• Illustrator CC - CRASHES when create/open the new document.

  My CC Illustrator crashes when:

  -When I open any *.ai file saved on my drive

  I can open the Illustrator (empty, without any document) but as soon as I want to open a document or create (file/new) it immediately blocks wit "Illustrator unresponsive" and it closes.

  The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

• Photos crashes when you try to share by any means

  Hello

  I recently encountered a problem with the Photos app. When I click on the share button, the application crashes. It is only possible to close directly by means of clicking the icon in the dock and chasing quit option.

  How to solve this problem? Reinstallation of the system will be the only solution to this problem?

  Lets do some tests to try to isolate the cause

  Hold down the option key while launching Photos and create a new library - test here and see if it works

• RoboHelp 6.0 crashes when opening projects RH X 5

  Our company has just 'upgraded' RoboHelp X 5 to 6.0. We had any other problems with this new version. Some of our X 5 projects we can open, some of them we cannot. When we try to open some of our X 5 projects, the RoboHelp application crashes. We tried to remove the PCD files, etc and nothing seems to work but the removal of the index (file perfect). But then we have no clue. Even if we create a new index from scratch, then as soon as we open it next time, it crashes again. Worse, is that I talked to technical support of Adobe and assistance to installation about 20 times in the course of the last month and a half, and they were absolutely worthless! They also keep promising to call us back by promised time and it NEVER happens. Our company ordered 10 licenses for RoboHelp 6.0 and NONE of them are working properly AND the results of our projects varies according to each user. We receive all the mistakes and errors vary between our users. This product is NOT GOOD and we would NOT recommend it to anyone. Adobe needs serious improvements to their 6.0 product AND their support teams! We will spread the word to all blogs by Adobe, that we can find because they will not help us or until they help us.

  In collaboration with the team my BUSINESS, we have solved this problem on my machine by reinstalling Microsoft Windows. However, there are 2 others in my Department who encounter the same problem and they are going to be reinstalling Windows XP as well.

  We have not found the real problem with Adobe 6 X 5 vs. Our resolution seems to be a workaround.

  I spent way too much time on this problem. I'm happy with OUR team could help.

  Still not impressed with Adobe 60 or their "customer service."

• Photos crash when deleting location

  On his return from holiday, I imported hundreds of photos from my camera Panasonic ZS40 in Photos. The ZS40 has a built-in GPS receiver and embeds location information in each photo if available.

  Seen in Photos, many (but not all) imported photos appear to have incorporated location information (the little icon 'card' is displayed in the corner down left), but photo location does not appear on the map in the information area.  A map appears, but there is no bug. On the other hand, the info box displays "looking for information about the location..." This opinion never disappears, and location of the photo never appears on the plan (which is not relevant to where the photo was taken).

  I suspect that the ZS40 had not yet acquired GPS lock when these photos were taken. Maybe he wrote by default (or defective) lat/long coordinates in EXIF data structure embedded in the JPG file.  In order to correctly assign to the right place in the Photos, I clicked on Image/location/delete location, with the intention to then manually add the location where the photo was taken.  Photos promptly crashes as soon as I click delete location.

  This happens every time. I have tried on dozens of different relevant photos, with the same result: pictures of accidents.

  There seems to be a coding bug in the program of Photos (I don't like any more whenever I use it).

  Can anyone suggest a work around with (or without) photos?

  Can anyone tell me the location of the actual JPG image file which Photos has hidden somewhere in its database? (With iPhoto, it was easy to find the actual file...). If I can find the JPGs, I might be able to inspect (and perhaps correct) defective lat/long data in the EXIF data with a geo-tagging 3rd party utility.

  You can export the unmodified original (menu, file == > export) and then import the corrected photos and remove all original with Photos photos, as it should

  The original files are in your photo library in the Masters folder - you can see by clicking on the photo library and shows the contents of the package

• Photos crashes when exporting to the originals

  I have a library of 53 k and I am trying to export original for an extra layer of backup. All the originals are on Mac.

