    Hello

Based on this and that is not a printer ready network. Has a network card?
Another thing, you need to consider: HP does NOT support Windows 7 (for her) so you have to get this first.

    Good luck.

  • Problem with the new installation of Windows XP on the Satellite A100-259

    Hi all!

I have a problem with the fresh install WIN XP on Satellite A100-259 (PSAA2E).
I already deleted the partition, formatted (NTFS) and tried to reinstall from recovery disk that initially provided with the laptop. But whenever I try to install a problem is detected (for the most part it's 'page in the nonpaged area failure').

I also tried to install the OS directly from MS Windows XP Home Edition SP2 CD - the same problem.
I checked the partition using PQ Magic and discovered that there are ' partition table error #110 ".» So, what I did:

    (1) delete partition-> create new partition-> format (NTFS)-> reinstall from recovery disk-> has not yet;
    (2) partition delete-> install WinXP CD original by create and format partition option-> has not yet;
    (3) delete the partition (using the magic of pq)-> create partition (using the magic of pq)-> format NTFS partition for win xp option-> check partition-OK no problems don't-> installation of original win XP CD-installation without changes-> option failed even once
    (4) delete the partition (pq magic)-> create partition (pq magic)-> format NTFS partition for win xp option-> check partition-OK, no problem-> installation of the recovery disc-> has not yet

Whenever a different error is detected, so I can't identify the problem. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Seems that there are some problems with the standards of the partitions.
A friend of mine has tried to install the OS on the recovery CD on the laptop that has been formatted with Partitions Magic 8 and the installation failed.
    It was very strange

Finally, we have formatted the whole HARD drive using the CD original Windows XP Pro.
We did not remove the partition but simply kicked this CD and after the configuration process spent, we formatted the whole HARD disk and install XP without creating all the partitions.

  • I have a problem with the wireless network card.

    Hello

I use a laptop Medion MIM 2210 and I have a problem with my wireless network adapter.

I get a message before Windows 7 starts telling me that there is problem with a wireless driver. The exact message says:

    "Intel UNDI, PXE - Z.0 (build 082)

    Copyright (C) 1997,1998,1999 Intel Corporation

VIA Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter v2.43 (2005/12/15)

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

"PXE - MOF: exit Inel PXE ROM.

This message appears every time you start and I don't know what he means by "Media Test Failure".

I turned on my laptop today and noticed I had no internet connection, it showed that it connected but with yellow '!' symbol indicating that it was not fully connected. He did this for a while now and I have reinstalled Windows, in safe mode and I tried to delete the drivers and re - install, but it hangs right on uninstall what makes me angry no the case.

Of course now, I tried to look for help my internet connection is running but the message is still there. Can someone tell me what to do or how to solve this problem, I am standing now on what to do. I was also on the drivers Medion website but it is impossible to navigate around and drivers without end there'e to choose. I would consider ringing them and asking them if they were not located in Germany as it would cost me a bomb! I did just now searching online via the Device Manager to see if he can find an update for the drivers but nothing came.

Thanks for any help that anyone can offer :)

The message is to be cause the BIOS looking for boot from LAN (not wireless) before it starts and then from the hard drive. The Media test failure is because to boot from LAN it tests to see if the wired Ethernet is connected, it is not if it generates the error message.

Enter the BIOS press F2 after initial power on but before the Logo Windows shows

Integrated devices should allow you to set the settings of wired network adapter. According to the BIOS it is either "enabled with PXE" or have another option to enable or disable the boot ROM

In the boot options the LAN card should be removed altogether.

This message is ONLY applicable to the transfer of the BIOS boot process and should have no impact on the problems of WiFi (it is not on WiFi)

  • Is there a problem with the latest update of Windows for Vista (January 13, 2016).

After installation of 10 updates by restarting, through phase II and restart again my display driver stopped working so there is nothing on the screen. The disc did something for about 20 minutes, but there is no signal on the screen (yellow light instead of green).

I had to do a restore, but Windows guard eager to make the same update, leaving me in the same position with no display.

    What should I do?

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

  • Problem with the virtual store to Windows 7 basic, home

Hello, I have a problem with Windows 7 64-bit home basic e-store. What happened is that I have a program that I use to make small electronic circuits and it was working fine until a few days when I noticed that the design I was doing seemed to be locked - I can open it but I can't open the second tab of the main window, which I should be able to do. After much research I discovered that the problem was caused by the virtual store of Windows - system registers my designs. I need to disable this feature because it prevents me from doing my work. I tried many things including turning off virtual store in REGEDIT and it doesn't change anything. I have another computer with Windows 7 starter and I have no problem there at all. I searched the internet for ideas and found two to this site http://www.askvg.com/how-to-tweak-user-account-control-uac-options-in-windows-vista-home-basic-home-premium/

In all no joy. Help, please. I would appreciate only the answers that have been tried and tested not something that is supposed to work.

    Thank you, Ed

  • Need to connect to the home network wireless - Windows XP Pro - error with network password - needs to be 40bits or 104 bits...

