    I use Photoshop Elements 7.0

Here is a discussion about my problem and three jpg files to show the problem.

I use quite often the function of "process multiple files. Today, he has developed an error that I can't solve. This problem is the following.

I chose a directory source for example < rawphotos >

    I chose a destination for example directory < rawphotos/JPEG >

I then choose "convert files: JPEG Max quality", then click on 'OK '. This is the process I always used.  . . . Refer to capture1.jpg

PSE 7.0 seems to start to process the first file, but when it does, it leads to a screen "save under" want me back up files is the PSD format.  . . . Refer to capture2.jpg

This never happened to befrore and I can't get rid of it. If I try to cancel in the box, it simply led to an "error" box telling me that the order has been cancelled... Refer to Capture3.jpg

I tried to look for previous topics on for one, but not avail.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Check the raw converter. If you have to be converted to 16-bit, you will not be able to convert to jpg. Set it to 8 bits and see what happens.

  • Processing multiple files makes more pixelated?

I have pictures for my online store which can be really big zoom without distortion.  So I leave the dpi to 300, and run several tests on my mac all with the exact same start/size of the picture everything.

    1. I'm resizing in PSE 14 without using several files processing.

    2. I'm resizing in PSE 14 using several files processing.

    3. I resize preview and don't use all PSE.

In these contexts - each time, the size of the file is greater with PSE with preview (547KO vs 114ko) - which is a big problem when I have lots of images per page.  The quality of these tests are all to minimal difference range - it is negligible.  However, the quirks start when I add a watermark to the image by using the function 'treat multiple files' - this is where it goes south on me!  Using the preview resized OR resized ESP - anyone, as soon as they get a watermark (and we are talking about only a line of tiny text at the bottom right), the quality gets worse.

After tattooing, the size of the file on the PES to PES "multiple files" resize watermark (test 1) version will 547KO to 79 KB - and the photo quality is a noticeable difference as well.  Using the preview resized, then PSE "multiple files" (test 2) for watermark, it passes from 114 kb to 83 KB.  Not much difference in size - but I would not have expected a big difference in both cases honestly since I'm not actually resizing - but only watermarking.  But the quality of 'Trial 2' is still significantly different from the version "nothing other than the Preview" without watermark (hands down better on the version without watermark).

I'm completely stumped on how to make good quality, very "zoomable", a watermark images that remain small in size, while maintaining quality.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • PES 10 - problem prevents the watermark color setting when processing multiple files using

I use the batch processing under file > processing of multiple files.  I put the watermark with my text you want, post, police, font size, opacity and color white.  However, every time I come back to deal with another batch of color goes back to the default blue color instead of white that I initially put.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Are there patches?

I use Photoshop Elements 10 on a Mac under Lion.

    Thank you.

At least on windows the color always seems to default to the color set as the foreground color in the Toolbox.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 - problem when processing multiple files - change the size of the image

When you change the size of several images with file - process several files (or batch processing, however it is called on the menu in English)

There seems to be a bug in Version 11.

Regardless of my entries, that the file size is reduced to under 10% of the original value, such as 4 MB to 350 KB.

Even if I don't score no parameter for a change of size and also, do not change the format, the file size is decreased.

The entries in the properties / details of the converted jpg correspond to the settings in the menu, but the actual size is very small.

Seems that PES 11 has low values in the default settings in the background and does not take into account all entries.

In the old version 9, the same function worked without problem.

I installed the updated version available today, 2013-01-05.

  • Process multiple files in a single loop

I'm trying to collect data from several text files that I have in a folder.  Is there a CVI function which could loop through files that contain the data that I need until he crossed all the?  If not, all of the files have a similar name (pucklocation.1, pucklocation.2, etc...).  Is there a way I could handle my cPath variable that I have when I call the functions below for what he didn't, and then increments the following, etc...

    iIsGood = FileSelectPopup ("", "*.txt", ".txt", "Load", VAL_LOAD_BUTTON, 0, 1, 1, 0, cPath);
    If (iIsGood == 1)
    {
    iFileHandle = OpenFile (cPath, VAL_READ_ONLY, VAL_OPEN_AS_IS, VAL_ASCII);

An alternative might be to use MultiFileSelectPopup instead of FileSelectPopup.

  • Why the file size does not change when I use "Process multiple Images" to add a watermark?

    Hello

I use 11 elements. To add a watermark to a lot of JPG photos at the same time, I use the function 'process multiple files.

I select a source folder and a destination folder and adds a number to three numbers for each file. I do NOT check the box marked 'change photo size. After that, I set the watermark I want printed on my photos and hit OK. All files in the source folder are processed and saved with a new name in the destination folder. Loyally.

But. The file size of the new file is strongly reduced, compared to the original. He's going from 10 MB to 500 KB (in general). Why is this? Is there a way I can help?

    Kind regards

    / Mikael Lindgren

File size reduction is the effect of jpeg compression. In the process several files dialog, check the bottom option "convert files to the format" and choose "jpeg max quality.

  • Problem processing several files in Photoshop Elements

I have always used the process multiple files option in the menu file without problem. I just finished editing some photos that I've done before and wanted to turn it into a smaller JPEG file and add my watermark. I put all the settings under multiple program files and click OK. The first image came and appeared in the process, but then a dialog box "save under" came. The box has been asked to save the file as a photoshop file and not a JPEG file. I can't find out why it does this. I restarted the program and my computer and I tried to run the same process on the other files with the same result.

    Which version of elements?

Was it a raw format file?