  When I try, Photos blocked pretty quickly. I tried to restrict the export of just pictures 2015 (about 6 k).

  I was wondering if anyone else has experienced. It seems pretty weird because the initial view is created.

  This is what happens:

  1. I have create a new analysis. Data source is not serious. I tried the sample App Lite & 2 different Essbase cubes.
  2. Drop some columns on the criteria
  3. Click on the results. It displays a table view. I can record and visualize it etc.
  4. If I try to create a 2nd view of any type, including another table the frontal crashes, showing "Processing, please wait"
  5. Connecting to the server, we will see that there is a windows dialog box indicating "nqssserver.exe has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution... »

  Eventually it times out. I think that nqsserver.exe restart itself. The view is not created.

• Premiere Pro CC 2014 crashes when loading project file

  Hi guys, any help on this is much appreciated because I have a job due in 18 hours and I'm in big trouble, if I can't solve this problem.

  I was editing a project in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 (update to the latest version) and when I tried to access the same file today it gives me the error message:

  ' Sorry, a serious error has occurred which requires Adobe Premiere Pro stop. We will try to save your current project. »

  I saved the other version files and they all seem to be working properly so I know this isn't my HD which is corrupt. In fact, my suspicion is that it has something to do with a blur effect that I use. The only problem is, I can still access the file to remove the effect that the project file does not open.

  I use a Macbook Pro

  OS X version 10.9.4

  2.6 Ghz Intel Core i5

  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory

  Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

• RH 9 crashes when creating WebHelp from a file of 8 HR

  I opened several files that had been created using RH8 on our newly acquired RH9. They all appeared to be upgraded successfully. I then went in RH9 to generate/publish these files to make sure that all the data were there.

  All files then generated published successfully except one. RH9 stalled on the popup of WebHelp generating so that the 'update of files... ». I tried for the production and publication and the same thing occurred for both, with the green progress bar stop in the same place every time.

  Cancel was not available and clicking X on the popup gave me the "End program" popup windows telling me that "program is not responding. Clicking the End Now button then closes RH9.

  Is there something special, that I need to check in the file in question? The fact that other files do not have a problem gives suggests that it is this file and not the environment etc. Is there anywhere to look to see what really is the problem?

  Fixed now. Removed all subdirectories for the project at fault. Each subdirectory added at the same time, Generating/publication before adding the next. When the G/P failure reappeared which would identify the offending subdirectory. Managed to add them all back with none of them do not.

  Don't know why it does not work, do not know what happened to make it work now, but it's a bit as if she's back as it should.

  Your initial problem (the crash) was probably due to a combination of the setting bad project and sequences WVGA PRE can not cope. Maybe some PC problems as well.

  The 720 p clip you condition PRE10 accompanied perfectly by using the NTSC > AVCHD > AVCHD LITE720p30 project setting.

  I believe that your other problems must be associated rather than issues PRE10 PC.

  • Follow the advice of Bill and return the timeline by pressing the [ENTER] key

• Before 4 opens and then crashes when loading project

  I realize that first Elements 4 is old, but I still love and use it for all my projects. Here's my problem: I've been running for 4 months on my new laptop for Win 7 HP 64 - bit, but only today it started to go bonkers. It opens fine, but when I open a project, it minimizes the window pre as soon as it loads. Even if I tried to re-opening the window, he refuses to return to full screen mode.

  I tried the Vista compatibility and even XP, which runs under administrator privileges, but nothing helped. It is the result of a virus or a newly installed program? I return to the edition...

  There is one thing I need to clarify-do you mean that you can no longer open a new project, one that is empty? If Yes, then you can skip the test below, well we could get back to that, if we can get before you open a new project.

  When you say "raw AVI files", these are DV - AVI, a special form of AVI? This ARTICLE will give you more information about the file formats.

  You mention Audio WMA files. As an AVI file, those can contain a lot of different things, but more on that in a moment.