I have a new laptop at home which has windows xp sp 2 is installed.  I am trying to connect to my wireless network.
    I get the following error;
The network password needs to be 40bits or 104bits depending on your network configuration.  This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii or 26 hexadecimal characters.

I gave my father a new laptop computer this fall and he gave me one that had given him his friend... I've never worked with XP Pro...

We have several other phones on this account wireless at home.

You try to login with the wrong encryption method and you have this implemented extremely secure wireless network.

Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)

This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine. The first thing to do is to change the default password because * all * known default passwords for different routers.

Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar. ;-)

Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). Most computers purchased during the last 4 years have the wireless hardware that will support WPA2-Personal (also known as WPA2-PSK). This is the desired encryption level. If your wireless hardware is older, use WPA. Don't use WEP, because who is easily broken within minutes. So go ahead and set the Security Mode WPA2-Personal. Do this and enter a password. For example, you could use the password ' here be dragons, beware you scurvy dogs! The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password that you have created (exactly as you wrote it with all capital letters and punctuation) to join the network and start surfing. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • problem with the printer connected to windows vista,

I have a Canon PIXMA printeriP1900 when I try to connect it to my computer, I get a message that the printer driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer of mine that blocks NT 4.0 I have Windows vista. Can someone help me

Go to the Canon Website and see if there are drivers for Vista.

    http://www.USA.Canon.com/consumer/controller?Act=DownloadIndexAct

I don't see a pattern of IP1900 if you can't access the exact page. You will need to check your model number. If there are drivers for the version of Vista you have (32 or 64-bit), download and install. Do not have the printer connected until the installer tells you to do. If there are no Vista drivers for the printer, you can not run it under Vista.

You must also run the software printer Canon of an administrative user account.

  • Problem with the Satellite A200 and Windows Vista startup

Yesterday, my laptop had some mistakes and tried to stop.
He remained on the screen closed for quite a long time, so I decided to push the power button until it turns off.

When I went to turn it back to the a started going through the normal screens, the Toshiba screen and then the white screen with the Microsoft flag down. At this point, the screen goes completely black and rest that way.

Through starting initial power cord, light is turned on, the power supply is on the HARD drive light and then when the screen turns white HARD drive light turns off and stays off.

I tried to do a system repair using the F8 key at startup and it goes into the Advanced Boot Options menu when I select 'Repair your computer', the light of the HARD drive temporarily, I go through the screens and select System Restore, I selected a date a few weeks and then click Next on the screen indicating the (c :)) system disk is ready to be restored then it returns an error -" (c) drive has errors. Windows has detected corruption in the file (c) system.

You should check the drive for errors before you can restore it "- and at this point, I can only click on the 'check' the drive to find errors, and then click Start, as he chose the option 'Automatically fix file system errors'."

When I click Start nothing seems to happen just on the same screen, the HARD drive light does not come on at all and there is no internal HARD drive noise. The only way I can get out of this screen is to turn the computer off again.

If someone is able to help I would really appreciate it!

  • Still problems with the adapter Bluetooth Toshiba Windows 7

    Hey there, it's me again.

I am referring to my 'Problem Bluetooth on Windows 7' subject:

I thought after the solution of bluecat that my problem has been resolved. But it isn't really.

After you install the Windows fix, it worked just a short time. But now the problem is the same.

When I remove the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and try to work with Manager Bluetooth of Windows, I see that the Bluetooth icon is to come and one to go on the taskbar. In Device Manager, I said Windows, that it is not closed the device to save power. But I think that the device is on and walk and stop...

I really absolutely have no idea what is the problem, but I get terribly angry.

    Details:
    Windows 7
Dell Wireless Bluetooth internal adapter 350 (but it is manufactured by Toshiba)
Experienced pilots: Vista Pack of profile of the Dell homepage (no battery installed, driver only) / Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (the latest version)

    This is the old thread:

    Hi all

Just as I installed Windows 7, my keyboard and Bluetooth mouse do not work very well.

I use the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth internal adapter, Toshiba Bluetooth Stack 8.00.02 and the keyboard and mouse Logitech MX1000.

To connect the devices on my computer, I first have to disconnect the Bluetooth adapter by pressing Fn + F2 on my Dell i9400, after re-login I can search and connect devices correctly. They work fine as long as the laptop is running.

After restarting the laptop, devices no longer work. They are still in the known, but not connected Bluetooth stack. That's why I have to unplug the adapter Bluetooth, another time and reconnect in order to connect the two devices.

I first thought, it's a Windows problem. I thought that Windows is able to ask the adapter to save power. But when I go to Device Manager, there is no box for this option, as known from other devices (Te USB Ports). If this isn't the problem. I think the problem is something else, maybe performed by the Bluetooth stack.

Windows XP it worked perfectly. I used the same hardware and also the battery Bluetooth Toshiba (uploaded on the homepage of Dell).

    Someone at - it ideas?

    Thank you!

    Daevu

    Hey there

Yesterday I did Format C: and installed Windows 7 news.

I do not have a bluetooth driver for my Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth adapt (made by Toshiba).

