Profile of xml AnyConnect

I have installed on my win7 PC anyconnect, but I'm not able to locate the profile xml file. Any idea where I should look for that?

I have already checked in the Anyconnect installation folder and could not find it.

Hello

The records in question are probably hidden by default in Windows. Change Windows settings to show hidden folders also

  • AnyConnect on logon remove other profiles of xml.

    Hello

I have a problem with Anyconnect (3.1.14), when I connect with the most recent profile, it deletes the oldest xml profiles.

The xmls are for different devices. Bug?

    Thank you

    PS

The problem occurs only with the AlwaysOn enabled on the profile.

If you enable always - On, it will always remove all other xml desktop profiles.  I've seen this happen and it is also written in one of the documents somewhere.

  • Problem of proxy with AnyConnect SBL

    Hello

Recently, I added the following line to our profile of .xml AnyConnect:

    IgnoreProxy

We use a server proxy internally in our network, so when client computers have been set up for this, they could not connect to our ASA with AnyConnect when they were out of the site. The above setting in their corrected profile that, even if the proxy is enabled in their IE, they could connect with AnyConnect roaming. So far so good.

Yesterday, I added the following to our configuration:

    TEST group policy attributes

    use a MSIE-proxy-server method

    Internet Explorer-proxy server value ip.ip.ip.ip:port

    activate Internet Explorer-proxy local-bypass

This configuration was to ensure that the proxy of the user is enabled when connected to the VPN. According to doc Cisco proxy on the client settings automatically return to its original settings when disconnecting. This also works as expected.

But then, here is the funny thing (which is not funny at all really):

When to start the client computer and start-up of the AnyConnect client before logon Windows (SBL), I get the prompt attached when trying to connect! This only happens with SBL – not when the user connects and then starts the VPN client. I tried with different proxy user auth I know work, but I can't get through and therefor unable to connect before Windows logon. According to the doc of Cisco, the proxy settings should apply logon AFTER VPN - but it seems he's trying to use them BEFORE trying to connect when you use NFP.

No one knows why this happens? And anyone can come up with a solution (except disable proxy settings just made)?

Thanks in advance - much appreciated!

    Rasmus,

Bad news... I checked the "fixed in" field in bugs.

    002.005 (1002) and 002.005 (2000)

which means - it will be corrected in the new version.

    Symptom:
The "IgnoreProxy" setting in the AnyConnect XML profile is not functioning when Start Before Login (SBL) is also enabled.

    Conditions:
Problem first observed on AnyConnect 2.4.1012 when "IgnoreProxy" is set in the xml profile. Using Start Before Login feature (SBL). Using GPOs to set the proxy before login. Most noticable when the Proxy that is set is internal/private because the AnyConnect will not be able to reach the headend device to make the anyconnect connection due to the proxy being set. Confirmed the profile is active. The "IgnoreProxy" setting in the profile is working for a non-SBL connection.

    Workaround:
    1. This does work without SBL. For instance If you cancel SBL, logon to windows in the usual way and then start the Anyconnect client. If you then disconnect and reconnect the AnyConnect it does indeed ignore the configured proxy.
    2. Disable GPO settings that push the proxy before login.
Note: If you are using GPO to launch scripts, be aware AnyConnect also now has a OnConnect scripting feature to launch scripts as well

  • AnyConnect client can not access local network

    Hello

I have a problem with the Cisco anyconnect. Once clients are connected they cannot access anything whatsoever, including their default gateway.

Pool of the VPN client is on the same subnet as the LAN (139.16.1.x/24). Local network clients can access DMZ, VPN clients can ping computers on the local network, but they cannot access the DMZ.

I guess that any rule providing that traffic is absent but I m new with Cisco ASA and I m totally lost. I read as much as I could on this topic, but I do not understand which rule is necessary.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

    Hello

You don't have NAT exemption the DMZ network to the pool of VPN traffic.

Please try to add the following statement to run:

    nat (DMZ,outside) 1 source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 route-lookup
Also please delete the existing instruction manual nat "non-proxy-arp" statement, because it can cause problems like you the ip subnet address pool is identical to that of the Interior of the network.
no nat (inside, outside) source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 no-proxy-arp route-lookup

    nat (inside,outside) 1 source static any any destination static NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 NETWORK_OBJ_139.16.1.0_25 route-lookup

    Hi cwhlaw2009,

You must configure a policy Split-tunnel, if you want to be able to access the internal and local network at the same time.

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/ASA-5500-x-series-next-generation-firewalls/100936-asa8x-split-tunnel-AnyConnect-config.html

    It may be useful

  • AnyConnect version 2.4 second host entry gets host entry invalid, please re-enter

    Hello

I have an ASA 5520, 8.21, anyconnect 2.4 running.  I have the profile on the SAA download with the customer.  I have a second ASA as a VPN server and backup, they are configured as identical as possible.

