  Printer: HP Officejet 6500

  Crazy question: How can I prevent the solution Center popping up when someone sends a job to print wirelessly from another computer?

  Indeed, it appears to most solutions times. My computer is connected by USB cable, 3 others can send print jobs via the wireless.  Suddenly someone of another print job force the Solution Center to appear on my screen and interrupts my work.

  I'm looking for a way to prevent pop up unless I'm out of a job my machine.

  • If you share the printer on your network, you should consider turning off the sharing feature.

  I'm not at all sure that this would cause the issue you see, but it could be a side effect of something that is kicking the alerts of ink on one job other than the one you issue your system.

• HP Officejet 6500 710N: 6500 spool question?

  I had problems with my laptop and the printer communicating.  It will print fine for a while then all of a sudden, she leaves print, says I'm not connected etc.  I unplug everything including the wireless router, turn it back on it, nothing.  Then a few days later, all of a sudden he was going to start printing.  It happened again yesterday so I finally uninstalled, re-installed the printer, now when I go to print, the icon indicates the printer is there, but when I on the printer it says nothing in the print queue.  I tried to download a windows driver, no help.  I tried to connect the wired cable and the connection does not seem to happen as he repeats to me plug wired plugin, even if it is plugged.

  I understand that you are experiencing intermittent wireless printing problems and now impossible to install your HP Officejet 6500 has more e-all-in-one printer E710n as your Windows 7 computer cannot find the IP address of your printer. I would like to work with you today with the resolution of this problem. I believe, rather than what is a virus problem, there may be a setting on your router or your computer that may block your printer intermittently. It is actually quite common and does not mean that something is wrong with your computer or router, this simply means that the security of your network may be doing its job too well and it is to see the printer as a threat attempts to access the network. To correct any potential network and install questions please do I you follow the steps below.

  Step 1: Powercycle network:

  1. start by unplugging the power cable to your router
  2. Once your router is unplugged, turn your printer off
  3. then, shut down your computer
  4. after 30 seconds to 1 minute, reconnect your router back in
  5. then turn on your printer
  6 turn on the computer

  After a few minutes, check your computer to see if the internet works again. Try to browse a few websites to ensure that the internet works correctly. Once you are able to navigate to Web sites, continue to the next step.

  Step 2: Check of connectivity:

  

  1. On your printer control panel to the right and select the configuration button
  2. Then, select the network menu
  3. Select View Network Summary
  4. Select the wireless mode
  5. Make a note of the IP address that appears
  6. On your Windows 7 computer, open the internet browser
  7. Type the IP address in the address bar at top. Do not include www.
  8. Press search
  • If a Web site for your printer (browser EWS) open it means that your printer and your computer are 'talk' wireless. Please click here to download the drivers for your printer. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top. Please follow through the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.
  • If the Web site for your printer does not that mean that your printer and computer are not 'talk' wireless. Please continue with the troubleshooting steps below.

  Step 3: MSCONFIG:

  There may be a program that runs in the background on your computer which can block wireless communication. I have to you temporarily disable the background programs running on your computer to see if everything installs and functions properly.

  1. Click on the Start menu
  2. In the box "search programs and files" just above start, type msconfig and press enter on your keyboard
  3. When the System Configuration window opens select ' selective startup' and uncheck load startup items
  4. Click the Services tab, check the box at the bottom to hide all Microsoft Services
  5. Select turn off all the
  6. Select apply and OK
  7. Computer restart when prompted
  8. When your computer turns on, please try to access the site of printers with the printers IP address again. If the site to load properly, please click here to download the drivers for your printer. Once the drivers download, please do run with the steps on the screen to install your printer.
  9. Test your printer to verify if 'offline' messages appear.
  10. If everything is working properly, restart your computer
  11. When your computer turns please try again to print.

• Answer question 6500 wireless fax

  I was just off a cannon MFP HP 6500, instructions aren't really good!

  My question is that the HP can be set to auto-answer, which is a pain when you also have an answering machine connected to the line, so I turned off auto-answer, I just used the land line and noticed the MFP out of Eve as Canon has done, this means that the 6500 will listen to the line (even with auto answer off) and if she hears a fax carrier will pick up? I hope that the answer is Yes and that's what would make the gun, but there is no mention of this feature in all the instructions I've read.

  Hi David,

  I work for HP and noticed your post. Since I am familiar with the printer you mentioned, I thought I will answer you.

  This printer will be picking up the incoming fax when he hears the fax tone, even if the line was actually answered by the answering machine. So that this works, there are a few conditions.

  (1) the printer should be set to auto answer. Is there a button to auto-answer on the right side of the front of the printer next to the switch.

  The fire must be turned on.

  (2) the number of rings must be set higher than the answering machine.

