printing defect

I go to 'print' and defaults to always "fax" setting. I have to change the configuration in the menu dropdown. How can I set the default to 'print' print parameter, not 'fax '?

milkprod,

Try clicking on the ORB start and browse the devices and printers. Find here your printer and do a right click and set as the default value. Let us know if it helps.

Good luck!

  • Designjet Z6200: Z6200 - strange printing defect

    Hi all

We have a failure happening on one of our printers Z6200.

Remove us the media and test on other units and do not have this problem, so I guess that excludes media as the question.

It's a paper coated with HW. We tried the profile for HW and Super HW.

    Please see the attached images.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix?

    See you soon,.

    Hi all

    Here's what it is.

Apparently this started happening after a few strikes of transport.

I checked the Scan axis and everything was fine, but if I ran the Scan axis with the media on the milling table you could here a noise from friction on the media.

I removed the transport so I could see the bottom and he was there. Two 2 damaged printheads (Magenta / yellow) which were rubbing some along the media to create the default.

    Congratulations to all.

  • Photosmart 7520: Black ink not printing

Black ink is not printing, but the colors and black picture are are OK.  There has been no error messages and troubleshooting routine HP Diagnostics reported nothing wrong. I also ran the last alternative to remove the printheads, soak in water hot, drying, resettlement and using the builtin cartridge cleaning procedure, but still not back to print. Whemn firstg of failure occurred, it had about half the black ink remaining in the cartridge. After trying the procedure clean has nothing helps, I installed a new cartridge purchased about three weeks ago. I did the rest of cleaning, soak and then clean with this new cartridge. The printer is connected wireless to this computer Windows 7-64, and also sireless related to a desktop Vista 32 machine and a Vista 64 laptop machine. All computers have the black printing defect.

    Any ideas?

Is it possible to know that the purchase of a new printhead will solve the problem?

The machine is out of warranty.

I restarted the printer to try the suggestion of the copy, and he entered a period of 4 minutes of 'something'. Then he told me that he had a "problem with the printer or the ink system" then to turn off the machine and if the problem continues contact HP. (this is the first error message that I got through it all). I tried once more, with the same results, but not too long to 'do something '.

  • LaserJet 4MP cleaning

Bought my LaserJet in 1993 and he never gave me any problems. Need a new toner cartridge. Is no longer available at HP. Found it (unit, brand new, sealed, HP) on eBay.  After installing, the copies are terrible - grey smear and the ghosts of the previous printed pages. Am running WIN7 64 bit. Downloaded HP software cleaning, but the will, nor run on a system 64-bit. Anyone else out there with my problem?

    Hey!

Glad to hear that you like your 4MP I'm not sure which country you are, but the 98 is still available at HP. See here. In addition, staples is the Canada and the United States.

If you put in your old cartridge, the problems disappear? In regards to printing defects, I found this guide to be more useful (although apparently he doesn't have a section for ghosting)

I would try to re-allocation of places the cartridge in the printer; ghosting could flow from the cartridge is based do not (it can not completely discharge the charge that has been applied, where ghosting).

    According to this page:

    • Try a test a half to limit.
    • Place one sheet of paper in the manual feed and press the button on top of the printer to start a self-test when the paper disappears, then press the button on the side of the printer that the upper door and stops printing.
Remove the cartridge and check the paper to see if the Ghost is present at this point if yes, then it's probably the cartridge if not then it is the fuser Assembly.
    • The number of times it is repeated at the bottom of the page will also be you indicate origin of the defect.

    Hope that helps!

  • ENVY 100 D410a failed AirPrint

How can I set up my printer to have a different printing defect, when a print job is coming from my iPhone 4 via AirPrint vs the default I have configured for e-mail.

Nope.  It is designed to be an interface for quick and easy printing for printing through your mobile device without having to install software, etc.  You might want to try HP iPrint.  It is a free application that will allow you a greater amount of customization.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 kills Windows XP Networking

OfficeJet pro 8600, several computers Windows XP networking.

I have 4 different 8600 OfficeJet Pro installed on 4 different sites, purchased from different vendors. In any case, I get the same problem.

There is a network problem. All printers are connected to the network.

The printer is not the cause of the problem. The problem persists even if the printer is turned off.

The problem is that: when the computer is turned on all night, the next morning, Web pages aren't accessible, and the networks of communication with the printer is missing. You cannot print, and you can not navigate.

You can ping the router, ping the external DNS servers, and you can test Web pages. Navigation is affected. And printing.

Turning the printer off and restarts do not affect the problem. Restarting the computer solves the problem.

Kill all the services of iexplorer running in taxk Manager solves the problem.

