PowerEdge 1600SC "no boot device with ' error

Hi all!
I recently acquired a PowerEdge 1600SC server of my fathers company. We used it changed in 2004 just so that you all know. When I try to start it, it starts to beep loud and quite rude. I opened it upward, the it Department had disconnected the three disks for some reason any. I plugged in and it still didn't work. I tried to get a recovery disk, but apparently the warranty has expired on March 30, 2006. That somewhat limited my options. I could buy a new drive containing windows 7... but I thought it might spoil the server more since it already has an operating system (I think). Maybe I could get a upgrade disc? Should I take for the DSI and get it checked? Just reply to this tell me what to do because I really need this server soon.

Thanks in advance,
Emanuel Elliott

"The server has sufficient memory for you because I had just bought three 36 GB drives more."

Memory, no disk space.  If he says, he has not enough "memory" and used to run ESX, then someone removed some memory or OS Install Mode is enabled, limit the RAM/256 MB memory.

  • Satellite L300D boot up with error message

    Hey!
    Then when I start my laptop, it is said;

The other day the screen empties and restarted with the following eror is
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE MOF: outgoing PXE ROM no boot device, please insert the boot disk and press any key

and then he mentions something about a realtek ethernet controller.

I know that laptops trying to boot from a network or a local network, so ive changed these options in the boot menu, but any order is the start menu, it will always try and boot from a network or on the LAN.

So I disabled the network and local network settings in the bios, restarted the laptop, and then he said something as the media not found, insert the floppy disk and press a key. So I tried to put the toshiba recovery disc in, it gets so far and then it says theres no disc present.

Before ask you, the drive IS DETECTED in the bios. So it is recognized it...

I'm all out of options now so I need help. is the drive broken? or what's the story?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Yes, perhaps the HARD drive is broken because the laptop attempts to boot from LAN.
It seems that the BIOS can not find else device startup.

I think you need to replace the HARD drive and should install Windows system once more.

    Good luck

  • Dell Poweredge 1750 - no boot device

Hi, I am totally new to the servers and have bought a second hand PE1750 off ebay so that I can learn how it works.

The vehicle currently has no operating system on it and the BIOS is always A06.

I downloaded A12 and try updating the bios.

    (1) is it possible to update the BIOS from the BIOS?

    (2) I don't have drive C: and CDROM in boot sequence via the F2 Setup utility.

    (3) no found boot device.

    (4) I have 1 configured logical drive

    (5) there is no option to boot from USB

can anyone help me get this site up and running please?

is it possible to update the BIOS from the BIOS?

Not from the "BIOS", per se... but you can start a utility to update update the firmware of the system (including the BIOS).

1750 does not support the boot on USB. You will need to boot from the CD/DVD (or PXE or diskette) for what you intend to do.

You can use SUU (Server Update Utility):

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=GHC9V&FILEID=2731109500&osCode=WNET&ProductCode=PowerEdge-1750&LanguageCode=en&CategoryID=SM

First start in GDPS (systems management tools and Documentation) which requires:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=P8V4X

Or you can use the repository Manager:

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=X5YK8

OR you can install an operating system and update the firmware of the system of the operating system.

  • Satellite A80 - in ODD device with the code 39 error Manager

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A80 127. I have a problem with my CD player.

When I tried to upgrade my XP Home Edition of XP Pro SP2, display said the restart that he couldn't play in my CD player. During the inspection, I found that my CD/DVD drive is unable to read CDs if it can read the DVD. From what I remember, it was working fine a few days before.

I tried to locate the source of the problem and with the option of troubleshooting, I found that I have a yellow exclamation mark against my SCSI/RAID host controller in my device (with error code 39) Manager. I could not update the driver it give me an error message. In addition, there was a controller SCSI/RAID of Nero. I tried to remove to check if the main works, but always without success.

  • ACER Aspire E11 (SD32gb) error "no boot device."

Hello. I formatted Acer aspire E11 with windows 8.1 USB CD-ROM. It worked fine but the next reboot, it no longer starts and it does not accept either boot from usb, pen or usb cd rom, not same Hirens Boot begins. Don't always says "No boot device" with a picture of an SD card and a magnifying glass. Is there a solution to this?

