printer 'offline' when in fact not

HP photosmart 3200

well worked until two days ago does not print.  Message says mode offline, but everything is connected, downloaded the drivers and software - no help.  Using the USB cable, but not yet read.  Have one mac, what else can I try before I have to buy another printer?

OK, maybe it's not right because I don't have a B210 to play with and the manual is vague.

1. first, we will reset the printer.  From the control panel > Configuration > network > default network

2 cycle power on your wireless router and wait that it restart.

3. now, in the same menu system on the front of the printer, run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

4. follow the instructions until the printer connects.

Now, reset the printing system:

-Sys Prefs, printing and fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!

Finally, download and install the software here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-96582-1 & cc = us & dlc = in & lc = on & os = 219 & product = 4021935 & sw_lang =

    Hello

    Thanks for the comments.

    You can try the following:

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

    Hope that helps!

  • should I turn the printer off when you are not using it?

you just buy new printer - HP envy 5530 - need to know if I need put it off when you are not using it or if it passes in mode "sleep"?  other printers I had went to sleep mode however cannot locate this answer in the FAQ - like entry - thanks ~ ) husband

    Welcome to the mgchandler forums,

I saw your post on want to know if you should be powered down the printer or if it won't fall in the mode 'sleep'. My best advice would be to turn off the printer by the power button if it will not be used for a period of time, for example during the night. Regards the mode "standby", the printer goes into standby after 5, 10 or 15 minutes of inactivity.

    • To change the settings for sleep mode, go to the front screen of the printer and press settings (wrench)
    • Contact preferences
    • Press the arrow down and on Standby Mode when you see
    • You can now change the time of mode 5 to 10 to 15 minutes before

  • ReadyCloud shows NAS as offline when it's not (SOLVED)

(Mods if this topic is in the wrong place please remove because I also responded to http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=81208 , in the hope of an answer)

    I have a RN102 with firmware v6.2.4.

To attempt to connect to ReadyCloud, I get the error "" * white * NAS is offline, check internet connectivity and power ""

I can ping my NAS successfully, it can look by using File Explorer, can access the admin page by typing the IP address and access all of my files in the admin console but ReadyCloud shows my NAS as offline and does not display any of my data, also tried the button "backup" on the device for 5 seconds and looking for serial number on the tab 'Discover' in a couple of the last desperate attempts... really confused , but I would not be surprised if it was a self-inflicted question:? ops :

I am currently turn off ReadyCloud and waiting for my reboot to re - activate ReadyCloud to see if it solves my problem.

I'll edit the post or add another answer to follow once I did.

    EDIT *.

So I tried the reactivation of ReadyCloud after the restart of the SIN and this is what displayed... any ideas to resolve this would be greatly appreciated

  • "Media offline" - when it is not and missing presets!

I'm working on a project in PP CS5 (Mac) that has images of a Canon DSLR and an AVCHD camera. I opened it and all the AVCHD video footage is presented as "media disconnected" even if the. MTS files are all in the same place they were when I used to work with these files. PP won't let me not re-edit the link to the files because it says that the files are not a file type compatible - which is ridiculous because I've worked with these source files recently. The files are stored in a folder on my desktop, not on an external drive.

In addition, it seems that some of my sequence presets are missing - the DSLR presets seem to be non-existent. This is not good! An adobe wrong update?

Any suggestions as to what is causing this and a solution? Thank you!

Looks like the first came to trial. Have you recently updated to 5.0.3?

Uninstall, run Cleanscript a couple of times and reinstall.

  • Printer says 'offline' when it is actually not

I have a HP Photosmart 6510 - B211a which is connected to a wireless network.  Operating system on my Dell PC is 32-bit, Windows XP.  I also have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925, Vista 32-bit.  The printer is installed on both computers, and installation was with the disc.  I had no problems printing of the Toshiba laptop and the problem is with the Dell PC.  After I installed the printer I could print from PC, but after awhile, about 2-3 hours, when I tried to print, nothing happened.  I checked the printer on the control panel and in the queue, situation showed "error - offline", when in fact the printer is not in offline mode, because at that time, I could print from the PC.  How can I solve this problem?  Thank you.

    Hello Mooc,

A good place to start by trying to understand what is happening is to run the Scan Print doctor. You can find it here

    HP Print and Scan Doctor

You want to run on the computer that isn't printing and shows the printer 'offline' error message.

If the doctor print scanning is finished and the problem persists there are other steps that you will find in this article for troubleshooting troubleshooting.

    Dear neonskeleton,

Thank you for your help and advice. Knowing that MacAfee firewall settings could cause the symptoms that I saw was the key to the resolution.

    (1) launch McAfee Security Center (version 11.6)

    (2) under the featurestab, select Web and Email Protection

    (3) in the options that appear, click firewall.

    (4) in the options that appear, click Internet connections for programs

    (5) in the options displayed, choose Spooler SubSystem App

    (6) with the selected item, choose Edit

    (7) change 'Access' to the outgoing
    (8) Chooe Save, then on quitMcAfee

  • Text is printed in bold when it's not "BOLD" :(

    Hello

I use Windows 7 and InDesign CS6. When I print PDF documents from files that have been created in InDesign a couple lines of text print "BOLD" when they are not fat, and they seem to be also a bit blurry. I create the PDf file using the option "[high quality Print]." I tried to change several settings of the printer, but nothing makes a difference. The problem does not occur when printing in black and white, nor does it occur on PDF that create from word or other applications. Can someone please? Thanks Mel

This PDF presets do you use? The problem is often when you have transparency on the page and save to the pdf format flattened as PDFX-1a or PDF1.3.

Original title: impression of the printer

    Hi Gwen,

What is the brand and model of the printer?

I suggest you to make sure that all the printer cables are correctly connected and that the printer is turned on. The State of a printer offline may be due not to the power of the printer.

This problem can also occur if the printer is not compatible with Windows 8. You can enter the printer model number and check if the printer is compatible with Windows 8 in the Windows Compatibility Center.

If all the basic settings are checked and are up to the mark, you can follow the methods to solve the problem:

Replace the printer offline online mode:

    a. Type "devices and printers" on thesplash screen. This will open a window with a list of the printers currently installed on your computer.

    b. double-click the icon of the printer that you want to change online. The status of the printer appears as "printer: loan'or' 'printer: Offline." "

    c. click on "printer: Offline" and the menu of the printer. Click on "printer" in the menu bar and uncheck the box 'Use printer offline'. This action will change the printer from offline to online mode.

Also, run the printer Troubleshooter and update printer drivers.

  • Printer offline depending on laptop when connected wireless

Hi I have a wireless c309a printer connected to my laptop via a netgear router. My children, off the printer and now it is back on the laptop says that it is offline. I reported a test of the wireless network that says that everything is fine and it is connected. When I put the IP address in the web browser, it tells me that the printer is connected and everything works. So what's happening? Why not print?

Yes, if the IP address of the printer changes all the time your computer may have a difficult time finding.

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address). If you don't know it, enter the current IP address.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Let the gateway and DNS white. Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
