  • Photosmart 7520 error: there is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

Error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

#2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

  • 'Print settings' are not stored in the print preset

    Hello world

It seems that no matter how many times I save and update the profile, all the print settings (size of picture, sharpness, depth of bits, color management,...) store in the preset, all, but the parameters of the Epson driver, which must be selected each time.

I really do not remember if this bug was present in 4.0 or not (I am running 4.1 RC), but I'm sure it worked OK under 3.x. Here's the thing.

    1. I have set up the print settings and create. profile: Profile1.
    2. I have all the settings and create a second profile: Profil2. "Printer setup" settings are different, same printer for color (Profile1) for Advanced B & W (Profil2).
    3. I click mer1 (which was created with the printing of color settings). By clicking 'Print settings' or 'Print', the settings of the printer selected in the epson driver is the ABW (one that belongs to Profil2).
    4. I have to reselect the correct setting of 'Print Settings'... "(Color).
    5. Click 'Save' again
    6. Droi-t click mer1 -> update with current settings. Parameter seems to be saved.
    7. I then click Profil2 and bam! The 'Print Settings... ". "seems to be to color instead of the ABW rverted.
    8. Update the correct settings, return to the point #3

Can you reproduce this? This behavior is vanishig the power of the button 'Print One', unless you print consistently with tha same driver settings.

    I have solved the problem.

The bug is there, because the name of the preset remains the last used, which is wrong.

If you go back to the default ' default ' Epson preset and change all the settings you want, and then click Save and update the Lightroom presetsettings are stored correctly.

You will need to check each preset (I have two dozen) and re - update with the new fix (or bad?) Driver configurations, while you might have faith once again on the button «Print One»

  • Photosmart 7520 Intermittent 'USB device' new unrecognized on the new HP PC

I have a HP Pavilion 23-xxxx all-in-One desktop PC that was bought with a HP Photosmart 7520 in October of this year.  The PC came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit, which has been upgraded to 64-bit Windows 8 Pro following instructions provided by HP, including the installation of applications and specific drivers of Windows 8.  The computer has never been used with Windows 7, the upgrade was literally out of the box, the end of the first OEM installation.  Installed the printer software, downloaded from HP, which has installed fine.  As a first step, there is no problem with the printer - printing and functions of scanning performed as expected.  Then, after a day or two I started to do a random popup message in Windows saying "USB device not recognized" and something about Windows have stopped the device because it did not work.  The Billboard on the printer displays error and off-line.  If I turn on the printer, it will work again for a while.  Other USB devices connected to the computer - mouse, a keyboard and an external hard drive - continue to work very well.  I tried the printer connected to a different USB port, then changed the cable.  I ran the HP print and Scan doctor who reported that nothing was wrong.  Finally, I uninstalled the printer software and re-installed and everything was going well for a day before the same thing started to happen.  I used the software of the printer and the HP software that is provided for the computer to make sure that both devices are fully patched.

Much obliged for all the thinking on the issue.

The printer is probably defective. HP replaced under warranty after hours and weeks of troubleshooting. But to their credit that they replaced it with the more expensive 8600 OfficeJet, which worked without problems since then.

  • All-in-one HP Photosmart C310a: "True HP" cartridges are NOT SUSTAINABLE

I use a HP Photosmart Premium C310a series all-in - one.I also use ONLY HP #564 ink cartridges. I do basically all my printing in grayscale, which I suppose is only black ink. I don't have one of the other cartridges replaced since the receipt of alerts "low ink" on them, awhile ago, I never print in color.

My problem is that the black ink cartridges are not sustainable. I recently replaced the larger of the 2 black inks in January. Since then, I have only printed perhaps 25 pages. Now, it's as if it is empty.

It shows low on ink diagnosis, however, when I run a report of print quality, it shows full. I ran a report of alignment (failure) and cleaning cartridges (doesn't give me an option of 'yes' or 'no' as shown in the troubleshooting guide)

Before replacing the cartridge in January, I cleaned the print head / contacts as the same thing happening.

