Print via Wi - Fi on Photosmart Premium C309 connection problem on an iMac and MacBook Pro

Hi all

I just bought and installed a Photosmart Premium C309.

I am running the latest Mac OS 10.6.5 on two computers: an IMac and a MacBook Pro.

The printer software installation went well and I was able to print via USB cable.

Then I connected the printer to my wireless network (Modem-Router: Fritz!) Box Fon WLAN), again without problems.

I printed out a page of the control panel the printer network Test and got "no problems found. Congratulations on the successful your printer wireless installation.

But when I tried to print via the wireless network, I continued to get "printer offline".

I have disabled the firewall on the computer but no joy.

Now, I'm unable to print via the USB port that the printer is "offline".

Help!

Thank you

Problem solved! It has to do with Hello.

When you set up the printer with the HP installation wizard must install the Hello printer drivers when you are prompted to choose the drivers. Simple.

Thank you.

My network all-in-one Photosmart Premium C309-g worked very well on my desk until recently, when suddenly the HP software could still see and connect to the printer, but Windows 10 could not. I tried to remove the printer and uninstall all associated software, then tried to reinstall the software. Unfortunately, the installation will not get to the point where it starts and then suddenly disappears with no trace of her still running in the background. I can deviate from the default installation and bring to the top of the page to select the components that I want to install, but when I do the button 'ok' on this page does not work. No matter how many times I click on it, the page remains open and the installation will not so fast. If I click Cancel on this page, it disappears and the installation back to the previous page, where I can choose to continue and happen almost immediately out of sight again. This happens whenever I try to install selected software and drivers. I deleted the printer from the devices page in the Panel, I made sure to this it is not is more listed in the Manager of peripheral devices (printers and imaging devices), I removed the Windows 10 print queue and I deleted all the data of the folder under the Program Files (x 86) HP folder on my hard drive. I also disabled Windows Defender and run the installer as administrator, yet none of these steps help the process at all. I have never, in my 20 + years using nothing other than printers HP, encountered a problem like this. I'm used to receive error messages during the installation of software to fail, but I have never had a process simply disappear from the computer without leaving any trace of never having run. I hope that someone out there has an idea, that I have not thought yet, transferring files to my tablet to print from becomes a pain in the rear.

Welcome to the HP Forums @GarfieldFan1969,

I understand the printing software will not fully installed for your Photosmart C309 on your system Windows 10, and I wanted to answer with my suggestions for trying to help! Here are my suggestions for you to try. When you are finished, please let me know the results and problems or errors that you may encounter!

First step: clean boot, restart the PC and try the install again.

    1. start by typing "msconfig" in the search box of Cortana, and then click MSConfig (run command)
On your keyboard press Windows + R key at same time and type Msconfig in the run window, and then click OK or press ENTER.

    2. now, choose Selective startup

    3. Remove the check of the Load Startup items

    4. click on the Services tab

    5. check "hide all Microsoft Services" and then click on disable all

    6. click apply , then OK

7 restart the PC and temporarily disable firewalls or antivirus programs

8 run the Installation Wizard for Windows HP printer to install the printer

9 turn on the firewall and start services

Second step: you unregister and re-register the Windows Installer Service:

    1. hold down the Windows key + R to fill the box "Run" and type cmd.exe, and then click OK.
    2. at the command prompt, type msiexec /Unregister , and then press ENTER.
    3. at the command prompt, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.
    4. at the command prompt, type exit and press ENTER to close the command prompt.

Step 3: run System File Checker Scan (up to 3 times) to repair the corrupted system files:
    1. go to start
    2. type CMD
3 right-click and run as administrator
    4. to check and repair the OS type sfc/scannow (note the space between sfc and ' / ')

You may need to run this upward to 3 times to solve all the problems

When finished, it will say one of three things
Windows did not find any breach of integrity (a good thing)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files and repair the (good)
Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some (or all) of them (not a good thing)

    Try to reinstall the printer.

Step 4: activate the built-in Windows administrator account

    source

    1. first of all, you'll need to open an administrator mode command prompt by right-clicking and choosing "run as Administrator" (or use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Enter in the search box).

Note that it works the same in all versions of Windows. It just search for cmd and then do a right-click on the icon of the command prompt in the start menu or the boot screen.

    2. If you are in Windows 8.x or 10 you can click on the Start button and choose to open a command prompt in this way.

    3. now type the following command:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes

    4. you should see a message that the command completed successfully. Log out, and you will now see the administrator as a choice account.

(Note that this screenshot is for Vista, but it works on Windows 7 and Windows 8 and Windows 10)

You will notice that there is no password for this account, so if you want to leave it enabled, you must change the password.

