The printhead for the HP Photosmart e6520 may be replaced, or can it be cleaned only? If so, how often should it be cleaned? Thanks for a response.

  • Maintenance of printhead HP Photosmart 6510/replacement?

I have a HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m CD035a of model that comes with having its printhead failure (CN643A).  Although I work for HP (Enterprise Services), it is too expensive to replace so I bought a Photsmart 6510 AIO.  The B209a-m, I liked how I could remove the print head Assembly and to clean up the grime of the ink of ramps, etc..  It seems that on my new 6510, the print head Assembly can be without mowing of the cart - but once that loose, there is no authorization to remove the print head for cleaning.

This can be accomplished?  I have to remove a screw or am I missing something?  As this is a new printer, I was trying to assess if this is a negative in my choice, if it cannot be removed for the maintenance cleaning.

The only thing I have to add is:

I managed to remove the print head and used a few head cleaning Epson I've had, in order to eliminate the heads black and color. I guess that distilled water would also work. After cleaning the black works well again.

Remove the cover as described previously by others.

After you have removed the cover, remove the print head ASSEMBLY:

1 carefully remove the film (large 5/16") close looking for band that crosses the print head Assembly by; releasing

the tension on the left side by moving it to the print head, on the right end drag strip out of the corner

crochet.   Note the marks and which is the top and left and right side for correct orientation at the meeting.

    2. Remove money (2) springs to the rear of the door-printhead

    3. slide and tilt forward support

    4. carefully remove the ribbons of the support cables (just pull on)

5 have your way of the print head!

    6. then, I shed cleaner down the screens from the top, then slung to force the vacuum through the head on the

    background. I did several times.

7 Sling on dry excess fluid, pat with a paper towel

8 reinstall the cables in water, then put back in the printer, the springs and then re-install the thin layer as the Strip through

guides on the support (do not forget to install in the same way, it has been deleted in the measure of the top and bottom and that end)

on the right) and then the lid as described above.

A note: I got a Kodak printer and went through the same thing with her whenever he had sat for several days without use. Cost me a fortune in ink running the cleaning. Looks like HP's more Kodak. My HP printers with ink cartridges that have the printhead on them are no problem. If they do not print right, just throw away them and with the new cartridge, you also have a new print head. It looks like if I continue to have this problem with this 65510 will travel the path of the Kodak, in the trash! Had the same problem with the Epsons so I guess all that's left are brother and Canon!

Hope this helps some of you.

FLASH: 25/03/14 arrested black print again! After extracting new hands in the dirty, I found the real problem that everyone is probably cause trouble. There are pipes on the printhead carrier going to the vacuum pump and him on the side of the printer in a tray in felt. Black hose of my print head was completeyl plugged with dried ink. I could rinse with distilled water and a syringe. This work is not for the faint of heart, but if you tear systematically in such things and that the printer is out of warranty you have to lose! I could guide you how to do it if you're interested, but a bit long for here. Write me if you want information ([under the direction of privacy]). I tell myself that these pipes do not allow to draw the head during the cleaning process, the ink of the pump so it dries just in the head. Good luck.

  • Error printhead HP Photosmart 7520

So I bought a HP Photosmart 7520 over 3 months ago and about 2 weeks ago I got an error saying that there is a print cartridge error. I could get of it and fine print, but it is gradually degraded until whenever I turn on the printer it says that there is a printhead error and it's not moving from here. It connects to the WLAN because the blue light is on continuously and makes noise, but I can't seems to dump in the error message. Help! I contacted HP and they said that there was no problem of the printer and that he had a problem with my computer and I had to get it fixed. Now it is fixed will cost me more that he'll buy a new printer. I mean, I bought a photosmart older and who did not break up because of software glitching butbecause he fell of my office.

TO remedy this I considered reinstalling windows and going through the trouble to reinstall everything or do I have to change my SSID for my wireless network. Who's going to do me any good?

I really need help, and I don't want to have to buy a new printer, I'vehad decent luck with HP products, but after 2 months, its pretty sad. I could really switch to Canon, but I did not like the nice things, this printer could do.

I do not recommend the use of unconventional measures to clean the print head, because then you would not be eligible for a replacement, if you are still in warranty.  I offer this link as a last resort, but it can't really fix the problem you are having: "black ink not working do not.

I think that if you call technical support at another time during the day, you will have more chance to reach a true professional. If this is not the case, let me know and I'll send you a link on where to buy a new printhead from the printer. The link in my previous post includes the same steps that a phone agent must follow to confirm the replacement so don't be aware, you may need to repeat these steps.

    Are you still in warranty?

  • Missing printhead HP Photosmart 5510?

I just experienced the same problem as a previous poster with my all new photosmart 5510.  On the tray upward, after removing all packaging and installed the cartridges, I get the error message: "the printhead is missing" "lift the latch, reinstall the print head and then lower the latch.

I can't find a latch and everything seems to be where it should be.  It's driving me crazy.  Help, please.  I don't want to really return.

