    Hello

Sorry if the question is already asked.

My friend has purchase DVD Ultimate to windows 7. There two which is 32-bit and 64-bit. But there is only one product key. A PC is already installed with 64-bit windows with this product key. If one pc to another is eligible for the installation of 32-bit windows with the same product key? Is this possible?

If it is not possible, then why have 2 CD?

    Thank you.

They are different architectures.  Use 64-bit 4 GB or more of RAM, 32 bit for 3 GB or less RAM.

You can install one at a time.

    Clean reinstall Windows 10.

  • Update on power supply for m9650f

Does anyone have a recommendation for a power supply in the range of 600W they know works in the m9650f?  I want to update my video to a card ti 560 gtx requiring at least a PSU 500W with + 12 volt current rated for 30 amps.  I tried a power supply modular Thermaltake 775W (much more capacity I need, but the price was decent), but when I installed it, the machine would not start, publish, or display all errors, even with the original of the installed video card.  When I put the original PSU in the machine with the original card video, just booted normally.  Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Corsair HX650 should work and you should have plenty of expansion capability that this power has 52 amps on 12V + rail.  I use HX 650 in my PC and I have the same motherboard as the m9650f.

Corsair VX 550 has 41 amps on 12V + rail

Corsair CX 600 has 40 amps on 12V + rail

Corsair CX 500 has 34 amps on 12V + rail

  • X 220 power Supply & external DVD RW Question

    Hi all

I decided to replace my old laptop, a ten year old IBM Thinkpad X 22 (Yes, really, do not die these things, they just keep on going!) and replace it with a Lenovo Thinkpad X 220, I just bought on eBay second hand.

I know in ten years apart accessories I have for X 22 do not work on the X 220, but before I order a second power supply I was wondering if this is also the same with the power supply? I don't know how many feeds change mobile to mobile and thought that I could just check here before ordering a second I can go to work.

I am antipating issues software installation without a DVD player, so I'll probably buy an external one - just double once again looking for peace of mind, but I guess I can boot from it and also watch DVD movies without any problem?

Thank you in advance and my apologies for the fundamental nature of those questions ;-)

    Stu.

There are essentially two types of adapters CA / CC. The old type that uses your X 22 is 16Vcc. The new type that uses your X 220 out of 20 v DC. They are not interchangeable, physically or electrically. There are several subtypes in the range of adapter according to the output power of 65W, 90W 20VDC, etc.

The 65W adapter will supply the X 220. It is preferable to travel because it is smaller and lighter than the 90W. However on some systems, including the 220 X when using CPU can slow down in order to keep the power (*). You know the nominal power of the adapter supplied with your X 220? If you plan to use the X 220 especially when it's plugged in, then I suggest the 90W unit is preferable.

In regards to the DVD player I don't see why you couldn't start to leave or read DVDs. I can do both with an external USB DVD drive on my X61s.

  • NB100 no usb not power - how to reset

The NB 100 has 2 usb ports on the right side. I tried plugging in an external cd drive and got a box with red indicator of the background task bar indicating something on the device of drawing too much power and that the supply would be stopped.
Since then the usb ports 'appear' dead. Nothing I plug is recognized by the NB100.

It is said in the user's manual if it is found an overload of the power to the usb ports can be stopped. However, it does not say how to reset ports IE power to 'em.

The card reader and the usb port on the left front work yet.

I tried the update of the BIOS to the latest 2.10, affecting all the parameters of the default bios with F2 at startup and even bought "Device Driver" to make sure that all drivers are up-to-date.

Can anyone help? I don't know there is a simple answer but just don't see it.

Ideally, I would like to avoid having to reinstall XP because I do not have the disk and the hard disk does not appear to have a XP partition.

    Help!

    Hello

In your case, I recommend to remove the /hub of /controller of the USB port on the Device Manager.
Simply go to the Device Manager, expand the area of USB controller and remove all the devices that are available in this area.

After restarting again, the system (Win XP in your case) should recognize the USB ports and the driver must be installed again.
Then restart once again connect a USB device and check if it can help

Just for info: USB 2.0 ports provide 500mA so in some cases the external USB device would not detected when this device would need more than the usual 500mA. In this case this device must be connected to two USB ports using a USB Y cable or use an external power supply, as do some USB hubs.

