• Photsmart 6520: Cannot scan using USB

  I have a Photosmart 6520 connected by USB.  When you try to scan through the software scan or touch screen, I get a communication failure. There are moments where the search starts but then error (about 1/3 of the scan showing in the preview). When you use the touch screen, my computer appears as a selection to send the file to, or when the touch screen of the software shows the scan starts, but then get communication error appears and the scan is canceled. Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.  Print to the printer without problem and uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the latest driver for the issue of the analysis

  I see that you are having problems scan feature.  I would like to help!

  I would recommend starting with a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

  I recommend also to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

  Hello I'm writint this because I need help! I get an error message my Macbook Pro on my Photsmart 6520 is blocked and it says to check if all obstructions are bloacking it. Hoever, it's like the 20th time I check inside the printer over and over again. Make sure that everything is in order, however when I turn the printer back on, he will say the same thing and I keep trying to make it work, but it won't! I just got the printer yesterday and I caanot establish it, please help it is urgent.

• Photosmart 6520 - establishment of eFax with greyed the button "create a new account.

  I just bought a Photosmart 6520 new and am setting up eFax service. While he was trying to set up eFax "create a new account" button is grayed out, do not allow me to create an account. I found a HP support document for my printer which helps with the implementation of eFax. On the document it says:

  NOTE: If the button create account is unavailable or greyed out, the printer is already registered with eFax.

  

  I didn't record the printer with eFax, but just to check that it was wrong, I clicked on "login to eFax and clicked 'forgot number?' when you are prompted for an eFax number I never was affected. I put my email address and the message verified, as I expected, that the account was not in their database. I then did a search on the forum where I found a topic 'Registration of EFAX' that said, it has been resolved. The solution to say

  "I'm sorry to hear that you have a gray button to create an eFax account for your Photosmart 6520.

  The questions that you have, please call HP Cloud Services at 1-885-785-2777 if you are in the USA/Canada region. »

  I tried to call this number and it is an invalid number. I searched other corrections and I see not a published solution, but see that there is a problem with high frequency. Help, please.

  Here is the solution, if you do not have to hunt around with invalid documents, phone numbers, etc... as if I had to.

  If you configure a printer offering eFax free, but when you create an account, eFax, the 'Create new account' button is gray, then here's what you do:

  1. Call eFax @ 1-800-287-3499 and select "Sales". Do not select "Customer Support" because it prompts you to enter your fax number, you do not. Tell the sales person the question and ask to be transferred to a customer support agent.

  2. Customer support agent will take information from you such as your zip code, your email, your hpeprint email address, type of printer and then open a ticket with a representative from hp for the configuration of the fax number.

  3. You should then receive a fax of test from the person who took your eFax number. You will get also an email with the information you need for eFax, including your fax number and your PIN.

• EFax Free with HP Photosmart 6520 stop working after a month

  I bought a printer Photosmart HP 6520 in August 2013. I have set up my 'free' in October eFax and transmitted an eFax once.  Since that once, it seems to send, but nothing shows in my application sent by fax. I even tried to send by email, and nothing is happening on the receiving end.

  The circular does not time limits.

  I just bought this printer and had time to implement the eFax. Is it true that the eFax cannot be implemented on a computer Apple? If so, why? It's really disappointing if it's true.

  Take a deep breath and smile because this information is no longer valid, you can install eFax and use it with your Mac. I've included the document Getting Started with eFax . I just noticed that this document also has this incorrect information in it.

• Photosmart 6520 disorder registration for eFax

  I just bought a Photosmart 6520 and try to install eFax.  I clicked on the control panel of the product and have found the button setup eFax tab printing & scanning (as directed by the instructions included with my printer).

  When I click on the eFax Setup button, my browser opens on the creation screen / connect you account for eFax:

  The 'Create new account' button is grayed and I'm unable to create an account.  The button "Connect to eFax" is red (active) and I am able to click on it to log-in. However, since then I've yet to be able to create an account in the first place, there is no account for me to connect to.

  After much research, the only solution I found was to call HP Cloud Services @ 1-855-785-2777.  HP then degenerates the Efax number.  They then plan a time to remind you of your fax number and the password to use.  This has probably happened to 6520 users.  It was set long rather than having the customer go through research, emails, phone calls and waiting for a fax number.

  Hello, like other posters here I'm setting up eFax on my Mac to HP Photosmart 6520.  When I click on the eFax the button "create account" is grayed out.  Would appreciate ideas on how to solve this problem, thank you.

  Don't know what was the next step, TwoPointOh, but in the meantime I received an eFax account by contacting HP Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777.  I gave them all the information about my printer, and a few days later, I received an email from eFax with a new phone number and a PIN.  In the meantime, I went on these forums for other solutions, but in the working end HP phone contact.

  So for all those who have an eFax "in gray" button signup for their HP6520, recommend this approach.  eFax has taken a bit of time (I think about 4 days) but in the end, they provided the new fax and PIN number.

  I have a new 6520 and I can't get the eFax put in place.  I am running windows 8.  Whenever I try to open the window of eFax in the 'Create New Account' button HP printer wizard's Ghost out.  is the only option that I am able to click on 'Log In', but I have not created an account, so I can not connect.  I went on the eFax website, but to create an account on their site, I have to pay for the service.  Has anyone experience this problem?

  You must call to HP Cloud Support Services to get this fixed number.  They will be able to generate you a new link the link in your HP printer Assistant does not have to get your eFax account.  The CSS from HP is available from 09:00 to 22:00 in your time zone, kjkludt, as you have said that you are in the Eastern time zone.

• eFax registration - new Photosmart 6250

  I just bought a Photosmart 6520 and cannot create an eFax account. The account registration page has grayed out option create a new account, and the only option is the Log In to eFax.  Windows 8.1

  My problem has been resolved by HP support.  I had to give them information and they opened a ticket with efax to manauly create my account.
