration. Reading about the possible configuration options started his contradictory between reseources. Anyway, this is what I have:

    Slot 1 (x 16) - ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card

    Slot 2 (x 16) - ATI Radeon 5770 graphics card

Location 3 (4 x) - empty (no physical space due to above)

Unit 4 (x 4) - card Sonnet PCI Tempo SSD Pro Plus

So, is this look of effective configuration for the priority of the data read/write verses performance graphics performance?

    Peace,

    Dr. Z.

The utility of PCI slot is not usable on the 2009 to 2012 Mac pro.

The allocation of housing-gears the 2009 Mac Pro 2012 is fixed, not configurable and is exactly as you say: the two 16 x slots, the two upper slots lower slots are 4 x speed, but of "provide support for up to 16 x cards" (in other words, they use the biggest connectors, but everything beyond 4 x is not connected).

Your installation seems fine. Some users prefer to leave the top slot open for a better circulation of air above all the cards. But as you say, you do not have this option.

4 x is fast enough for this SSD card. Which is about as fast they do these cards so far. Extra speed as a 16 slot x could not possibly serve in the drafting of this article.

  • MacBook pro 13 inch 2012 pcie ssd upgrade

Is my mid-2012 13 "MacBook Pro compatible with PCIe SSD upgrade? I want to remove the internal optical disk and edit it in the PCIe SSD, so that I have 2 internal storage. Going to do?

Your mention of an optical drive tells me you have a MBP non-retine.  PCI and PCIe SSDS are NOT compatible with your MBP.  You can install a card standard 2.5 "SSD in your MBP and still experience a significant increase in performance.  I suggest OWC SSD and Crucial.

    Ciao.

  • Update of El Capitan 10.11.5 does card PCI does not work

When I upgraded to 10.11.5 my PCI-424 card (it's a MOTU audio interface card) has stopped working. Rather than appearing as 'PCI-424 In' it appears now as "optical / digital» Ditto for out when I go to System - Sound preferences.

I took the card and rebooted and it still showed the "digital optical". I put the card in another location and the same.

Clearly El Capitan is not to recognize the PCI card correctly but I don't know how to do this.

    Greetings,

I just bought a PCI Express card to add USB 3.0 to my Mac Pro (2008 model), but it seems to be recognized; Information system called "driver installed: no ' on this card, which is at least in the list of cards.

The accompanying CD has several folders (unknown which is the one I want) but I couldn't find a good.

It's a PCI Express "Delock" card, but there is no product name, except the description.

What can be done to correct the problem?

    Is specific USB what card?