This printer does not have a removable printhead of the customer. If you get a message like that, then there is a problem with the print head. Unfortunately, I think contact technical support is in the order 800-474-6836.

Can I use USB cable my old printer to the HP Photosmart all-in-One e-6520? My old printer was not a wireless printer.

USB cables are standard, you should have no problems.  Don't you have a wireless router? There are advantages to set up the printer on a network, rather than directly connected by USB.

  • Photosmart 8230. How to remove the printheads to clean?

Hi guys, I have a Photosmart 8230. After a few lines of print that black ink fades to almost nothing, all the colors are perfect. There is no error message. I did self cleaning and alignment procedures and wasted a lot of expensive ink. The test page comes out with streaks on the black only. It has been suggested that I have remove the printhead and immerse it in hot water as a last resort. The question is, how do I remove the print head? or should I use it as a sea anchor!

I just did this to a HP Photosmart 8250, which is in the range of 8000 series. I guess they are similar. I was a repair man and many other tings have done in my life, I decided to take a shot at fix my 8250 rather than junk food it. 3 years it was great, the jam only paper and quickly great photos, so I didn't give up on this. HP will not repair printers for us, I think because it's too much hard work, and they can sell one for what it would cost.

In fact, I have fixed my HP 8250 Photostat. His work, but color printing is not as good as he was, yet, but I hope that will improve all the colored inks to work their way through the system.

  • Photosmart 5510 model B111a: cleaning of the printheads used the ink!

I cleaned my print heads. It took several times.  Now it's better, BUT all my NEW ink cartridges are nearly empty!

    Hi @mbburley,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a Photosmart HP 5510 printer e-All-in-one that needs to have the print head cleaned, and when the print quality was satisfactory the 'new' ink cartridges were nearly empty. I would like to help with that.

Ink cartridges certainly get a little more impoverished every time that the print head is cleaned. Cleaning the printhead several times, can finally empty ink cartridges at the point where the printer requires that you replace the ink cartridge.

Here is a document that we can follow in the future that can help you with the problems of print quality - fixing of problems print quality for the Photosmart HP 5510 e-all-in-One Printer Series.

If the print head is badly clogged, you may have need clean the printhead several times to restore the normal print quality, but you should not use a complete set of new cartridges with a print quality problem.

If you find that it is a recurring problem, I suggest to contact our technical support at the www.hp.com/contacthp/. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-Assis ANSI.org/access/access_t.html

  • Can't find printhead replacement for HP Photosmart 7510 C311a

Printer suddenly stopped printing.  Until my only option was to replace the print head has crossed all diagnoses.  I have problems to find how/where to order.  Troubleshooting referred me to the CN643A part but when I click on that it shows a drop-down list of the machines of the part is compatible with and my machine is not listed.

Are which country you located?  Here, the document suggests the CN642A as appropriate for the Photosmart 7510 C311a print head (at least for me, to the United States).

Is your printer still under warranty? You can check with the tool of warranty HP here.

Before ordering a replacement print head I suggest you soak the printhead as described in the document here, it can solve the problem.

  • Photosmart c7510 all-in-one - wrong printhead?

Large black ink no longer works.  Replacement cartridge. Same result.  Cleaned the contacts on the print head.  Same result.  Using our serial number and the product code, the website of parts (www.partsurfer.hp.com) shows: HP PHOTOSMART 7510 EAIO PRINTER.  Under the print head it shows a part of being: CB326-30002 TJ 4.0 print head Assembly.  I ordered via Amazon CB326-30002.  Once installed in the printer and the cartridges in place, I get the error message that the printhead is damaged or the wrong part.  I asked to return the printhead to Amazon.  However, the original printhead has stamped on the CB326B code.  Is the CB326-30002 a newer version?  Should I order CB326-30001?  I can't find how to order CB326B.  This could be a firmware issue that needs to be updated?  If so, how do new firmware?  We need to print.  I like the printer and don't want to part with them due to a print head and cost.  It is not guaranteed in 11 months.

    Hello pokiegump,

Sorry to say that the print head for the Photosmart 7510 is not available off HP IAM.

  • Is there a unit of different printhead for cartridge 564XL printer B210A Photosmart Photo?

I recently bought a set of Multipack 564XL ink cartridges for my printer and says black cartridge Photo on it and it is more narrow than the cartridge 564XL black, who is currently in the printer.  Given that I was going to print photos, I tried to install the new photo cartridge and it does not fit (the "key" on the rear face of the cartridge is different).  I know that the Assembly of the print head containing the cartridges will eject.  I was wondering if there is a meeting of different printhead that I can buy that will contain the photo cartridge?

    Hello

The Photo 564 ink cartridge is not compatible and cannot be used with the model B210.

There are different models that use 5 ink cartridges (e.g. Photosmart C410, 7510) and also uses the Photo ink cartridge. your model supports ink black, yellow, Magenta and Cyan.

    Kind regards

    Shlomi