  If the answering machine takes up to 2 rings on the printer 3 or more rings. (This will essentially turn on listening)

  The number of rings can be set by pressing the setup button on the front panel of the printer, right to the Basic setting Fax arrow, select OK, then right arrow to rings before answer.

  (3) the answering machine must be connected to the printer and not any other wall jack in the House. In this way, the printer can control the answering machine records the sound of incoming fax, etc.

  Hello, all.

  This is my first post on the HP forum.

  My question is about the HP 6500 wireless all-in-one printer.  I am considering buying to replace a HP 7140xi all-in-one who, after 6 years, has developed a serious carriage jam problem.  My requirements include 2 sides print and copy.  I'm confused about various product ID (E709n, E709q, E709a, E709d, E709r, etc.).  What product ID has the ability to make the 2 sides print and copy?  One of these products allow the copy of a 2-sided document to a 2-sided document?  Sorry for the simple questions, but the manual E709 I downloaded does not meet these questions.

  E709a is not wireless, and does not support duplexing automatic 2. I suggest to go for the e709n because its wireless and has a duplexer (automatic 2 sides print)

  Hi all!

  I was wondering if I should install the disc that came with my HP 6500 has more printer FIRST before connecting it to the top wireless? Or connect upward wireless first before installing the drive?

  I saw somewhere where the plug & play when the connected printer caused some problems that did not accept the disc that came with the printer it seemed to replace the drive.

  Any help would be appreciated before doing anything with the hook to the top of my new printer.

  If you connect the USB printer that the answer is YES.

  First run installation, during installation, you will be asked to connect the USB cable, then only, you need to connect.

• OfficeJet 6500 on Snow Leopard, scanning and fax questions

  I finally got my wireless 6500 printer to print with Snow Leopard, but I can't scan or fax.  I contacted Applecare about this and they could not solve the problem.  These functions have been works fine under Leopard, but disappeared with Snow Leopard.  I read on an Apple forum that these functions will not work with Snow Leopard.  Is there a solution?  HP will address this issue in the near future?  All the world is facing this problem?  Help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

  Printing and scanning for the Officejet 6500 functions are fully supported in Snow Leopard.   You want to use the software that is included in 10.6, please do not use the old Leopard software.

  You still unable to select the page current, even by changing the print settings? Please follow this document to make sure.

  If you are still having the same problem, then please try the following steps:

  (1) try to fix permissions of the drive on your computer. I'll give you a YouTube video on this step here.

  (2) make sure that you have completed all the Apple updates on your computer.

  (3) then, reset the printing system.

  Please post your results again.

• Question on 'sh queueing int' after the application of QoS configuration on 6500 line card

  Issues related to the:

  1. why this show only two 'max-threshold', only for lines 1 & 2 - not for the other queues as is done for 'min-threshold '.

  2. Why does show "wrr-queue random - detect" for 4,5,6,7 queues and not 1,2,3 queues?

  It's the same thing, the default queues of 4-7 persons with reduced mobility.

• HP Officejet 6500 E709n wireless - Scan to computer printer - question

  Hi all

  I'm trying to run a scan from my printer to my iMac 10.8.3 running.   When I go to select the computer, it says no scan options.   Now, I can run a scan of my computer without problem, but I would like to be able to do it directly from the printer.  Any thoughts?

  EDIT: HP utility/drivers are installed.   Have downloaded automatically when I initially set up printer.   Don't know how to check the version.  I guess it's the latter.

  The software provided for Mac OS X 10.8 Lion mountain for your printer cannot scan of the façade, but only from Mac using picture Capture, preview or printing & scanning.

• HP 6500 scan high resolution works well with the solution Center HP; but is solid black w/imgage software for editing

  I got an OfficeJet 6500.

  If I try to scan a picture at a very high resolution, using an image of image editing software will come out black.

  I can scan the image using the HP solutions, at the same high resolution Center, and the image will scan very well.

  I think there is a setting for the Windows operating system that needs to be adjusted. I know because I had this same problem once before.

  I found the solution to my problem. but my computer crashed and I had to reinstall the full Windows operating system. I lost the changes I had made. It was in January 2011.

  I don't remember when I had the answer to my problem but I thought that I asked the question in the HP forum (it would have been some time in late 2010) and then someone answered with the solution to my problem. But I can't find the post I did then.

  -My operating system is Windows 7, with a 64-bit operating system.

  -The processor is an Intel Celeron 2 .50GHz.

  I would appreciate any help someone can offer.

  After watching this on the web, it seems that you is maybe to something. From what I found, GIMP uses a lot of resources, especially true for larger images. He isn't able to handle the scanning of an image as large as 4800dpi without additional RAM or virtual memory to compensate for the RAM.

