    Hello

If the video stream seems ok so everything seems to be ok with the graphics card.

I think that either there is a problem with the CD/DVD driver or the software itself.

I studied a bit in this forum and found this thread about a very similar problem:

  • Windows Vista problems and DVD

I got in trouble for awhile with my DVD RW
I can read and write the cdroms.  I can write on DVD without using any additional software but windows.  I can not read or read that DVD software or movies, including software to reinstall windows vista.
I asked here several times for help and decided to restore the computer to factory settings.
Then, I followed closely ALL the following:

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry entries
that the troubleshooter does not, and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your system manufacturer Maker and device for possible firmware updates and the good
    Your player registry entries.

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the reader of CD/DVD subkeys of course that he will be
other subkeys in these keys. Be sure to ask specific keys involved as well as the parameters.

For the first problem, I received the following message is displayed:

UNRESOLVED PROBLEM: MEDIA IN THE UNREADABLE CD/DVD DRIVE.  THE DRIVE IS EMPTY OR MEDIA MARKER NOT ACCEPTED.

I am trying all the new ideas.

Remember that the drive is really 4 readers separated in parts of a case if some works do not

  • HDD and DVD problem SATA1 and SATA3

Yesterday my computer started to have problems with Seagate on SATA3 (disc L) disc. Finally my L drive has not even appear under my computer. After that, I noticed that my DVD ROM is not appear as a drive letter more either. I have an E521.

Boot Samsung on SATA disk 0.

    Burner DVD player SATA 2.

DVD ROM was in SATA 1.

Seagate disc L was on SATA 3.

I have SATA 0 (boot disk) and 2 SATA DVD burner. Both known and always good work.

If I move the burner DVD SATA 1 or SATA 3, it does not appear in my computer.

If I add L or DVD-ROM SATA drive 2 neither one works there either.

SATAs are turned on in the BIOS.

It seems that the SATA-1 and SATA 3 work at all and when I try 2 devices which were attached to SATA 1 and SATA 3 on SATA2 they fail there also.

Is is possible that the SATA-1 and SATA 3 are "toast" and "grilled" these 2 devices when they got out?

The SATA-1 and SATA 3 attached somehow?

After extensive troubleshooting, it seems that only SATA 0 and SATA2 actually work more and DVD ROM or Seagate Drive L will work on SATA 2 (a known port work.)

If I just plug in and go to F2 under SATA options, each unit is actually recognized in the BIOS but never appears in my computer or in storage devices in administrative tools.

Nothing has changed I was runnning like that for more than a year.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • HDD and dvd are not recognized in the configuration menu, what could be the problem?

The hard drive and dvd drive are not recognized on the configuration menu for my desktop Pavilion a4316f.  What is a controller failure?  A PCI controller can be used to replace the motherboard controller?

    dhobs,

Anguish, that the suffering of the faulty motherboard has been aggravated by your actions. Why you decided to perform a restore (which re - formate the disk, erase all your data files (documents, photos, videos to misic,) is really amazing.)

You had a viable BONE, work and the data store. You he clobbered with recovery. As explained, the 'tattoo' reads the embedded hardware configuration and will stop at the resumption of treatment if it detects a change.

Only temporary help I can offer is to open the computer case and install a small 12v on the NVidia chip fan. IF the chip is not 100% burned, you can earn low enough time to reinstall the operating system and then add the map.

And I found that I'm unable to write on cd - r. I used alcohol and Nero once but without success.

Although the same content when it is burned to cd - rw, it is a success.
I am able to burn successfully on a support DVD + RW 4 x with data amounting to close to 4.34 GB for DVD5...

    Please help me.
It is only 7 months since I bought this laptop and believe that there may be no other person on this planet who looks after the training better than me!
Really, I have not much used this drive and never scratched/gradient/local support, only the Supermedium media inserted.

    Thank you

    Hello

Well, based on your description it sounds like the drive cannot calibrate the lens and, therefore, it of not possible to read or write to these media.
Usual it of not possible to fix this and the replacement drive is necessary.

You can also consult the user manual. You will find a list with all supported and compatible media.

  • Drive DVD TS-L632D not write & burning CD and DVD

I have a portable Hassee W230r with a tsst ts-l632h DVGW DVD player.
Recently, the DVD drive is not burning DVDs or write data on DVD discs.
It allows to write DVD OK, but now after it said burning was a success, there's nothing on the disc.

Sometimes it sucessfully writes CD, other times it fails, especially when creating audio CDs and t plays most of the DVD (although sometimes he jumps about 5 minutes before you load the CD and DVD)

I can't find a driver for it, and to be honest Im not sure of time I should be using a driver, or "firmware".

I have dual boot XP and Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. Ubuntu Hardy comes with its own drivers for Hardware, but I get the same problems using Ubuntu on Windows. Which made me think that it was a hardware problem.

The laptop is 6 months old.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    > I have a laptop of Hassee W230r

It is a forum of Toshiba and discuss us problems on Toshiba laptops.