HP support says it is a XP problem and they have no intension to work on the problem. They think it's a network problem disconnected operating system after 2 hours. They are wrong. I left the computer alone for more than 4 hours and the problem is. It occurs if you leave the computer on all night.

Windows XP-based computers were all updated for the latest updates and are running SP3.

The solution is to disable the computer function on computer analysis, solves the problem of navigation.  Always change the notification of ink for printing only.  This action has resolved the problem of printing defect.

I have the latest version of the software and the latest firmware.

I can't believe that if panasonic can write software because it has networked copiers (all printers) that still work and are easy to install on windows xp, HP cannot write similar software.  I am referring to analyze computer software.

  • SESCrawlerExport works only with script Source custom location

I have configured the SESCrawlerExport component in the content of my Webcenter (11.1.1.8.0 - 2013-07-11 17:07:21Z - r106802 (Build: 7.3.5.185)) in "SESCrawlerExport configuration" page, I had defined two Source names: "accounting, default". I have also configured the host name, place of supply, Admin Email items Maximum per Datafeed (1000), Caterpillar (admin) Role, flow per Source (-1), disable Secure API (false)

Then, I clicked on "Configure the Script Source location". I added this script:

    < form $if dDocType $ 'ADACCT' >

    accounting

    < $else$ >

    by default

    < $endif$ >

During the test (TextBox), I entered one of the Content ID I check in my Webcenter content. By clicking on Test, I get

    Test results: & lt; $if dDocType as "ADACCT" & gt; accounting & lt; $autre$ & gt; by default & lt; $endif$ & gt;

    Question:

What is the expected result? Basically, the Script Source location text gets encoded in html and gets displayed as test results. I have it expect accounting print defect or an error.

In addition, I see no error in the log files. Can someone please help me understand how I can get only the name of the source (instead of entire script)?

    Hello

I think you see the same question as stated here: script idoc '<' becoming="">

Apply the patch even to the WCC server and then test the source for THE components test.

    Thank you

  • Photosmart Pro B9180 'Replace due to defective print head' WARNING

My B9180 gave me the msg "replace the defective print head" after a period of inactivity.  I'm using Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro 10.6.8.  The printer went through several periods of non-use, since I bought it used, but almost nine.  Usually, I experience white lines in my impressions after using the printer, I've always been able to fix by cleaning of the nozzles and/or the print heads, either automatically, or manually.  The last round resulted in the warning "defective printhead" even after repeated manual cleaning.  In fact, the process to put off the printer and back, with and without unplugging it, led to 'replace' warnings for ALL the printheads several times, only 2 print heads a couple of times a moment seems to be giving me just the consistantly 'replace magenta/yellow print head.  The strip of plastic that surrounds the ink nozzles is loose to the point of current on the PH.  My printer is no longer under warranty, but before I spend money on phone support and new print heads, I want to look at other possibilities.  The book says that if the manual cleaning of the printheads does not, HP support should be contacted, suggesting that there could be other possible remedies, before you buy new print heads.   I wouldn't begin to buy new print heads to find that again, they will not work because of some other problem.  I am also concerned by the other warnings of print head, even if they did not intervene now.

Also, opening lid for cleaning of the PH, I noticed a lot of ink accumulate in 4 coarse foam pads, each in its own little tray located inside the printer on the right side.  some of them were overflowing. / I carefully daubbed a part of the ink with q-tips, but I wonder if this condition could be or cause problems.

    Ideas?

Finally got tired of waiting on HP.  Expected response Bob during the 'days of Forum' or whatever they called.  My problems with their goods should not have affected them too!

FYI, I ordered a new printhead magenta/yellow, installed and still had "replace print head faulty warning."  Has released the new printhead, cleaned of some sort of clear, gelatinous * beep * of gold contacts with a q - Tip and reinstalled.  Surprisingly, printer started working.  (Took a lot of time to do her routine 'thump, bump & hum'.)  Don't know how long it will last.

My next printer will be a Canon or an Epson!

  • Defective print heads reported

    Hello

My Officejet 8000 A809 has print runs streaky - the black cartridge seems to be the problem.

I ran the print head cleaning utility and it showed the black print printhead correctly but when I tried to print a document it printer reported that cyan/magenta printhead were defective and had to be replaced. I had a paper jam while the unit was running - if this means something :-)

These print heads are genuine HP and less than two weeks old. However I have heard and replaced two of them (with genuine HP products), but the printer continues to report that the print heads are defective.

What is the problem here? Any ideas?

    TIA... Brett

    Forget it, silly me!

I was confused with the cartridges printheads.

    Sorry :-)