  My suggestion would be to increase the size to the recommended or higher. Out of curiosity how much physical RAM have you? Microsoft recommends that virtual memory for no more than 3 times the amount of RAM installed. See article: change the size of virtual memory.

• The inability to find a printing process of an Apple Ipad 4 G on a HP 6500 E709n wireless printer

  I spent hours trying to find a way coinnecting my Apple Ipad on my HP 6500 printer in network wireless.

  I found and downloaded the HP eprint App on my Ipad. This allows me to select the HP printer, as they are both wireless connected to the router. However, when I select Print in any application, the Eprint dialog box informs me that no printer is available for selection.

  I tried to contact HP Support, to see if there is a solution to this problem, but I have been informed that they are not reachable by e-mail, chat or by telephone as it is all offline.

  Someone has a solution to this problem, HP could not resolve for 2011 from all the sites I visited. Apparently the HP 6500 has can eprint, but the 6500 E709n can't, why? is the obvious question. I have also tried to download app PrintShare Mobile Print from Amazon, but couldn't find a way to allow applications Amazon on my Apple Ipad as the suggested solution 'Activate Unknown Source ' is not available in my installation setting.

  Hi, your printer (E709n) model is not a web printer enabled, that is, it doesn't have its own address of email ePrint, contrary to the 6500 a (series E710). However, it is compatible with the HP ePrint mobile printing application and you should be able to print from a mobile device with the installed application, as many times the printer and the camera are connected to the same WiFi network (through a router).

  Since 1 week I Satellite P770 - 10 p on Windows 7 + SP1 with all the patches. I have 2 challenges.

  1. following driver does not work properly: * toshiba x 64 compatible acpi peripheral value logical and general usage *.

  2 OfficeJet 6500 connected via LAN * Scanner does not work via HP drivers.*

  Question 1
  -Pilot course that does not work is v2.0.0.1 (11 / 09 / 2007)
  -When I using the 'Value Added Package 1.5.4.64' version gets v2.0.0.3 (07 / 14 / 2009)
  -After 1 restart Windows, no longer issue.
  -After the 2nd reboot of Windows, I have the same problem with version v2.0.0.3 (disk hard could not be started...)

  The OfficeJet 6500 is already working on 2 other Toshiba laptops
  -Satellite M40-129 (Windows XP) ==> printer / Scanner works properly
  -Satellite L650-108 (Windows 7) ==> printer / Scanner works properly

  Using the version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or your own installation?
  Can you put the vendor and exact device ID? It would be useful to identify the exact device. But according to your assignment, it has something to do with the package of added value or HDD/SSD alert maybe

  Your printer, you need to contact the manufacture of the printer. This has nothing to do with Toshiba. Probably you have need new drivers or something else

• HP 6500 E709a network main AIO: printer Ethernet cable to the router

  This should be a simple question. My home/office network has a router Belkin Wireless 600n. I'm not sure how to respond to the installation of the software asking how the printer is connected to the computer. I have both wireless and Ethernet wired computers on this network. I am trying to run the installation on each computer software. I'm only given two choices, USB or wireless. I think that there should be a third choice; Ethernet cable. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  I understand that you run into a problem when running the network installation on your windows computer to your HP Officejet 6500 all-in-One Printer. I want to help you with this today.

  Choose the wireless network option shouldn't cause problems during the installation of your printer. It can always be detected on your network and should install without any problems at all. When it comes to your computers or wireless, which makes no difference to the way in which they communicate with your wired printer. The only requirement is that they are all on the same network.

  To make sure that you run the correct installation program, just click here. Once the site opens, select the download button at the top left. Once the download is complete, do execute the instructions on the screen to install your printer.

• Office jet 6500 a Plus: Office jet 6500 Scanner does not work on iMac

  I have a printer, scanner, fax Officejet 6500.  Before the update of my modem, printing and scanning wireless worked perfect.  After a new modem only the printer works.  Bought a USB cable to connect to iMac running OS - El Capitan.  Printer works fine but the scanner does not work.  I uninstalled HP applications, printer deleted from system preferences.  Restart the computer.  Reinstalled with the latest drivers and add printer in system preferences.  Printer works fine but still no scan.  During the call to the top of the scanner/printer in system preferences, I see two options, one for print and other to analyze.  Queue only appears.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  I see that you are not able to scan from your Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-In-One to your computer Mac OSX 10.11. I can help you with that.

  To resolve this issue:

  1. Unplug the USB cable from the printer.
  2. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
  3. Hold down the CTRL key and click on the image to your printer on the left side.
  4. Click on reset printing system.
  5. Click on the button "+" in the corner.
  6. Select your printer from the list.
  7. Click in the box next to and select your printer.
  8. Click on Add.

  At this point, you should be able to scan your printer wireless. If you are unable to do so, please let me know what happened following my directions and I should be able to help more.
