Is it possible when copying on articles to have a folio in PDF and the other in PNG?

Tried to do this by establishing a different folio in PNG and the copy through the articles that were created for the original PDF folio, but they always seem to be PDF when loaded in the new folio and preview on Tablet, even if it has been set in PNG.

They only get converted to PNG when published? shouldn't we see thumbnails in the DPS Folio Producer: Editor window. Try to keep the meta tags of data between folios, or do I have to re - export these files and to reintroduce the tags and attributes manually.

I saw there is a way to copy items between folios admin level, this would lead to a correct transposition of the PDF to PNG?

We don't have a way to create a sidecar of existing folios, unfortunately. As Bob says it is an often requested feature, it just not has not spread to the top of the priority list yet.

Generally what I see happening is one person other that the designer is responsible for managing the file sidecar.xml. One person deals with metadata and designers, simply use FBP folios small test to check their work. When all files are made and verified using the appropriate folio import folder structure the person who manages the sidecar will create the final folio in FBP, which should be published, using the sidecar file.

  • PNG transparent edges are jagged when publishing

    Hello!

I created a number of transparent PNGs, looking well in Captivate, until I publish, and then the edges look jagged, these are images of 8 bits, but they are not. The colors are too junky. BUT they look good in Captivate until I publish. Am I missing a setting?

    DELETE.png

Please, change the quality of the slide. On you screenshot I see that you have kept the default Low 8 bits and which translates this poor quality. This default quality, which will be hopefully replaced by optimized in a near future, leads to a small size but is not good enough in many cases. And PNG that support the necessary transparency quality. Optimized IMO is the best choice, but you can also try one of the other (high, JPEG).

  • Animate CC cannot publish with PNG inside

    Hello world

I try to make animatings using PNG32 on canvas files. But I can only show those on a host. Local preview does not work. Even when I integrate it within a mobile application, it still does not. It only works if I put it online. Is this normal? I thought that host preview were made only of WebGL, not for the Web files.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Here are examples:

    http://blenoir.fr/animatecc/Trajectoire/Avion.html

It is a security issue if you used some spritesheets. Under publication, clear the option of spritesheets. Then it should operate locally.

  • Adding objects to background jpg png?

I got a signature of author to put on photos that I publish or print.  It was sent to me in the format .png with a gray background, which seems to me to be transparent.  I tried to change the color of the text, but could not in the file I was sent.

I would like to know how I can add this signature to a jpeg file once I edited the photo for publication?  I would be able to change the color of the text in this place so it fits the color of the photo?

I use OS x 10.11.4, so I can no longer use iPhotos and must work with the Photos app, which is very limited with regard to the use of photos as e-mail attachments or put them on Web sites.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Photos can't stand graphic composition.  You cannot combine photos inPhotos.  You will need an external editor to add your signature to your JPEG file. You can do a preview, for example.

    • Open the image with your signature, enter ⌘A to select all, enter ⌘C to copy the selection, and then open the JPEG and paste the signature into the other photo.  Drag it to the desired position. and drag the corners to resize it.

You can call preview directly from the Panel of photo editing, if you buy the "external editors" extension of the AppStore. The current price is 99 cents.

  • HP Officejet 4630: Margins in Microsoft Publisher printer problem - 4630

Just bought a new printer (see above).  I use Microsoft Publisher a lot and have had no problem with fixing the previous HP printer margins.   It does not work with this printer.    I put a.5 pour.55 for low high margins and left and right margins.  Worked fine in another printer.  Also, the images will not print completely.

A decided to test the image on the page white and copied from the original page, and then glued on the blank page and pasted it in the exact area on the page, but when I printed, the image printed at the top of the page.  Crazy.  In addition, the picture is not all there.  For some reason, she is enlarged but part of it is missing.

I test this in Microsoft Word, same thing with the size of the image, but he did copy and paste correctly.

I just bought this printer and really upset.  I'm wasting so much paper to document student.

I thank in advance and hope you have an answer.

I answer to my previous post.  Even if I couldn't find the part where I set margins to reduce to a minimum, which apparently isn't serious.  I was able to keep my 0.5 for the left, top and right and 0.55 for the bottom.

The problem was with the images, so I tried different ways to bring in the images.  I had to remove the images in the document of the registered editor, then started using the "Snipping Tool" in Windows 7.  What I've been able to do with the previous printers, is just COPY what I have snipped and paste it into the editor.  That didn't work, so then I tried to save a .jpg file.  Still had a bit of trouble, so saved as .png.   Well, now I can add my text to the images and it keeps the sizes.