  • Minimum required power - PowerVault MD3260

I hope that this will be a quick question. Everywhere where I saw - the need for power to the PowerVault MD3260 is listed as 220V AC, auto range, we try to help a client in their CAMP in a rack of 50 Hz / 60 Hz - power technician on-site believes that power AC 30 AMP in 208V works any chance someone could confirm or refute that for us? Thanks in advance!

    Hello DanRaneyDell,

Your 208 v circuit that you have installed will work as long as the circuit is presented as a 220v to your MD3260.  Here is a link to our power Planner so that you can see how the system will draw power.  essa.us.dell.com/.../DCCP.aspx

  • HPE-340uk confused PSU

OK if im getting a GTX550ti and need amps 24 + and + 12 volt however when I looked at the PSU, it was so confusing I never knew what to use and see if I can manage the GC

I got these and noted the

    Output = 5.08v, 25A

    MaxPower = 12vA - 18

Max combined power = 12vA (then lights up with one bunch of others like that + and 12vA)

    Max combined power we = + 3, 3V

IM like totally confused by all these how know what volts is using my power etc.

    Hello

HP sometimes used several tracks (also called several buses) to provide electricity 12 volts.

    You probably see something like:

    12vA = 18 a---> rail 'A' is rated at 18 amps

    12vB = 15A---> 'B' rail is rated at 15 amps

Some manufacturers use the designation 12v1 and 12v2 ect...

When an auxiliary power supply pin PCI-E power connectors 6, then supply 12 volts provided on a single rail system detaches a common source.  On a mutiple 12 volts (rail) power bus with PCI-E power connectors 6-pin, then PCI-E power connectors 6 pins be powered by different rails.

There is always a debate about who is better; a single or multiple rail supply rail.  Construction and design often times plays a role with the quality of the power supply.  The same manufacturer can produce both power supplies to single and multiple rail for different purposes.

A power in peak supply can not be the same as the maximum sustained power rating.  The side of the Ridge may simply be the handset mathematical additions of the power of each voltage source. The maximum continuous power is more thoughtful of the time whose power can maintain specifications with the maximum load applied.

A concrete example is the 4850 AMD who came into the e9280t of HP.  AMD specifies a minimum 450 Watt with a PCI-E power connector 6 power supply pins.  The e9280t of HP came with the power of 460 watt with two 12 volt rails assessed as in the example above and a 6 pin PCI-E power connector.

You should be good to go with the GTX 550 TI and 460 watt power into your PC.

With output power in 24V - 3 to 3.5 amps, I don't think. If you the intensity a bit late is not a big problem, but if you are not getting enough components amps will surely suffer. But during the amplification them isn't really useful either. Can see if you could find a car adapter that has a power of 5 amps, with a range that remains inside the volts as well. Would work very well then.

  • IOMEGA 1 TB USB 2.0 EGO

I have lost the power of this backup drive, IOMEGA 1 TB USB 2.0 eGO.

I have a SEAGATE PSU rated at 2 amps but the IOMEGA is rated at 1.5 amps.

Can the power of the amp SEAGATE 2.0 be used?

If not, where can I get a replacement power supply for 1.5 amp for the IOMEGA?

    Hi OLDMAN1938,

I would not recommend using a power supply which does not meet the specifications of the device from Iomega. Unfortunately, we do not have power supplies for sale. I recommend finding an electronics store that has a power supply according to the specifications of the eGo, or you can look online for a replacement power.

  • X 51 R3 with cards gtx 10 x 0?

    Hi all

I have a r3 watercooled with card stock gtx 970 alienware.  I use it with a live htc for development purposes, so that the machine will tend to be supported throughout the day.

I'm intetested playing with some of the new features of nvidia, I'm looking at upgrading the dsra to one or the other gtx1070 or if I can a gtx1080.

To be more efficient with the power I can I have replaced the hard drive for an SSD and I am tempted to temove wifi + bt card as I fon can't need for this platform.  I can't think of something more that I can in that respect to the power draw.

I'm fine with temoving fan until I have the flat sitting pc instead of a tower.

I see that the 1080 has 180w with 1070 to 150 w peak power.  The current gtx970 is 145w so I think that a 1070 must be fine power of sage.  I'm not so sure the 1080 so wrt power.

