Printhead HP K8600 problem

My HP K8600 has had many problems with white lines that cross colors. After months of neglect, I finally ran the print quality diagnostic and then ran page about 8 sheets 'Align print heads' and 10 'Clean the heads' leaves. The print quality has improved slightly, but it was obvious that he was always streaks (white lines) in magenta.

After a lot of research online, I decided to try to clean the printheads cyan/magenta myself by letting them soak in warm water. I dried them with cotton balls and reinserted into the printer. Now, I have a message "printhead problem" on my computer screen and printer will not print.

Please advise!

  • Weird K8600 problem

My K8600 worked perfectly until today (you mind I've only had since February and 91 pages). But today the strangest problem appeared - I cannot print from any application other than HP Printer Utility or the web interface to HP (the following error message and the flashing lights, "the printer is paper. Check the paper tray and add more paper if necessary to continue printing. ». This is despite the fact that the document is complete and works when I do the work around without touching the tray paper) unless I have save the work of printing in PDF format, open it in preview and then print. It's certainly a printer problem, as the same error occurs of the Mac in the network tries to print to it and apply the same work around. Any help would be much appreciated.

I found the solution on the Apple discussion Forum. I was connected through the router when I first set up the printer. We then had a power failure and when I went to reconnect the printer through the network I selected the Hello K8600 FRO the printer appears. The solution is to connect using the LPD option and enter the IP address of the printer and use the driver HP K8600. I have now reconnected to the printer and all is well now.

  • The following printhead (s) has a problem: yellow/black [K/Y].

I bought 'HP OJ Pro L7380 AiO' on 12-06 - 2008 and it took out of the box on 12-08 - 2008, and when I tried to install it, the first time, I get the error:

    The following printhead (s) has a problem: yellow/black [K/Y].

    Edit (add this paragraph):
(1.), I turned on the printer for the first time, and it was not connected to the computer.
    (2) this error on the printer screen after some initials self-tests & installation messages.
(3.) I tried to remove & clean the black print head & putting back a few times, but it did not help.

I used "the following printhead (s) has a problem" to search for information on the internet (Google) and found ONLY this phrase:
    The following printhead (s) has a problem: yellow/black [K/Y].

This only means and confirms that the "Black" printhead has a problem and HP has done NOTHING to solve this problem. HP didn't even bother to warn / help buyers at the time of purchase.

I called HP customer service and I was told to take the printer to service center. .. Out of the box and the service center! It's so frustrating!

I lost the satisfaction of purchasing a new product!

It's JUST that I buy a new printer, get out the box and have to take it to service center because it won't get installed?

Since you have owned less than a week, can you not take her back to the store and exchange it?  If you bought it online, then a return period as well.  Or you can directly call HP and tell them you want to return if you have no way to take it back to the place of purchase.

Unfortunately, sometimes things just happen, and products are shipped with defects.  This happens to every manufacturer at one point.  Take the printer back and exchange it.

  • K8600 print not correctly, magenta

We cannot get our k8600 print colors correctly.  Ran some diagnostic impressions and looks like the magenta is not good impression.  We replaced the cartridge with a brand new and still the same.  Does this mean the printhead needs replacement?  I have a pdf of all the pages of diagnostics if that allows anyone to determine if the print head is in fact the problem.

New printhead solved the problem.  Thanks for the help.

  • Designjet Z2100: HP Designjet Z2100 does not print MK

I have a HP Z2100 44 "which is out of warranty for several years.  Recently, we noticed that the color printing large format have been turned off (do not look right).  Finally, we ran a diagnostic image (see below) and found that there is no matte black printing (MK).  All other colours print completely and correctly in the image diagnosis, except MK.  I ran this test with bond paper and glossy photo - the results are the same.  No MK ink is printed during each test.

We replaced the cartridge MK both MK/Cyan printhead, but the problem persists.

Any suggestions for how to start troubleshooting when one color is unable to print?

    Thank you

    Jer

This question seems to have been caused by other defective printhead.  I had already replaced the printhead, but it replaces a second time seems to have solved the problem.  For the time being.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g: B87126D0 - turn the power off and then on again - Officejet Pro 8500 A909g

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500

    Hello
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer
I do not use it for more than a year.
I tried to print, I tried to clean the heads.
He prints little, but not enough color.

My question is: if I change the ink cartridges, it is the guarantee that it will print in a new?

My concern are the components between the print head and ink cartridges.

    Hi @Robert_Client,

I have read your message and see that you would like to know if the printer still work correctly, if you change the cartridges, because it has not been used for a year. I can help you.

When the printer is turned on, the printer will periodically perform maintenance cycles that use small amounts of ink to clear the nozzles and keep them clearly, if the printer is not used for long periods of time. Without regular maintenance cycles, the print head gets dirty. (months to a moment turns off) HP inkjet printers have shutdown routines, where the printer head printing of parks and the cartridge caps. When the printer is off and that the printer has been idle for a while and he goes to the power save mode. The printer can sit for an extended period without drying of the ink in the print head and without harm to the printer.

If the ink levels are good, then I will try the following to see if they will help.

Here is a document to check the cartridges. I would clean the contacts on them also.

A "ink cartridge seems to be missing or corrupt" Error Message appears on the printer control PA... "

I submitted this document to manually clean the print heads.

"The following printhead appears to be missing or corrupt" or "the following printhead has a problem...

I hope this helps. If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below. Thank you.

  • Print heads do not last more than 3 months - OfficeJet 6500

I have a printer wireless OfficeJet 6500 running on Windows 7 and 8 of the window.

I ordered 3 print heads since I bought this printer.  The first print head lasted a year.  The second lasted almost a year.  This current printhead lasted less than three months.  I do not use the printer that much.  Maybe a few prints per month.

    There is no error anywhere.

The impression fades to very, very light black printing grey.  And with colors, so time they appear at all.  Replace the printhead fixed the problem in the past, but is this normal?

    Thank you

    -Steve Summerlin.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 prints incorrect color photo

My new Officejet pro 8500 prints once accuate color. But then, when I print another photo that is Lavender in color.

    Gibas

    Hello Gibas,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

It might be possible that the poor quality of the image when printing with the 8500 is due to print heads. Given that you have uninstalled, restarted, etc it may be preferable to focus on them.

You can try to clean the print heads, this guide will show you the correct way to clean: "the following printhead appears to be missing or corrupt" or "the following printhead has a problem" Message displays on the all-in-one.

Let me know if this can help,

    Hello RobertHuntley.

The last option would be to contact Customer Service to see if there is something else that the printhead causing the problem. I've included a link to the contact information for your printer.

I wish you the best. Sorry I couldn't do more to help.

  • 3520 do not copy

My 3520 stand alone office do not copy or print in black.  It was working fine, then stopped.  Everything seems to work, and there is a sense of color but not black, even with a brand new HP ink cartridge.  It is only to be used as a copier autonomous and not connected to my computer. Any suggestions?

It is possible that the printer got one of the ports in the clogged printhead or a problem of electric ink system developed.  There are a few troubleshooting available to help determine if the problem is fixable, or a hardware problem which led to the replacement of the product.

Click here to access the document to the Deskjet 3520 with the steps to solve a print quality problem, such as no printing black ink.