I think I'll try the .jpg stresses out me again I was really with all printing and paper waste, so I might have missed that .jpg would actually work.  Doesn't make sense that he would not, but it is not supposed that I can't paste the copy of the Snipping Tool, either.

Boy, you wish that the print heads had not come out on my previous HP printer.  It was great.

Thanks for trying to help me.

Now, I don't know how to set this as resolved because I do not see this option here. then let me know, please, how to do this.

  • HP Officejet e4630: new printer prints images in Microsoft Publisher wrong.

Hello.  I had to get a new printer and choose the HP Officejet e4630.  It's a simple printer, as I work as well, now.

I create my documents to distribute lessons in Microsoft Publisher (2003) and includes images in tutorials.  I usually do the parts of the software to screen captures and simply copy and paste in the editor.   Never had a problem like this before.

Now, when I print documents, the images are HUGE and out of the page.  I resize and they look great on the screen, but come out terrible when printing.

I just had a class with several pages of documents to distribute up-to-date and had to make a PDF file and take to my husband printer to print, since there is the program I use to create.  Is not acceptable and does not know what the problem is.  I even took the screen shot and saved as .jpg, png, etc. and inserted in my editor program and that made no difference.

Configure the printer makes no sense to me and options have locks on them, so I am at a loss.

I bought the 21/08/15 and don't know if I can return it, so if you have answers for me, I certainly would appreciate it.  I really hate the return of products.

    Thank you.

Oh gosh, I had given up on the Forum because it's been a while since I posted.  What I did was contact HP support and finished with a person to enter in my remote computer and checking the settings, etc.  What she ended up doing updates to the software (I thought that I did when I installed it, duh!) and then it worked fine.

Thank you for your advice and will keep it in mind if needed, next time.

Now, I'll post this message and then come back here and hope that I find the original so I can mark it as resolved.  I always so bad to find my original message when signing.  The forums are confusing to me, this way.

    Thank you very much.

    ====================================
Try to rename the filters... and then reinstall HP2000.

Since the graphics filters are shared files, resettlement
a program without first renaming the filters will not
    Update (replace) filters.

    JPEG - JPEGIM32 filter. FLT
    Filter GIF - GIFIMP32. FLT
    WMF - WMFIMP32 filter. FLT
    Filter PNG - PNG32. FLT
    TIFF - TIFFIM32 filter. FLT
    Filter EPS - EPSimp32.FLT
    PCX - PCXIMP32 filter. FLT
    Filter BMP - BMPIMP32. FLT

Do a search for. FLT or try the following path:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt

    Right click / Rename filters:
    JPEGIM32. FLT at JPEGIM32. OLD
    GIFIMP32. FLT at GIFIMP32. OLD

The WMF filter may also be a problem:
    WMFIMP32. FLT at WMFIMP32. OLD

In fact, it couldn't hurt to rename them all.

    Good luck.

  • The video file can be published to the specified location. Check that the publishing location is still available, that there is enough free space on the disk, and then republish the movie again.

It happened once before, but it somehow went away after I restarted my laptop. I restarted my laptop, this time, but it has not worked.

OK, so I just finished put a video together. It consists of a Hypercam 2 record (which means it's a .avi file), a PNG image, text and a song (which is a WMA file).

    I save the file, and then click Publish Movie. Everything goes well until the last step where the video is actually published. The window made a break for a while before you receive the following message;

I know there are a lot of free space on the drive on my laptop (it's an Inspiron 1520), and that there is nothing wrong with any of my files. I tried to change places without result. It simply doesn't get it. It would be a great help to me if someone could tell me what is the problem :)

Check the file formats that you had inserted in movie maker. You might have used files that are not supported by the Director.
    Photo: jpg, png, bmp
    For video: WMV, AVI
    Music: mp3, wav, wma

Note: If you use google for formats of files supported by Windows Movie Maker, you will find that the list is much longer than what I've listed. This is because I find those on my list are the most reliable and you don't have to worry about not having the right codec for files.

Low resolution when the Director is published

Things you might want to check...

    1. Please make sure the files that you have imported into movie maker are formats supported by the Director.
Use jpg, png or bmp format for images/photos...
Video clips for... .use WMV (some would say that you are a little more. I use nothing but WMV formats)

    2. Director open > tools > Options > advanced...

  • Windows Photo Viewer stopped opening PNG files

Using Windows 7, 64 bit. Windows Photo Viewer no longer displays one. PNG file. He has always worked in the past. I get the error message

Windows Photo Viewer cannot open this picture because the file seems corrupted, altered, or is too large.

A similar message is obtained from Windows Live Photo Gallery

Microsoft Picture Manager is OK, like paint, Irfanview, Picasa and many other programs.

I've updated MS .NET to 4.5 as suggested in another post.