If I connect to the ASA first using the hostname "vpn1.companyx.com", everything works fine.     When I go to connect to the ASA second using the hostname "vpn2.companyx.com" on the anyconnect client, I receive the error "invalid host entry.  the xml profile test as fine, the host entries are both be resolved in dns and the system vpn2 repsonds fine using the IP address.  It seems to be a problem anyconnect...

    thoughts?

-You use a url Group on an ASA and not the other?

-You have 'StandardUser' in your profile of xml. If you create a new profile with a new name that does not have this setting work?

-If you want to make it work with "StandardUser" in your xml profile, here is an example:

    vpn.cisco.com
       vpn.cisco.com
       CSCVPNUsers

The ASA will initiate a connection to:

    https://vpn.cisco.com/CSCVPNUsers

In order for the ASA to send back the proper information, that group URL would have to exist under your tunnel-group/connection profile
    In the configuration:

    tunnel-group CSCVPNUsers webvpn-attributes
    group-url https://vpn.cisco.com/CSCVPNUsers enable

Communication is established just when I begin a session (icmp or rdp) branch to the AnyConnect Client,.
in this way, the communication is OK, but just for a few minutes.

    Hello

communication works when you send the traffic of easyvpn derivation because it froms the IPSEC SA to pool local subnet and anyconnect HQ. The SA formed only when the branch initiates the connection as it's dynamic peer connection to HQ ASA.

When there no SA between branch and HQ for this traffic, HQ ASA has no idea on where to send the anyconnect to network traffic.

I hope this explains the cause.

    Kind regards

    Averroès.

  • AnyConnect and Aladdin eToken authentication

    Hi all!

    First part

I managed the Anyconnect VPN installation in our c2821 using MS Active Directory & Cisco Secure ACS v.4.2 authentication Radius Server for windows clients.

I have successfully install authentication in Windows using Aladdin eToken and logon Samrtcard (connector Microsoft's CA) certificate.

I have successfully the Microsoft certification authority certificate store of eToken.

I would like someone to answer the following questions: How can I use this certificate to authenticate the session on AnyConnect VPN?

    Second part

I tried to customize local AnyConnect profile using Cisco AnyConnect Profile Editor. The only result: changed default username and default host. All other customizations have been ignored.

    Here is my profile:

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

You can control the parameters of AnyConnect session only if the activated/enabled 'controllable user' administrator for each XML attribute. For those that are controllable from the user, the user must be able to click on the 'Settings' button very close the list box drop-down server.

However, if you manually change the XML file on the local computer of the client, the next time AnyConnect connect, it will download the original version of the ASA and compares with local XML file. If the checksum does not match, it overrides the local XML file with the newly downloaded XML file.

You can change the preferences.xml file, and that you have discovered, AnyConnect will honor your changes. But the profile has most of the security settings as a Local Lan access, start before logon, Auto reconnection.

    Thank you

    Kiran

  • Two remote AnyConnect clients cannot get two voice via softphones?

We have a situation where two remote users of SSL VPNS cannot establish a voice call via softphones or cookie lync. They can both talk but I can't hear the other. Each user can call external or the office LAN without problems.

I'm under ASA version 9.1 (5) and v.3.1.05170 AnyConnect. Pretty basic config (purified) - any help would be appreciated!

I confess that I have not read your config in detail, but a few tips:

-If you do split tunnel, don't forget to push a route for the entire pool VPN subnet or subnets of VPN clients

-Make sure you have the same-security-traffic permitted intra-interface

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/security/ASA/asa81/command/ref/refg...

-If you use NAT, you must exclude such NAT inter-VPN-device traffic

-If you have ACLs (not shown) do not forget to leave your pool VPN subnet is talking to himself.  Generally, it would be in the ACL entering the external interface.

at the end of the packet - trace is your friend.

  • 2.5.2019 - SSL certificate incompatibility AnyConnect

    Hi all

When I try to connect using autonomous Anyconnect (and not via the web), I got the SSL error message "the displayed certificate does not match the name of the site you are trying to view" (attached).

The certificate I have installed for SSL connection on the external interface got CN = testvpn.mydomain of subject and subject Alternative Name (SAN)--> DNS name = testvpn.mydomain

It seems to me that the place to connect to testvpn.mydomain, anyconnect try to connect to the IP address. I tried to remove the IP address in the list of servers in the profile, but it still does not work.

If I use Clientless (via browser), I only received this error which means the certificates installed correctly.

Is this a bug on anyconnect 2.5.2019 or are there other ways to force anyconnect to check the name instead of the IP against the certificate?

    Thank you

    Hello Lam,

It's great that it works very well now, so let me explain what was going on, you saw the right cert warning via Anyconnect due to the profile of xml you had deployed which included the period of INQUIRY, the machine you were experimenting with downloaded this xml file and whenever you tried to connect the warning was poping up even after the removal of the IP from the list of servers on the SAA, what happens is that you probably just the changed file and continued using the same name for the profile. If you change the profile and re - use the same name, you will need to rerun the command "" disk0 profiles LAM-XML-PROFILE of svc: / LAM - PROFILE .xml ' otherwise, the old profile even in memory and will be reused. " Once you have updated the profile and you reconnect the Anyconnect client, the new profile will be uploaded but here is the catch - you must get out of the client Anyconnect to see differently the new information, it appears that the profile has not been updated.