What are the other ppls re electricity and heat dissapation thoughts?

As an old pc gamer to come back into the fold, what brand of card gtx 10 x 0 tends to run cooler?

Unfortunately, Dell does not have to validate video 10 x 0 cards in the X 51 series. My thoughts... you may not use any video card retail that uses more on our 330w power supply 150w so 150w 1070 is OK. The 1070 is 10.5 "if she is not suitable unless you remove the front fan PCI. You can also buy a double 6-pin power single 8 pin converter. I don't know what heat issues could arise in the absence of the PCI fan.

Watch this video on the 1070 and the X 51 series.
Watch this video on the 1080 in X 51 - R2 for instructions that apply.

  • PSU HELP CONSULTING

    I have a P4 of 8000T - P8657A Pressario 3.0 800/mhz 3Gb PC3200 Ram card mother Asus P4SD - THE with 2 hard drives, 2 optical, several PCI cards and usb devices.

I am in the process of upgrading the card AGP and PSU. My OEM ATX PSU Hi Pro 5187-1098 number measured 20 a 3.3v & 5v rails of 30 a with a 12v 14A rail.  I'm looking to the 80 + 400Cx Corsair and OCZ 400w PSU effeciency and they have a lot less energy on track 3.3V and 5v and a lot more power on 12v rails. (Rails 3.3V 20a and 5v 20A, 30A 12v corsair)   OCZ 3, 3V 24A, 15 5V, 12v1 17A, 12v2 14.  MY QUESTION IS I need power on the 3.3 and 5 volt rails PSU OEM supplied or the Corsair and OCZ will work well?   Thanks Edjal

I recommend getting a power single rail good amperage at least 400W and it will be fine.

You won't have to worry about connections or voltage.

The Corsair and OCZ are good power supplies. I think that corsair would be a slightly more favourable choice depending on who you choose.

  • Possible to remove the rechargeable battery (battery) for a long time?

I have laptop Satellite U940. Is it possible to remove the rechargeable battery, for example, for several months, while I use the laptop with external power only? Is - harmful to the battery?

When I'm at home, I usually use the laptop with external power supply only. I rarely need to the rechargeable battery.

Of course, it is possible and you can do it, but I really put t know if it's so important. Long time ago, that it has a meaning, but today, when the laptop uses the latest battery technology something like this is unnecessary.

I have old Satellite P200 and he is 5 years old. I ve never removed battery and even now I can use the laptop almost 2 hours on battery power (depends on the supply and usage parameters).

My advice is to use your laptop with battery and from time to time it is empty. These circles are good for the life of the battery.

  • HP Envy 700-311na: a GTX 1060 will agree and will work in my PC?

    Hello!

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU one AMD Radeon R9 270 the new GTX 1060 (or other).

I understand that there are several versions of a GPU and I don't know what is best for my PC. I'm especially afraid the 1060 does not fit into my PC.

Here is a link to my PC and its specifications: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04343334

    Here is a link on the 1060 GTX that interests me now: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01IPFMVCQ/ref=s9_simh_gw_g147_i1_r?ie=UTF8 & fpl = fresh & pf_rd_m = A3...

    Thank you

Since it is small and tight. You want the kind of style of card fan. If you don't get that kind. You are trapping just hot air inside your case and will make the card running more hot. I have a GTX 1080 founders edition in mine and it fits well.

Now, you know for SURE!  If you go with the 1070. Change the power supply. I had the same stock 500w version in mine. As you know. It has a 8 pins and power connectors 6 pin with this power supply. The 1080 requires an 8 pin. So, I plugged this in there.

When I put a load on it. My PC will restart. I knew it was a power supply problem. So, I tried to take the 2 6 pin power plug and those with the power adapter 8 pin supplied with the card used. While it worked. There was a groan of excessive coil of card and he ran hotter inside.

I imagine pushing the stock PSU to many. I changed out immediately after that a SuperNOVA P2 EVGA 650w PSU and its dead silent now.

No equipment issues at all. Photo attached.

    Hello Ally

In my opinion there must be some problem with electronic power which controls the supply. The strange thing is that the battery can discharge while the unit is connected to the power running.

In my opinion, you should also check power management settings. Is it possible that disable HDD is set to low balance time?