    Try to reinstall the printer.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309 wireless, can't print emails, but all the rest print on HP laptop

I can print anything on my HP laptop, but I can't print emails from my wireless HP Photosmart Premium C309. What could be the cause?

OK, the printer is connected to your router fine, so the problem is probably in your PC.

I recommend you to uninstall the HP software (with uninstalling HP), reboot, then download the latest version of the software for your printer from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

  • HP Photosmart C309 all-in-One: erase all memory of all-in-one Photosmart Premium C309

I have a Photosmart Premium C309 all-in-One, which must be recycled or donated.  It seems to be broken because the transport will not return and the error message says there is a paper jam but it is there in no paper in the printer.

Before you get rid of it, I want to ensure that all memory is cleared of all components.  How can I do this and is it possible if it does not work properly?

HP inkjet printers have no drives in them until you get something like an Officejet Pro machine series X.

Printers without hard disks don't keep documents in memory once the power is turned off, the only exception being that sometimes a fax remains a document in memory until they are printed once they are printed, they are gone.

I took a quick look at a picture of your model and have worked on similar models, none of them had hard drives installed.

So basically, is it safe to launch it won't be anything stored on it.

I replaced all 3 colors on Photosmart Premium C309 series, now she says remove the head of a PIN, lift the black latch? where is it?

If the print head can be removed, it is a replaceable part. Look at the print heads where the contacts are found; There should be an end date of guarantee that there are listed. If this date is not passed back into HP Total Care and they can solve the problems it more, as they can help with the purchase of a replacement printhead. • Can not get queue on Photosmart Premium c309

I just installed a Photosmart Premium c309 printer, I connected through the USB line to a HP Pavilion which has Windows 7.  I just can't get anything to print.  Each document is in the queue and does not print.  The scanner function works fine, the copier on the printer function works very well.  I deleted and reinstalled the driver several times – both on the disc that came with the printer and a driver downloaded from the HP website.

During installation, I am asked to choose a picture to print, there are in the print queue.  If I try to print a test page, it is in the print queue.  How can I get this to progress so that actual printing occurs?

Update: I found the print diagnostic utility 3.0 on another page of this Web site.  Downloaded and installed, followed the instructions, and my problem was solved.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309 printer needs help with the iPad

    Hello

I'm a bit confused about what printers are supported by the new AirPrint Apple via the iPad.

I have a so-called ePrinter Wireless: HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m, which can not be found on iPad by Airprint.

This printer is using the Airprint?

List of HP a Photosmart Premium e - AiO (B310), but I'm not sure if it is the same printer and what vs B310 C309 printer same or different?

If my C309 actually supported Airprint - why it doesn't work with Airprint?

C309 is not supported - will be when it happens and how?

    concerning

    Michael Iversen

We can always use c309g printer with the iPad. All what we need to do is install HP iPrint app iPad and use it to print as the printer must be connected wireless.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309: printer cannot print black ink (it's a new cartridge).

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me troubleshoot my printer.

yesterday, I installed a brand new authentic ink cartridge of HP for printer HP C309 photosmart premium.

The ink level for black on the printer is full, my other levels of color ink is low, but that should not affect something because I never print in black and white for the documents from the school.

I tried to print black-and-white documents and the printer is fading the black in and out and sometimes not black at all, despite the fact that I have installed a new black ink cartridge.

    I tried:

    (1) align the printer cartridges through the tool on printer settings (this alignment failed 2 times, always without success)

    (2) cleaning of the print head through tool on printer settings (tried this 3 times and still no improvement)

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi @plutolover2011

I want to help you to be able to print again. I understand your color cartridges work, but it's not black ink.  Please start with the procedure described in the following document; Printer prints a blank Page or does not print black or color ink for HP Photosmart Premium C309a the C309c all-in-One

If you have performed all the steps in the document above and the problem persists, not one of HPs, my personal recommendation is to use the solution put forward in the next video.  I suggest that if the printhead and the printer he are out of warranty.  Hot water rinse printhead - HP ink printers of the series with removable head.

I have recommended this solution to others and have been successful, but I can't guarantee that this will solve the problem, it is a term of type line of effort. I hope it helps.

  • Impossible to print a Web page using photosmart premium c309a using Internet Explorer 9.

I just installed Internet Explorer 9. Now, I can't print a Web page using my network photosmart premium c309a. I also have a Photosmart c6250 networked and I peut print for her. What gives? Am I missing something? I know that this is a known problem by searching the problem and Windows solution does not help.  I have no problem with the c309a print when I go to the internet, it's just a problem of Web page with IE9.  All/any help would be appreciated.

HP helped me by making me install a different driver. Download and install the printer driver 6980. After installation, go to the printer properties and add a new Standard TCP/IP port and use IP address for the c309a.  I don't think I'm missing something, but I received the information from their chat support.  Then, when you want to print from IE9, choose the 6980 printer (which is actually the c309a printer).  This HP support doesn't help.  You must talk to a living person who knows something about printers.