I REALLY want to replace the whole print head, but also can't keep replacing a new cartridge about 25 pages.

  • Newly installed cartridges are not printing black or yellow.

I have a Photosmart C4280, which has recently been opened and installed for the first time. All was still in the original packaging. The print cartridges had never opened up when I installed them, but they do not seem to be printing black or yellow.

It doesn't seem to be an error message associated with the problem. It happens every time I try to print the allignment installation page, or through the printer utility test pages. However, the printer does not think that something is wrong. It's playback of almost full for all cartridges ink levels.

The printer is connected to a computer running OS x 10.6.8. I have updated the printer drivers using this linkto the HP Web site.

The printer has this problem when plugged on a powerstrip and when plugged into a wall outlet.

This should not be a problem of USB, because the USB cord that I use is brand new, I bought it from Office Max a week ago.

I tried "resetting" the printer by unplugging the power cord and by plugging it in 30 seconds later. It makes not a difference.

    Thank you for you attention.

A form of cleaning utility is fine and accomplishes the same thing would be this from the control panel of the printer.   If the cartridges are dried out it is not a way to get back them. I would go buy a new black cartridge and three colors for this computer.

  • error message that the ink cartridges are not compatible

I recently bought a HP Deskjet 1000 and installed and the cartridges that came with the printer do not work. It keeps giving me the error that they are not compatible with the way in which the printer is installed.  I followed all the instructions and everything reset and still say the same error.  I am using windows 7 64 bit

Fix! The printer will not work without INSTALLING cartridges. All cartridges installation, do not wrote on the side, but those that come with the printer do most of the time.

What happened after a few steps, after re - clean cartridges and unplugged the power? Same result?

  • printer tells me that my cartridges are not good

I filled my 3520 all in a refiilable ink cartridges and now the black level is saying its empty even if its ink printing, the ink on the other levels say their allmost empty and the colors are washed out. What can I do to fix this? I just replaced the ink cartridge not!

The printer doesn't 'know' you have filled in the ink, or how much ink you can put.  Once supplies have been empty ink will also show empty until the cartridges are replaced.

  • HP Envy 110 moved from Germany to the United States: cartridges are not intended to be used for this printer

A printer bought in Germany does not accept the US cartridges (I've tried 2 different cartridges of different retailers). The following error message appears on the printer screen:

"The following cartridges are not for use in this printer."

Definition of the region in the 'USA' printer settings does not resolve the issue. Phone support told me that it is not possible to change the region of the printer. Is this true?

I found several messages in this forum for people having the same problems.

    Hello

Change the region of the printer is possible, the information you describe is incorrect.

First of all make sure that the black and three-color authentic and guaranteed HP ink cartridges - this is essential in order to reset the printer that you have right to this service for free under warranty of ink cartridges.

So, you will need a computer with the printer installed in order to reset the printer.

Once you have both the cartridges available, contact the phone holder once more and make it clear that you are entitled for that service, a support agent should guide you further with the process.

  • 6520: 6520 Setup cartridges do not work in the new printer

By putting my new cartridges to install in my new 6520, I get the error message 'after the cartridges installation initialization stage does not more' and I have to replace for new.

I can do that I can use the cartridges - they came new with the printer and I don't want to buy new before printing any page.

    Hey @PBA259,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that during the installation of your new cartridges in your new Photosmart e-all-in-one printer of HP 6520 you get the message that "after that installation initialization phase cartridges cannot be used more» It does not sound like you have a defective set of cartridges of the installation. When you own a printer, as your HP Photosmart camera, they require special configuration cartridges to initialize and preparation of your ink system. If the installed cartridge is damaged, you must go directly to HP to get those replaced with new cartridges of configuration. You cannot buy cartridges installation of the store. Even if you have left and a brand new genuine HP set of cartridges for your printer model, your printer would not complete initial implementation without cartridges installed.

At this point, because you get this message out of box with your Photosmart HP 6520 I would recommend that contact you the queue of our Support technical telephone to explore ink replacement options.

HP Technical Support can be reached at the: 800-474-6836.
