  Can I know what exactly you want! BBM uses our device PIN that you can not change, if you want to use cool then remove these Contacts you want, but those who already know your PIN may send you ask and you have to block them if you don't want them on your list of contacts.

  I immediately noticed on my BB Curve when it is plugged into the charger or hooked up to my computer, which changes the sound profile. It's frustrating because I don't know what is happening because this isn't my normal sound profile.

  Is this a bug? If anyone else has noticed this?

  Is there a setting somewhere that I missed that causes this happens on my phone? It's my third BB and the first time it happened to me.

  I have a Pearl (8110). My question is when I go into the profiles of change from normal to vibrate, I then go ahead and deselect all custom profiles and exceptions that I created, I have to do an or y at - it an easy way to do this?  for example, when I select vibrate all is vibration. When I select vibrate now if I set up a profile for a contact, I still heard this contact instead of it vibrates.

  There isn't a way to change this. The Exceptions that you set apply to all profiles except for the OFF profile. You will need to uncheck each exception individually.

  Is is possible to have 2 different and annex notification profiles when each of them is active? For example, one profile for during the day and one for night. I am a new user of BB and I have the Curve 8320.

  You can have multiple profiles, but there is no possibility to plan to pass.

  It would be a manual process.

  My sound profile management is stuck in normal & I can't change to vibrate, aloud, silently, or other options on this page. I turned off my phone completely out of battery and released, & still nothing. I spend a lot of time in places where you are not supposed to have sound on, I need at least vibrate.

  I just want to clarify that your phone is powered when you remove your battery.  Your description sounds like you are turning off your phone before removing the battery, which will do nothing to improve your situation.

  If you have hidden it, check the option "show all".

  One of my bosses had just me with their 8310 and they have a pecuilar problem.  They were complaning have not heard his phone ring, so I tried to go to their icon of 'Profiles' to set the parameters, but he missed.  I then unhid all and he has not yet posted.  I restarted the phone and checked the settings to hide/show again and still nothing.

  Does anyone have an idea where the profile went or how I can get it back?

  Thanks for the Info. not familiar with the forums. Have since found the solution. It is a problem of blackberry, I had to set up a new profile of .pst and import all data.

  I'm trying to use Facebook on my mobile phone and be able to 'check in', as they call it.  Basically means that when I post will give my nearest location for example.  My phone tells me it can't because... "location service is disabled.   Now the problem is that I'm not able to disable password insecurity,
  (Homescreen > options > Security > password), there is a small latch (yellow lock symbol). Another problem is that I am also able to disable encryption, there is a tick mark on who.   Hello and welcome to the community!

  From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

  If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

  Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

  • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

  Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

  Recently, I noticed that my bbm "n" shortcut did not, all the other shortcuts like memo, calculator, etc. have been working well. I cross checked the "n" key on the message, e-mail etc., which works very well. It was obvious that the key is fine, probably thinking of the device is in need of an upgrade of the OS, I upgraded to 6.0.0.706 to the download site for the India BB software. Since then he has screwed my application of messaging and bbm on the device configuration. The problem started after I configured my device after the upgrade of the OS, without doing something fancy. Now, I am unable to work my e-mail installation or bbm.

  When I work through installation and choose the email Setup icon, ideally it should give me two options. 1. business account and 2.  Internet e-mail account.

So now, I can't add my e-mail address, ' coz there is no option or how to configure it.

  For bbm:

  I have a return to the top of my contacts, which I've tried to run over and over again, but it brings back me to the original configuration and asks me to enter the display name. Now restore backup should restore my profile/contacts, but it doesn't. On a positive note, my shortcut for bbm works!

  I would also like to bring to your notice that I have a bis plan on my device, active, but after upgrading my app world or native applications do not work on bis but wifi. Strange! Now the question is why would the upgrade of a simple bone cause me so many problems. I upgraded my phone several times since I bought it. This is driving me crazy and crazy, this phone has an excellent reputation and does not mean I am a bit disappointed by his performance or his now making me hurt.

  After receiving the Registration message restart your device, then check again.

  In fact, I suspect that you use the same BB ID and not the same PIN. When the same BB ID is used on multiple devices, results exactly as you describe can happen.

  If you know the other person, you can chat with them and decide which of you will go through the painful process needed to remedy this situation:

  Who's going to do will have to do a complete device WIPE. To prepare, backups are necessary... See the link in my signature on this post to know... you'll need it all. You may also need a list of all your BBM contacts... If you're on BBM7, there is no way to condone those to restore after you are done as they are attached to your BBID, not your BB. If you are on pre-BBM7, then you can save and restore them. Otherwise, it will be a process of re-entry manual.