I hope this helps.  In fact, I switched to Mozilla Firefox as my default long ago, and it works very well with the c309a printer.  I only got this solution because I could be chatting with them on another printer and I mentioned that I could not print from IE9.

  • Photosmart Premium C309 causing network conflicts

I've recently updated to a NetGear Rounter WNDR3400v2. It is attached to my HP Desktop - Windows 7 Home Edition. Since I upgraded, I can't put the C309 on the network. It immediately causes a network conflict, and all my other wireless devices can no longer connect to the internet.

I have a computer that is able to use the NetGear35 (speed of 5G), but all my other use the slower features of the router, and there are two possible connections wireless - NETGEAR35 the network and the HOST network. The printer appears in the list of IP addresses on the HOME network.

I took the laptop that connects to the network NETGEAR35 the network connection and stopped and restarted the router.  Everything works until I turn the C309 printer, and all computers (except my office which is connected directly to the internet) lose connectivity. As soon as I turn the printer off and restart the router, everything works again.

I even forced the printer to a specific network address: 192.168.1.99 which is in the range valid for the router, and it always generates a network conflict. I don't see any IP addresses in conflict, but I'll make a message that "it is another device on the network with a conflicting IP address" on one of my laptops.

This makes me out of my mind and my wife is ready to throw away the HP printer.

    Any ideas?

    Problem solved!

One of the error messages I've seen was that it could not resolve the 'address of the DNS server. For some reason any the router was not collecting the correct address of DNS server. I called NetGear to resolve this. Fortunately, it was within the period of 90 days to get a free support call.

Between laptops, iPhones, AppleTV and a bunch of boxes of DirecTV, I had about 15 devices on my wireless network. I thought that "this will be a disaster!" - but I was pleasantly surprised. The NetGear tech used a tool to take possession of my PC, investigated a bunch of settings and found the DNS problem. He has made changes to where the router stores the address and everything has been fine since.

I wish I could tell you exactly what he's changed and where, but it took quite awhile if I don't write it all down. So my advice is - if you have this problem, contact NetGear support.

  • Series HP Photosmart Prem C410 - connection problems

I have a printer HP Photosmart C410 series connected via a wireless network to a Sony Viao laptop.

I have regular problems connecting the printer to the PC - I think it started when I updated the PC operating system to Windows (from Windows 8) 8.1 (I think) about six months ago.

Sometimes, the printer works fine. But often it is not. It shows the printer as offline, even if it is on, with the wireless light illuminated. Sometimes, if I reboot the system, it will not work then. But it can take several attempts and is not reliable.

Sometimes, when I go to see what's printing, there is a check mark next to use printer offline. If I remove this tick, documents are printed sometimes then. But sometimes they are not. I can't work out how to set the printer online when everything is apparently turned on and connected. Often when I go to print a document, a window pops up saying: the printer is offline. Sometimes the document print in any case. Sometimes it doesn't.

The scanner function works fine, so I don't think it's as simple as the connection works do not at all. I regularly scan documents and have no problem with that.

I installed HP Print and Scan doctor. Whenever I try to use it, it tells me I have to install the software. I try to install the software, but it doesn't seem to help - and he wants to download the same software next time.

I am extremely frustrated with this situation. I have a relatively new and high-quality printer and a laptop and yet cannot rely on the ability to print things quickly. I searched in the online forums and tried various suggestions here but without success.

I tried to uninstall all previously installing the printer and reinstall it, but that did not help.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

  • Photosmart Plus wireless connection problem

I have a wireless Photosmart Plus B209 printer.  It is connected to an I - Mac using USB and works very well.

However, I am trying to connect a MacBook laptop on my Airport Extreme router wireless.  I installed the latest version of the HP software for Snow Leopard OS 10.6 on both computers, but I can't get the MacBook to print via the wireless network.  He keeps insisting on the fact that I connect it via USB.

Does anyone have a solution or suggestion on this?

    Thank you.

OK, let's use the WPS from your printer and your router to get connected.

Start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer. Then:

    Open Apple Airport utility
    Select your wireless router
    Select Manual Configuration
choose Add Wireless Clients... in the menu of the Base Station
Select the first attempt, and then press to continue.
You must begin the process of Apple Add Wireless customer within 2 minutes of starting the printer WPS push button method. In fact, the order doesn't matter... you can start the process of adding on the Apple start router Wireless Clients then method push-button WPS printer.

Your printer will now be connected to your router. Now all you have to do is install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax by clicking on the button «+» Find the instance of your printer with "Hello" next to it and click Add. "

You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.
