Port of modem 7010CT Portege?

The 7010 ct built in modem?
If Yes, where is the interface.
If this isn't the case, I guess I have to buy one and it fit in slot 0 or 1 on the left side. Assume that they are all compatible?
Thank you

Hello

I found the information that your device has no internal modem. You're right about option PCMCIA. I put t think that there should be no problem using the PCMCIA.

During the installation of the operating system that you will get a yellow question mark in Device Manager when you install the modem before applying the audio driver "Reg-Files. For Windows 98, I had double click on Aliid98.reg in the folder for the audio driver on the CD T & D to add information about the modem driver. For Windows XP and Windows 2000, I think that you need to double click on Aliid.reg in the folder for the audio driver on the T & D CD to add the information to the modem driver. • No Audio or USB ports with Port Replicator 3 and Portege R600

I have a problem between my Port Replicator 3 (PA3681E-2PRP) and my Portege R600-13 X (Win7 Pro 32-bit). Everything has been working well for the past few months until a week ago. My PC has developed a problem then that plugged on the Port Replicator, it will not recognize something new that is connected to the USB (two PC & Replicator ones) ports, the Replicator audio output no longer works and the PC hangs during shutdown. Everything is OK with the PC when booted without the Replicator, but as soon as it is connected to the port replicator, in this case.

I tried looking for information about this problem, but nothing helps... Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated as it is to set up a business and I need it to work properly.

    A few things to try:

Reinstall the Toshiba Value Added Package.
Use system restore to restore Windows to a previous state.
Check the connector for docking station for damage.
Back up your data and perform the recovery.

If its still does not, then I would send the laptop and the Port Replicator Port for an ASP for repair.

  • Portege M200: big screen via the port replicator

I have a Portege M200 with APR III. I realized that the DVI Jack does not work with it, even if for some reason any, even though they are not supposed to all other ports don't. EACH of them!

What I'm asking today is how the hell can I get the laptop out on the big screen through the APR? I tried everything, it has the chipset nVidia go 5200 FX (which is able to output DVI according to nVidia)

I just got a Philips 20 "widescreen TFT and got tired of watching her in the stretched standard resolutions.

One of my friends has also Tosh lappy, but it's a Tecra 9100, which will be released on the big screen without any questions whatever it is standard, it appears as an option in the Billboard settins. In addition, nVidia say that this chipset is capable of custom resolutions, but I can't find it in the updated anywhere driver.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

Well the Tecra9100 is not a Portege M200. Are completely different books.
The M200 protected does not support these interfaces.
This is a technical limitation, that the port of mouse PS/2 keyboard PS/2 port, serial port, I Link (Firewire) port and DVI port
will be not supported on the Advanced Port Replicator III, if a protected M200 is moored.

The following ports are supported and can be used:
Line-in Jack, taken Line-out, USB port, port external monitor, parallel port, taken Modem, LAN jack, DC IN 15V, housing for security lock, locking the computer.
In the documentation for the Advanced Port Replicator III is a 'fact sheet for III Advanced Port Replicator"sheet where this limitation is descripted.

  • Portege R500: What DVI port duplicator would be compatible

    Hello

Does anyone know what DVI port duplicator supports the portege R500 laptop.
When I look at the product and its accessories none of the replicators of ports lists the portege R500 as a notebook taken in charge.

Maybe there isn't one right now?

    Hello

I also used the Web from Toshiba site Options & accessories search and found the following:

-Dynadock - USB Universal Docking Station with video (DVI) Phase 2 PA3542E-2PRP
    -Slim Port Replicator 2 PA3603E-1PRP
-USB 2.0 Port Replicator II (Ethernet / EU Version) PX1173E-1PRP

If you need additional information on these individual devices then simply google for these reference numbers.

  • Portege M200: serial port does not work with port replicator

    Hello
    I have a Tablet m200 and the top mentioned dock/replication PA3314-1PRP port.
As the M200 has no serial port (rs232), I want to use the one on the docking station, but it is not recognized as a device on my tablet.

Thew network connections and usb ports all work fine and the lpt port is shown in Device Manager. I have restored the Tablet and it still does not recognize the serial port.
How can I get this port recognized so that I can use it.

    Thank you very much
    Lee

    Hello Lee

I just, I can confirm that when you use the Replicator port advanced III with Portege M200 several ports do not work. Problem is that Portege M200 does not support these interfaces.

This is a technical limitation and the port of mouse PS/2 port keyboard PS/2, serial port, I.Link (Firewire) port and DVI port will not be supported when Portege M200 is anchored on the Advanced Port Replicator III. :(

  • How to install the multi-port modem in the guest OS?

I installed a multi-port (Rocket Modem IV) modem in the operating system (Win2003) to the host, and he created 4 modem on COM3, 4, 5 and 6.  When I start a guest OS (Win2003), I couldn't see these 4 COM ports.  I see that COM1 and COM2.  How can I make the guest OS recognize these 4 port modem?  Several modem port is supported in VMWare Server 2?  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

Tell you that if you add a port series via the menu adding hardware to the web user interface, then it offers only com1 and com2 in the drop-down list on physical host ports to map to? I haven't seen myself that I never need to use the serial port on the host, but if this is the case, try stop the virtual machine and change the line "serial0.fileName" in the .vmx for the virtual machine.