And now: the mouse and the keyboard work. I even do not see anywhere in my system, but they work.

There is no bluetooth adapter in my device manager and I had do not connect the keyboard and mouse with my computer. She simply do nothing.

    I do not understand this...

    What is a backup connection?

    What I tried:
-> Installation more recent Bluetooth Stack from Toshiba. Problem in the above message. I also installed the MS Hotfix. The same problem.

-> Installed "Vista profile Pack" on the home page of Dell, recommended for my laptop and Windows Vista. There is no battery installed. So I had to connect the mouse and keyboard via the Windows Bluetooth Manager. But the adapter was performed on and off windows, the icon in the task bar came and went and came and went. Connection is good, 1 minute then a few seconds. Not possible to work with the mouse.

And now, without having to install a driver, it works. Am I stupid?

  • Persistent problems with wireless home network

Hi, the problem started two weeks or more ago, when after the connection to the internet easily using our wireless network connection, my computer began to say that our domestic network was unidentified, then studied by troubleshooting my self but do not really understand the information the computer indicated to me. As it was a problem of the internet I contacted our local provider broadband, they looked like the line and the service was absolutely perfect and to confirm this router computer of my father in the same cable network has internet connection easily as it was my mom who was using the connection via the same router wireless cell phone.
Following the instructions of technitians I have tried to manually enter internet addresses to see if that would help the internet connection, it did. So I thought that the problem has been resolved. I had the use of the internet that day and everything was fine until I restarted the next morning. The problem reappeared. So I called my internet provider again, this time I'm sorry to say to a girl rather too quickly diagnosed that I had a virus to uninstall Google chrome and reinstall a different browser... That didn't make sense to me, but I tried some sort.  So I moved my office tower and all the bits in one place in the House were we could conect it to the router with an ethernet cable followed his instructions then moved the computer to its original position but still no internet connection and still this problem 'identification '. I turned off the machine and tried again the next day. Start by running the troubleshooting of network problems, this time I looked at the detailed report which curiously stated that the computer had difficulty oscillating between two somethings (sorry don't remember the detail correctly is days ago)
So I called my internet provider again and I am a helpful young man, read him the information and examined the reports that they had written about the problem in the days preceding. I followed his instructions looked in the network sharing Center, settings changed and added in manual codes for the internet, turn off the router for 10 seconds or more and then restarted, this time with not even a temporary success. We tried a few things but I always got the same contradictory message in the dialog box in the lower right corner, where it showed I was connected to the local network not connected to the internet, when I opened the network sharing Center from the local network to the router would show that 'Identification' and the conection to the internet would be marked with a cross. I managed to pass my network profile is for some reason any defined to the public rather that home and we were able to change it (even if it wasn't easy)
So I was told it was probably a driver issue, I was told I might need check the updates of my license on this operation the technitian and I also saw the site of netgear, that there was a potential conflict between Kaspersky and the netgear driver, so I need to uninstall my Kaspersky anti-virus stuff and the old pilot , down load and install the new drivers and then reinstall kaspersky. I followed it. (Movement of the tower and all the bits in place in the House were the ethernet cable was available).  I found an updated driver, uninstalled downloaded kaspersky and run only the driver installed Kaspersky again. Everything seemed to go well and I even plugged in the wireless adapter connected to the internet through that and disconnected the cable... things were going well.
So I turned off the machine and carried over into my room where I turned on once again. The problem reoccured. I thought it was time to communicate with kaspersky. So I turned the computer off and reduced to the ethernet cable. Connected a Kaspersky contacted by e-mail, they were quick and I was asked to run a program that logeed my information system. I did this and I told them I thought it might be a conflict between the driver and their softwear, they have looked into it, asking me to run a misuse of this program and the results by e-mail. Once again, I've followed the instructions and took notes, but no problem was found. They showed me how to configure my kaspersky firewall to allow access to the networks. It's when I was doing that I noticed that the computer had five ads of our home network, so I put all the profiles of their trust, apply changes and tested to see if it would work. On the wireless internet in the office where the ethernet cable and a router are by train, it's good, it works. I connected the wireless network and disonnect the ethernet then on the internet and there is no break in service. But if I shut down the computer and set up in my room at 12 meters, it won't work with signal strong (4 / 5 bars are green).

This morning I watched the windows firewall settings and changed some of them to see if that makes a difference. but none.

I'm trying hard to think about this problem but I'm getting nowhere fast, I know just enough. I just tried pluging in the wireless network adapter again, but there is no wireless network connection now and no internet connection:

After having tried downlaoding a new driver and this has not fixed the problem after having only tested the wireless signal is strong enough for good internet connection to my mother's computer in my room, I'm stuck. I looked on the netgear site and follow their advice, but it's really a night Mare!
I also noticed that somehow, we put in place five versions of our home network, I wonder if there is some confusion computer... I looked into the idea of the removal of the networks, and it seems that you can not do. I am trying to back up my files, uninstall everything and re - build my computer from scratch. If there is something else I should try before taking this message please drastic measures me ASAP.