    Thank you very much.

    OK, back to the UEFI.

on the BIOS disable secure boot (just to identify possible)

    http://Acer--UK.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/27071/~/how-to-enable-or-disable-secure-boot

Also check if F12 Boot menu is activated on the main tab.

Press F10 save and exit, then try to boot from USB CD again.

  • W95 installation fails-"no boot device found" / "not received no boot file name.

I bought Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade, which requires that a BONE House early to be installed before it will be to be installed. So, I need to install Windows 95, the only other version of windows 'House' that I have, before I can install Vista.

Unfortunately, no matter what I try (install from CD with auto detect, install from the CD with the specification of physical drive, install from disk image), I get the error "no boot file received" Windows and then the "no boot device found" error on VMWare.  It is with version 2.02, running in OSX 10.5.6.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

First Windows 95 isn't eligible OS to upgrade to Vista from and regarding Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade you can only do a place in family Windows XP Edition upgrade and Windows XP Media Center, which means any other previous operating system will have to be removed before you can install.

In any case we say used to be able to install Windows Vista directly from an upgrade, even if it was with the original version and I n not know if it works with an SP1 DVD but take a look on: How to Clean install Windows Vista with upgrade media

  • Acer aspire switch 10 no boot device

Hello, I am working on an Acer Aspire Switch 10 2 in 1 (there so no usb port and no cd drive) when I turn it on it flashes Acer logo for a second and then jump to "No boot device" with an image of a hard drive and a magnifying glass. This was not the case before. I could get for the recovery and trying, but it did not work. Now it seems that when I go in the settings of UEFI, boot order options have nothing other than IPV4 and peripheral USB for possible boot options.

On information in the BIOS, you can find any reference to the members of the SSD?

If this isn't the case, it is probably a hardware failure.

  • PowerEdge 2500 - no available boot device

I'm trying to revive an old Poweredge 2500 that starts up with the error: no available boot device, press F1 to retry or F2 to enter Setup utility

I have 3 drives on the SCSI channel Hot and also have a CD ROM on this channel too

I set the boot sequence to boot to CD Rom first, so that I can maybe just install Windows Server 2008 and get things up and running

But it is not booting to CD ROM. its just commissioning and turning the device No. Bot available

Is this dead or can I revive somehow? Thank you

Server 2008 DVDS only and I doubt that any 2500's never delivered with DVD players.  You should be able to boot from a CD of 2003.

Is there a BONE here, you want to fix it?  If so, do you have RAID (PERC 3/Di) activated in a RAID 1 or RAID 5?

  • Satellite C50-B-13N - error "Reboot and select good boot device."

    Hi all

My laptop recently bought C50-B-13N moving 39 updates yesterday, when it crashed.

Get back with me stuck in a loop continuous. After what seemed like the logical approach to reset to factory settings, I have
seem to have accidentally deleted the data on the disk.

I have now repeatedly received the error message "Reboot and select proper boot device."

I tried the F12 approach to , but my Start Menu does not have this option.

I'm frustrated that the new laptop played if bad, given that I have had Toshiba devices for about 10 years.
In addition, I am disappointed that potentially serious consequences to remove the drive were clearly deprecated for me, before you start.

    Please give us a solution.
The laptop is 4 months old.

In addition, how can I start the process of an application under my warranty?
A dissatisfied customer of experience to date.

    Kind regards

    CGI

I seem to have accidentally deleted the data on the disk.

Obviously the HARD drive recovery procedure is not possible now because the HARD drive recovery files have been deleted.

I guess you have not created such recovery media as recommended in the user's manual.

Well, in this case, you have a chance to order a missing middle of recovery and recover the laptop to factory condition.

Means of recovery can be ordered here:

    Please help solve the problem.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

This error comes if the operating system or any boot device is not at the start of the network, where the system tries to boot from the network or Boot Rom. seems the BIOS setting is lost. To solve the problem. Enter the BIOS by pressing F10 or F1 and reach the start (on the top with the right arrow key) tab. In the Startup tab, there should be an option related to the priority of the device, select first boot as drive boot HARD settigs, and then save by pressing F10, select Yes for confirmation.