Your laptop is not a Toshiba machine!
I recommend to ask support from the laptop manufacturer

You are able to use the STRANGE for CD and DVD burning? Have you tested with different data, burned onto CD/DVD or you have this problem with specific data such as movies or music?

  • Satellite P20 - copy of CD and DVD

I recently had a problem with Windows on my laptop Toshiba Satellite P20. I ended up having to use the recovery disk Toshiba that came with the laptop and slowly started to do things to normal. However, I wanted to put in place the mechanism that would allow me to copy my CDs and DVDs.

I must have done this in the past when I bought the laptop 2 years ago but can't put in place now. If the laptop is equipped with a CD/DVD burner would be they delivered software as well? I can't find on all disks that came with the laptop or should I assume that I have installed the software separately from my own camera. I don't remember what it was called.

    Hello

I assume you are using Windows XP Home version.
The windows OS supports a CD handwriting option but not a DVD.
But the truth I put t like this option and I have never used.

I use the application to 3rd party like Nero. For me it's one of the best burning programs. You can burn various CD and DVD. Everything is possible (audio, video or data)

  • Music CD and DVD do not work on satellite notebook

    Hey people

I have a problem. I'm not very good with computers, but I know the basics. I have a Toshiba Equium with windows XP. It of my girlfriends, so when I got it was really slow with all its stuff student.

So I deleted everything and re-installed the computer to what it would have been when it is new, but now, nothing works. Music CD and DVD does not infact everything I put in the drive does not work. The orange light is on the cd player suggesting there is a CD player, but the computer is not picking it up.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello Klark

If the laptop is installed with the recovery media, there must be preinstalled WinDVD application and you should use it to watch original DVD movies. Have you already tested?

If you try to use original music CD try to boot with Windows media player. It should work. You can also install the latest version (v.11). What is with mp3 files? You hear mp3 files? Seems works well?

  • Qosmio G10: DVD-R and DVD + RW are the CD when inserted

When viewing my empty DVD drive via Windows Explorer, it displays "DVD - RAM drive".
When I put a blank disc DVD-R or DVD + RW (brand new Phillips) in the drive, the description of the car immediately passes to 'CD player', and I only get audio options.

I have never managed to write on a DVD from this machine. It is a completely standard generation, running XP Media Center.
It will play all CDs and DVDs I've tried. It is supposed to write in all DVD formats.

I've written on a CD without any problem previously - and (try to) DVD writing I disabled the "Enable CD writing on this automatic diaphragm.

Can someone tell me what I need to do?

    Thank you very much...

    Hello

I would say to change the AutoPlay settings in the properties of the CD/DVD drive. This option you will find in the AutoPlay tab.
Here you can choose the blank CD of content type, then the action.

  • Satellite A135 - problem with the CD/DVD burner

    Hey guys,.
A few days ago as nearly a week ago I had burned an audio CD for myself and it worked perfectly. Today when I tried to burn an image on my DVD, disaster. I use two software. IMGBURN & NERO. Unfortunately both failed me. What is happening is that the burning process starts normally, it shows that the buffering and burning taking place as well as caching of files. "Finally, it shows the burning process has been a success, but when it comes to verification, the drive appears saying: data verification failed - too many errors (Nero) and for IMGBURN it says ' they layouts do not match. When I reinsert the DVD, it shows that it is completely empty. Although both claim that the fire was successful. Later, I tried to burn a data dvd, still no luck, engraving, he shows successfully but verification fails and reinsert is empty.

    My laptop is: Satellite A135
    CD/DVDROM: TSST CORP TS-L632D ATA
    OS: Windows

the default windows was vista when I bought it.

    Hello

If you can't burn DVDs, then you should check first if it is a software problem based question or related equipment.

I've been reading about the reader of CD/DVD burning questions and as many times the registry has been corrupted.
Means that you was able to burn the DVD after you remove the upper and lower filters in the registry. Google for it and you'll find many pages.

Is there a problem of CD/DVD drive, then you should find a good update on the page of European Toshiba driver in your laptop. If there is no update firmware, then it means that this firmware is ok and it s not necessary to date.

Last but not Lea not all CD/DVD drive are compatible with all drives (CD and DVD).
Why? Because the different CD and DVD manufacturers produce own using different standards. In this case, it may be possible that not all discs will be properly treated

I had the same problem but might solve this problem by using TDK R CD or DVD

  • Satellite A100-788 cannot read CD and DVD RW

    Hello
I just bought a Satellite A100-788 and can not read the CD and DVD RW (DVD I tried is a Sony) with the CARPET * a DVD-RAM UJ - 841S.

I have downloaded the driver (v 5.0.2.5) on the Toshiba site, and tried to install it but it did not work (result is ok, but it's the previous version when I look at the properties: Microsoft 5.1.2535.0, 07/01/2001). Installation of this driver will fix my problem, or, as I read on the forums, I'm going to nead to install a new firmware version?

Anyone know what to do exactly?
    Thank you
    Stéphane

Have you tested different brands of CD and DVD?
As you may know the discs don't support all types of CD or DVD.
In my manual, I found a hint of support of the CD and the DVD.
This media must be tested and are compatible.

You check the manual for this list
