• Question about importing video footage in Premiere Pro

  I'm new to Premiere Pro and have a question about it. I need to move all my videos on my new computer (Windows) from my old computer (iMac running iMovie). Where should I store my images so I can access inside Premiere Pro? I just need to store everything on a hard drive, and then create inside Premiere Pro projects when I need to import images in, or should I create a 'library' to store all my movies in? Setup bridge would be another beneficial way to view my videos (I use Lightroom for my photo library)? I'm just trying to discern the way I need to store and organize everything in order to get started with Premiere Pro. Thank you!

  Premiere Pro has no capability of database for the media in general, only in a specific project. 'Import' is not like in Lightroom, it does in PrPro is tell her where to look for the media while working on this specific project.

  So... you need create your materials on a particular disc, presented in a way that you can find them in a folder structure you design.

  A typical use of PrPro spreads parts on several disks. OS/programs on the system drive, a disk each cache PrPro & cache of database files; preview files; and project files. Media probably on another drive and exports on a final drive.

  Access the disk cache & cache database files, preview files and project files are the two ways of reading & writing, in addition to being constant. Multimedia files are used unalterable and exports only Scripture, their connections can be a little less robust.

  I have a few questions about this, and I would really appreciate your input gtting. (I also posted this question on this page, but I don't know if it was the right place...)

  1. that means 'otherwise, Lightroom treats the JPEG in doubles as a file? The JPEG format is not available at all in these circumstances? What can I do with this file "jpeg"? Is located in the same folder as the RAW images?

  2. my understanding is that the JPEG image contains the treatment unit (e.g., Vivid, sharpning, etc.); When I import pictures from my Nikon (NEF) raw, LR does not apply to these parameters, and the image I see in LR is * really * gross (i.e., bland and "free upgrades").  If I shoot and bring in JPEG and RAW, LR is it possible to have LR somehow automatically "make RAW image look like the JPEG?

  (1) No, it simply as an initial overview.  LR replaces this overview as soon as it renderes its own.

  (2) the profiles are already built for Nikon and Canon.  Look in the calibration Panel in the develop module.

  When you import, you can select specific import folders, it is on the left side of the dialog box to import to the title of the Source. If you don't want all the 30 000 images, you can first start by selecting file-> new catalog, and then import specific folders.

  It is one of the strengths of Lightroom, there are approximately 12 zillion and 35 different ways to search. For example, you can enable the filter bar (view-> display filter bar), and then select the photos by file name or by keyword and many other criteria.

• Question about importing the roles of users through LCM HSS 11.1.2.1 MSAD

  We use Hyperion Planning version 11.1.2.1. I tried to export user and group provisioning to prod environment and migrate there in the dev environment.

  The following steps have been

  1 open Hyperion Shared Services Console

  2 expanded Application groups

  3. scope of the Foundation

  4. click on Shared Services. I got a list of artifact on a new tab on the right side of the screen

  5 expanded native Directory. Some groups (Checked), roles and users

  6 click on define Migration and then did then, then, then on the following screens until I got a popup asking to "run the Migration.

  7 enforce Migration, I received a folder created under admin@NativeDirectory with 2 subfolders (info and resources)

  I saw 3 csv files is created - Groups.csv, Roles.csv and Users.csv.

  Groups.csv contains all the groups and users in each group.

  Users.csv contains all the users belonging to the Native directory

  Roles.csv was surprisingly an empty file (don't know why)

  My question is

  1. how to export that 'Aboriginal group' has been implemented to what roles?

  2. how to export what Directory user external user (i.e. MSAD) has been put into service for what role?

  I need to import roles provided to the 'MSAD users' and 'Indigenous' of Prod to Dev env env. Since I'm not able to export to MSAD user roles and groups... I don't know how to do in this regard. Please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

• Question about importing videos in the media library.

  Hi, I managed to record some videos (coming from a VCR) with media Center. I would like to handle videos with software and then burn it to a DVD.

  My problem is that I need to be able to view the video with Windows Media Player - is it possible to import the recording of "my videos"?

  I have really good experiences migration 10g and 11g via the data link. As you say long and long raw do not work, but everything else seems fine (LOB, etc.). Make sure you are as high as you can go as there are a lot of bugs datapump generally - not just with db links patched up.

  It is much more efficient than having to go out to a file.

  Parallelism will be 5 separate tables at the same time - it does first the 5 most great. Index will then be built with 5 parallel after the tables.

  Just make sure that pool of streams and PGA are way big enough both sides.

  Hey, Adobe.  My LR5.2, 64-bit, has continued to create a new file when I import images.  I can see the images and edit them in the develop module but don't know how to access after that.  I am running Win 7 Home Premium. Thank you.

  If I understand you correctly, you claim that Lightroom does not create a new FOLDER correctly during the import. Is this correct?

  Thus, the photos are actually imported? If you go to the catalog on the left panel and select all the pictures, you will find the newly imported pictures? You may need to scroll to the top or the bottom of the photos to find them.

  If they are, then you can find the folder in which they are stored by right-clicking on the picture, select go to folder in the library. This will cause the folder containing these photos to be highlighted in the folder Panel.

  I have a question about my laptop. I have notticed it is a second location of HARD disk on the bottom.
  Is it possible to use this to increase my storage?
  And if yes, how do I do that? I don't see all the connectors.
  What type of HARD drive to use in case it is possible to use this slot machine?

  My second question is on my laptop to be very hot after a short period of use.
  I installed speedfan to record the temperature. When I start the laptop, it already is between 45 and 50 degrees.

  If Yes, then you can use a SATA 2.5 HARD.
  If there are no connectors, then you will not be able to use the second HARD drive

  CPU and GPU produce a lot of heat. The heat dissipation is always created then there s nothing unusual that the temperature rose to higher level.
  You can change the settings in Win 7 power management. You can set the CPU to lower performance and can increase the activity of fan, which will help lower the temperature.

  I have a mini PCI Wlan card for my unit, works very well, but I wonder if it is possible to get the Wlan switch switch work whith it? Or is it only possible whith some special maps? It is not so important, but it would be nice to know if there is a trick or something to get the switch used.

  I never noticed anything like that on my laptop

  Usually, if I use the Shut down option, I can choose between standby, hibernation, restart and shutdown. If I use the stop that the laptop turns off as it should.
  Maybe it's time to s for a reinstallation of the OS?

  On the second question.
  The switch on the left side for laptop was designed and developed to pass on the WLan card antenna.
  Usually, you should be able to use this switch and to toggle WLan card functionality

  We have a production cluster CUCM 8.6 running.

  I was asked to create models of translation of 300-400.

  I see that I can not do this directly through bat. But I can't see the import/export option.

  We have 1000's of existing patterns of translation on our system.

  I have a small question about the import feature.

  A new import overwrites existing data in the database that contains the data in the import file or because the new data in the import file added to the existing data.

  If the import file has only the new models of translation, it will eliminate the existing patterns of translation in the system?

  I don't have a system of cucm lab to verify this behavior?

  I often do and it's the only way to bulk add translation models. It removes all the reasons for translation it will only add/edit the translation model. If all the new models it will simply add your new entries.