This also affects the ability of the Explorer to display thumbnails when the photo viewer is the default program for PNG.

Your system ceased to display PNG files after Microsoft Update KB2670838 was delivered to your computer through Windows updates in late February 2013.

Software developers cannot possibly predict all future updates that Microsoft will make to its operating system or applications. Do us, however, solve the problems when they occur and publish updates as necessary.

A more reasonable notice might suggest looking for an update of the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack instead of pointing the finger and recommending other users to uninstall our product that if it turns out, was not directly responsible for the issue.

You also do not mention that uninstall the FastPictureViewer Codec Pack - while setting the PNG issue you know - also disabled Explorer thumbnails and previews of the Windows for Adobe PSD, EPS Photo Viewer, I and the other 40 formats support us.

The compatibility problem that resulted from the installation of KB2670838 was identified and corrected since, as well as another problem of compatibility that is revealed only after the release of Microsoft Office 2013.

  • FM2015 - suddenly, FM will display all .png, jpg or gif images! Help?

Ran v13.0.1.385 when it arrived today and have loaded updated to 13.0.4.532 where it still happens.

(NOTE: what happens on my main PC (Windows 7).) I have a laptop (Windows 8) that is also running 13.0.1.385 and the problem is * not * be there.)

Worked on a few pounds, when suddenly, one of the documents shows the dialog box "can not display imported graphics" and showed a gray box. Usually, this happens when too much is running (in the past, at least) and FM would get cranky.

Closed everything, rebooted, started to frame, open book, same problem - some images were the gray boxes (size of the anchored frame), some are black rectangles (size of the original image in the frame), and some have shown that the upper part of the image and the rest was black.

Has taken a screenshot of the sample, stored in different formats, then imported the images into my doc to see what will happen:

    • .gif - displays the top of page 1/5 of the image, then the rest is pink
    • .jpg - shows the top of page 1/10 of the image, and then the rest is black
    • .PNG - displays the top of page 1/20 on image, then the rest is black
    • .bmp - shows very well
    • .PDF - shows very well
    • . TIF - poster very well
    • .PSD - shows very well
    • . VSD - poster very well

The properties of the object for each image are correct (they are all in the same folder).

If I double-click the offensive images, they appear well in Viewer photos Windows (.jpg/.png) or IE (.gif).

If I change with an application (for example, Photoshop), they open fine for publishing.

If I print the document in pdf format, the images will be displayed as indicated above (gif/jpg/png appear as boxes of pink/black), all others appear very well.

    Help? PLEASE?

    :-)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Sidenote: Since these are the only types of image using the default Windows Photo Viewer watch a program, I thought I'd pass the default settings of Photoshop, to keep everything "in family". Cannot change the default, stays in the Windows Photo Viewer.

    OTHER STUPID SOFTWARE!

I downloaded a software yesterday that I needed for the work, do not remember what it was. He installed an application (without telling me) who was supposed to be a malware scanner. (Just saw him in "Uninstall or change a program").

Uninstalled. (Don't remember the name, sorry.)

In the framework, and display images fine now. PDF generates very well now.

    Sorry for the grief.

SOLUTION to THE PROBLEM: what frame suddenly begins to * not * do what he did very well, check if new applications have been installed and remove them to see if they are the cause of the problem.

  • SVG or PNG? Who is today's standard?

I hope it's OK to do - I would like to do a survey of all kinds. While learning Web design, the standard was PNG/JPEG or GIF formats. However... getting into the mac, with screens retina... and you can run into problems of clarity. It was then that I discovered SVG. So my question is, is there a time and a place for SVG or that must now be the norm, when it is possible? I'm afraid to record images in SVG, simply because other formats have been drilled in me for so long, that it almost feels wrong to always use the SVG. Almost too easy.

Obviously, there will always be situations where PNG/JPEG or GIF is the favorite, but should I reformat my way of thinking and always under type or SVG vector images?

What is your go - to for the WEB vector format:

    • SVG
    • JPEG/PNG/GIF

So my question is, is there a time and a place for SVG...?

Yes.  SVG is perfect for logos, icons, shapes, the line drawings & text but you will still need to the PNG or JPG for photos & bitmaps.   Do not try to convert the bitmaps in SVG either.  You'll end up just with bad quality and the huge file size.

JIVE, the system running this forum, does not support SVG.  More than most online shopping carts, Blogger and CMSs much.   The flavors of the usual image - PNG, JPG and GIF are all you can use.

I tried to insert inline SVG code in a post from Blogger, but the publisher insisted on the closure of each tag self-closing like this

wrong and thus do not make properly.  If the systems you use will certainly impact your ability to use SVG.
