  When you try to start the photosmart C4680 printer a message to INSERT in CARD MEMORY askes, that I have not and never needed before.

  It does not print anything but empty sheets of paper and wants to digitize uninvited.

  I'm having the same problem. Can connect to print, but does not scan using Windows 7 and HP Photosmart 2710.

  HP's web site says that they do not have a Windows 7 driver that works for all. You will need to connect your computer to the device via USB to use the scan function.

  If all goes well, HP will find a way to generate a driver that allows all features of their unit to operate wireless with Windows 7. I can do both print and scan using my other Windows XP laptop and desktop using wireless driver HP Windows XP.

  I have the same HP Photosmart printer and had the same problem in the past with the functionality of the scanner.
  I suggest you uninstall the printer, download all the current drivers on the HP site.
  Reinstall the printer. I had to do several times because the scanner function is buggy.

• Power problem: Photosmart C6180

  My printer Photosmart C6180 continually lights stays on for about 30 seconds and then seems to lose power.

  I tried the troubleshooting steps already using different points of sale and unplug power for a period of time, but nothing has solved this problem.

  Someone know if it sounds like a problem with the printer or is there something wrong with the power supply?

  I recently bought an IMac running the Mavericks. All In One Photosmart attached usb prints fine but when I try to scan I get this message:

  HP Scan cannot be opened because of a problem.

  Check with the developer to make sure that HP Scan works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Don't forget to install the updates that are available for the application and OS X.

  Apple software update was supposed to download the updated drivers. This is not the case.

• I was using WIA in Photoshop Elements because of problems with my scanner HP ScanJet sudden 4200C window. With the help of my scanner HP through WIA worked very well. Now I have problems analysis with either WIA or the window of the HP scanner.

  Thank you for your message.  It seems that when you have downloaded and installed the driver from the HP website, you cannot have downloaded and installed the updates as well.  Click HERE to open the HP website and download the appropriate files.  Below, I will give an overview of what you need to download and install in order.
  1 ScanJet 4200C/Cse/Cxi PrecisionScan LT software/driver
  2 HP PrecisionScan LT for ScanJet 4200 c Scanner update. This update allows the parser to work under Windows XP.
  3. all three updates, in no particular order.

• Problem with CanoScan Scanner

  Recently, I replaced a defective scanner with a scanner CanoScan LiDE 220. I use this with Dell desktop PC running VIsta 32 bit. The scanner is connected through a USB cable. I can scan pictures to my Adobe software, no problem, but am unable to scan documents and print directly on my Canon PIXMA iP4850-printer. When I use the scan on the scanner button, I get the message "CanoScan IJ Uitility Scan has stopped working". I tried to reinstall the driver software for the scanner and also driver software downloaded from Canon.

  Can someone advise?

  Canon says you could DO what you were trying to do (use it as a copier via your computer) with the current set of equipment?

  I mentioned it to uninstall all software for Canon because...   How can I get my desktop to recognize the program on the CD?

  You could try to go to the manufacturer's Web site for the scanner and see if they have a Vista-specific software that you can download.

  I tried to install the drivers for a more BearPaw 2448TA scanner in the edition of Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

  This problem occurs because there is incorrect entries in the Shell folder of the user who is logged on to Microsoft Windows. When Windows Installer goes to the sale of Shell folder of the user who is logged on to the computer, Windows Installer cannot locate the correct entry.