Now a PC will reboot and hope that the windows starts.

  • HP Pavillion 11-N028TU X 360: boot device error after upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello

My laptop had been improved automatically to Windows 10 about 3 days ago. It was fine, but last night, he had a funny noise and stopped working suddenly. I restarted my laptop, but it has shown a pop-up notification:
"not found - boot device please install an operating system on your hard drive.

This morning, I took my laptop to the IT Help Desk at my University, but strangely I could start it and the connection to my windows without any error notification but it took like a usual (about 15 minutes).

What should I do with my laptop? It seems to work normally now, but I fear that it will freeze again all of a sudden. By the way, anyone know if I can use my warranty to the United Kingdom if I bought my laptop in my home country?

    Thank you.

    HI @rose0521,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I read your post and wanted to help.

I understand that once your laptop cannot start with the error message "not found boot device" and now is recovered, but you want to confirm that there is no problem with the laptop.

  • Acer Predator 17 G9-791-73 CL - no boot device error

    Hi guys,.

My laptop is an Acer Predator 17

    i76700HQ 2.6

    16 GB OF RAM

    GTX 980M 4 GB

Basically, the new update for windows 10 destroyed my files, nothing did not work properly, I tried to reboot to a restore point that I created (he has not worked as the girls were damaged) I tried to reset, (same thing damaged files) I tried practically all the existing troubleshooting options (F8) but also to reset the default bios (F2) , I unplugged the hard drive, put it back again, nothing worked so I installed windows from a USB pendrive of freeOS, I removed both of C(main one) D (second) partitions and created new ones and I installed the windows, I lie down, installed all the apps and everything was working fine, until I decided to update the BIOS/Firmware with those specified to install for my model of laptop computer on the site Acer

BIOSAcer1. update of the Micro code 2. Version of update ME1.104.3 MB12/04/2016
BIOSAcerFixed not able to enter the BIOS configuration without optical media player utility in the [...]1.064.6 MB11/12/2015

The thing is, I installed the new BIOS on UEFI mode and legacy not I don't know if that makes a difference or not, but when the computer laptop restarded, error - no. Bootable Device appears on the screen all of a sudden and it does not further than that, start one and I know not what to do about this I ran tests of hard drive and it works very well, the thing is I am currently on a legacy (in bios) mode and it works very well, I had to change to access my laptop, but the (UEFI mode) does not work for some reason itt continues to show no boot device and I don't know why I tried to reinstall windows again and delete the partitions, but F8 doesn't work on UEFI mode

Any ideas on what I should do?

Also, when I try to install new BIOS, I get the error: the version of the ROM file is not newer than the BIOS.

I'm so stuck right now, this is my first posting of time on a forum for help with a laptop and I got computers/laptops for fifteen years, because I don't want to buy another hard... I tried something on the internet and I can't seem to make it work.

This guy, I really appreciate your help, thank you

for UEFI boot, windows must be installed under UEFI not inherited, because there need an EFI partition and the Manager start windows.

So if you want to UEFI, you must reinstall windows.

do not forget to support bootable USB of re - install windows (under settings of UEFI) must be UEFI compatible, I strongly suggest to use Rufus to create:

    https://Rufus.AKEO.IE/?locale=en_US

define Rufus as the screen on the home page.

  • Inaccessible boot device error. New motherboard.

    De : Meigs

I'm changing my motherboard that supports the quad core processor. However, I get an inaccessible boot device error when I try to boot with the new motherboard. I tried to boot from the installation dvd and repair, but it cannot solve the problem.

I don't want to perform a new installation. It was easy with WinXP pro. The cd should solve the problem. But, I can just know how to do this with Windows Vista.

Is there a way to get the registry to look for new drivers? It may not be a big problem since the installation DVD to see the drive with any action on my part.

    From: Rick Rogers

    Hi Meigs,

Sorry, but change the motherboard in most cases it will take a reinstall. The exception would be a card replacement or one that is very closely related. XP could affect a repair installation, it is not possible in Windows Vista due to changes in the way the operating system is built on the hard drive.

Moreover, the error message at startup is likely, given that the new motherboard uses a driver different thant previous to load the hard disk.