    Hope that clarifies the issue.

    Kind regards

  • Adding mobile broadband custom profiles in Windows 7

I need to create a connection profile custom mobile broadband on a number of Windows 7 computers. I learned that this could be done by running the following command:
netsh mbn add profile interface = MobileBroadband connection"name ="ProfileName.xml"
where nomProfil.xml is an XML file that is created according to the instructions available on http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487383.aspx.

The problem is that I always get an error saying "Cannot load profile" when I run the command.

My XML file looks like this:

         TestProfile

         true
         UserProvisioned
         123456789012345
         false
         manual

             DISABLE
             NONE

I have also tried copying a working profile's xml file (from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WwanSvc\Profiles), but this also gives me "The Profile cannot be loaded".

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

    I found a solution:

Command does not work for some reason any addition of profile manually by using the 'netsh mbn Add... '. ». But add the profile using the install.cmd works. I don't know why the manual method does not work, but this method is good enough for me for now.

Make it work I have created the following files (by copy/paste in the document at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/gg487383.aspx in Notepad):

    • Branding.cmd
    • install.cmd
    • Profiletemplate.Xml
    • tag.txt

After that, I copied my logo.ico icon file in the same folder.

Then I edited the Profiletemplate.xml in order to take into account my APN, autoconnect, and other settings.

Finally, I've run install.cmd and he managed to create a new profile for me.

So I AnyConnect working on one SAA however, ASA another located in another country, I get the following error:

"Unable to get the secure gateway configuration.

I get a prompt for the username and password seems to be authentication very well however in step 'check' the profile updates this error.

I was comparing my two setups and they look identical.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello, Kevin.

I know, if there is no customer profile configured on ASA, the software Anyconnect client will use the client profile by default, which is placed on the local computer (C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile) when installing Anyconnect software.

  • CIsco Anyconnect VPN with LDAP AAA

Hi there, I was hoping that someone can point me in the right direction here. I created a VPN connection profile to match anyconnect SSL entering customers. I would like to use LDAP group membership as a sine qua non for authentication. I found a few online pages on what to do about it, I followed. Unfortunately, it seems my connection profile to allow access to any user in the ldap, not only those of the ldap group database. I'll post the relevant bits of the config here in hopes that someone can point my mistake!

The idea of the config is to have the map of connections 2 by default a noaccess policy which has 0 simultaneous connections and the profile card (SSL_VPN) connection ssl to anyconnect to group_policy_SSL_VPN group policy.

  • Cannot connect AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client IPSec 3.0

    Hello

Our company has a configuration of IPSec VPN on a Cisco ASA 5505.  We previously using the Cisco VPN Client - Version 5.0.07.0410.  Everything worked well with this customer to date.  The problem is it is not supported in our Virtual Machine, and environment with our new version of our networks paravirtualized drivers we get the problems of inadequacy HMAC and not connect to.

I created a file .pcf with the following information for the 5.0.07.0410 customer:

    Input connection: VC VPN

    Description: no

Host: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (IP address of the Interface of the ASA VPN)

    Authentication group:

    • Name: The name of the Group
    • Password: password for pre-shared Key

    Transport:

    • Activate Transport tunnel
    • IPSec over UDP (NAT/PAT)

I import the .pcf file in the client, the client connects, you are prompted for AD username - everything has worked well.

We have currently met that he had to use the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (3.0.0629) - I tried to use the profile for that AnyConnect client editor and I can't not all profile options.  I leave all the defaults preferences (Part1), preferences (Part2), backup servers, matching certificate, Certificate Enrollment and the mobility policy.

I in the list of servers, click Add.  I enter in the hostname, host (the host name IP address) address and group.  There are no backup servers, I change the main IPSec protocol, save the profile and place it in C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile (Win7).  Open the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client and the profile is loaded. Trying to link returns "VPN Agent is unable to establish a connection."  ASA, I don't even see a connection attempts to the outgoing IP address.  On the client, I can ping the ASA and connect with ordinary VPN Client.

I can't find a place to enter a pre-shared in the profile editor.

The AnyConnect client seems also not to read the .pcf files.  Am I missing something here?

My package DART from the failing client is attached.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Kind regards

    Rich Alto

    Rich,

AC uses IKEv2 (for IPsec) which is not yet supported on SAA. Support is planned for 8.4 ASA which is still at least a few weeks.

  • profile wireless script problem

We have exported a profile.xml wireless and add a script it's just that he worked for a few days and could not keep asking for a password when they connect, the profile is added but without password

Well, to help remedy this situation, I exported the profile wireless to an .xml file and created a script with the following text:

netsh wlan add profile filename = "Wireless Network Connection profile. XML ".

However, for some reason, on most laptops, it creates the profile but when trying to connect to it.

but he always asks password security key (although it is in the .xml file). This actually makes the script useless, because we really do not want to give all users.

Anyone know what is happening here?