Multi-port modem will not explicitly supported, but are past through serial ports.

  • Satellite A30, Win XP Pro SP3 - modem does not work

Another problem with this laptop Satellite A30
The built-in modem does not work.

    * Explanation: *.
The driver is correct and downloaded from the Toshiba support site.
The modem is identified as "Toshiba software modem amr" and is installed on com3 port.

When I click on "diagnosis" and "ask modem" (right labels can be different, since my is an Italian win xp, I just translated the Italian labels), a window pops up saying: it is impossible to open the door (port), the modem is connected to.

I tried to change the com port of the modem to different numbers, but the problem is the same.
I don't know if the modem is a real map connected somehow to the main Board or is built right on the main map. It would be the first case, I may change see ad. BTW, the mini slot pci is already occupied by the gigabyte of Wi - Fi, so the modem must be elsewhere.

This is strange, since I've done at least 2 other win xp pro on this machine facilities, always download and install the appropriate drivers, and the modem has never worked.
    Thank you
    S.

    Hello

Have you installed the SP3 Windows XP Home edition, then the drivers or SP1 and later updated to level to the SP3 version?
    > It's strange, because I did it at least 2 other facilities on this machine pro win xp
    What other facilities?

  • New driver USB on my laptop Portege of loading

I have problems with a site I subscribe to who went through an upgrade.

The website said that the problems were because he was a blocker adware on the cell, preventing the load correctly the site.

I deleted all suspicious looking for programs, and although the site now works perfectly when I go to eject a USB device instead of seeing the listed devices I see...

To work around this, I tried to reload the driver USB from Toshiba, but I get the following message:

A later version of Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 host controller driver is already installed on the machine.
    The implementation cannot continue.

I need to remove the driver completely then re - install?

    > when I go to eject a USB device instead of seeing the devices listed, I see...

I'm afraid that your message isn't clear enough of m.
What problems do you have exactly with USB ports?
You can use all the USB devices connected to USB ports?

What Portege laptop and how Windows system you have exactly?

The USB driver that you found seems to be already installed on your laptop and the new facility isn't necessary.

However, please answer my questions above for more information on the issue.

  • Portege M400: no widescreen resolution external (1360 x 768)

I'm trying to get an external LCD TV with a native resolution 1360 x 768 connected to the external VGA port of my Toshiba Portege M400. This only works with the external to a resolution of 1024 x 768. Wide screen resolutions are simply not available in the graphics options. I tried also with Powerstrip, but I did not get to 1360 x 768. With another laptop I did.

According to the specifications of the Intel 945 GM chipset, it should support the wide screen resolutions. It seems to be just a gap of the Toshiba drivers. Is there a solution to this problem?
    Marijn

    Hi Marijn

I saw the other ad where you have posted on the same theme and unfortunately; There is nothing to see!
It seems that the driver doesn't support this resolution. Not every screen resolution is listed in the graphics drivers.
If the graphics driver doesn t supports your favorite resolution if you have some many possibilities. You have to choose and use an available screen resolution.

  • Recommend a DVD - RW for my Portege R400

    Hello

I am a newbie and unfortunately not hot with computers either. So I hope that you will understand what I am trying to explain my frustration level is at it's highest.

I have a Portege R400 and then still have been able to find an external DVD - RW writer. I went through two DVD burners, one being a Sony that never seem to go further than to try to install the disk that came with it. The other a HP took 4 hours to install and has not finished yet so I turned off and tried at all times with the same problem each time. The two products were returned to the store which was good, but now I have so many movies on my laptop that I need to burn it to CD to watch and cannot do.

Whereas now throw the laptop out the window, as here in the Canada in stores can help me! In a store, I ask the salegirls for DVD burners it I looked with love and after 3 minutes to digest what I asked happily answered "we sell only the quarters!" Now what am I supposed to do with this answer?

Any help is greatly appreciated, and I apologize for not being more savvy with this kind of thing.

    Thanks again.

    Hello

You have them connected via the USB port of your laptop Portege?

  • Satellite A100: USB and Modem does not

    Hello!

My name is Clarisse and I have a Satellite A100, which I use for school. I'm having a problem with its usb ports and modem.
When I try to connect to the internet, he just say he of no tone and tells me to ensure that lines are connected, who they are and the phone line works certainly, as I checked with my PC and I also checked the phone if it was busy, it wasn't.

I then try again and a window appears and says that there is something wrong with my modem, how can I fix?

The other issue is my usb ports who refuse to work, they can't recognize anything I plug (for example, bluetooth adapter, flashdisk, ipod) even though they are installed!

However, the strange thing is that when I plug in my printer it connects and does its job:(je suis tellement confus et scolaires est devrait commencer bientôt.)

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you
    Clarisse

    Hello

In my opinion the modem connection does not work due to the modem settings.
Go to Device Manager and select the properties of the modem.
Please select the Modem tab. You will find the option "wait tone before dialing." You must disable (uncheck) this option.

I guess that the USB ports cannot recognize the external USB ports because of the power.
The USB ports provide 500mA. It is a standard USB. If external devices use a power greater than 500 ma, so it is possible that the device may not be recognized.

In such cases, the USB hub with an external power supply can solve these problems.