  With Win7-64, 4 GB of RAM is all that Win7 should work, and leaving not a lot of excess for the programs.

  Now, the projects may become corrupt or unstable, because of many things. Active in a project can become a problem. Test a project for the 'bad' assets is to ensure that the pre is closed and then 'hide' the assets of pre. As the project file, of PREL, contains none of the assets, but only following absolute paths for these assets, it's farily simple. How they structured their active records can greatly simplify this task, or cause a bit of work. It sounds as if your project is pretty simple so far and should not be difficult to follow these steps to test:

  • With the pre is closed, go to or records, where the assets are located and move the folders elsewhere. Don't forget, the PREL uses absolute paths, so that this original path no longer apply. At this point, I also would separate active by type, say with video files in a folder 'Video', still Images in a folder "Images" and the Audio files in a folder "Audio". You'll see why in a moment.
  • Before starting, and then open the project problem.
  • We will be faced with a message dialog box, asking "where is file _? Since we moved these assets, we must help the PrE to find them. Simply navigate to the proposed folder, where the first asset. The display of the dialog box offers a Finder, but since you have moved things, you should have this info. Locate the first file, claiming before.
  • Once you find it, pre will do two things: make the connection again and then look in the folder for other assets, used in this project and also a link to them - pretty neat, huh?
  • Given that we have separated our assets by type, if the first type, say video, very well, that we can exclude those charges. If the project crashes here, we found at least one problem.
  • When meadow comes to the following assets, reappears on the screen of the dialog box, and we will do the same thing: find the file, claiming before, and again, pre will restore the link with it and this search for the active folder. If all goes well, we can probably exclude those assets as a problem.
  • He repeats until either the project managers, or until project accidents, or crashes. If this happens, we reduced things down to a single type of assets. That's why we separated - it's active troubleshooting much easier. Note: Titles are written in XML, in the PREL code, so nothing concrete there for them at this stage.

  Whatever you do, don't choose NOT save, and especially if you decide to Skip Media, or cancel. Only do a Save_As, so to NOT overwrite your original PREL. Never overwrite original PREL, if you are having problems.

  Please report it on this test. The project fails with a specific type? If Yes, what is this type of assets?

  If you have a certain asset of this type, you can redo the test, moving, say half of these goods again and rerun the test. If the project crashes with either the first half or the second, you are closer.

• Pro crashes when opening project

  Work in CS3.  I have a completed project, just export the final product, but when I open the project file I get this message-

  Try resetting preferences now the SHIFT key until the spash screen appears when you start PR then, create a new project and import the existing one in it. If it still does not work, try to open one of the projects auto-sauvé.

• Dreamweaver CS3 crashes when creating forms

  Not sure what's going on here. I have built several sites not containing the standard shape handles again no problem. Now all of a sudden when I open a particular page it causes DW to crash. Today, I created a new form page which had no problem then I realized that I would need to cut out the shape in two pages because it was too big for a single page.
  
  I cut half of the form and pasted into a new blank template page then record successes and of course, crashed and now does not open in DW without causing a system crash.
  
  Anyone seen this before?

• Crash when creating a context of screen

  Hey everybody,

  I'm having a ussue with the screen_create_context() function. When I give the SCREEN_APPLICATION_CONTEXT flag, the program works, but returns the incorrect context. However, the original code called SCREEN_DISPLAY_MANAGER_CONTEXT be used like this:

  screen_create_context (& screen_context, SCREEN_DISPLAY_MANAGER_CONTEXT);

  and returns - 1 (0 available poster / crashes the app). The code I took it of can be found here. I wonder why I can't access to the poster of the device (the priveledge root problem?). Any thoughs?

  Your application is not the display manager.  It is limited to the privileged software - eg. the browser.

  screen_read_display() is reserved for a good reason.

  There is a security APIs that support future screenshot at 10.2, so wait for it.

  screen_read_window() can be used to screen shot of your own application, however.
