Problems of zip files

It's really weird,

I've done the merger on a couple of reg files

Add possession to context menus, specifically

Disable automatic sorting, the two sevenforums downloads with number,

But will not take the zip of restoration association,

Or add it extracted all files zip to the context menus.

Zip/reg is this because these files are not signed, because the properties display always blocked?

The association on the 32-bit is correct or what?

And what of the other compressed registration?

I have not tried to download the zip file / regs that do not fit on the 32-bit machine,

But did the first two, turn off the AutoSort and Add appropriate without any problem.

Seem bazaar than the zip and extract do not work.

Zip/reg is this because these files are not signed, because the properties display always blocked?

Blocked is normal as far as I KNOW, because the download happens via the TIF to low integrity.   Then you can try using the Protected Mode: disabled (or raise the iexplore.exe task) to see if it would avoid this symptom.   You can see the cause using ProcMon as a NTFS AlternateDataSTream called zone.identificateur is written with the downloaded file.

  • Problems downloaded ZIP file

I was download mods for a game that I play via Firefox and recently, I noticed that the files into several parts seem to have some problems when downloading.

First of all, they seem to take forever to work, and then when I update the download, they immediately seem to be finished. There is no search for viruses and stop them.

But once I open the file with WINRAR, it says that the archive is a format unknown or damaged. So I found the same file and downloaded with another browser, and it works.

My question is: How can I solve this problem simply? I tried to reinstall Firefox, but it always has the same question, probably because I kept all my settings and so on.

    Any help would be great.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

  • Security issues with Zip files

Let me start by saying that I have already disabled UAC on my Vista machine because I have trouble trying to do simple things like rename or delete a directory that I created.  Now, I have a problem with Zip files.  It seems that when I try to open a zip file that is sent to me by email I receive now an error message stating:

Windows found that this file is potentially harmful.

To help protect your computer, Windows has blocked access to this file.

    Name: Images for contest mar09

How does it help protect my computer?

How indeed?  There is no option for me to go forward with this.  I'm trying like Vista, but these continuous dams to my productivity are killing me.  Can someone tell me how I can get it?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you!

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

Your image has not come through.  What type of program you use for email? This happens with all files zip or just this one?

Try to right click on the file and save it.  Scan it with your antivirus to make sure.  Right-click on the file that you saved, and then select Properties.  Look down and see if there is an entry of security telling you that the file is blocked.  If you are sure that it is virus-free, click the Unlock button.

Let me know if this helps.

  • problem by opening the Zip file

I have 8.0 Zip when I create a zip file and open the zip file all show but open in notped.

The possible Zip files were dissasociated and rather associated with Notepad.  Go to start / Default programs / high a file or program with a Protocol / and go to .zip files.  It shows probably associated with Notepad.  Go to the following link: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the zip file option file and run it to reset the association of zip files.

If this does not work, install 7-Zip http://www.7-zip.org/ one good program free Zip.  This should establish associate files with 7-Zip Zip (OK this action if requested).  Then, use 7 - Zip to open the Zip file.

  • Problem opening PDF files .zip

I have 2 computers, both computers according to me to be configured identically.  Windows 7 x 64.  A service provider allows you to download a 'bundle' of PDFs in one zip archive.  One of my computers will open the .zip file in adobe merge all PDFs in a single document from the opening.  The other computer keeps giving me the error that .zip is not a supported file type.  I have reviewed the registry settings and made some adjustments based on other messages from the forum, but none solved the problem. Work computer using the software adobe reader 10, no computer started working with adobe 11, I tried to uninstall and install an older version, nothing helps.  Help, please!

My advice is to check the ZIP files with care. Since Acrobat is a not any tool to combine the contents of a ZIP into a single PDF file automatically, one of these two things is likely:

    1. the download is actually different for some reason any.

    2. There are additional software making the combination

My money is on '1' and I would recommend that you try to take the 'ZIP' file on different computers to compare.

  • Problems of extracting .zip files

I am not able to unzip a zip file.  I tried using the "right click; Extract all' and also tried "Drag and drop" the files compressed separately off the compressed xxx.zip file/folder, like the MS HELP says to do, but neither work.  There is no error message, just nothing happens.  What is blocking the decompress/extraction occur?

    Hello

Here are a few very good tutorials about it

Compress and uncompress a folder or file in Windows Vista Zip (Compress) files and folders

    http://maximumpcguides.com/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-a-folder-or-file-in-Windows-Vista/

Right click on a file or a folder with many files it contains, point to send to, and then select the compressed file (zipped file).

Windows Vista will compress (zip) the file or folder and save the new file zipped in the same place as the original file.

    Unzip (unzip) files and folders

You can unzip a file in several different ways.

    Double-click the zipped file

To decompress a file, the easiest method is to double-click it.  It will open a window with the contents of zipped files.  You can click on extract all files or drag the files from the window to the desired location (example: office).

If you choose to click on extract all files, the files will be extracted (unzipped) in the same location as the original file except if you specify that a location in her select a Destination and extract files in a box that appears when you choose to extract them.

    Right-click on the zipped file

Right click on the zip file and select extract all.  The Select a Destination window will open and extract files and you can choose if you want to save the files in the same location as the original file, or you can choose where you want to save the unzipped files by clicking Browse and choose a new location.

    3.

  • I'm trying to get an e-mail from a zipped file mail folder

    Hello

I copied and pasted the local_folders of the ...\appdata\Roaming\thunderbird\profiles\ < profile_name.default > \Mail folder profile in a different directory for backup purposes. I changed the account setting - directory local to point to the new location.

It works great, so I deleted the original mail\local_folders and erased from the trash.

Or rather it works great once. Subsequently, none of the directories were posted to them. I used tools of deleted file but could not recover the original Mail\local_folders. I get a zipped file with all of the individual records that have been confirmed in Local_Folders and in each of them the e-mails as individual .eml files. I put the folders and files unpacked in Local_Folders in the new directory and Thunderbird.

Thunderbird has created a new local_folders.sbd in the folder mail with all individual records but no e-mail files.

I think I have a problem of indexing, but it do not know what file in the profile to delete. Deleting messages-global - db.sqlite seems to the index of the trash, but not the dossier_local.

I'll try to attach a doc with the screenshots.

    Thank you very much

I think we can close, I found that the inportexporttools add when importing all the email from .eml to one folder at a time. Works very well.

Are there any other similar downloads on the site that work, such as pictures, Word documents, etc., or are they all broken the same way?

I was not familiar with the extension ModPlugin. It works on the site that has the problem? If so, could test you with the disabled extension? You can do this by restarting mode safe mode of Firefox, or manually in the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

In the left column, click Extensions.

If this extension is not relevant for the site that has the problem, or if the problem persists after you disable it, can provide you a link to the site if someone could check it out?

  • in labview using zip file

I create a zip file, but when my VI is done run it tells me that the file is always used by Labview and it won't let me open or delete. do not know how it is still in use, I even tried closing after but it did not work

OK, I found a very likely problem which could be the cause of your zip file to not close.  If you have no file to add, the loop FOR will not iterate.  It is a problem because just output terminals returns the default values for 0 iteration FOR loops.  You just lost your reference of zip file.  There is an easy solution.  Use shift for you registers reference file.  A shift register is a single memory location, the output of the shift register will be everything that you initialize it to.  I also recommend to do the same for the cluster of error so that you do not lose a mistake.