If so, your mode menu bit in the middle of the lower bar of the ACR dialog box is set to 16 bit? Try the 8-bit configuration and save a raw 8-bit file before trying the process several files again to see if that makes a difference.

  • An order has been cancelled or stopped during the processing of multiple files

I use Photoshop elements 13. I'll save the files from my camera on my desk. Upload photos, edit them, and then while trying to save the changes, I get an error message: "an order has been cancelled or stopped during the processing of multiple files. Continue with the next file or stop? "How I lost my job. a large part

I was not able to find much about this error online then consulted for relief in this case.

    Thank you in advance!

    Partial solution.

The problem occurs when the application is in the State 'restore down' (the middle between ____ and the X button). If I have the maximized application files do not delete.

    Just an info.

  • Process multiple JPEG files in gray

Process several files in Photoshop Elements for Mac OS 10.9.2 10 worked on several JPEG files and then stopped working. Any folder containing JPEG files is JPEGs in gray. I get the error message "the source folder you selected is empty." However, I can work on the jpeg files in this folder if I do one at a time. I tried to exit the program, and then going back in and again, I get the same error message.

Sometimes this means that folder names contain illegal characters

Could you give an example of one of the folder names?

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a - cannot save pdf in multiple files via touch screen

    Hello world

My problem is that I can't save my scans in multiple files (.pdf) If you use the "scan to file function" via the touch screen on my Officejet Pro 8500 A910a a shortcut. It works when scaning manually from the computer, but I need to work from the printer/scanner.

The only way that the scan shortcut saves each page separately (works the way I need) is when you save as a .jpg file, but this isn't the exit, I need. I search for an .xml file change the shortcuts manually, but have not found one. Since my other printer 8500 A909a can analyze each page in a single .pdf file, it must be a question of settings that the A910a does not offer this parameter directly.

I appreciate any assistance with this problem.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Driver: OJ8500_A910_1315

    Firmware: OJP8500_A910a_1231A

    Hi RnRMusicMan,

the solution you are suggesting is what I have now and the reason why I even started this thread. Analysis each page separately from the touch screen is a pain in the a * and analysis of PC via a scan profile is not the way to go for me either. Thank you in any case, it seems like it is actually a problem in the software and I have to be careful next time, choose a new printer.

    Hi Koumack,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you are trying to save your scans in multiple files (.pdf) using the analysis of the function of file.

That's what I could find in my resources:

How to perform a scan: from the control panel

Breast of HP Scan, select scan on a daily basis, and then click Advanced settings, select the file tab and check create a separate file for each scanned page. Click OK. It should work from the software.

Otherwise, even if it may be a longer process, as a work around the printer, you can scan a page using the scanner glass.

Hope this helps and have a nice day.

  • How can I print multiple files 'no MS Office suite' at the same time?

I try to print multiple files .print simultaneously.  They really are .txt files, but the extension must be .print of certain processes downstream to our factory.  I tried highlighting them all and then right click, but there is no available printing options.  Is there a way to batch print multiple files at the same time?  It would be nice if the print dialog box would open and can be changed for printing at the beginning of this process and keep the same settings for each selected file.  Is it possible to write a macro or vbs code?

    Hi bdaely,

What application you use to print multiple files sometimes?

What is the number and model of the printer?

We will be able to print multiple Word document files.

You may need to communicate with the application through which you print. If they have suggestions on changing the configuration of the file to print multiple files.

  • Treat multiple files does not?

I'm if worried, I have a customer photo to deal with and when I use the "treat multiple files" and I click on the folder that I need all images are grayed out.  I'm short on quick time, anyone have any ideas?

Your using photoshop elements 13 on a mac?

What you describe is the expected behavior when you select a folder of images to process, because you just want to select the folder with the images, not to select the images inside.

In other words, for the Source folder, you just select the folder, not the images inside.

The pictures inside will always be gray.

Just to give it a try to see if it works.

Michel - what wonderful assistance you gave me.  Now I need to play with the different save options and bulk 'watermark' to see the quality.

Since I'm a mac user, unfortunately the link you gave does nothing for me because they provide only a windows product.  Also, I can't find any reference to the elements + anywhere.  Maybe the premier elements (?) which I did not...  I would like to be able to record actions and who could help with the logo, but honestly I have no idea about how to put the logo on the images (or if it would affect the image quality for the zoom).  If you know how to explain these things to this relative Rookie of photoshop, I'd be most grateful.  In the meantime, I'll play with a few economies, sizing and options "my watermark".

Thanks again for starting me on the best way.

Your question would be interesting for many other users of the forum.

Adding a watermark logo .png file is easy and guarantees the best quality.

Premiere Elements is the video editor.

To check the maximum quality that you can get in your current workflow while maintaining a small output file, just the first step of resizing PNG, tiff, or psd. You might not get the best results. For the second round of tattoo to "treat multiple files", check the final rating different compression options. Using "high quality jpeg" should not create a visible difference. The limit for users to "zoom out" is 1000 pixels size.

I have a question: you say that with preview, you can resize, rename and crop your images? Can you clarify this "cropping" method?

  • How do you add a watermark of multiple images on multiple files?

I have a real problem trying to add a water mark of several images (mix of JPEG and TIFF images) on several files.

I used the tool to batch processing, but it did not work or was annoying, asking me to save it back to each individual file.

If anyone can help or offer another way to do it, would be great!

    Thank you

    Becca

You use a script from Russell Brown to place watermarks?  As you said, "within multiple files."  Did you mean several files?  Batch processing is a check box to apply the process to several folders.  Itsn can't work not exactly?
