OK, I will assume that the connection of the printer to the router and the router are OK for 3 other devices work correctly.

Make sure that your OS X is healthy:

    1. download and install OS X Combo Update.
    2. download and install the printer drivers HP from Apple.

After that, you can reset the printing system once more.

  • Photosmart HP: Printing problems with my HP Photosmart

I had problems with my photosmart for awhile. For a while, when I would plug into the usb port of my computer, I had received the error "the disk you inserted is not readable by this computer. I used to ignore the error and used to print anyway.

Yesterday, someone pushes my printer without unplugging the usb by behind. Now, when I try to print something, I see in the queue of the printer, the error message saying "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." "Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and look for errors in the printer and turn on the printer. I got it done and straightened my computer as well, but it does not work. After that, I opened the printer utility via my computer to print a test page, and it worked really, which is strange.

    Thanks for your help,

    Sarah

    Hi @stoukan,

I see that you are getting the error "communication error: the computer is therefore more able to communicate with your printer." Turn off the printer, check your printer connections and search for printing errors and turn the printer. I would like to help you today. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "" accept as Solution"" down below this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

What is the name and the product number of your printer? How can I find my model number or product number?

Turn on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation. The USB cable should not be more then 6 feet. Make sure that the USB cable is connected directly to the computer. (not a station or a hub) Try a different USB port on the computer. Check that the USB cable is connected to the appropriate port on the back of the printer.

Check if the Mac sees the printer is connected.

Go to the Apple, select about this Mac, system report, select USB.
Do you see the printer listed?

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:
    Close all applications.
In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.
    Double-click disk utility.
Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.
Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.
    Click on Printers & Scanners.
Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the name and the correct password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

    Try to print again.

If you're still having problems, please try another USB cable.

If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.

  • Problem with the HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printing. Ink system failure could not copy-

I'm having a problem on my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printing. The following message appears, this is what came on the screen of the printer: ink system failure has not not able to copy, receive faxes or print. Refer to the documentation for the printer error O.cl9a0007.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Spider! First of all welcome on the forum.

I recommend to remove all ink cartridges, disconnect the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer and then turn off the printer completely by unplugging the power cord. Then, restart your computer. Turn on the printer but leave that he disconnected from the computer. After that he ended his power over the cycle forward and reinsert the ink cartridges in the printer and make sure their seat correctly.

After you have all the cartridges in the printer correctly, then connect it to the computer. See if that fixes the problem. If not post back with no results.

    Thank you

  • problems with hp printer photosmart d110 - connectivity

More often than otherwise, I'm going to print to this printer from one of our laptops wireless and it won't print.

Whenever this happens, and I run a wireless test, the printer is still fine.

The printer appears in my devices window and seems to be fine.

Troubleshooting never translates into a response.

Usually, when this happens, the spooling print window that displays the status of print jobs says that the printer is offline.  I removed the checkmark next to "use printer offline" last time it was is past, and that it's worked.  I had tried before anything will do, but thought that perhaps it has been fixed once for all this time.  Especially since I saw in another post this fixed the problem of someone else.

Tonight, it doesn't print, says nothing about being offline, but just says: "error" in the status column.  No other information.

At the top of the list in the window where I can put as a default value, select this option for use in offline mode, etc., the word 'connect' appears.  It is not an option... the word is gray when all the other words are in black characters, and clicking it has no effect.

I can always choose the printer of course, he sees the laptop on the network and it seems normal until you try to print.

It doesn't seem to matter what laptop that I use, I'm having this problem with both.  I also had problems similar with this printer using any other wireless and portable.  So I don't think that it's the laptop, operating system, or anything with the network, just the printer itself.

Suggestions?  I wish that there is a quick fix.  I'm starting to think that it is defective.

    Hi SRS12,

Is model # D110 you printer a or b?  Here are some steps I take for a quick solution when a printer was working wireless and suddenly quit.

    1. Make sure that the print queue is empty.  If delete you it, or if it was already empty and you can not print, take the next step.
    2. Download and run HP Print and Scan for Windows doctor.  If there is no change, go to step 3.
    3. Reset your wireless network, as described in the following link.  Click here

    Let me know the results.

    Good luck!
